Water Babies give little girls the chance to pamper what feels like a real baby of their very own--without the need to develop a diaper-changing regimen. The doll's body is made of soft rubber, nicely detailed with a teensy belly button and little dimples on the knees. An included funnel screws into a plug in the doll's back so that she can be filled with lukewarm water. Once you manage to get the air out of the doll and put her outfit back on--which is a challenge--she's ready for cuddling. Dressed like Lucky from 101 Dalmatians, this Water Baby steals the show with a miniature curved tail, footsies that are stuffed to hold their shape (even though the doll's feet are small), and a hood with short floppy ears. There's also an included plastic rattle that's shaped like the famous puppy, who sits with one paw and ear raised. The doll's outfit is made of 100 percent polyester, surface washable only, and is held in place with Velcro. The manufacturer recommends that the water inside the doll be changed at least once per week. --David Morel
