This toy should not be called a shape sorter, but if you take a good look at it before purchase, it is obvious that it is not. It is bright and colorful, and plush, which is safe for your baby. It squeeks, crinkles and tweet-tweets, and my son loves it. So does my 5 year old daughter for that matter. It is durable, washable and seems to be entertaining for my baby, which is a good thing for any toy. It is a toy that can travel easily (packed in a diaper bag and springs back to life) which means that is is "sturdy" for a plush toy. It is the kind of toy that leaves room for your childs imagination and role play, which says a lot considering all of the toys made today that take away any form of imagination. It was well worth the purchase!

I received this as a baby gift from my best friend (who has no kids). It is easily one of the cutest toys I've ever seen. The three shapes all make a noise: crinkle-paper square, rattle triangle, and squeaking egg/chick. The bluebird on top of the barn sings when squeezed. It is soft-sided and the barn door on back has velcro to keep it closed.
Unfortunately this is not the toy to buy if you are looking for a shape-sorter. While there are spaces for each shape (circle, square, triangle) the soft material allows all shapes to fit through all holes. It's constructed to remain in the shape of a barn, and it does. The 3 loose pieces can be set in the opening of the same shape and it won't fall into the barn so it is also very decorative just sitting there!
Finally, it is durable. In the year my daughter has played with it (she has liked holding the shapes since she was little), none of the felt or fabric pieces have frayed or fallen off of the barn, or off of any of the shapes. This toy has been roughed up, chewed, drooled on, and repeatedly squashed, but it is still in great shape.
I hate to give this a low rating because it is durable yet so darling, but it should not be called or advertised as a shape sorter.

Cute idea, little value. It's not a true shape sorter, because any piece can be stuffed through any hole. I thought it was cute and snuggly, so I bought it for my baby. She was less interested in it than she has been in my basic kitchen utensils. Save your money.

I received this mat as a gift for my second child...little did the gift giver know I had already given the away the same mat. I will be returning it! My second baby is now three months old and the bars fall over every time she kicks or rolls. If you hang any additional toys, the weight will pull the bar down. It's going back. I will purchase another brand that doesn't collapse with every wiggle. My boss said the same about her son's Lamaze drop and pop. What a disappointment.

If you are looking for a little free time from your infant this will do it. My son loved the lamaze playmat. He loved to lay on his back and look at himself in the mirror and reach for the toys. It was great entertainment for him as well as helping him developmentally. Plus it is so easy and portable to take with you to friends, family, and on vacations. The reversible sides are perfect for you to get the most use out of for fast growing children. I was able to use it up until five months, and it can easily be stored for use with future children. I loved it so much that I bought one for a friend for her baby shower.

Durability should be 0 stars! As soon as my baby was able to hold the toys in her hands, she pulled on them and the activiy gym collaped over her.
The arch is not stable enough to put a heavier toy on it. Too bad, there are so many fun toys available and most are too heavy for this arch.

If I could rate this toy a zero on "Fun" I would. This toy is not fun for a baby. I don't think it is age-appropriate for a baby. My daughter is 14 months old and she loves books. She'll flip through them and is even at the point where she babbles along to them like she is reading. But she clearly doesn't understand the concept of this toy and is frustrated and disinterested within 1-2 minutes. We received this toy when she was 6 months old and has not liked it at any point. The concept of this toy is that you push different items on a page as you read. A baby knows how to push a button but they don't know where to push on a flat page. That and at every page you have to push a light bulb that goes "br-ring!" which is annoying and distracting from the actual book. You have to push hard on the pages also. It is too hard for a baby, so they can't really participate on their own (you have to push their finger). I suggest a cardboard book (the Leap Pad has somewhat flimsy paper pages) with push-buttons as a better and cheaper alternative. Save your money; buy real books for your baby. He/she will enjoy them more. I honestly even wonder if Leap Frog tested this product on actual babies, and if so, how many.

My daughter got this as a gift for her 1st birthday. She is a mover and a shaker so she will not sit down to play with it for more than a page or two. She is now sixteen months and does not play with it any more than she did the first day she got it. On a better note...I like the product itself. The pages, although they appear to be paper, are durable enough to be turned and pulled because they have some sort of plastic coating on them. The underside has a detachable cusion that is pink and white checkered. The book has three different "stage" settings that range from newborn to three years old. Also, the books are very easy for me to get in and out.

My girls each received a My Little Baby from the Easter Bunny. They love them! They are 6 and 3. The youngest just wants to "feed" hers but my 6 year old can get the doll to interact with her. While the babies are a little loud for their size, they are by no means distracting or even annoying. And the best part is that they can be shut off---unlike other electronic interactive toys. Pretty cute toys for minimal cost!

My daughter recieved My Little Baby as a Christmas present. She looked it over, but quickly put it down. The little doll ALWAYS cries, and is often put in the closet to avoid the noise. The price of the little doll is not expensive, but considering my it was never played with and avoided, it was a waste of money. I discourage anyone from buying this item.

This is just too cute! The baby's first pooh addition has always been soft and cute for baby.

This is the older version of this toy. The newer version is supposed to be machine washable, so check the label and make sure which one you're getting!

As cute as it is, this toy is only surface washable! Not a very good idea for a baby toy. Try the Sesame Street first friends instead. They can go in the washer and dryer and come out like new.

My daughter got this for christmas last year and all the thing does is fall apart and break. It is very frustrating for her when she is playing with it. Not a good product at all don't buy this toy.

I purchaed this item for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She was just starting to be really into baby dolls. I thought this would be a great gift. Unfortunately, if you put the item together and misplace the directions, you will never have anything but a swing as it is not easily figured out how to convert it into the high chair. Also, it fell apart all the time! It never sat level, and finally I was so frustrated that I threw the thing in the trash about a year later! I would not recommend this specific item, however most of the graco toys I have purchased are much better in quality - for example the bassinet - pack 'n play is great! Her dolls sleep in it all the time.

My daughter loves her dolls & really wanted a swing for her babies. We bought this swing - even though she would have liked one that looked more realistic. It is not very durable at all. The rings on top that hold the seat are are not held in place, they slip and the entire seat are falls over. She gets very frustrated. To be honest - don't waste your money, it's junky.

I saw this and thought it would be a great gift for my 2 year old. Was I ever wrong. The recording and playback features and worthless. Great concept but lousy design.

The idea is cute, but it doesn't work properly. The sound quality is terrible, and then it completely stopped working after five days! I had just added brand new batteries. We have lots of other Little Tikes toys that my daughter loves, but they need to take this one back to the drawing board.

I wish I had read these reviews before I wasted $15.00 on this phone! The sound quality is horrible! Please do not spend your money on this! Little Tikes should go back to the drawing board with this one!

first of all to get all the pieces to the pool requires a small bag, then the toy does not stay connected in the pool as soon as the smallest wave comes near it. the toy does make sounds but my daughter still at two does not seem to be to impressed.

My kids (3.5 and 2) received this as a gift, and at first I was excited--it's cute and colorful. In theory, a great toy. However, my kids don't like it. Water gets inside the dolphins and when this happens, they won't make noises (easily remedied by shaking the water out of them, but my kids don't have the patience for this). They also get very frustrated that the rings that the dolphins sit in do NOT stay linked together. Slight movements that disturb the water will cause the chain to come apart. I'm sure that this would be a favorite bath toy with a few improvements made by the company.

We got this toy for our son when he was 11 months old. He has a great time with it and he was able to make the dolphins "sing" after about a week of playing with it. You don't have to hit them hard to make sound. They whistle for him with a tap. We do have to shake the water out from time to time or they do stop working but that is an easy fix. Our son has now learned to blow in the bottom end and make them whistle. He plays with them in many different ways. They do take up quite a bit of space in the tub but we don't mind. He's having fun.

We don't have the portable version of this toy, but the non-portable version functions exactly as the one here, so I wanted to alert people. Here's what I submitted to the Consumer Product Safety Commission about it: "What happened is one of my son's feet (he is 12 weeks old) would slip underneath and to the side of the spring board, while the other foot would kick the spring board, crushing the first foot between the board and the side of the gym and floor. It caused no lasting injury, however he would scream out in obviously intense pain that would subside after a minute or two. This happened on two consecutive uses of the gym before we figured out what happened (First use we just thought something just scared him - didn't see the incident. Then we watched him closely on second use and discovered the problem)." This toy should be completely recalled!

We bought this for our son who was about 6 months old. We had to put something behind it because everytime he would kick it would fall over. After a few day of doing this we put it away and never used it again...so not worth what we paid for it!

We bought this for our daughter and we regret it. It was a complete waste of our energy to put it together and a total waste of money. Our daughter loved to kick so we thought this would be perfect since it was easy to store and take with us. It is so light that she would kick it over. We tried putting a blanket over the legs and laying her on it, but it still came up under the blanket. Then we tried putting it against the wall, but we got nervous when it would hit the wall and start to fall forward. We were afraid that it was going to fall on her. We used it for about a week and only under strict supervision. Please don't waste your time or money on this.

My daugheter received this baby as a christmas present. My husband and I are continously trying to snap the pieces together. When she wants it into a swing the swings ends up falling in the floor. When it is a carrier, the handle falls off. The carrier cover is too small for the carrier, so we have tied it around the baby. This is definately not worth the time or aggravation.

This is the most annoying toy on the planet. It falls apart so easily! The little white "hooks" that attach to the swing never stay in place and forget about getting a doll in the seat. When it converts into a highchair the seat pops off the hinges! My 2.5 yr old uses the white frame as a pretend walker. Save your money. Cheap, cheap cheap.

I bought this for my daughter who will be 3 in a month. I bought this because I told her if she used the potty I would buy it. Two days later she used the potty. So the next day I went and bought this doll for her. I could barely get it together and I could not keep it together. Everytime she starts to play with it the thing falls apart. The doll stinks like perfume and every time my daughter picks the doll up she ask me what the smell is. I rated this educational two stars because I learned a very good lesson. Do not buy anything with this name brand. I found a similar doll and swing at different store for half the price. I wish I would have went there first.
