this may be my favorite baby toy. I love hte music and I love the colors. and easy for baby to hold

    Our Baby loves this!!
We bought this befor our daughter was born. She has been playing with it sence she was 2 months old. She smiles and makes all kinds of noises as she gets so excited. The turning of the ends surprises her and makes her squeal. at 4 monts its one of her favorites. I wouls recomend this even for you babies as it is soothing as well as engaging...

    worth it's weight in gold!
my son loves this toy. wind it up and it plays music, has a gentle clicking rattle noise from the cascading beads. It also slowly revolves as to stimulate baby's depth perception and work on thier motor skills of grabbing moving objects. the best thing about this toy is that my son crawled for it (his 1st crawl he is 6.5 months) just hours after we bought it. This is a wonderful exciting toy for your baby!

      My son loves this puzzle
My son received this for his 1st birthday and loves it. It has been a great teaching tool too. I ask him where is the duck and he picks up the duck piece, he is even getting pretty good at putting the pieces back in place - in only a month.

      Heirloom Quality Puzzle
Lights, Camera, Interaction! makes beautiful products and this puzzle is no exception. The wood makes it durable and attractive, the pictures under the pieces make it appropriate for babies as young as 12 months, and the knobs are easy for small hands to manage. The pieces are cut to fit perfectly, so that they slide into place easily once the child has aligned it correctly.

My 12 month old baby is beginning to enjoy this, and my three year old still plays with it too. I can't recommend the toys and puzzles made by this company, also known as Melissa and Doug, highly enough. They are all excellent quality and provide fun learning opportunities for kids.

      Excellent puzzle
My 20 month old is so proud of herself as she puts the pieces in the correct place, and it helps her practice all the names and sounds as well. Very good quality. Highly recommended.

      Thomas & Friends Water Tower
      Made by Learning Curve
      Age Group: 24 months - 6 years
        Amazon base price: $24.99
This miniature water tower is a simple, clever toy that is fun for any age. Attached to a small platform and piece of track, it fits neatly into the Thomas the Train layout that your child has already designed. A lever action pump "empties" and "fills" the see-through tower, so your child will have a real sense of filling up the engine.

Based on the award-winning Shining Time Station television series, the Thomas the Tank Engine train system fulfills all of a child's train-set dreams. Each 2-inch-high, wooden vehicle has black plastic wheels and a different name, character, and face, and there are magnetic bumpers at the ends for easy link-up. Your child will delight in making the pieces interact during imaginary play and will learn social skills playing train with friends. Designed to keep pace with your child's development, this toy encourages the use of new motor and cognitive skills. Other track pieces and accessories are available. --Sandy Hirsch

Neat addition to your train set
We have a LOT of water towers in our city and my son is just fascinated with them. So, I bought this water tower after he refused to stop playing with it at The Anderson's General store. What a great purchase this is! I personally love watching the pretend water going up and down with the movement of the spout. "Water tower" as my little one calls it, goes everywhere with us. To church, to grandma's, grocery store, you name it, it's his favorite train piece. Why, I have no idea but I do know that he, along with every other child I've seen with it, absolutely adores this tower.

        A nice addtion
We recently started adding new pieces to our son's Thomas set, and this is a nice one. The "water" level goes up/down in harmony with the movable spout. Also, this is one of the less expensive pieces (the others, like the fire station, cost as much as the entire Figure 8 starter set!). Add on more fun with this water tower.

We bought one each for them. It keeps them entertained when were on the road or waiting for our meals in restaraunts. It has volume control so the kids can use them in Church to keep them occupied while we listen to the preaching!

A bigger hit than I expected
I got each of my boys (5 & 8) one of these. They love them. The only problem is their little sister (2) loves it too. She keeps taking theirs & playing with them. I just have to get one for her. The boys favorite part is sending pictures from one Pixter to the other. They love their Pixters with or without the cartridges. I have to get lights for theirs though. They are perfect for travel. The volume adjuster took some time to find (might not have if I had read the instructions), but it does have volume control (whew!). I am very pleased that I got these for my kids!

          GET COLOR!!!!!

Color is fun cause im a eight year old! black and white can not keep me interested!

            The Sweetest Baby doll
I bought this baby doll for my litle girl for Christmas and she will not let it out of her sight! It is very soft, very light weight, pretty and easy to clean. I am terrified of loosing it so I'm buying a few more as backups "just in case". In fact my hubby wants us to give these to all the new baby girls born to our friends and family, he likes it so much! Worth the money, it is a beautiful doll.

            Love It!
My daughter - now 14 months - has two of these dolls. One at home and one for day care. She sleeps with them and loves them!
We got one as a "new baby" present and when she decided it was her favorite I bought a back-up. We've washed them numerous times and haven't had any problems. One of the great things about this doll is that she's so light... any small child can drag her around with no problem. Definately a great first doll for any little girl.

            Pretty, except......
This is a lovely little doll. My only complaint is that her few strands of hair stick straight up. I don't know why this bothers me so much, but I've tried everything to get them to lay flat. Another thing to consider - this doll has no visible ears, nose, fingers, or toes. I didn't really think about this one way or another before I bought it, but my daughter is learning body parts, and she is very upset that the doll is missing some. It's kind of funny, but something to think about.

            Go Away Monster! Game
            Made by Gamewright
            Age Group: 36 months - 6 years
              Amazon base price: $11.99
              List price: $14.99 (that's 20% off!)
Designed for competitive or cooperative play, Go Away Monster is a delightful game for pre-school-age children. It gives them power over fears they might have as they "rid their rooms" of scary monsters. By providing each of up to four players with his or her own playing board--designed to look like a child's room--the game cunningly avoids potential squabbles over sharing. Players take turns reaching into a "monster bag" and feeling for pieces of furniture needed for their rooms. If they pull out a monster instead, they can hide it or throw it away while shouting "Go away, monster!" Players may help one another or compete to finish their rooms first. --Lee Strucker

              Great first game for kids!
We bought this game for our son for Christmas and he loves it. It has really taught him how to take turns and cooperate with his sister when playing a game. It is also a lot of fun for him. Our son is has mild autism and the visuals of this game make it easy for him to learn and follow.

Go Away, Monster! is a great game!!
Our son, who is now 3 1/2, has been playing this game since he was 2 years old. It is so easy to learn. The play is so quick that it holds the attention of a 2 year old. It's just like the "grow-up" games with playing boards and pieces. Everyone with young children should own this game!!

very cool for speech delayed 3 year old, great first game
This is a wonderful first game....Be sure to make lots of high affect funny faces and sound effests...oh no...I picked a monster! and then in an exaggerated way take the monster and throw it to the side of the room saying "go away monster!!!!!!" and laugh..and smile. Very good for speech delayed or autistic kids that really need to develop shared attention skills...fun!!!!

              Moneywise Kids
              Made by Aristoplay
              Age Group: 7 - 10 years
                Amazon base price: $11.99
                List price: $14.99 (that's 20% off!)
Created by a volunteer math aide in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Moneywise Kids contains two simple, fun games that will help kids understand how money works, in terms of dollar value and spending power. In the first game, Bill Maker, kids take turns rolling the dice and earning dollars that are commensurate with the numbers that come up: roll a 2 and a 6, for instance, and you get $8. As they accrue wealth with each turn, players exchange smaller bills for larger ones until someone winds up with $100. In the second game, Bill Breaker, each player starts with $100 and earns more money with each turn, but players must also draw "moneywise markers"--bills for such real-life expenses as food, medical care, and taxes--and make payments along the way. And watch out for those hard-luck chips that mean big bills. The player who collects all six markers and still has $100 in savings is the winner. The game is lively and only lightly competitive, with an accent on grasping the mysteries of dollars and cents. --Tom Keogh

                Surprised
Moneywise Kids was the first item my daughter (8 yrs. old) wanted to play with, once her birthday party was over - that should speak for itself!

Bought it through Amazon recommendations and love it!
This game is great for teaching money exchange values. I have seen my eight year old really increase his skills. (I'd love to see the same thing come out with coins). We have played it several times a week for 2 months and are still not bored with it.

My kids like to play it over and over again!
This was one of the favorite games of Christmas. My nine-year old likes playing it over and over again to see different outcomes and to use different spending and saving strategies. Because of the combination of skill and luck, different aged kids can play on a pretty level playing field. My 9 year-old and my 11 year-old like playing it together. We also gave a copy to our son's teacher who is excited about using it in her classroom during academic enrichment time. The game plays pretty quickly and does not require a lot of explanation, yet gets basic money management skills across in a fun way. Aristoplay makes great games!

                  Our Favorite
I got this for our daughter when she was 6 months...and she absolutely loved it and so did I. All she wanted to do was stand at it and play. The soft cube is perfect for learning to stand. She recognizes the rhymes now and gets excited whenever and wherever she hears them...I definitely recommend this toy starting at 6 mths, it is without a doubt worth the money. You will not have any regrets!

Takes my 14 month old out of a bad mood.... everytime!!!!!
What a great toy! I gave this to my daughter when she turned 1. She loves it.. all she needs to do is bang on the cube and whatever side is up, that song will play. Each side of the cube is interactive and so much fun! This toy even has a memory! It remembers which stanza of the song it left off at the last time the cube was used! Now my daughter is 14 months and the fun hasn't stopped. We have tons and tons of toys, but I always have this one available for her. Fun, educational and durable! My 4 1/2 yr old son is a bit hard on the cube, but it still keeps working perfectly. My fave toy and I have told all my friends!

                  Wonderful Toy
My daughter received this for her first b-day. She loves it. Sturdy enough for her to climb on it and when she wants to see another side she pushes it over. Loves the interaction and the songs to go along with it.

                    [my] review
I think this book is very good for learning the skills of third grade. The only thing is that I wish it came with a case to hold the cartridge, book and pen in one place like my sister's Smart guide to 1st grade came with.

                    Mixed feelings
I'm a little disappointed about the Smart Guide to Third Grade, not because it's not good, but because it doesn't offer much more than the sample book that came with the Quantum Pad. I'm sure that someone who has the LeapPad will get more use out of it, but if I had known that the only major bonuses are in the math section, I would have purchased the Third Grade Math Book instead.

                    Seems good...
I give this Leap Pad book 3 stars for fun because my children were not interested enough to even look at all the pages. They played with it a lot, but did not get even half way through, maybe that just means it is full of fun stuff to do, but since my kids have not gone back to it, I feel it does not hold their interest quite enough. Educational, 4 stars because some of it seemed a bit simple, like the space page. 5 stars for durability because it is no more and no less durable then regular Leap Pad books. Dont like the eraseable pen though. Must cover it each and every time, even between questions. If it's off more then 5 seconds, it dries out.I peronally did not find it very easy to keep picking up and putting down pens. I tried using a pen in each hand, and it dried out, so I had to keep putting down the regular "pen" to cover up the eraseable pen. Pretty annoying.

                      Great Learning Toy!
My kids have this toy. They love making their names or words out of the letters.

I find it totally unexceptable for someone to attack someone else. This is for REVIEWS, not to attack people. Who cares if shes not who she says she is? She wrote a good review. She didn't use "their" instead of "there" anyway, and two exclamations is a common mistake. She was probably in a hurry.

Grow up and get a life.

Amazon Has The Age Recommendation Wrong
I just wanted to let anyone who was thinking about buying this item that Amazon has the age recommendation listed incorrectly. Amazon states in the item description that their age recommendation as well as the manufacturers recommendation is 24+ months. I recently bought this for my son. When I received it I was very surprised and upset to see how small the pieces were. I didn't think it was appropriate for a 24 month old. I looked on the container and it says for ages 3 and up. I emailed amazon and after explaining what happend I was able to return the item and get refunded for my shipping costs as well since I was mislead by Amazon's description. However, I would have assumed that once Amazon knew they incorrectly listed the appropriate age for this item that they would have changed it.

I plan on buying this toy
I have been looking for new bath toys for my daughter and can't wait to buy these letters (and the animals). I found all of these reviews very helpful, especially the one from the teacher! I also believe that it is important for children to learn both upper and lower-case letters.
What I find "inexcusable", however, is the attack made on the teacher that took the time to write an informative review. I would think that someone with a "modicum of intelligence" would understand that these reviews are here for a parents' benefit, and are meant to help all of us buy the best products available for our children. Isn't THAT what is most important"!!!!!!"
