    Can't do without!
Affectionately referred to as "baby" by my two-year old daughter, this is her security item. I am ordering two more for times when the one is in the wash or left at granny and papa's house. It is very durable and fares well in the washer and dryer. The softest and cuddliest baby we have found yet.

    Baby Girl Loves it
From 6-months to 15-months, my daughter loves this doll so much she doesn't want to go to sleep without it. It comes with us everywhere. I had to buy a second to keep a clean one handy at all times. I just throw it in the washer on warm/cold or hot/cold and wa-la ... a clean 'Dolly' that withstands the high temperatures.

      Doesn't hold attention
My twins got this when they were 18 months and loved it the first day then got bored. They are 2 now and still won't sit and play with it. I'll try it again in a few months to see if it will hold their attention and help with their ABC's.

      Boring toy
My 2 year old daughter played with this toy exactly 5 minutes and has not picked it up since. It was a Christmas gift and I almost returned it and I wish I had. She would much rather use her imagination or sing the alphabet than use this. It has no learning value except repetition.

        Pure Entertainment!
My son got this as a gift and started playing with it at 7 months. He LOVED the music buttons and would be on his hands and knees rocking to the music. I honestly don't know of any other toy that entertains him for that long. He loves to play with the other sides as well, and now that he is 11 months old he seems to understand more of it. I highly recommend it.

        Still loving it!
I got this toy when my son was about nine months old- and he instantly loved the music buttons. Now he's 27 months, and still loves the music buttons. The blocks are now lost, and he never figures out some of teh stuff on it, but he run right over every morning and hits a music button!

A toy that "grows" with the kid!
I bought this toy for my daughter when she was about 9 or 10 months old. She LOVED it because it played music and animal sounds, the phone was the PERFECT size for her little hands (unlike MANY phones sold as toys for her age group) and she liked gummimg the shape-sorter pieces (safely-sized to prevent choking and rounded corners to prevent scratches). Now that she is 14-1/2 mos. old, she can twirl the gears, move the clock hands and even has some success with the shape sorter side as well, but the phone and music are still her favorites! When she is a little older, we will use the clock to help tell time too. The ONLY down side is the button for the pop-up bear is difficult to push.

Mini Polka Dot Rattle, Pogo Rattle, Smiley Face Rattle, and Fascination Station Gift Set
        Made by Sassy
          Amazon base price: $27.99
A full set of developmental toys that will delight and grow with children from birth to their first year are integrated into this gift set by Sassy Toys. Newborns will reflexively grasp the Mini Polka Dot Rattle but won't let go, captivated by the colors they see. It has a classic baby rattle shape with plastic rings and a nubbed handle for tactile stimulation. An innovation in rattle design, the Pogo rattle is atom-shaped. It has lots of places to hold and is more than a tool for distracting a cranky baby, it's also a teether. Smiley Face Rattle adds more interactivity with a push-button squeak nose, crazy eyes, and a mirror on its backside for when self-awareness dawns. Winner of the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award for best toy, Fascination Station has so much to focus on: four spinning delights of sight, feel, and sound mounted on a base that can be hand-held or stand on its own. Each of these toys has won numerous parent association and industry awards for age-appropriate design features and exceptional quality and safety. (Birth to 12 months) --Lynne Sampson

          We love Sassy
My son is 13 months old and still loves his Sassy toys. The Fasination Station is the best. Sassy is a great company and very nice to deal with. Quick to replace items that don't meet satisfaction.( Some of there things don't really preform like they say and can be disapointing.) The only problem that I have had is the paint sometimes melts off if taken in the hot car,or can be chewed off by teethers. All Jac's Sassy toys look 2 years old two weeks after he gets them.Still we love the bright colors and comination of sounds ,textures and activities some of the Sassy toys offer. We own almost everything in there line of rattles and developmental toys and bath toys for newborn to 1 year. This set is great. We couldn't go anywear without the Fasination Station. And he still loves it and the Smiley Face mirror.

A must have for a growing baby!!!
You can't go wrong with this set. The toys can be introduced gradually as baby grows. While still in the hospital my son would grasp the Mini Polka Dot Rattle. It did not take long for him to realize he was the one who made the noise when he shook the rattle. The Smiley Face Rattle was a big hit at around 8 weeks. He loves chewing/sucking on its nose and when it squeakes he squeales. The mirror on the other side soon became a big hit as well. He loves holding it and talking to himself. The Pogo Rattle made its debut around 4 months and proved itself a winner. Its unique shape is like a puzzle that he still loves trying to solve at almost 1 year. The fascination Station has been reserved as a special toy for nights out. At resturants I suction it to the table and baby stays happy while I actually get a warm meal. This toy is really like five toys in one. Each piece is so different that there is always someting new to do. These toys stay at the top of the toy box!!

          Fascinates Baby
These toys are the only ones my 8 week daughter will look at!
The smiley face is adorable and the red nose even squeeks to get baby's attention. I can't wait until she can hold these toys on her own, since she loves to stare at them for a good 15 minutes.

Excellent puzzle, but who lives in a pentagon house?
This is a great puzzle, it's very durable, the handles are big and great for little hands. My daughter loves to take the pieces out and bang them together like cymbals. Under each shape is a picture of something of that shape, you know stop sign under the octagon, etc. However, there is a house under the pentagon and it drives me nuts - whose house is pentagon shaped!?!!?

            great learning tool
I purchased this puzzle for my daughter at 17 months old. I like the fact that she can handle the pieces in her little hands. It is made very well.

Great toy and great educational value
I bought this for my 13 month old son. He is a premmie and is behind in his congitive and motor skills. He abosultely adores it. The large nobs are very easy for small hands to grasp. This is a very thick puzzle thicker then most wood puzzles I've seen. The large thick shapes make it easy for yound children to slide the pieces into places. Within 2 days of getting this he could put one of the pieces back in. And now a month later he can do them all and match the shapes up. It is wonderful we are so pleased with this item.

            Little Leap
            Made by LeapFrog
            Age Group: 24 months - 5 years
              Amazon base price: $29.99
Ribbit! This huggable froggie is one great learning tool--teaching toddlers and preschoolers the alphabet, phonics, numbers, colors, and vocabulary. When kids press the letters on his tummy or other buttons on his webbed fingers, he'll say the selection aloud. Little ones can also follow along in his 26-page alphabet storybook. Read and Sing Little Leap engages kids with tunes like the ABC's and an interactive phonics song, as well as four learning activities. Although this little guy is never too taxing on the eardrums, the volume control and auto shutoff are wonderful features that allow kids to take their smart friend with them into dreamland (and ensures longer battery life). The frog requires three batteries, which are included. --Melissa Wilson

My 1 year old even loves it
My daughter got this for her first birthday from a famiy memeber, I thought well she is a bit young but now at 16 months, she loves it! I like the fact that it is educational, not just making noises, She is learning so much right now at this stage I am glad that there are toys like these to entertain yet teach and she loves it~what more can you want! I can see this being a toy she loves still for awhile to come!

              Great toy!
My daughter received this for Christmas at the age of 17 months. At 20 months, she can say most of the alphabet, and those letters she can not say, she substituts the sound. Leapfrog is wonderful!

              the toy wears out
I have purchased this frog twice, and one time someone gave my son this toy, and out of the three we've had (in two years), none of them work. The computer chip seems to mess up and say some of the letters at the wrong time (or that is my experience, anyway). Other than that, it's fun while it lasts, but when it starts teaching my son to say "P" instead of "H", that isn't good.

With LeapFrog’s Pretend and Learn Shopping Cart children can have fun and learn while grocery shopping. This interactive shopping cart encourages open-ended, imaginative play and introduces fundamental math skills to preschoolers. Play begins with the easy-to-use scanner attached to the basket. Start by selecting one of three learning modes: Explore, Learn, or Shopping Games. Buddy Tad will start the fun by asking what items need to be scanned. As a child picks and scans the items, Tad will encourage and help them along with fun songs and clues. Kids can learn about colors, food groups, quantities, counting, and healthy facts about food. As with all LeapFrog products, children will develop language skills, reasoning skills, exploration and creativity, cognitive development, and gross motor skills. If quiet play is desired simply switch the cart to the Off position and let your child explore and learn on their own. The shopping cart requires minimal assembly and is made of durable plastic with smooth, rounded corners for small hands to grab easily. It measures 22 inches high and stands sturdily on the wide base and four solid wheels. Requires three AA batteries (not included).

                Is best with cash register
I purchased this cart and cash register for my 18mo girl and she loved the cart but when i showed her the cash register she loved that even more. She also climbed in and out of the cart and loves scanning the food on the cash register. I give it 5 stars b/c of its compatibility with the cash register. However I only paid 20 bucks for it and 15 for register and probably wouldnt have paid any more than that for them. She's had the toys for 2 months now and still plays w/them, which is good for a now 20 mo toddler.

                A Good Cart But...
My two year old son got tired of it very quickly. While it's more educational than your run of the mill shopping cart, I feel that it's a bit limited in its educational value. I guess if your child doesn't already know colors and numbers then it would be more worthwhile. It's not a good cart for pretend food shopping because there isn't much room in the cart. The worst part is that the volume is right on top by the game selection. What were they thinking?? We ended up putting a piece of tape over it because my son had more fun turning up the volume than he did "shopping" with the cart. I love Leap Frog products but this isn't one of our favorites. I think a child would have more pretend fun with an inexpensive cart and a bunch of different types of play food.

                Shopping Cart
I personally think this is a great toy and it's so cute but my kids have seemed to grow bored with it rather quickly. I was disipointed, I thought they would just love it. Over all I do think it's a great toy.

My son LOVES this little piano!!!
Wonderful toy!! Covers a broad age range, too! A definite must-have!!

If you get one baby toy, get this one
We bought this toy piano for my son when he was three months old. He is now 10 months, and it is still his favorite toy. At three months, he loved gazing in the mirror and watching the lights flash with the music. Now he can turn it on and off by himself, and he laughs and bounces up and down with delight. He drags it by the handle wherever he goes. He plays with this toy more than all of his other toys combined. I definitely recommend it.

                  Great Musical Fun
Our daughter loves this toy beacuse she can create her own music or play musical games with this toys and she REALLY loves the different instrument sounds it makes. Right now the flute is her favorite. This is a great toy for those what to expose their children to the wonderful world of music!

Sea Monkeys - The Secret to Life
Sea Monkeys are not just a toy, but will teach children of all ages how life is created. From the confines of your Aquatic Zoo you will see spring forth to life some of the most fantastic creatures ever to behold your eyes. These are the Amazing Sea Monkeys. Some folks will say, "oh those are just brine shrimp." No, these are the real deal - Sea Monkeys. Straight from their magic origins these little sea creatures will bring you hours upon hours of joy. Yes, you can keep Sea Monkeys for years, and boy they can get big as well. I've heard it rumoured that some can even get as big as large mice or even hamsters, though they won't when you keep them within their included habitat. I expect that one day I'll come home to see one of my monkeys sitting at my desk working the computer. No doubt surfing the web looking for more Sea Monkey information at sea-monkeys.com. Get it, grow it, live it, and experience the breathtaking life of Sea Monkeys - oh how those Sea Monkeys will bring you joy.

                    Everyone should have Sea-Monkeys!
I am 14 years old, and I have had Sea-Monkeys 2 or 3 times. They are an excellent "toy". Although I personally haven't seen them the instant the eggs are put in, I have always seen them the next day. They are very tiny at first, but they get pretty big. They are extremely low maintenance, and very easy to care for. Just feed them every 3 days (I believe that's what the book says), and they will entertain you for hours and hours! The book also provides information on the scientific aspect of Sea-Monkeys, such as molting, breeding, and what they really are (brine shrimp).

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to keep my Sea-Monkeys for very long, because my little brother would always spill them over. That's why I didn't give it a full durability rating. Although they live a long time, their tank can easily be spilled or knocked over. Because of my little brother, I haven't been able to get Sea-Monkeys for a while. Now he's older, and I can't wait to get more.

They can do "tricks", and the book tells you how to "teach" those tricks to your pets. There are also many accessories and stuff that you can get for your pets, such as a billow to aerate their water, and little "Sea Diamonds" that they will play with. They have pens, watches, and a necklace that you can put your Sea-Monkeys in for a while. THEY EVEN HAVE A LIFE INSURANCE POLICY! My advice to everyone is if you're looking for cheap, low maintenance pets (I can guarantee you'll have more than one!), get Sea-Monkeys!

                    Fun activity
We received this sea monkey kit for Christmas (my daughter is five)and our sea monkeys are thriving. Everything we needed, (except 2 AA batteries for the light), came with the kit. The instruction/information booklet goes into great detail and then the instructions are paraphrased on each packet which are in turn clearly numbered as to the order in which they are to be used. (there is a packet for the eggs, one for the food, one for the water conditioner etc.)

We are having fun watching them grow so quickly and in addition my daughter is having fun (and learning a lot) keeping track on the calendar when the sea monkeys need to be fed, when 'plasma' needs to be added etc. and charting how big the sea monkeys are getting.

This is definitely not the kind of pet that would rate as high as a puppy or a pony, but its the kind of activity that will teach children patience and appreciation for the little things

Older children could easily use this kit without adult supervision and for the younger ones it's a fun family activity.

INSTANT PUPPY-LOVE is a SURE THING with this toy.
This toys is truly a SURE THING!!! This will be your baby's first love. I bought this for my little nephew in December when he turned 3 months old. He must have this toy with him everywhere. Though he has many other colorful toys that make noises and play tunes and have mirrors ... none compares with Puppytunes. I even got him Hokey Pokey Elmo - which he also loves ... but he is attached to Puppytunes. It's so cute to watch him play with this. I actually chose this toy based on other Amazon customer reviews. Those comments turned out to be true!!! This toy is a "SURE THING."

                      Stops my baby from crying!
From 3 months on, whenever my son is fussy and I know he's been fed and changed, I always reach for the PuppyTunes. He loves looking at the bright colors and when he hears the notes, he just stops crying. It's a great distraction! At 6 months, he's still too young to press the paws himself to make music, but when he hears the notes, it just grabs his attention. This toy will keep him entertained for a long time.
