I happened upon this one just a few days ago. I had to buy it for our Happy Family Collection. I could not wait to get it home for my daughter to play with. We were surprised to learn that Midge had another baby. My daughter spent the entire evening playing with this set. She loves the fact that Nikki is in the cart eating cookies, spilling milk and just being a child in the grocery store. My daughter and I often go shopping just like Midge and Nikki and she does the same thing. Just as fast as I am putting things in the cart, she is throwing them out. She likes the pretend groceries to put in the grocery cart. After we are done shopping, we load up the Volvo with the kids and groceries and drive to our pretend home. Hopefully you will come out with a Happy Family dollhouse for the family to come home to. Hint, Hint.

I have a Bichon Frise with separation anxiety. The kids can't go in the pool and leave her behind or she whines and barks. I bought this for her and she loved it. She'd swim with her life jacket on. Then when she was cold she'd take a break and sit in this little float. Amazingly it hasn't popped yet! I gave this toy 2 stars for education because my puppy learned to like the water and was with her family at the same time. She became a better swimmer and developed better eye/paw coordination. lol. This and some other inflatable toys on this site are great for dogs under 25 pounds. (As long as you keep their nails groomed and are sure they won't chew on it.) However, boogie boards and floats like those are more durable against aggressive chewers and scratchers.

This doll is so real, little girls treat them as such.They have soft cloth bodies that can be posed in any position, laying down or sitting up. They look like a real baby laying there looking up at you. You expect to hear them say "MaMa". If you can't find doll clothes they can wear new born or preemie real baby clothes. It's a doll little girls can keep for there own little girl's.

I have Trotter the Pony for my 9 month old daughter (We got it when she was about 5 months) and since she loved it so much, we recently purchased this dolphin Lamaze toy. I think the whole product line is great! They are interesting to look at and for such a small object, offer tons of entertainment. They make sounds, have different, colorful patterns all over, have plenty of parts for baby to chew on and all come with a easy hook on feature. I always keep one clipped to my diaper bag and/or my stroller toy bar. My daughter still squeals with delight when she sees her old friends... can't wait to buy Celeste and the others too!

I just purchased this toy for my 22 month old son who is not talking very much yet in hopes that this will help encourage him to talk. My son loves it. In two days, he started saying some of the sounds that the letters make that he previously hasn't said. He hasn't started saying any of the words yet but he is paying alot of attention to them. He also likes the songs that this toy plays. One of the songs says touch your nose, touch your toes and my son follows along touching his nose and toes. He already knew how to do this but it's really cute to watch him play along. It assures me that he is paying attention and may encourage him to start saying the words since he is already starting to say the sounds.

I can't tell you what a lifesaver this play tent is! It keeps baby safe and happy while we're on the beach or at picnics, and it's FUN FUN FUN for her! The material is durable, and it sets up and stores away in a snap! There should be one of these in the car trunk of every parent of an infant or toddler! It's perfect for changing baby too!

My 5.5 yr old daughter loves this doll and accessory set! It was a little tough to put together the first time and took her a couple of days to master reconfiguring the set on her own, but she finally got it. The doll doesn't stay in one item long. After a ten second nap she's converting the crib to a stroller and ten seconds later into the rocking horse, etc. That's OK! It's teaching her how to assemble items and have fun. She doesn't need to play with it for one way for any length of time, now that she can configure it on her own.

My 12 month old got this for his birthday and he loves it. All the pieces are of good quality, no brittle plastic as with some. He really likes the jungle animals (giraffe, tiger, and safari guy) that come with it. It's a good skill building toy since he has to concentrate on trying to stack the blocks, etc.. and also good for creative play. I'm growing tired of everything these days having music/lights/sound, so this is perfect.

My twin boys received this for their 2nd birthday. Both found different ways to play with it, and they fought over it all the time. So, just a hint folks: don't buy this as a joint gift for twins. ;^)

The cartridges allow the unit to play different songs (extra cartidges may be purchased separately). The blocks control the instruments and the order of musical phrases. I really think that this toy encourages the development of a discerning musical ear for children.

One more plus - all of the sounds and music are pleasant, even for parents that have to hear them played over and over again. That in and of itself makes this a great developmental toy to have around.

My son just loves this toy. He is 13 months old, and he returns to it several times per day. That said, his interest is almost entirely in the piano portion, which is detachable. So far, he has no interest in the "lego-like" things. He does play with the other half (little creatures which move and make noise), and enjoys them, but not as much as the piano. Of course, he has many music toys, and comes to this more often because it is raised, and as a pre-walker, he prefers to stand.

Problem: he loves to climb, and tries to climb ONTO this table all the time. It is way to wobbly (spelling?) for that, so I'm constantly telling him not to do that. He does seem to be learning, but I still have to keep an eye on him. However, I wouldn't trade this toy for any other he has right now. Not a day has gone by that he hasn't spent 30-60 minutes at it throughout the day since it arrived.
