It seems to me you could expose your child to classical (or another genre of) music with a well-chosen CD; and you could allow him/her more musical freedom by buying them a child's set of percussion instruments. The combination (CD/instruments) would be cheaper than the Music Blocks toy. My daughter still plays with her percussion instruments -- they're not as pleasant for adults, perhaps, but she has a LOT of fun.
Also, not to be pedantic, but I don't see how arranging the five blocks can lead to "over a million" compositions. There are 5!=120 ways to arrange the 5 colored blocks into the 5 holes, and -- unless I'm mistaken -- only 6 ways to arrange each block.
This leads to 5! * 6^5 = 120 * 7776 = 933,120 ways.

I think it's great for Little Mommies, it helps them with their language skills, because they have to talk clearly if they want the doll to respond to them. I purchased Bailey, and since it's Christmas tomorrow, I've also purchased Jasmine and Jordan, who are supposedely twins, they are little blonde haired, blue eyed My Little Babies, even cuter than Bailey. I'm sure my daughter will be thrilled tomorrow when she can be a mommy of twins and Bailey!

3-stars for educational value because there really isn't any.
5-stars for durability because we just bought it and he probably won't use it again till he is a better swimmer.
We bought this toy for our 18 month old son who is fearless when it comes to the water (but doesn't understand that you can't breathe underwater....so he has to be watched closely). He kept trying to dive out of it and then he would cry because he couldn't reach the water to splash-splash.
This toy is better suited for either a much younger child who is afraid of the water or one that is already a swimmer.

It's a great bathtime toy!

I find it totally unexceptable for someone to attack someone else. This is for REVIEWS, not to attack people. Who cares if shes not who she says she is? She wrote a good review. She didn't use "their" instead of "there" anyway, and two exclamations is a common mistake. She was probably in a hurry.
Grow up and get a life.
What I find "inexcusable", however, is the attack made on the teacher that took the time to write an informative review. I would think that someone with a "modicum of intelligence" would understand that these reviews are here for a parents' benefit, and are meant to help all of us buy the best products available for our children. Isn't THAT what is most important"!!!!!!"
