Husbands dream coming true!I can't believe that I'm spending so much money on this ugly lamp!.. but my husband watches the christmas story every year, happened to see it on the front of a catalog for only $39.00 and of course now I can't find it anywhere, all sold out!..I guess there's going to be a lot of ugly lamps in our windows this year around the country!.. haha That's ok though.. This will make his Christmas a joyous one, plus it looks like it's much better made then the cheap toy one. So with all of that, it's well worth it, just to see him get something that he wants for sure this Christmas of 2003! I bought him the CD of the Christmas story also, so he won't have to watch for it on T.V. Thank you for guiding me to this lamp, "I think".. haha!..I'll have to have my camera ready to get a picture of the look on his face when he opens it up!To bad there's no spot here where we can post pictures! It's a Major Award! Get the neighborhood talking....WOW! That's all I can say about this lamp. It really is a movie quality prop. It's quite heavy, does not look or feel cheaply made and it looks so amazing lit up . When lit up, the leg & lamp shade both glow a warm yellow. I'm sure our neighbors hate us for displaying it lit up in our front window every night but it's just so darn trashy! The fishnet & fringe is real so you will have to be careful not to snag it on anything and so far our cats have left it alone. The only minor drawback is that it didn't come with an instruction book so we are not clear on how to change the bulb in the leg when it burns out. This was definitely worth the money & a must for die-hard fans of this movie.

My Kids Love It!I bought Toy Story Monopoly Jr. for my 5 year old. I figured since he loves the Toy Story movies, he would like this game. Boy, was I right! He wants to play everyday and even my 4 year old joins in the fun. They are interested in the concept of money and they enjoy "buying" the spaces. We laugh so hard while playing. It's a game for the entire family!!

Our favorite Game!This is our 6 year olds favorite game from last Christmas. I can't recommend this junior version enough. Monopoly is brutal for kids -- lasts forever and you loose your properties. This game teaches counting, money skills, patients, and imagination. The toy story version is such fun with all the great characters from the 2nd movie although; the slinky dog is noticeably absent (another missed opportunity for that toy company). My daughter loves to be Jessie and says her expressions as she moves around the board buying toys and "playing" with them by pretending to bounce the star ball, sing in Mr. Mike or squeak wheezy. We have had so much fun with this game!

What a great game !!My 7 year old son got this for his birthday and loves it. It is similar to regular Monopoly but much easier. My kids love the idea of having to pay to play with their toys. Its a fun game for the whole family, my 4 year old also enjoys it.

Woody Is Grrrrreat!!!Oh my gosh this toy is by far the most wonderful toy story toy on the market! My son has the original pull string woody as well and this one is just the iceing on the cake. He really loves it with the extras. I would advize all parents who are going to invest in toy story acessories to purchase this woody before all others.

Great toy for IslaWe found that toy really stimulates our little girl's imagination. She is only 2 1/2 years and has most of Toy Story 1 and 2 memorized. Woody's little legs dance when she holds him standing up. She loved that. This toy's personality speaks to her and she just enjoys him immensely. As for Buzz Lightyear...we plan to purchase...really soon, despite some of the bad reviews. It will be like gold to Isla.

My daughter loves this.I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter for christmas and she hasn't put it down yet. My wife and I both love this toy because our daughter can pull it out and read it herself when ever she wants to hear a story. We're going to buy the whole set of books that can be used with this so she can hear all of her favorite storys anytime she wants. We highy recommend this toy.

Better than I had hoped for.My 2 1/2 year old loves the whole series of books, it has developed a good focus of reading for her instead of watching TV/movies. We read these books every day, many times more than once each book ! This is a great product.

1 leg shorter than the otherI bought this whole set of action figures and the Mom has her right leg considerably shorter than the other, enough to where she cannot stand up, has to be propped up. The "Old Man" I bought from Amazon also, he has two right hands, no left hand, just another right hand attached. Too much trouble to send these back, so oh well. Just beware of mismatched limbs!

I gotta go!Poor Randy. Ralphie's mom is the uptight, yet upbeat mom who means well. Here she is, in her proud 1940s garb. Poor Randy is bundled up so tightly for the winter weather, he can't even rest his arms at his side.
All we need now is Ralphie in the bunny costume!

A great leap bookSince my little one is a huge fan of the Toy Story movies, this book was a no-brainer. When it arrived, we were not disappointed. Aside from the usual Leap Pad features that we love (word recognition, story reading, etc) the book is filled with great little games. One game in particular plays like a board game with a "spinner" or "dice". Your little one gets to pick our her "piece" and roll away! But watch out for Evil Emporer Zurg!
I give 3 stars for durability, as I will for all Leap Books, only because the book does not provide storage for the cartridge. It sure would be nice if the books had small plastic sleeves for the related cartridge. We have a number of books and keeping the books and cartridges together are a little tough. The chances of losing the small cartridges will keep my durability rating lower than 5.
Also, the 3 stars for durability is related to a design "flaw". The wire from the pen and the bottom of the book are constant fighting for space. To turn the page, without possibly bending the page, requires you to hold the wire down so it doesn't interfere with the page. Easy enough for an adult to do, however my 5 year old doesn't remember to hold the wire down all the time. 50% of all of our pages have creases in the bottom of the pages...all in the same spot!

Bravo LeapFrog!I must admit, this is the best Leap book my son owns (and he has 27!). It is a first grade book. My son is only 4 and is in preschool. This one had excellent games where they learn letter sounds, letter recognition, and the part he loved best was the game that was formatted like a board game that he could actually complete on level one. Of course there are games above his level such as making three letter words, meanings of words and such. This kept my sons attention the longest out of all his Leap books. I highly recommend this book to any preschooler, kindergartner or Toy Story fan! Again, Bravo! LeapFrog! As with all Leap books, thicker pages would be a great idea!

Had the whole family engagedMy twin six year old boys have had their Leap Pad for two years and this is hands down the best book we have ever had for it. They will even pass up video games and TV to play the educational games in this story. They are the kind of boys who love their characters and this is the first educational book for older children that I have found that teaches through the familiar characters that they love. The whole family enjoys playing the games in this one. It has brought new life to our Leap Pad!

Great toy for preschoolers!My three year-old daughter can't put this toy down. She loves to change out the cartridges and books herself and listen to her favorite Disney stories over and over. It's worth every penny! We have all the books and we will buy the new ones as they come out. The batteries seem to hold up well, at least 15 hours of use so far on one set. Highly recommended toy!

Love it, need a carrying caseThis is better than read-a-long tapes, because if my son turns too many pages, it automatically knows to read the page that he turns to. With read-a-long tapes, I would have to fast forward or let him listen to the wrong pages. Very durable casing, and the cartridges are easy for him to change on his own. I love this product and he does too. Anyone know where to find a carrying case for multiple books and cartridges? The Toy itself only holds one cartridge and one book. Although some cartridges have 3 stories, it still only holds one book.

Good ChoiceMy twin boys got this as a third birthday gift. They sit down together and let the story reader read to them time and time again. It is amazing how they don't fight over it. I would recommend this to anyone.

Everyone's a Winner with This Game!I have played this game in large groups and small groups. The large groups will consist of 8 people and the smallest is 2. When I have played a one on one game with a friend I leave with more knowledge about the individual than I went into the game with in large groups I feel more comfortable with each individual on a different level and usually I hear people say where can I get this game. I smile and kindly say just about anywhere.

Awesome group fun!I've played this game three times and had three wonderful experiences. The first time was with three generations of family members. Everyone from Grandma to my 7-year-old was totally engaged in the converstation that was sparked, and the stories that came out that night have been retold many time since. The second time was with a group of adults I worked with. The bonding we all felt at the end of the evening caught everyone by surprise. The third time was with a group of adults, some of whom were new to our group. Again, everyone had a great experience! Buy this game and settle in for a long evening of fun and conversation!

My son is crazy over this game!Its been a great addition to our kids games. Its nice to have games for the younger ones that they can enjoy! I only wish it was easier to find in stores!
Family time!I love playing this game with my kids. The controls are easy and the concept is straightforward. By owning the movies, you must own this game for the young and old gamers.
To the race track and and beyond !This game is fun. If you liked the Toy Story movies than you should like this game. I think they should have made it so you can play as Zurg, Jessie, Bullseye, and Stinky Pete the Prospector. I think that Buzz should be the fastest and toughest since he's a space hero. The gameplay and graphics are top quality. I really liked the music for some of the courses like the gas station or Andy's neighborhood. My personal favorite character is the LGM toy. I recommend you buy this game if your a Toy Story fan. The LGM's lines are funny.This game may be hard for little kids though. I hope you found this review helpful.
This is the ultimate in Movie Trivia Gadgets. The lamp that only it's winner could love. Now you can buy it for 150 bucks. Put it in your window at Christmas time, and wait for the envious neighbors' comments. Just tell them it's a major award you won among hundreds of thousands of entires. Look out for a less than thrilled spouce, who may find a way to accidentally brak your beautiful lamp. And be sure to hide your small child's eyes, as this is not a G rated item.
