The Best Turn-Based Strategy Yet
One of the very best games ever for GBAOf all the games I own, this and WarioWare are the only two that still get near daily or weekly play well over a year after their release. Advance Wars contains an insane amount of replay value. After beating the single player campaign you can unlock the Hard campaign. In some cases the Hard campaign is just the same maps from the regular game with more enemy units, in other cases it's a completely new map.
If that's not enough, as you play you gain coins you can use to buy battle maps. You can play a battle map against a specific foe, tuned to that map, or load up a Vs. map and play against anyone you'd like on any map. Over 150 maps you can unlock. And you can even create your own maps!
This game has great multiplayer too. You can play with just one cartridge and two gameboys with a link cable, although you're limited to small maps. If everyone has Advance Wars you can play any map with the cable that you've unlocked. However that wasn't enough for these guys, and they made a single gameboy multiplayer mode too! So you and a buddy can play (easiest to set it to fog of war, but you have control over all aspects of the game rules) and just pass the gameboy back and forth.
The simple fact is that this is one of the best games ever made for the gameboy. There's so many maps to play, the two main campaigns, and each game is different based on which CO you have commanding your forces. The fact I'm still playing this long after its release, is a testament to it's value.
A must have for any GBA owner!
Excellent Game

Actually physically terrifying!!!That is all.
WOW.
No, seriously, folks, nothing at all could have prepared me for the beauty and artistry and downright good old-fashioned terror that I experienced while playing 'Fatal Frame 2'. It's a magnificent, magnificent game and really deserving of prize place on your games top shelf.
You play the part of Mio, a para-psychic girl who, along with her deeply psychic sister Mayu, get lost and trapped in All God's Village, a deserted town in the middle of a forest, some days before the sinister 'Crimson Butterfly Ritual' is to take place. Mayu, intermittently under the control of the spirits that haunt All God's, disappears, and Mio must find her and stop the mysterious 'Sacrifice' before it's too late.
Firstly, what's new?
Well, as with any competent sequel, there is an overall feel of things being 'tighter' - presentation, graphics, and in-game explanations of things are all much more accessible and beautiful now than they were before - and the game feels a lot more professionally done than the still-excellent original.
Sound is a huge improvement - not even in the Silent Hill series has sound been employed to make such a huge difference in the tension and atmosphere - and the manual is most definitely to be believed when it tells you 'This game is best played through headphones'. Try it in a dark room. Trust me :-)
The controls are excellent, the Camera Obscura (your weapon) is now far less complicated to use and a lot more satisfying to have as your primary weapon. The inclusion of the 'Spirit Radio' may seem a little overdone, but it's a nice touch nevertheless.
What really marks 'Fatal Frame 2' out as a Standard-Bearing game is the sense of real, palpable terror it inspires. The ghosts are horrific in their simplicity and all feels very much like classic Japanese horrors like 'Ringu' and 'Dark Water'. The innocence of the girls and some of the spirits' human personalities is drawn in stark contrast to the violent and shocking methods by which they attack. The game is also full of wonderful aural and visual vignettes, adding more atmosphere than I can say.
An excellent title, current King of Survival Horror (and I've got through 'The Suffering' and 'Siren' in the last two months) and a definite must-have, I can't rave about this game enough.
Get it now.
Wow!
A good example of a well done horror game.Pros:
Easy to get into and start playing.
Graphics are as good as SH3.
Sound & Environment effects are great.
It has some cool features to unlock, including a mission mode.
No annoying repetitive radio, though there is effects when ghosts are around.
Ghosts are awesome looking.
Monsters are not around every corner.
The game is much more believable than SH.
Cons:
Some people may not like to explore the large levels.
Environments are not as dark and scary or gory as SH3.
Fatal Frame 2 & Silent Hill 2
are the best horror games available on the PS2.
This game is scarrrrryyyyyyy

lackingAs the name "Konamix" suggests, this game is only Konami original mixes. That means no Butterfly (..even though Butterfly isn't in 4th mix anyway), Dam Dariram, Bumble Bee or those popular songs. Because of the fact that Konami has some licensing problems or something they cannot get the songs that aren't by the "Konami artists" like Naoki. This is basically the main reason why I had to grade it down. Even though Konami had no choice in this matter its still very dissapointing to see no popular songs. Not to say there aren't good songs, .59 is a cool song and theres also B4U, plus like 500 Paranoia mixes (that I'm not too crazy about though).
If you can afford it, buy yourself a bootdisk/mod chip for ps1 and get the import version of DDR. You probably will be better off that way. Its what I did anyway..
Tight Game, but its missing somethingI know most DDR fans don't really care something like that, but some songs on here are impossible to do with only one speed.
This game is still a good buy, but I recommend DDRMAX or DDRMAX2 over this one.
Run don't walk!DDR Konamix is the 3rd game that Konami has put out for DDR in the US and it is by far the best. It has over 50 songs, some of which are brand new for the US only. Most of the songs are japanese pop music, but they're very catchy and there's a lot of variety between fast and slow dance music.
The most important thing you must remember is to get the dance pad accessory with this game. You can play with the regular controller, but playing with the dance pad is the only way to really enjoy this game. Be sure to stick with dance pads from Konami or RedOctane as those are the only decent brands available.

I Really Wanted to Like This Game, But I Still Prefer Madden
Wow. Sega Sports scores big!!This game is loaded and was very well thought out from the ground up. The running game is fantastic, and I love how you can charge your player up for a super move. It takes some pretty good timeing to get used to, however its fun and sometimes effective. Should we even mention the passing? It's awesome. I love having the ability to check out the defensive formation, see who is going to have one on one coverage and try and exploit the weakness its awesome. Oh, yeah and its also nice knowing that the computer on offense or defense is not going to auto adjust its-self to counter act what ever play you pick. And lastly there is the defense end of things. Gang tackling is a must and is very incouraged. However the ability to read what the offense is doing or what you think they are doing, just adds so much realism.
Next, I would like to mention the presentation. The graphics are almost perfect. The cheerleaders actually shake there money makers. And your fans go crazy, with face paint, signs, the whole 9 yards. Not to mention the half time summary is truly amazing. And then there are the instant replays WOW!!
Oh, my and then there is audio. The crowd ambience, music playing on the pa, the players constantly punking each other out. Some times calling the QB or HB by there first names.
This game is by far the best football game I have ever played. We have weekly touranments in the dorm, and it doesnt matter if you are playing or not, people still come and watch. This game is exciting, the graphics are outstanding, and the sound is out of this world.
Good game Sega sports. GG.

Pretty Cool....but....
At last a 2D fighter for PS2Gameplay-wise, the game is a big improvement over the original Capcom vs SNK. The new ratio system lets you assign ratios to the different fighter instead of having fixed values for each character. This lets you make teams with any characters you want. Also there are now 6 different grooves instead of just 2. I won't get into the details of the different grooves but having 6 unique ways of playing a character adds greatly to the replay value.
The number of characters in this game is also amazing, there are 44 characters (22 from each side) and 4 hidden ones (or so I've heard; Evil Ryu, Blood Riot Iori, Shin Akuma and God Rugal). Since I'm not really a King of Fighters fan this game gives me 20-something new fighters to play with. People who are familiar with both of these companies fighting games might not find as much novelty in the game as I will but there are still some interesting new characters. From Capcom you get Eagle, Kyosuke, Maki, Yun and Dan. From SNK Haohmaru, Hibiki, Athena, Joe, Chang and Choi, Todo and Rock Howard.
I would definitely recommend this game to any fighting game fan. Even if you have already played the original Capcom Vs SNK to death, I think you will find some new stuff in this game to keep you hooked for another couple of months. This game will definitely keep me busy until Tekken 4 and Virtua Fighter 4 hit the PS2.
Capcom vs. SNK 2, 2D fighting at it's best

Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick = GreatnessNote: If you know the movies, you'll appreciate this game even more.
Bruce Campbell stomping chomping fun(1)The Evil Dead.
(2)Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn
(3)Army of Darkness (Evil Dead 3)
... once you have done that you are now in a better position to enjoy this game release which tries to be Evil Dead 4, but isn't really. The story is interesting (Ash must save a town from the deadites which have taken over) but the gameplay is only so-so entertainment (good 3D environment though) and there is nothing new here we have not seen before elsewhere, but like I said you must be a fan to give this one 5 stars or else it is just 3 star material. Basically you must run around town (kinda plays like State of Emergency with the bad guys running after ya), close otherworld portals, find items, hack up zombies with a chainsaw, blow them away with a shotgun (cool over-the-sholder moves and everything), defeat the end bosses and save the gal.
For all intensive purposes if you like the Evil Dead movies or want to BE Bruce Campbell for a few hours a day then this is EXACTLY what you have been looking for. Don't even continue this review and just get the darn thing. For all those lowlifes out there who do not know what ED is then GO FIND OUT and come back here later when you get what all the fuss is over.
I also recommended checking out his book "If Chins Could Kill".

~Anyway a couple of my friends are tone deaf (sorta) they sing reallly bad and nasal and throaty and dead..but to them they sound good. When they hear themselves played back they think they don't sound anything like the voice on the recorder! KARAOKE REVOLUTION PROVED they really do suck so that they'd let the game and everyone else help them. NOW my friends sing A LOT better lol. Even I sing better now. It's really fun to try to get a high score in this game. You end up singing until you either go deaf or mute lol. Like ddr where you can't stop playing until you collapse of thirst and tiredness. Seriously these games are sooooo addicting and fun to play with your friends at sleepovers. HOWEVER it is good to have it set up in a place where it won't bother people who don't want to hear it so the kids don't have to turn it down low (minimizing the fun level lol! Well sorry this is so long....LATER
Great funMake sure that you like the selection of songs that comes with the game. I thought ~30 songs would be too small but because of the game element where you are trying to perfect a song, I was not bothered by it too much. Plus, I hope that the Expansion disc if they ever put one out will have 50+ songs.
Anyway, the first day I bought the game, my wife and I compete with me singing Celebration and her singing Don't Know Why by Norah Jones and she ended up kicking my butt. It was probably the most fun both of us had together with the PS2. Can't wait to have people over and have a contest.
Word of caution: the Logitech headset that comes with the game is either too small or not as good as the Sony one. It fit my wife (whose head is pretty small) well, but since I have a bigger head, it was kind of hard to get it to fit right. I ended up having to hold the mic portion of the headset close to my mouth in order for the sound to register properly.
Buy the one without the headset! The included headset is child sized, and in order to get it to work, one needs to hold the mic to ones mouth and it still cuts out. Do yourself a favor and buy the this game without the included mic! And also pick up Karaoke Revolution 2 at the same time while you are at it so you'll have 70 songs to choose from!

The missions given to you tend to involve shooting up or beating up (there is a big distinction between gun fighting and kung fu) a room full of bad guys, or simply have you racing against the clock in your car. In between, you can roam around and solve simple street crimes (mugging, car jackings, etc), or earn upgrades for your driving, shooting, and fighting abilities. The upgrade mechanism is important because while it's an entertaining way to add new gameplay elements several hours in, the early game leaves you with so few moves that the game is hard, or worse, boring. The game also features a Good-Cop/Bad-Cop karma system that rewards or punishes you for doing the right or wrong thing. Arrest criminals in non-lethal manner to get better endings, or terrorize the populace and have both citizens and police turn on you.
While it can be an entertaining take on the Grand Theft Auto genre, True Crime tends to suffer from hit and miss execution. For every compelling game element, there's another equally awful one. There are several mission types that are completely devoid of any fun, melee fighting favors button mashing even after the nearly-useless string of upgrades, and the controls and camera seem to work against you more often than for you. Ultimately, hardcore Grand Theft Auto fans and the infinitely patient may be in for a treat, but everyone else is advised to think twice about this game.--Jon "Safety Monkey" Grover
Pros:
- Variety of mission types keeps game from getting overly repetitive
- Karma system and plenty of alternate cinematics add to replay value
- Excellent voice work and above average graphics
- Controls feel sloppy and the camera will make you want to punch out your TV
- Certain mission-types are just plain boring
- Melee fighting favors button mashing over thought-out, timed attacks
