In true Miyamoto fashion, the game starts with simple running and jumping and gradually gets more complex. Soon, you're swimming, flying, tossing fireballs, and riding one of several Yoshis--cute little dinosaurs--that appear throughout the game. The overall level design has yet to be exceeded in a 2-D platformer, with each colorful level packed with enough secrets to keep players busy for weeks. A lot of precision jumping is required, but the controls are so tight that directing Mario (or even Luigi, who wasn't playable in the original) becomes as natural as breathing within a few minutes of playing.
As if packing the entire original game onto the tiny cartridge wasn't enough, Nintendo also put two multiplayer versions of the original Mario Brothers in there, which are playable solo or with up to three other people using Game Link cables to connect all your Game Boy Advance systems. Both variants are a blast, but the single-player adventure is what kept us coming back for more. If you missed it 10 years ago when Super Mario World appeared on the Super Nintendo, don't make the same mistake twice. --T. Byrl Baker
Pros:
- The game is very replayable thanks to multiple level exits
- Surgically precise controls
- Outstanding level designs that never get old
- Speech effects that were added for Mario and Luigi get old fast

Everything Old Is New Again.
New challenges 100s of new details, not as good of graphics
One of the best Mario games of all timeThe best features about this game are the fact that you can be both Mario and Luigi, have Yoshi (in 5 different colours I might add) and the exclaimation mark stages, the first one (yellow) is the best. This game has so many stages and secrets. The Star World is awesome, especially the Special Stage World, I wish they still made games like this one.
Treading similar waters, this time Mario has a cape and can fly, a lot longer than in Super Mario Bros. 3 where you have the tail and can only fly for a limited time. In this game you can fly over the whole stage...if you want but what would be the point of that? The cape is one of the best items to ever grace the Mario series.
The whole walk through, through Dinosaur Land is awesome, you go through many areas like the Cave and a Forest. I also like the secret level where you can easily go get Yoshi and a couple of mushrooms/flowers or capes...whichever floats your boat. Another great secret is the one stage where you can get 45-50 lives, this should last you the rest of the game. Butter bridge is one of the harder levels, you'll need those lives and where the "cheat" level is located, you should be using them real soon.
In all, this is an amazing game, there isn't much more I have to say, just buy it and you'll understand. An excellent classic and Mario is the best hero ever (well, second to Link). Enjoy.

Each mascot has a ride that handles and accelerates differently, yet the controls for each racer feel very tight and precise. The highly detailed, cartoony locales of Mario Kart Super Circuit show visuals that are both very sharp and fluidly animated. Though not nearly as fast, Mario Kart Super Circuit looks better and can be more intense than the vaunted F-Zero launch title.
If you perform well enough and collect enough coins in a tournament, you can unlock a plethora of bonus tracks--some of which are from older console Mario Kart titles. The fun multiplayer options include head-to-head racing and a balloon battle mode, in which you blast other racers with power-ups in a huge arena until there's only one driver left. --Mark Brooks
Pros:
- Bright graphics that are both fast and fluid
- Multiplayer battle mode is loads of fun
- Many, many tracks!
- May be too cute for some

Hands down, the best current game for the Game Boy AdvanceI'd also like to mention that this game blows away Konami's Krazy Racers. I own both games, and wish that I had saved my money and bought only Mario Kart. Mario Kart has so much more depth that it puts Krazy Racers to shame. Mario Kart is the best game I have played for the GB Advance so far (Castlevania COTM is a close second).
If you're looking for a great, challenging go-cart racing game, don't waste your time with the Konami clone: wait for a month and buy Mario Kart Super Circuit- you'll be glad you did!
Super Circuit: Best for GBA!!!You also get new tracks like Cheep Cheep Island, Ribbon Road, Yoshi Desert, and Bowser's Castle 1-3. You can link up with other players and race together in a sudden death match! You get the rainbow boxes with all the weapons. Like lightning, shells, and banana peels. Don't forget the ULTRA POWERFUL STARS!!!! You go at top speed and when you hit a racer they crash or slide on the track leaving them like dust.
You have to get in 1, 2, 3, or 4 place to go to the next track. Get high points so at the end you become one of the top three!! If you do you get the bronze trophy if in third, silver if in second, and the BEST, GOLD if in first!!!! Think you got what it takes to be a chart toping racer? Then racers, start your ENGINES!!!!!!!

PS2 Socom, challenging & entertaining, the way it should be
Great graphics, greater gameplaySOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs takes full advantage of online gameplay, featuring a 16 multiplayer mode, 3 game types in 12 online multiplayer maps that were created specifically for online play, persistent servers, and great clan support. The game is only available to broadband users for online play because of the rich gameplay, which should significantly cut the lag time so many other games have a problem with. Even better, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs is free to play online.
SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs is perhaps one of the most lifelike FPS to develop, with Sony using actual SEALs for consulting purposes. The missions, movements, tactics and SEALs themselves are true to life and unparalleled. The weapons, which you can carry two of at a time, are realistically accurate and react to real-life factors like fatigue, movement and weapon recoil.
But for the majority, the most anticipated feature of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs is the headset that is bundled with the game ... It boasts voice recognition capabilities that will come in quite handy during the game, as it's hard to shoot down terrorists while typing on a keyboard. Shout to your teammates for help and they'll (hopefully) come to your aide, all with minimal lag time. During single-player mode, enemies will also react to your vocal commands.
Overall, this is an excellent FPS. From the previews and gameplay at E3, I have not one single complaint about the game. It's fun, exciting, and has great replay value. Dial-up users will be disappointed that the game is only available to broadband users for online play, but that feature will only help the game, making it much more enjoyable to play over the internet without huge delays.

So you are not short of wrestlers to choose from. There is also a highly detailed ring and arena to the area, all of the stadiums are so highly detailed that you might get confused between that and the real thing!
There is also loads of new and old match types to choose from.
There are Elimination Chamber, Table, TLC, Bra and Pantie, Hardcore, Ladder, Elimination Tag, Royal Rumble, First Blood, Lumber Jack, Special Referee, Slobber Knocker, Cage, Hell in a cell, Survivor, Six man Tag,Tornado Tag, Tag and a lot more I just cannot remember the rest lol. Keep in mind that you can have a triple threat ladder match and a tornado tag table match so this game will provide you with loads of things to do!
There is also a amazing season mode which is MUCH better than Wrestlemania XIX's Revenge mode because there are highly detailed story lines, 200 of them in fact and they are all written by the WWE writers, BEAT THAT WRESTLEMANIA XIX. Another part of the game i am sure you will enjoy is the Create a Wrestler feature, they have extended it greatly since SHUT YOUR MOUTH! and now you can make a wrestler almost exactly how you want it to look!
The graphics will blow you away they are so much better than WRESTLMANIA XIX'S and the same as WWWE RAW 2'S this is a good thing because i found SHUT YOUR MOUTH! slightly blocky and hard ot figure out whose who.
Another thing that is AMAZING is the entrances they will blow you away, but the only problem is, is that when you are creating a wrestler you cannot create a too good entrance.
The sound is pretty good but THQ promised us voice overs and we did not get that :( there is also no commentry! I know commentry does get annoying but it would be nice to have JR and King behind the commentry desk! But the music is O.k.
Gameplay is pretty good its simular to SHUT YOUR MOUTH! but it is easy to pick up.
I have noticed that some people have been complaining that the game is too hard, WHY DON'T YOU JUST PUT THE GAME MODE ONTO EASY!
but there we go! its good to have a challenge anyway.
All in all Smackdown is AMAZING it is not the best game around but it is by FAR the best wrestling game around. BY THIS GAME NOW!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!
Oh yer u r probably wunderin y i am against wrestlemania XIX well its kinda coz i used 2 av it and i reeli h8ed it lol.
great game!!!!!!!!

The most notable feature is the selectable female trainer who has her own set of animations and backgrounds. This is a great option for female Pokémon fans who were previously stuck playing the game as a male character. There are also subtle improvements to the cell phone system, HM moves, and prebattle animations. Rival trainers' phone calls are now more plentiful and pragmatic. HM moves, which are required throughout the game, are available at the push of a button--you'll no longer have to navigate menus to use these moves. Lastly, seeing a Pokémon's new animation makes encountering new creatures more fun than before.
If you haven't played Gold or Silver yet, Crystal is definitely the way to go. If you've played those previous games, Crystal has only enough new features to justify a purchase from Pokémon fanatics. This game is compatible with the link cable, Game Boy printer, and Pokémon Pikachu 2. It's playable on Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance only, and can be played on a television using Pokémon Stadium 2 and a Transfer Pak. --Raymond M. Padilla
Pros:
- New female trainer
- Prebattle animations are cute
- Lots of subtle improvements
- Too similar to Gold and Silver
- Mobile phone features not in the U.S. version

The Real Deal For Pokemon Crystal
Pokemon Crystal: Best video game I ever playedI'm sorry 2 have 2 break the bad news but u cant catch Celibi. Otherwise, this is the best video game I have ever played!
Excellante!!!! A Masterpiece For Every RPG Gamer!!1. Pokemon animate now, like Pikachu blinks and waves his arm. 2. There is a Battle Tower now west of Olivine City which has tons of trainers ready to battle you. If you win, you may even get Protein, Carbos, etc. 3. Suicine is a major player in the game. (I think the box says so...) A Suicine fanatic, Eusine, wants to capture it, and you are his rival. 4. You can capture Ho-oh in this game, one one condition: You must beat the elite four and capture all the ledgendary dogs. 5. You can choose to be a girl. If you are, you graphic will look different, and your pokegear looks different too. 6. Trainers give different responses when they call you via cell phone. 7. Unown puzzles in the Ruins of Alph are more interesting. 8. A new radio show, hosted by Buena, gives you a password every night. Tell the password to Buena in the Radio Tower in Goldenrod to redeem points to get free prizes. 9. Pokemon are found in new places and learn new moves. 10. The Ice path looks much cooler than in G/S. The walls look like ice.
But........ YOU CANNOT GET CELEBI and there are no Cell phone capabilities for the US version. (It is only in the Japanese one.)Please keep this message in mind because dumb people love to spread rumors and "catching Celebi in Crystal" is one of them, just a bunch of foey!
But my point is, buy Pokemon Crystal. It rocks and every Pokemaniac should get it!!!...

First, the game has a lot in common with Pokémon games Silver, Gold, and Crystal. For example, players can choose to be a boy or a girl trainer, an internal clock sets events at certain times, and youre the game's handy-dandy Pokédex helps players keep track of the many stats. You're main goal is still to beat all the Gym Trainers and become the Pokémon Master. If you've played the old games, you will be right at home. But not all is the same.
The most obvious change is in the battles themselves. Now that two Pokémon can fight on your side at the same time, you can tag-team them against an enemy by taking advantage of the strengths of your Pokémons while covering their weaknesses. For example, you can now have a water Pokémon watch your fire Pokémon's back. You can also attack more than one Pokémon at a time.
A whole new element to the game focuses on how berries are used in battle. And if you collect enough berries, you can take them to a Berry Blender and make a PokéBlock, which is a little super-charged candy that raises your Pokémon's "Condition" attributes. You can then groom your Pokémon for regional contests and compete for ribbons like "Best of Show," which will unlock additional contests. There's even strategy in how to best use your berries: pick too many and the berry tree will disappear; plant berries, though, and a tree will grow. You can also build a Secret Base in special areas of the game, which you can decorate just like you can your room.
And let us not forget that Pokémon Ruby has a kickin' multiplayer system, too. You can trade Pokémon, and link up to four players for incredible battles. The only downside is that you can't link up with the old Game Boy Color games. --Bryan Karsh
Pros:
- You can control two Pokémon in battle
- Much needed graphic and sound facelift
- Nice multiplayer feature (requires link cable and extra game cartridge)
- Can't trade Pokémon with Game Boy Color

Pokemon 3 - The TruthGraphics: 5/5
The overworld graphics outside battle are very well done for this type of game, and the graphics in battle are greatly improved over the first games.
Play Control: 4.5/5
Very simplistic control, like in most RPGs. It's very easy to learn these controls. Being able to set an item to the select button is a huge convenience.
Challenge: 3.5/5
It's not very tough to beat all the games trainers, if you train your monsters well. However, hunting down all 251 (approx.) of the Pokemon is the real challenge, as you'll need someone with another version of the game to get them all. This game is compatible with Ruby and Sapphire only, which is inexcusable. That alone costs the game one star.
Theme/Fun: 3.75/5
Train monsters. Battle them. Trade 'em with friends, and battle your friends. Who would have thought this would be such a successful gaming formula? Frequent battles are sometimes tedious, but if you're an RPG regular you'll more than be prepared for the number of battles you'll face. If you're NOT an RPG regular, the Pokemon series is a good place to start. These games are easy to learn and very fun, too. Unfortunately, the game fails to correct many problems the old games had, so I can't give this category a perfect score.
Music/Sound: 3.5/5
Very basic music and sound, but a few of the tunes will stick in your mind after you're done playing.
Storyline: 3.5/5
You leave home on a quest to capture and train monsters, so that you may become the best monster trainer in the world. It's a simple story, but it works.
Originality: 3.75/5
This is the game's strength. Never before the first Pokemon games had the world seen a game of this type. There would be a number of imitators, but not one would ever match the extremely high quality of this game.
Overall: 4.25/5
This game's not perfect, but it's still nothing short of excellent. Note that Ruby and Sapphire are the same game, just with different monsters. Whether at home or on the road, Pokemon RPGs are the ultimate time killer for gamers of all ages.
one of the best pokemon games to date.Recommended for anyone who can read! Seriously it is that good.

Pokemon Sapphire1. It did not have the time/day feature
2. The fact that you couldn't trade with older versions was slightly annoying
3. It takes slightly less time to complete compared to Gold/Silver because of having only one world
4. The rival in this game is less challenging
5. The Elite Four/Champ is extremely easy to defeat;I have beaten them 70 times using only a Blaziken and a Kyogre. Any 1 or 2 pokemon that knows Ice Beam and/or Hydro Pump would work if you can't get Kyogre.
Things that I liked:
1.The legendary pokemon (Kyogre/Groudon and Rayquaza) are extremely strong
2.The trainer cards (even though mine wouldn't change color after winning all 5 categories in the master rank beauty contests)
3.Trainer Eyes that displayed information on the trainers you have fought
4.The new box system for storing pokemon
Note: I am 14 years old, and have been addicted to pokemon since I was 7.

Twisted Metal: Black is one of the best-looking games on the market. The character design, animations, particle effects, and lighting effects are all topnotch, yet the game still runs at a speedy frame rate--even in multiplayer modes. The game isn't all about looks though, as gameplay is very deep and contains several modes. You'll want to play single-player story mode several times just to see how the game ends for its numerous compelling characters. Each character has a story line that's simple yet captivating. More importantly, each of the characters' vehicles has meaningful differences, so players are bound to find a rig that fits their playing styles.
With its slick gameplay, interesting characters, wide variety of modes, and breathtaking graphics, Twisted Metal: Black is the best vehicular combat game yet, and, so far, the best PlayStation2 game of the year. --Raymond M. Padilla
Pros:
- Incredible graphics
- Deep gameplay
- Strong replay value
- Controls can be tricky at first
- Boss fights can be frustrating

Dark as night...
SCREW THE M RATING GET THIS GAME IF U HAVE PS2
This game rocksThe framerate is smooth as silk; I have yet to experience any sort of slowdown. Anyone here ever played WipeOut 3 for PlayStation? If so, then you know how smooth IT is. Well, after playing TMB for a while, I decided to do a little WipeOut 3 (a game I never get tired of) and, by comparison, it seemed so choppy I thought my TV was being shaken like a can of paint in a hardware store. It's that smooth. Much has been made of the dark atmosphere of this game, and rightly so. Bright colors are rare, stories are warped, and the developers spared us another Rob Zombie soundtrack and created a supremely fitting original score. The music in this game sounds like something you'd hear in a modern Hollywood action movie (a GOOD one). TMB is one of the few games outisde of the role-playing and survival horror genres where the mood really grabs you. The only other games I can think of that can compete with it in terms of dark atmosphere are Deception III and the two Legacy of Kain games (Blood Omen and Soul Reaver). My gripes with the game are minimal; Mr. Slam doesn't return, Minion is a real pain, and the detonators are gone (remember blowing up the Eifel Tower in TM2?). Aside from that, I see dearth of reason to give TMB anything less than a five-star rating. This is truly a must-own game, in every sense of that overused term.

Make no mistake: the PS One has all of the same functionality as the original PlayStation workhorse, will work with all of the same peripherals and accessories, and will play the existing PlayStation game library, as well as audio CDs (also note that, like the original PlayStation, it's not compatible with the more advanced PlayStation 2). The difference here is that this new model is quite a bit smaller than its older brother, and quite a bit cuter, too.
The system is made up of a 32-bit, 34-MHz RISC processor with 16 Mbits of main memory, 8 Mbits of graphics memory, 24-channel stereo sound, double-speed CD-ROM drive, and one Dual Shock analog controller. That's not a lot of power, compared to a next-generation system like the Sega Dreamcast; but, when you factor in its very low price and the enormous library of games that are available (more than 1,000 that are spread across every genre imaginable), one can see easily why it's as good a deal as ever. If rumors of exciting future accessories for the PS One (a four-inch LCD screen attachment, to name one) are true, this little machine could become a great option for the on-the-go gamer. --Porter Hall

Plunge into a world of adventure, exploration, and discovery. Embark on a magical, often harrowing journey that challenges gamers to test their wits and skills, allowing them to discover twisted plots and battle the evil within. Delivering nothing but the best ingredients for a game that's set to be one of the biggest titles of the year, Jak and Daxter features great character designs and animations, innovative gameplay mechanics, superior technology, and absolutely stunning graphics. Jak and Daxter pushes the power of the PlayStation2, offering an engaging, immersive entertainment experience that stretches the imagination.

Funny and EntertainingThe two must travel to find a sage who may be able to change Daxter back to normal. During their journey, the pair must collect tons of Precursor Orbs that are primarily used to be traded to other people for Power Cells, which are essential to their travels. Punching, spinning and jumping are the skills that will help you defeat your enemies. "Eco" is also a main part of the game. Some Eco will increase your movement and fighting abilities, strength or health. The downside is that the Eco effects are temporary, so you must be quick and decisive depending on how much you absorb.
The overall graphics are very nice and you will appreciate them in different environments such as, snow, lava, jungles, beaches and more.
The game play itself is relatively easy and you won't ever have to worry about "Game Over" from dying. You're also able to save at any point you choose. The enemies are not that hard, but the bosses are where the real fun and challenges are. The comedy and the dialogue are very well done by all the characters. To sum it up, I would recommend this only to gamers who are in the mood for a relaxing and fun game; nothing too aggravating or complex. What's refreshing about this title is it's overall simplicity. It won't take you too long to beat either if you go at it. Look elsewhere if you want deep and twisting plots and difficult game play. To the rest of you, give this one a try and have fun.
Easily one of the best games ever made
For those of you who have not played the Super Nintendo version, in SMW Mario, Luigi, and the Princess decide to take a vaction from the troubles of the Mushroom Kingdom in Dinosaur Land. When they get there they learn from a friendly dinosaur, Yoshi, that Bowser has trapped his friends and taken over the island. On top of this the Princess has disappeared. So Mario and Luigi set off to find the Princess, save the Yoshi's, and stop Bowser.
Mario has many power-ups at his disposal including the usual mushrooms, fire flowers, and a new feather which gives Mario the ability to fly with a cape. This game was also the debut of Yoshi, Mario's dinosaur buddy, and this adds a new dimension to the gameplay. Since Yoshi can swallow enemies with his tongue some areas become much easier with his aid. Not included in the original but added for the GBA is the ability to play as Luigi. Luigi can jump higher and fly farther than his brother and is more suited for some levels. Its up to you to choose which plumber is best for you.
The gameplay is divided between the seven different areas of Dinosaur Land. Within each area are many individual side-scrolling levels to complete. You advance through the game by completing one level to get to another. There are also shortcuts to be found by discovering the hidden goals of many levels. The world map screen is where you choose the level you want to attempt, and all levels except for castles can be replayed infinitly. The castles are where you fight each areas guardian before moving on to the next area. The original Mario Bros. arcade game is also included. You can play solo or against a friend in battle mode. It's not much, but it does add a little extra something in terms of replay value.
Super Mario World is a classic that has stood the test of time. It's simple enough for anyone to enjoy but deep enough with it's replay value for seasoned vet's to appreciate. It's pure fun and thats what video games should be. A must own for the GameBoy Advance.
