A great toy for your growing child!This toy has taught my son words, colors, animals, sounds, and shapes while also improving his eye-hand coordination and motor skills. The toy does require pushing a "GO" button after each page, though, so until they learn that, a parent will have to assist them or the words won't match the page they are on.
Overall, another quality Leap product.

Very dissapointed.Not advertised correctly.per recipient .I bought this for my grand daughter but apparently she can't use it because it needs something else to use it?My daughter in law informs me it needs the "Leap Pad" to play it in?There is nothing that tells you that it needs something to use it.So I have sent my grandchild something that she cannot use.Why don't you let customers know they need to purchase something else that this is an accessory item.No where does it tell you this!I am very dissapointed and will think twice before ordering from you again.

Meager valueI bought this bed...and had to call in reinforcements to help me put it together. It was very difficult to assemble, the pieces did not fit together well. My daughter has been using this bed for about a year now and it is beginning to splinter (she is only 3 years old). It will hold up for a couple of more years by what I can tell of it, but I wouldn't highly recommend this bed for someone who intends to reuse it for more than on child.
Can't put it togetherI made the mistake of taking apart my daughter's crib before putting this toddler bed together. Big mistake!! The bed came with the missing pieces and could not be assembled. I could not get in touch with the company because it was a Saturday. So my daughter has been sleeping on her mattress on the floor!! ... Don't waste your time!
A GOOD BUY ...This bed was a good buy for our 3 year old! She loved getting into her big girl bed! Although it's getting smaller, and soon we'll have to get a twin size bed. But this is in excellent condition and was very easy to assemble. As for the weight limit, it can handle my 190 lb. husband sitting on the bed with my daughter!

Please stop crying already!I bought this for my son for Christmas. Some little girl in his class had one and he wanted the "boy" version (Jordan). This toy is annoying! It has a piercing high pitched laugh and cry that goes right through us. If you bump it by accident you have to put it back to sleep. The sounds it makes remind me of a weird Japanese cartoon.
It cost a lot for what it does. It really was not worth the $$ but he wanted it.

Not long lastingThis toy quit working within 20 minutes of playing. We replaced it & it quit within 5 minutes! NEVER had this problem with any other toy. DO not recommend!

this is as good as the others.....seems like nobody bought this,espacially because girls like pink,red better than blue...i bought this,Jordan and Jasmine as they say that they are twins...my daughter loved it...now her younger sister wants it too...it teaches them to be a good mother...i was rather embarrassed finding myself playing with it somethimes.but i really must admit that its a great toy,a MUST BUY!!!my daugter never fail to neglect it...actually she do,but not very often...she urged me to buy a bed for her two babies from ikea of singapore.i ended up buying two beds,one for Jordan and Jasmine,another for another two babies im planning to buy for her younger sister(i think im going to buy Bailey and Madison).i think i would end up buying 12 babies for them...i dont mind,because besides fun,its very durable and it seems that it teaches my children a lot about babies...as i had said earlier,its a MUST BUY!!!i still think its a must buy...

Peice of CrapAfter only 2 months this toy fell apart. My daughter loves the toys on it but the turtle fell off and a metal screw was popping out and the snail's threads came out and the stuffing our of the side started to come out of the seams. $20 is not cheap for this toy and I think the quality should have been alot better.
I can hardly hear the thing!Well, I have to say that my 7 month old son likes this. There are lots of colors and toys for him to try to shove into his month. I have only used mine for about a month and a half and already one of the "inchworm's" ears stopped blinking!
And did I say hard to hear? Yup, that's right. This toy bar has a snail that "laughs" and a turtle that "ribbits". And unles you are literally RIGHT ON TOP OF THE THING you can hardly hear them!.
But I give it three stars because kids just want to have something that they can mouth, and my son finds the little animals to chew on!
Love this item!I don't know who likes this toy more, my baby or my husband and I. This is an awesome invention with lots of gadgets and toys to keep baby occupied. Fits really nicely with a Graco Quattro Tour stroller and doesn't have to be removed when the stroller is collapsed. This will be on my gift giving list for any baby I have to purchase for.

Not as interesting as the 'English' versionMy son received this as a gift, and I thought since he liked the 'English' version he would like this one. He didnt seem to take to it as much. The music isnt as interesting and the songs are shorter. There aren't as many options for him. And on a personal level, the Spanish was Castellano with doesnt really help when most of us in the U.S. speak Espanol from the Americas. I think that they should make a version for the children that will be using it here on this Continent.

Spanish from SpainKids learn the ABC's in spanish by repeating what they hear.Press the animals and they talk and press the letters and they are spelled. Not so much fun. It always does the same thing. If an animal asks to press a letter and the kid doesn't press the correct one, it doesn't tell you it is the wrong one or to try again. It doesn't teach to spell any word, only letters. The spanish is from Spain so it is not so good for Latin America because they spell some letters differently.

Fun Spanish Version of the classic "Learning Bus"I actually purchased this bus for my sister-in-law who teaches Spanish. The characters are fun and the electronic "voice" is very animated. Although I am not a Spanish speaker myself, my sister-in-law did notice that the bus sometimes speaks very quickly, which may be a bit difficult for a child trying to learn Spanish.

Not worth the money.The kids don't seem to mind that the piano is seriously out of tune. I don't think this toy is worth the money. We have a $10 little tykes piano that is easier to pick out songs on.

SERIOUS Quality Issues!The only thing I can say is - BEWARE! There are some serious quality control issues with Schoenhut. I finally received this piano after waiting over a month, and even though it was packaged well and the box was not damaged, the piano was damaged beyond belief! The keys were defective, some were stuck, legs were scratched, and there was a dent on the top that someone obviously tried to cover up with paint. For the price tag on this thing, this is unacceptable!
Do yourself a favor... just buy a cheaper brand at your local Toys-r-Us. Schoenhut has no pride in their workmanship.

Precious and Practical!My nephew and niece absolutely love this piano! It is absolutely precious and perfect for their little fingers! The piano is of excellent quality! My niece especially loves to use the colored keys for instruction on what key to press next.

my -oh-my was I disappointed!!!I must tell you that every time I saw this octopus in a magazine or a store I was truly enchanted by him. I told my husband that our 8 month old girl MUST have this toy for Christmas. And as a bonus I told my husband that the age range is listed up to 36 months so our 2 1/2 year old could also play with the octopus. Well, to my disbelief I cannot get either of my children to even look his way. My 2 1/2 year old thinks he is boring and the baby does not find him stimulating enough to play with for more than a few seconds. The hand puppet is cute and we have been able to entertain them with him, but I would not recommend this toy to anyone, especially for the price.

My Oh My!! The Baby Loves These Octopi!!I fell in love with this colorful, floppy octopus duo, large mommy octopus and baby hand puppet, as soon as I saw them. I was browsing through Amazon.com's educational children's toys looking for a super gift for a cousin's baby girl. There was a BIG first birthday party last month and I wanted something very special. I saw this brilliant multicolored, absolutely adorable toy - huggable and bean bag soft, with terrific attachments to help baby develop motor skills and to encourage independent play and I was a goner.
The large Octopus comes with the baby octopus hand puppet, and lots of pockets to hide things in - which babies and small children love. There are also bead runs, tethers on the many bean stuffed arms which are strong enough to support a sitting baby, a mirror and many other attractions to keep a small child very busy. The octopus measures 24" x 19" x 8" and is especially for ages newborn to 36 months.
Well, the party was a success and the octopi even more so. My cousin opened my gift in the beginning and her baby played with it - crawled and climbed all over it, actually, for the rest of the party. Feedback has it that baby is still thrilled with the toy, and her Mom is too. The octopi keep the child occupied while her mother is busy and she's becoming a regular pickpocket with the pocket feature. I am a happy customer. This truly makes a great gift! Christmas is coming! Highly recommended...

Not Highly RecommendedI bought this for my daughter, Lori, because of the doll's name. It is a cute item initially, but the "swimming" mechanism doesn't work as expected. It is a good sized doll and for a mere five dineros, it wasn't a bad deal. We have a hanging basket in the bathroom for the water toys, so it was able to drip dry, and my state isn't too humid, so we didn't experience the mold that another review spoke of. My daughter got this for Christmas and the set was donated to Good Will less than 5 months later. The best part is the shower, which was only fun when Mom operated it--since it was too difiicult for little ones.

Decent for the priceThis was bought for my then 4 and 5 year old, they enjoyed it the first couple times after that it was just another toy sitting around not getting used. This product is fairly large and hard to find a place to store once bathtime is over. We couldn't store in the bathtub because of size and mold on the lily portion. Must dry this product after each use to avoid the mold. The kids did like the fact that baby comes out and can be played with outside of the tub.

Good ride onWe bought this for our son when he was 12 months and he didn't really care about it. Now that he is almost 2 it seems to be a favorite toy. We were about to put it up in the attic when he decided he loved it. Nothing fancy about this ride on but it is sturdy and can be used outside as well as in.

For the person who complained about getting their granddaughter "something she cannot use," there is a book included in the package that someone can read to her. Just because she doesn't have the Leap Pad itself doesn't mean the book cannot be put to good use.
