My 12 month old baby is beginning to enjoy this, and my three year old still plays with it too. I can't recommend the toys and puzzles made by this company, also known as Melissa and Doug, highly enough. They are all excellent quality and provide fun learning opportunities for kids.

They are nicely colored, easy for little hands to hold, and extremely durable. You can build with them, bring them in the bathtub, take them outside-the possibilities are endless. The zippered bag is also a plus, it certainly makes for easy storage.

We got one as a "new baby" present and when she decided it was her favorite I bought a back-up. We've washed them numerous times and haven't had any problems. One of the great things about this doll is that she's so light... any small child can drag her around with no problem. Definately a great first doll for any little girl.

I just brought it out again this year and blew it up yesterday. I had forgotten what a pain it was to blow up. (Pretty quick but it's a long time to a toddler.) The patch seemed to work but after a few hours sitting outside (on the grass) it deflated halfway. I've decided to try a solid plastic pool instead.
For the price, this is a good first pool for a baby/toddler and it doesn't take too long to inflate. However, I wouldn't buy this product again due to it's lack of durability.
1st of all, the bottom enflates so that if your child takes a nose dive, he will land on a cushiony ground. The pool comes with many entertaining toys. The side cones squeek, like a rubber duck, the enflatable doughnuts are very entertaining, my child loved them and kept himself busy for hours (until he turned into a prune!). The dangling stars have little bells in them, so they rattle and they attach to the pool by velcrow. You can remove them and have extra floating toys.
My son is 8 months old and just had a blast. I will take this mini pool with me when I go to the beach, that way, he can be by my side, having a good old time in the his very own cooling pool. We tested the pool in our back yard and set an umbrella next to it so he was in the shade. Our son was just taping in the water, splashing everything, he would go reach for the toys, clap the doughnuts together, watch them float...
Best part is that since it is a small 1-2 kid pool, it enflates very quickly. You can put it in your Beach bag and set it up anywhere in no time. Plus, when your child outgrows it, you do not have a large bulky pool to store in your garage or attic for the rest of your life or until you have a yard sale!!!
It is the best $8, I spent in a LONG time. I'm not sure how durable it is, after all it is enflatable! Even if I get 1 summer out of it, that's all I need it for!

Some of the pieces that come with the doll can be easily lost, and the top of the potty sometimes wants to come out, but those are the main drawbacks. Also, in order to keep her pottying, I have to keep filling her bottle, and in order to avoid a mess, I have to continue emptying the potty.
She is a very pretty doll, however, and my daughter loves to play with her... whether she's making the doll go potty (which she only does on her potty chair) or whether she's just carrying her around the house.
My twins (who are boys, by the way), love this doll. She only wets in the potty, which I definitely appreciate, both as a teaching element and as a mom who has to clean up. She comes with a LOT of gear, specifically related to toilet training.
The bottle and sippy cup are both a little bit hard to fully insert into her mouth, which does make for a bit of a mess sometimes, but my boys seem to have figured out that they have to get the nipples pretty far in, and we're doing much better with that after a short time.
In fact, they loved it so much that I ended up buying a second one, because they both wanted to feed her all the time. They certainly don't seem to mind that she isn't soft - both dolls are getting lots of hugs and love from my kids.
My only gripe - why not a boy? Our dolls do tend to stay naked most of the time (easier for the potty, anyway) and without clothes, you can't really tell. However, especially as a potty training tool, it might be nice to have a little bit of anatomical correctness, (especially for boys) as well.
However, that's only my OWN gripe - from the point of view of two 2-year-olds in my house, this doll is fantastic.

The soft, durable fabric means that there are no more "pinched" arms when putting them on and taking them off and they have lasted three years now. We looked and looked for them in our city but were unable to find them, and are so pleased that Toys R Us carries them.
I recommend these to anyone who wants to teach his or her child to swim or who doesn't want to constantly hold their child in the pool the entire time. *Of course, adult supervision should always accompany a child in the pool!*
Great product, very durable, great price.
