    Alex's Favorite
My 4 year old loves his Strong-Bot. He is able to change it on his own and his older brothers even think it is fun. When he had money of his own to spend, he even chose to buy more Go-Bots! This is one of his favorite toys!

    Fun for brothers
My boys, ages 4 & 2, love go-bots. The 2 yr. old is still learning to change them back and forth but my 4 year old is a pro. These are toys that they play with together. They love construction and dinosaurs so we have stong-bot, reptron, and the one that is a forklift. My 4 yr. old was allowed to take a toy into his adenoidectomy and he chose reptron.

I get by with a little help from my friends...
BREAKING NEWS: Transformers and Go-Bots end two-decade-long conflict by joining forces.

With all of the unrest in the world today, it's comforting to know that two head-strong rivals can set aside their differences.

Like oil and vinegar, cats and dogs, Gary Cherone and Van Halen -- Transformers and Go-Bots were two things that just didn't mix. Today, they join hands (or bulldozer scoops, depending on which form they are in) and return as a sure-to-be timeless collection of toys that children the world over will want.

Stubborn and courageous, Strong-Bot is the first spawn from this collaboration. Bulldozer by day, rubber-tread chested robot by night -- Strong-Bot battles the forces of evil with his massive hands and heart of gold.

Playskool/Hasbro spared no expense when they combined the two toy lines into one. By eliminating the qualities of the dumb Transformers (Jetfire) -- and replacing them with the qualities of the cool Go-Bots (Cy-Kill) -- children are left with one of the most realistic looking vehicle-to-robot toys on the market today.

    Mighty Robots. Mighty Vehicles.

    Indeed.

My son makes good use of it!
My son received this set for his 5th birthday and loved the designs on it. The elbow and knee pads are effective and are easy to put on with my help. He had the opportunity to get a new "big kid" helmet with a sleek design and said he liked his better. He can put the helmet on easily by himself, although the straps sometimes get tangled. It is great for our purposes, although if he starts doing some of the bicycle tricks some of the neighborhood kids are doing when he gets a bigger bike this Christmas, I feel I will need to invest in a higher quality helmet that can protect the head a little better.

Mr. Potato Head Silly Suitcase 25 Pieces
        Made by Playskool
          Amazon base price: $15.99
Movie star, master of disguise, starchy tuber extraordinaire: is there anything Mr. Potato Head can't do? This specimen comes with 25 different features to mix and match, including glasses, ears, mustache, lips, arms, eyes, and hat. There's even a sticking-out tongue, in case he's feeling especially silly. All the pieces tuck inside his body for storage, and the whole shebang packs up into a plastic suitcase for face-making fun on the go. --Mary Park

Vintage- You could never go wrong
An excellent toy; it promotes motor and gross skills as well as creative thinking; the children are not only proud of their creation but you could determine thier understanding quite a bit. it holds their interest because it provides versatility. Excellent choice.

          Great piece storage
There are quite a few pieces that comes with this version. The suitcase holds everything! This makes clean-up very easy for my kids. The pieces aren't like the traditional pieces that come with the regular Mr. Potato Head. They are funny & brightly colored. Like the traditional version, kids still like to make funny faces and put parts in the wrong place. You can't go wrong with this toy or any other Mr. Potato Head. He is a classic!

          We love this...
My mother had bought this Mr Potato head for my son in hopes to learn the body parts (head, arms, legs etc)...not only did he learn to say the body parts but he doesnt put the toy down. He loves it! The suitcase that comes with it is an excelent idea for parents. Us parents know how frustrating it is when our children get new toys that come with tons of small parts that can easily be lost. The suitcase helps keep all the parts together...I even get my son to put the parts in the suitcase himself (good way to teach him to clean up). Our dog although got a hold of some of the parts and chewed them up...Our son was so upset, we had to go out the very next day and buy a new Mr Potato head...this is certainly not a toy that collects dust in our house!!

            fun,but not much sound
my 1 year old has alot of fun with this truck, only downside is that it doesn't have much volume, very hard to hear the siren and engine sound.

            outstanding first truck
We got this for my 12 month old, and he ignored it for a few months. Now he loves it. He pushes it around backwards, holding on to the siren part. He likes to push the license plate and hear the sirens and the horn. The wheels are big and chunky, but the body is soft and mushy. So he can be clumsy with it and not get hurt.

            Overall, a very good purchase!

One-year old claps hands with glee!
My one-year old granddaughter was using balls like cars saying zoom, so I went to buy a car or truck for her. Not easy! Most say not for under 3 years due to small parts, and of course, were made of hard metal. I was thrilled to find this big, soft truck with large wheels, but not as thrilled as she was to receive it! She clapped her hands with glee, and played with it right away! She loved that it makes zoom zoom sounds when you press the licence plate at the front of the truck! It also makes beep beep sounds and siren sounds, too. Mommy liked that it doesn't play silly songs! I am now going to buy a second one for my grandson 10 months old as it was a "cousin tested and approved" toy!

              Toy Crazed Mom!
Keep in mind that my son is only 6-7 months at the time we bought the toy, so his interest might change later, but so far here we go.... He wants to stop the ball on the top, on the track down, or just take them out totally,so far -- making it not work well. He easily tips it over because its top heavy -- making it not work well. Ours needs assistance to make the balls come out the top by pushing the balls at the end down - then they'll come out, but that's every time. There should be a mode where you can leave it on always - and not have to keep hitting it to amuse your son who can't figure it out yet. It's not a self play toy. Buy the one in the completley closed box, not the one with the balls showing through - their motors are way too loud, and drown out the music - those are the ones with the solid colored balls in them - BAD. Oh yeah, and they are easier to pull apart too. I think that if I put new batteries in it all of the time, I wouldn't have to assist to make the toy work properly every time, but who wants to do that and can afford it! I hope he likes it more when the balls pop out and he can get them, that's what I'm waiting for, because he also might be able to play a little more solo by then too. It does entertain though. I bought it and kept it, and I have no problem returning toys if they bug me AT ALL.....so it's all right.

              Fun toy
I put this together for my son when he was 6 months old. I would push the plunger and he would clap when the music played and the balls went everywere. By 8 months he was putting the balls in the chute and taking them out. He was also taking it apart. He has taken it apart so many times that it is now takes some work to get the orange piece back into the holes since it has bent a little. He still plays with it at 11 months old, but he still takes it apart when he is done. He loves the balls and the music it plays. HE has been trying to figure out how to get the pink fan off. Luckly that is attached!

              Fun Fun Fun!
We first bought this toy as a gift for our nephew who was 1 at the time. He couldn't get enough of it, and neither could our 2 1/2 year old. He cried when our nephew took it home with him so we ended up getting one for him as well. A year and a half later, he still loves it and so does our 1 1/2 year old daughter. It has promoted some basic experiments (what do feathers do when you put them inside the toy, for example) and has served as a nice learning toy. The music is fun as well. All in all, this is one of the best purchases we've made, as far as toys are concerned. (We're even buying another one for a gift tomorrow!)

                Zoom, Zoom, Zoom
"Oh,mom this is great!" said my son. Your granddaughter will love this truck! I knew that my grandbaby would not be receiving a truck as a present from many people. I remembered how much my daughters loved to play with trucks, and how very much my son was into trucks. He wanted to be a trash collector when he was young. What a perfect gift for a little girl and her daddy.

This big soft truck is just right for a one-year old. She can try to sit on it, push it, and pull it and won't get hurt. She can try that is if she can get it away from her daddy. The license plate begs to be pushed and a noise emerges. The wheels are big and easy to roll and push. This truck will go over wood or carpeted floors, and is even very willing to be lugged up the stairs by little hands.

The grandbaby has her hands full and has learned the words, zoom, zoom. She loves to squeal when the truck goes rushing by with her daddy. Then it is her turn, and she can push it and pull it and crawl all over it and won't get hurt. The plush cushy cruiser is just right for this little darling. And, now I know the perfect gift for my son's birthday!

                Definitely an inside toy
My son received the dump truck as a Christmas gift when he was 10 months old. He loved it! Nice and soft, easy to roll along... that is until we took it outside. We really assumed that a dumptruck toy should be able to be played with in our backyard sandbox - not the case. After an hour in the sandbox, the wheels are all locked up with sand and the truck no longer rolls more than a few inches. At least it still makes cool truck sounds! Our son (now 15 months) still enjoys it, but I'm sure disappointed.

                Great toy
This is a great toy for your little one. We obtained ours from Target while on sale and we got the dump truck and also the fire truck. My twins LOVE these as does my 2 yr old. They stand up well, are easy to work to get he sounds to go (just push on the top or push the license plates), and roll really well especially on carpeting which is important because most rolling toys don't work well on carpeted surfaces. OVer all i give this toy 5 stars!!!!! THis is well well worth $12.99!!

Music & Lights Sit 'n Spin: Rockin' Tunes
                Made by Playskool
                Age Group: 24 months - 5 years
                  Amazon base price: $19.99
This classic is still spinnin' after all these years--and now it's better than ever. The Sit 'n Spin we all know and love has been spruced up for the new millennium with flashing lights and fun tunes. Just press any of the four buttons on the handle, and you're spinning to one of nine classics that include: "Rockin' Robin," "She'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain," "Polly Wolly Doodle," "The William Tell Overture," "The Wanderer," "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," "Sailor's Hornpipe," and "Are You Sleeping?" Sure, it may be a little snazzier than you remember (thanks to the new colors), but the goal remains the same: hours of dizzying enjoyment. Your kids will love taking this whirling wonder for a spin just as much as you'll enjoy watching them. Requires three AA batteries and a Phillips screwdriver for assembly (not included). --Melissa Wilson

Still fun after all these years!
Sit N' Spin is still a great toy! Durable, easy to clean, and fun for a wide range of ages. My daughter got this as a gift at age 4 or 5, and she still plays with it at age 6. Yes, the "rockin' tunes" are annoying for parents (my husband HATES the music), but we solved this by making Sit N' Spin "basement or outside only" toy. Ours has even survived getting wet on the light panel.

                  fun toy, annoying noise
Our 23-month-old daughter got hers. As a number of reviewers noted, the music is loud and annoying and does not come with an off switch (though it'll turn off after a while, and one can just not press the top of the Sit 'n Spin which turns it on, but the child of course WILL press it). She didn't seem to like the music either--she asked me to take the batteries out. But I found a nice arrangement: I cut one of the wires leading to the speaker (they're easy to see when you open up the battery compartment) and now it has flashing lights, which she likes, and no noisy music, which everybody dislikes. (Why they couldn't put a in slider switch for it, I don't know--it would probably add two cents to production costs.) A bonus is that I assume that with the speaker wires the 3 AA batteries will last for a long time--four red LEDs don't take much power!

Anyway, it took her a bit of time to get the hang of spinning herself, and she does like it. She's not utterly enthusiastic, but it clearly IS fun and looks good for motor development. And today she was entertaining her toy puma with it, so it looks like she can use it for imaginative play, too.

All in all, decent but not outstanding. It probably all depends on the child's interests.

                  It's an okay toy.
I bought the rockin' tunes sit and spin for my son and he loves. He was 17 months old when he got it and it took about 2 weeks for him to figure it out. He's now almost two and this is still one of his favorite toys and he plays with almost everyday. He loves to push the top to make the music and lights come on. I do not like this toy much myself. Amazon describes it as playing 9 different songs but it only plays 6. The songs it does play are not any of the ones in the description. The music is very loud and annoying after a while. I think Amazon put the same description from the classic sit and spin on this one. (...)

                  Lite Brite Cube
                  Made by Playskool
                  Age Group: 8 - 12 years
                    Amazon base price: $21.99

Lite Brite offers a whole new dimension to creative play with the latest rendition: the Lite Brite Cube. While the space to create on is a bit smaller, artists now have four pegged panels into which they can poke colors. The cube requires adult assembly, but once that’s done, it’s just like you remember. Choose a design sheet from the eight included--or go freeform with solid black paper--and start plugging colored pegs into their respective spots. Over 500 pegs are included in a rainbow of colors, and the cube has two drawers to store them in. (These drawers fall out quite easily and can cause a mess of spilled pegs, so be careful when transporting.) New to the peg world are Power Pegs--up to four of the same colored peg molded together for quicker completion. The Lite Brite Cube has a blue plastic handle at the top so artwork can be carried around (and shown off) easily. --Pam Lauer

The lite brite cube is great, but refills are impossible to find. I tried ordering them directly from Hasbro and have been told I will be receiving a refund check because they are out of stock. They said to try Wal-mart and Toys'R Us, but as we know, they don't have them either. Very disappointing!

My daughter loves this toy. She is now 4 years old. I would not recommend it for small children because the lights are small. Sometimes they are hard for my daughter to handle. It comes with many different templates to make all sorts of things, all you have to do is punch the lights through the black template. However, this toy is different than the ones we remember because the lights do not stay in well if used without the templates (making your own design). Also if you use it this way, it is not as easily seen since the background is white.

No reviews found for this product.
                    No Refills Anywhere!
I would recommend that anyone looking for a lite bright buy a used one on e-bay. They are great, but refills are no longer available in stores or from Hasbro. Once you have used up what it comes w/, you have no additional refills available for purchase EXCEPT on e-bay where they are going for $12.95 + shipping.

Therefore, do to the lack of refills, the life of the toy (in my daughter's eyes) is short & not worth buying new for $20 some dollars!

1st Starts - Step Start Walk n' Ride

When little wobblers are bored with walls and sofa edges, and there's no one to offer a hand, they can two-foot it safely across that open ocean of living-room floor with the help of the Step Start walker. This dual-purpose toy acts as stable support as they learn to walk, then lets them roll along when they want to ride. Once they are secure on their legs, the walker converts easily to a first ride-on toy. (Only adults can operate the wheel-lock mechanism.) A flexible antenna, spinning drum, clicking gear, and other sight-touch-sound features provide sit-down play fun. Assembly requires a Phillips screwdriver. --Ava Natov

                      glots of fun
this toy was one of the best things we bought our son for his 1st birthday. he loves it and so dose his little friends. It even was interesting to my 4 year old brother. so I know we will get our monies worth out of it.

Good Idea, Not A Good Toy
We were very excited to receive the Playskool Walk n' Ride as a gift for our (at the time) 11 month old dd. She wasn't quite walking yet and couldn't wait for her to be able to use the Walk n' Ride to keep her on her feet.

We did not find it that difficult to put together, however it did take some time (I might suggest putting together before actually giving it as a gift to child) - dd was uninterested by the time we finished putting it together.

Our daughter was able to push toy without the problem that some other reviewers listed as "not enough room for the feet". She did however have some difficulty turning the toy in a different direction. Because it was so heavy, she had to use all her might to turn sideways. And do to it's bulkiness, we found that she could only play with it in large open areas. Since she was a winter baby, this meant moving the kitchen table to the side of the dining room, just so she could play.

As she progressed we thought maybe we'll give the "ride" part a try. I was equally disappointed with this feature. Due to the "bulkiness" of the toy she had a difficult time swinging her little legs over the toy to get on and off. Also when she sat on it correctly the handle was so close to her chest it really didn't look comfortable and didn't allow for her to get much leverage to push the toy forward.

On a positive note, some of the sight-touch-sound features (such as the flexible antenna, spinning drum, clicking gear) did provide some pleasure for dd. Also, the toy seem to be sturdy enough that dd very seldom tipped it over.

All-in-all I would save your money on this one.

                      Great purchase!
We bought this for our daughter for Christmas when she was 9 months old. When she first got it, she preferred to play mechanic(flipping it over and playing with the wheels and underside)and she also liked to play with the toys on the top. So far, we have not had any trouble with the attachments. Now that she is learning how to walk, she loves to use the toy in the walker mode and strolls around our living room. We have found that when she does hit an obstacle, the toy has held up well and is very sturdy. In the car mode, she loves to have us push her around. She can push herself backwards, but she has not gotten the going forward part down yet. When she wants to get off of the car, we have found that it is low enough to the ground that she has not hurt herself. Overall, we have felt that this was a great purchase and plan to pass it down to the next one!
