Daughter still plays with this toy!
I received this as a shower gift. It's one of the first toys my daughter was interested in, starting at around 2 months. At 9 months she still loves it, and has figured out how to make the music go by herself. I don't find the music that annoying, maybe because it's classical. My baby takes full advantage of all the features of this toy: the music, things to chew on, rattles, colors and textures. She really looks like she's concentrating when she plays with it. I'll admit at 9 months her interest is waning a bit, but she still likes it alot, esp. to chew on.

If you like "Tinny" Music, You'll LOVE this!
I bought this toy for my 4 month old son after reading all the 5 star reviews. I hadn't seen this toy in the store--I looked for it several times at my local Target and Babies R Us stores, and never could find it.

I was so swayed by all the positive reviews that I felt it was safe to go ahead and order it online. Well, what a disappointment! The first one Amazon sent to us was defective--the music box didn't work. So we sent it back and asked for a replacement. It arrived a few days later and after hearing the "music," I was VERY disappointed! It sounds "Tinny" and it really isn't that pleasant to listen to.

My son likes it but I wouldn't say that it's superior to any other toy that we have for him. We took the batteries out of the music box. If we hadn't, we wouldn't be able to stand to have him play with it. Also, I went shopping at Target yesterday. Guess what "NEW" toy they had in stock? Yep, this very toy and for just $12.99!

It's just another average toy. Nothing special about it....except for the obnoxious "music!"

    Just turn the music off...
My 5 1/2 month old loves this toy. He plays with it all the time, constantly reaching for it, grabbing it and playing with each and every item on it. I figured I'd write a review and recommend it. I read the reviews and the first one talked about how bad the music is. Funny thing is we didn't even know there was music. We had, apparently, never turned it on so our son just loves it quietly :) Once I read the review I found the switch and turned it on- it is pretty annoying.

So, the best advice I can give, is buy this for your babies or as a gift because it's fantastic... just never put the music on. Not every toy needs to make noise and this toy has so much going for it that it's unnecessary.

      Total piece of crap
What a piece of crap this "toy" is. My son is soooo not into this. He's 20 months and hasn't been interested for the last 10 months. Do NOT waste your money.

      Great toy!!
My daughter is 11 months & she absolutely loves playing with this toy. I showed her how to put the block in the giraffe & she's got the hang of it. Sometimes she gets frustrated when the giraffe falls over, but once you set it back up, she's happy again.

      Tippy Giraffe
This toy is too narrow and tips over all the time. My daughter lost interest with it (even when she was 9 months old) when it fell over. I have tried bringing it out again now that she is older, but she still doesn't like the giraffe. I would suggest a different block toy like the elephant that has a "chute" in the head that blocks can drop through.

        This toy isn't so bad!
I bought this toy for my son at 7 months of age and he is now 1 years old and still is having fun with it. I admit that it is noisy and at times you don't want to hear all the sounds that it is making but that's why it was made to stimulate children. I have not had any experiences with it going off by itself unless it was not properly placed on the stand. So maybe those that go off so frequently and in the middle of the night were just faulty or not put up correctly. But all in all it's a great toy and a very good time consumer for your little ones. They get a kick out of it just spinning around and around and as your child gets older they learn how to work the different parts that make certain sounds.

        My son loves this toy!
My 6 month old son and 10 month nephew absolutely love this toy. I don't think the music is annoying at all. (Kinda techno-new agey sounds with a good beat) I haven't experienced any of the negatives the other reviewers have written about. In my opinion, it's one of the best toys for 6 months-1 year olds out there.

        Possessed toy!
I never take the time to rate reviews. But this toy really ticks me off. Both my infant (for whom the toy was intended for) and my 2 year get a kick out of this when I take it out of seclusion. But usually I have it locked away since it periodically goes off on its own. There is no way to turn it off and the batteries are too hard to get to pull them out and put them back in all the time. For a while I had it in the downstairs bathroom with the door closed. I could still hear it go off in middle of the night. I don't need that. I put this on my daughter's wish list this past Christmas which is why her aunt bought it. I still kick myself for doing that.
There was a lesson to be learned here: never buy a toy without checking how it turns off!

          Great Toy!
This toy is great. My 1 year old daughter got it as a gift and she already knows in waht order they go. Is very durable and the colors are very festive.

          Great Buy!!!
Great toy, my 7mo. son loves to play with these pails. The one with the water is a bit heavy so I have to limit the play to the carpeted area in my house for fear that my son may throw it & chip our tile floor. The only complaint that I have is that on the babies r us site they are listed under bath toys, and this is definately not for use in water. For outside the tub its a blast!!!!!! (Look for the Ocean Wonders fishbowl also, its got great sounds, and more flutter balls & it does go great with the pails!!!)

          I love these
These are fabulous. much beter than plain nesting pails

            Definitely not the greatest
We received this as a gift for my son's 1st birthday. At first I thought it would be cool since it has multiple sports, but unfortunately we've found it to be pretty worthless. The only thing my son had fun with for a while was putting balls - and other things - in the basketball hoop. If we ever can't find something, we can usually look in there and it's wedged in halfway down. The design of the spinning balls isn't done very well since by the time a child is old enough to have the dexterity to do it, s/he is probably too tall for the baseball and the golf ball one isn't close enough to the ground. Basically, all the bat and golf club seem to be good for are hitting things that aren't supposed to be hit. We've had this for 5 months now and I wish we had returned it and got something else.

            Confussing toy
At first my 11 month old liked it. He was curious and wanted to see how it worked. However after the first few minuted he was very bored of it. I believe it is to old for younger toddlers. Seeing how my 11 month old did not like it, I thought my 2 year old would. Wrong! All he did was get in trouble for hitting things in the house with the bat. The place that you are suppossed to hit the ball does not work well. As well as the golfing part of it. You hit the ball and it barely moves (and my 2 year old has a pretty good arm). We had the toy out for 2 days and it got put away!

            My daughter loves this toy!
My 12 month old daughter received this as an early Christmas gift and loves it! She plays with it almost every day. I have the bat put up for now- I don't think she's ready for that part yet, but I think this toy will grow nicely with her. She loves to make baskets and spin the golf ball and baseball around the base. I think it's kept her interest well compared to a lot of toys. I would definitely recommend it!

The perfect gift for my 2 yr. old nephew
I recently purchased this item for my newphew's second birthday. He pulled it around the room for a full two days after receiving it! My sister says it keeps him busy and out of her hair.
When there is tension on the pull-string (leash), it plays a two-second clip of train noise over and over. It's not very loud, though, since the speaker is on the underside of the train and is aimed straight at the carpet.
The cars wiggle front-to-back, not side-to-side, and the cars are wide, so it doesn't tip over easily. Even when it does tip over, the cars are big and square, so the little guy can fix them on his own.
Even his five-year-old brother loves this one. It's a hit!

              A great TOY
I have a cusion and he loved this toy. I cant tell ya'll how much that he loves it because everymorning he wants it and nothing else it is a great toy to have.

              It's Cute, But LOUD
This is a nice little train, although, it does tend to fall over a lot. When you pull the string it makes a chugging train sound then a loud horn noise. It's really really loud and scared my son the first few times. But now he seems to like the noise and occasionally dances to it, stangely enough. But for me, it's annoying. Thankfully there's an on/off switch. I would suggest this toy to die hard Thomas fans only.

              Chewy Ark
              Made by Infantino

While we're pretty sure there were supposed to be more animals in Noah's Ark than merely a giraffe, an elephant, a monkey, and a lion, these friends will be enough to provide plenty of fun. The animals fit together like a puzzle inside the boat and the boat can be enjoyed in a tub, a pool, a sandbox, a carpet, or just about anywhere. Babies can play with, or teethe upon, the individual animals while toddlers can have fun assembling the puzzle pieces. --John Moe

                Mildew trap
This toy could have been quite fun if it had not grew mildew almost immediately. The block structures themselves were very hard which made it impossible to empty all of the water out of them after bathing. It should stay on dry land!

                Fun but germ friendly!
My daughter loves this toy, and has since she received it as a first birthday gift. My only problem is that you cannot get all the water out of the boat. Therefore mold grows inside the base of the boat, and if squeezed at just the right time, comes squirting out in bath, or worse, baby's mouth!
Fun to learn animal sounds and colors and my daughter loves turning the animals into squirt guns! I just wish the boat either didn't take on water, or could be cleaned.

                Instructions say not for bath
We bought lots of different things to help our 8 month old daughter with teething - this is her favorite. She loves to chew on the animals - it is a great toy for teething - but if you read the insert that comes with the toy, it says NOT to submerge in water. It is a teething toy. She really loves the giraffe - it is her favorite!

                  Loved it!
i bought it for my 6 month old son; he loved it! He liked holding it while it vibrated and after a while he figured out how to push the button and make it meow/vibrate himself! He loves kitties.

                  Boring
I bought this toy because it was colorful and I figured my son of 7 months would enjoy the vibration ("bounce"). His interest lasted for no more then 2 minutes. After the toy stops making sounds he loses interest. There is nothing to grab a hold of (an arm or leg, tail even) much less to sooth his gums on. The entire toy lacks texture, it is entirely made of hard plastic. I do not recomend this toy for very active and highly alert infants.

                  The greatest!!!
My child LOVES this kitty! It is the cutest thing I have ever seen. It MEOWS and then play a tune and shakes like crazy. I take it with us everywhere we go! CUTE CUTE CUTE

Easy Store Slide Jr. in Red & Blue
                  Made by Little Tikes

If Goldilocks were to give this slide a whirl, she'd probably say it was "just right." With just two steps to the top and a very gently curved slope to the bottom, this beginner slide is just perfect for toddlers. Though it folds up easily so as not to take up much space, the slide may become a permanent fixture in the playroom. An ideal way to channel a toddler's energy, the slide will require a little help for those who've just learned to walk, but will be something that slightly older toddlers can master on their own. And, of course, there's always opportunity for stuffed animals and other toys to take a ride (with a bit of help). All in all, a simple, durable toy that will bring a bit of outdoor fun indoors. --Jane Snyder

                    A big favorite
My son received this slide as a gift when he was 15 months old. It immediately became his favorite toy, although it was a few weeks before he could get himself seated at the top without needing extra close supervision to prevent him from falling backwards. He also needed reminders about where to put his feet when climbing the steps since he kept trying to skip a step. He played on this slide nearly every day for about 5 months. However, after a month or so his preferred activity changed from sliding to jumping from the first step and later from the second step. The slide is still very sturdy and shows no sign of problems. I'm very happy with this slide.

                    Not interested
My 17 month old loves to go on the slide that is on my sister-in-laws swingset so I thought this would be great. We didn't want to get a swingset just yet because he is still too young for most things. But he just wasn't interested in this. I think it was too hard for him to climb that stairs. He would rather have me just put him on the big slide and help him slide down. Maybe if he was older he would like this.

                    Great Slide
My daughter is 20 months old and seems to handle herself very well on this slide. She does skip the first step and go straight for the second step. She seems to have mastered this slide in no time. It may be because she watches her 9 year old 90 lb. brother on it (shows its durability). Learning to climb the steps, to hold herself at the top by holding on to the blue circles and placing her legs in the correct position can take some flexibility that some children may not be ready for. I think this slide acutally helps teach motor skills. If a child cannot do it at first they will keep trying and learn how to use the slide after some practice. My daughter gets so tickled and excited every time she goes down. It would be nice if it were longer. I have decided to get her the longer slide for her birthday and keep it downstairs and use the smaller slide for upstairs in my office/playroom.

                      Excellent
I bought this toy for my younger sibling but played with it myself. It is so much fun! The foam shapes are colorful and eye-catching and are very cute. You fill the mat half way with water, whipe it off, and watch your baby play. The mat makes cool sloshing sounds, too. A funny thing is that it's good for a baby with a fever or outside in the summer if you fill it with cold water. You can do the opposite for colder days.

                      Love this toy
I bought this for my son when he was four months old. He fought spending any time on his tummy until I came home with this. At first, I had to hold him up to play on it to avoid suffocation. However, it was worth it. My son suddenly loved playing on his belly!! He loved the sounds of the water splashing inside and watching the fishes move around. He would bat at them and laugh.

The only reason I gave it four stars is that the fish tend to stick together alot. Storage is a bit difficult too. It's worth it though. I think I paid $5 at a discount store.

                      Son LOVED it!
I bought this for my son when he was 4months old and he would slap the water and now that he is 9 months old he Loves it. He will bat at the little fishys in the sea and try to swat at the head of the ??? not sure what it is. LOL I bought it for $6.99 at a local store and it was worth the money.
