I bought the whole set of these action figures of A Christmas Story from Amazon. The "Old Man" has a right hand for both hands! No left hand, just another right hand attached. The Mom I ordered has her right leg considerably shorter than the other, she won't stand up, you have to put something under it to prop her up. So far, these two are defective pieces. Oh well, just too much trouble to send them back.

My three year old got this for Christmas and she loves it. It helps with colors and shapes. It even has a little addition. One part has your child count all the books on a page, another has different types of vehicles, and yet another teaches open and closed. Also there is actually a story about Clifford. I thought my daughter would get bored but she hasn't even asked to open one of the other books she got yet. There isn't a spot on a page that doesn't do something. My daughter has had to learn how to be gentle though. The pages are tough but not three year old proof.

My children really enjoy these books-they can read along with the narrator as she tells the story. One is five and the other is four and both have no problems changing out the books themselves. Try to get the 3-book sets (offered here at Toysrus of course) because all three stories are on one cartridge and all they have to change out is the book. Great item-reminds me of the read along books of old days (with the 45 records). Highly recommend (can use with headphones for those long trips, too).

I bought the story reader and the Disney books to go with it for my 4 year old daughter. She has a Leap Pad, Imagination Desk, and several alphabet and reading type toys but none that equal this. It is constructed from very durable hard plastic and is very kid friendly. The storys are wonderful and contain sound effects. There is a special sound that lets her know when it is time to turn the page. I believe she is getting a very strong feel for the flow and basic dynamics of reading. She absolutely loves this toy. I highly recommend it.

Like most 4 year old girls my daughter has been swept into the world of the Disney Princess. This book was a great start to teach her how to use her new leapfrog. It was full of different songs as well as different activities and questions at the end of the book based on the stories inside.

Its a nice book for a little girl who likes all the Disney Princess stories. But if your looking for an educational book I'd suggest a different book.

We have had our Leap Pad for over a year and love it. My 3 1/2 yr old daughter just started using it and wanted a "girl book" so Santa brought her this one. It will not work, and says "whoops, that's not a leap pad cartridge!" We'll be going back to the store for an exchange to try again. Bummer, she was really disappointed. All our other cartridges still work fine - never had a problem!

My son loves this toy and we both dance to the music part. He now uses the block as a chew or bite toy I can't really tell the difference

My daughter is 18 mos and has had this toy for over 3 mos and plays with it every single day she has managed to learn how to put the cube in the storybook and loves flipping through the pages and as she continues to grow I think this toy will continue to be one of her favorites. It is easy to carry and it all fits together nicely it is also durable as my daughter has put it to the test many times by throwing it off her high chair. It also does NOT go through batteries as quickly as other toys do. It has been one of the best toys I have bought her! Well worth the money especially since it can keep her entertained for hours!

My 17 month old received this for christmas last year and he hasn't stopped playing with it. He was 5 months old when he got it and laughed at the "chick chick chick" songs. Now he knows the animals and can match the right animal to the correct page. It is a good learning toy because it looks like a little book and the voice reads the words on each page. He still enjoys this toy - much more than many others he has received since then.

I certainly love the leapfrog line of stories, and felt a book on Bible stories would be perfect for my 3 1/2 year old. I have to admit, though, that my husband and I thought the illustrations were a bit on the scarier side. We're going to stick to the friendlier looking faces (same stories) in his other childrens Bible books for now.

Straight from the typewriter of the Above to the playroom of your son, teach your children well with this fabulous book! My son is leapfrogging over all the pagans in his kindergarten class!

My 4 year old son loves this book. He has 8 books for his Leap Pad, and this is his favorite. We take this book with his Leap Pad to church, plug in his head phones, and he is entertained (and learning!) through the whole service. The colorful illustrations have many embedded sounds and my son spends hours putting his pen on all the pictures to hear their captions and songs. There are 7 Old Testament Bible stories that are kid favorites, including David & Goliath and Noah's Ark. At the end of the book, there is a fun "Wheel of Fortune" type game that asks kids to match the people from the various stories with events (don't forget there is also a game on each page). And most importantly, the stories themselves are Biblically accurate. If you child is learning Bible stores for the first time or already knows them well, s/he will thoroughly enjoy this book.

I just bought toy story for playstation.I t is so awsome.The graphics are the best.The gameplay is also awsome.Mr. potato head, woody,al,slinky rex,jessie are all in it and lots more.I have 11 games and this is the one with the best graphic and best game lpay.It is a game were you can find things use your laser and more.There are 14 awsome levals.You have to find pizza planet tokens then you can go to the next levEl.It is possible to find 5 of them in a levEl.You only have to find one but you should get all of them to get to some of the bosses.How do you get pizza planet tokens is easy.Slinky will give you 30 seconds to find like 5 bones.Mr.Potato Head will give you one if you get his ear or eye.And other people will do simalar.I recomend this for gamers over 5.There are no guns exept Buzzes laser.I have seen my share of video games, but this is definatly the best!

You have free movement and many different levels. To complete each level you (Buzz Lightyear) need to collect at least one pizza planet token. (5 on each level) To collect the tokens you can:

1. find five of somthing(1st level it's bo peep's sheep)

2. race against the car

3. finding 50 coins to give to Hamm

4. defeating an enemy

5. finding the extra token

Toy Story 2 is a very entertaining game for all ages. The only problem I can think of is that it is a one player game and everyone wants to use it at the same time. Other than that I think it's great and would highly recommend it.

Ahh... the old man and his beloved lamp - his "major award" - the thing that irked Ralphie's mother and in a wierd way became the old man's mistress. Unfortunately, this model of the lamp doesn't light up, but the Old Man does say 3 phrases from the film.

From NECA, the same company that brought you the "Hellraiser" figures, comes a set of figures from the 1983 holiday film, "A Christmas Story." Here we have the Old Man and his beloved "leg" lamp. The other one, of course, is Ralphie and the object of his intense desire, the brand new BB gun (that will put his eye out). So there are only two figures in the series, such as it is, but they do represent the two iconic items from the movie. Ralphie is a 10" figure and the old man is 12", which does not exactly provide the right proportions between the two figures, but at least it was an effort. You would think the Old Man would have a happier face on his puss, but this figure does sort of capture the funny look on Darren McGavin at key moments in the film. The Old Man can be posed in an appropriate position of rapt wonderment in front of his lamp, and you can also get him to say three phrases from the movie. The only real bad news is that the lamp does not light up. However, for those fans of the film who want to capture the soft glow of electric sex gleaming in the window, NECA makes a 20" version of the leg lamp (that lights up both the lamp and the leg).

What fun! The father's three phrases: "It's a clinker..." "Fra-gi-lee, it must be Italian" & "It's a major award" work without a hitch. Both pieces are well-constructed & easily stand up. The only thing that would make it better is if the tiny bulb in the lamp actually lit up. But why not get the working 20" version of the leg lamp as well.
