    5 Star Review!
As a teacher and a grandmother, I am always looking for that particular toy that will be educational as well as entertaining. In my teacher/grandma role, there is a fine line between buying something that "looks" educational and something that is a "toy." LEGO products have always met the goals I am looking for. This particular product is something that will grow with the child and give them many hours of building enjoyment. Believe it or not, parents, there is plenty of logic and math concepts in this product. I use LEGOS in my math lab to teach all math concepts from basic addition and subtraction to fractions. The kids think they are having a free day when we use the LEGOs. (In their eyes, if we don't use a book, we are not doing math.) Little do they realize just how much math and logic they are really getting.

My ten-month old loves this toy!
My son was given this toy for Christmas. He loves to sit and play with it. It has many different parts that make different sounds. The whistle has two different ends with two different sounds. One end is more difficult to make noise with, but he loves to hear his mom or dad blow the whistle. The belly of the one man band is a drum. My son loves to bang on things and this drum makes just the right amount of noise so that he loves it but I don't get a headache.

        Lauch time!!
We have been searching for a shuttle for a year now and are glad to have found this one. The shuttle itself is durable, yet safe enough for my one year old to play with as well as my older two. They love to fly around, dropping off the rocket boosters and the re-landing on the launch pad. The space vehicle and astonauts are an added bonus, even though they do not fit together. As a first shuttle toy, you can't beat it!

Or u can learn fingering from the books that come with this lovely Piano. The sound is of even a good quality . I loved the color and it has the look of a real piano..It helped me get a good start in music. I still play the piano.

            Giant Castle Blocks 32-piece Set
            Made by Imagiplay
            Age Group: 18 months - 6 years
            • 32 blocks
            • Nontoxic inks
            • Cardboard construction
            Amazon base price: $
            List price: $39.99 (that's NaN% off!)
Kids will spend hours building life-size castles and fortresses with this sturdy cardboard block set. Included are 32 blocks: six large red "brick" blocks, six medium-size yellow blocks, six small blue blocks, four drawbridges, four arches, and six turrets. This set is terrific for hours of imaginative play, and it can be used with other Imagiplay blocks to build large, life-size structures. Parents can use the castle structure to spark imaginative pretend play (who doesn't want to be a prince or princess); they can also encourage mathematical skills by helping kids discover that one large red block is the same size as two medium yellow blocks or four small blue blocks. Imagiplay blocks also enable children to explore and discover how they can control their environment and manipulate the objects within it. Made from 50 percent recycled cardboard and printed with nontoxic inks, the blocks have a smooth, water-resistant coating so they can be wiped clean. --Lauren Bernard, mother and elementary school teacher

            My kids love these blocks!
My 3 year-old and my 6 year-old love these blocks. They build castles and then knock them down. The blocks hold up fairly well, you just can't jump up and down on them. We've had ours for almost a year and my kids still play with them all the time.

            Henry the Green Engine
            Made by Learning Curve
            Age Group: 36 months - 6 years
              Amazon base price: $
From the popular Thomas the Tank Engine book series and television's Shining Time Station, based on the Railway Series by Rev. W. Awdry, comes Henry, the proud green engine. Made of hardwood, with shiny green paint, a three-dimensional face, and a magnetically coupled coal car, Henry is ready for hard work. Being one of the largest steam engines at Shining Time Station, eight-wheeled Henry, also known as No. 3, can easily pull several freight cars along with his 2-inch coal car. Wheel axles measure 1 inch across and fit standard Brio wooden train tracks, and similar 1- to 1.5-inch grooved train tracks. Train buffs young and old will enjoy recreating authentic railway scenes as they collect these wonderfully crafted, classic train cars, bridges, ramps, tunnels, stations, and more from the Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends Wooden Railway System. --Kathryn Gustafson

I noticed the numbers on all the engines so I bought this one so I could make it so my son could count the engines from 1-10. This is number 3. Only the coal cars are marked. This is a large engine. It's size makes it difficult to push around and it derails easily. My son is 16 moths old and has trouble with this engine I recommend it if for the 2+ crowd.

              I Spy Preschool Game
              Made by Briarpatch
              Age Group: 4 - 5 years
                Amazon base price: $
"I spy with my little eye" is the chiming chorus of road trips with kids, and also now of this game for preschoolers. It develops reading skills through colors, pictures--the high-impact compositions of everyday stuff from the I Spy books by Jean Marzollo--and rhymes. Different games are possible with the same set of easy-to-read cards: listening, rhyming, and matching. Older kids can play with their younger, nonreading siblings without any rivalry. That's because, in this game, everybody wins. But in order to succeed, you gotta stop, look, and listen. --Lynne Sampson

                No Batteries required!
This game was given to our 3 year old as a gift and he loves it. His little sister, who is two, also loves this game. This game really helps to develop a childs ability to concentrate on visual cues. It is basically a matching game combined with a puzzle concept. There are no complex rules to learn, so within minutes of opening the box any child can begin to play and enjoy this game. As each match is made the child receives immediate reward and motivation to find a new match. Best of all is that this is a simple game with no buzzers or bells and is best played with the TV turned off.

                  Educational and fun toy
I just purchased this toy for my 22 month old son who is not talking very much yet in hopes that this will help encourage him to talk. My son loves it. In two days, he started saying some of the sounds that the letters make that he previously hasn't said. He hasn't started saying any of the words yet but he is paying alot of attention to them. He also likes the songs that this toy plays. One of the songs says touch your nose, touch your toes and my son follows along touching his nose and toes. He already knew how to do this but it's really cute to watch him play along. It assures me that he is paying attention and may encourage him to start saying the words since he is already starting to say the sounds.
