The Best Turn-Based Strategy Yet
This game is a must have for any person who enjoyed the first Advance Wars or who likes strategy games. The gameplay is the same as the old Advance Wars, you take your turn, the enemy takes theirs (no quick reflexes needed), but gets much more difficult. Unlike almost all other GBA games, this is a game which requires a ton of thinking and is probably going to be much too difficult for a little kid. With only one gamepak and GBA you can play with friends by passing around the system and each taking your turn (or you can link up). The only few areas where it is not as good as the previous Advance Wars are the graphics of the buildings and structures, the storyline, and some of the characters look much worse. However, some advantages over the old version are the larger amount of maps avaliable, the new terrain features (volcanoes, cannons, missles, etc), more Commanding Officers to play as, much better AI, and the new neotank. This game is one that has almost infinte replay value (if you have played the first Advance Wars a ton the game will lose some of its replay value), can be very frustrating, and is not for 6 year olds, despite its very kiddie graphics. I probably missed about 50 other good points but I hope this review was helpful to you.

One of the very best games ever for GBA
Advance Wars 1 was a massive sleeper hit. You wouldn't think that the Gameboy Advance would be condusive to making a strategy game, but Advance Wars 1 & 2 proves that wrong.

Of all the games I own, this and WarioWare are the only two that still get near daily or weekly play well over a year after their release. Advance Wars contains an insane amount of replay value. After beating the single player campaign you can unlock the Hard campaign. In some cases the Hard campaign is just the same maps from the regular game with more enemy units, in other cases it's a completely new map.

If that's not enough, as you play you gain coins you can use to buy battle maps. You can play a battle map against a specific foe, tuned to that map, or load up a Vs. map and play against anyone you'd like on any map. Over 150 maps you can unlock. And you can even create your own maps!

This game has great multiplayer too. You can play with just one cartridge and two gameboys with a link cable, although you're limited to small maps. If everyone has Advance Wars you can play any map with the cable that you've unlocked. However that wasn't enough for these guys, and they made a single gameboy multiplayer mode too! So you and a buddy can play (easiest to set it to fog of war, but you have control over all aspects of the game rules) and just pass the gameboy back and forth.

The simple fact is that this is one of the best games ever made for the gameboy. There's so many maps to play, the two main campaigns, and each game is different based on which CO you have commanding your forces. The fact I'm still playing this long after its release, is a testament to it's value.

A must have for any GBA owner!

Excellent Game
Ive owned this game for over a year now, and i still havent finished it. There is so much to do in this game. You start the game with a campaign mode that alone takes a while to beat, then, after youve cleared it, there is a hard campaign. Aside from that, there is all the maps in the war room, and the option to create your own maps. The gameplay is really addictive, you wont be able to put it down. The game is also suprisingly a real challenge. Buy this game now, you wont regret it.

Actually physically terrifying!!!
WOW.

That is all.

WOW.

No, seriously, folks, nothing at all could have prepared me for the beauty and artistry and downright good old-fashioned terror that I experienced while playing 'Fatal Frame 2'. It's a magnificent, magnificent game and really deserving of prize place on your games top shelf.

You play the part of Mio, a para-psychic girl who, along with her deeply psychic sister Mayu, get lost and trapped in All God's Village, a deserted town in the middle of a forest, some days before the sinister 'Crimson Butterfly Ritual' is to take place. Mayu, intermittently under the control of the spirits that haunt All God's, disappears, and Mio must find her and stop the mysterious 'Sacrifice' before it's too late.

Firstly, what's new?

Well, as with any competent sequel, there is an overall feel of things being 'tighter' - presentation, graphics, and in-game explanations of things are all much more accessible and beautiful now than they were before - and the game feels a lot more professionally done than the still-excellent original.

Sound is a huge improvement - not even in the Silent Hill series has sound been employed to make such a huge difference in the tension and atmosphere - and the manual is most definitely to be believed when it tells you 'This game is best played through headphones'. Try it in a dark room. Trust me :-)

The controls are excellent, the Camera Obscura (your weapon) is now far less complicated to use and a lot more satisfying to have as your primary weapon. The inclusion of the 'Spirit Radio' may seem a little overdone, but it's a nice touch nevertheless.

What really marks 'Fatal Frame 2' out as a Standard-Bearing game is the sense of real, palpable terror it inspires. The ghosts are horrific in their simplicity and all feels very much like classic Japanese horrors like 'Ringu' and 'Dark Water'. The innocence of the girls and some of the spirits' human personalities is drawn in stark contrast to the violent and shocking methods by which they attack. The game is also full of wonderful aural and visual vignettes, adding more atmosphere than I can say.

An excellent title, current King of Survival Horror (and I've got through 'The Suffering' and 'Siren' in the last two months) and a definite must-have, I can't rave about this game enough.

Get it now.

Wow!

A good example of a well done horror game.
First I must say I was a big fan of Silent Hill 2 (SH2). So, I picked up Silent Hill 3 (SH3) for $29 and was very disappointed so I decided to return it, and after hearing how great Fatal Frame was and seeing the reviews on Fatal Frame 2 (FF2) I decided to splurge an extra $20 for FF2. I must admit I own 50 PS2 games and I usually stick to the games $29 and under, but this game was worth the $49. The game handling is a lot like the Silent Hill, yet the camera is almost like a first person shooter and is a wonderful twist. If one enjoyed SH2, FF2 is a must play.
Pros:
Easy to get into and start playing.
Graphics are as good as SH3.
Sound & Environment effects are great.
It has some cool features to unlock, including a mission mode.
No annoying repetitive radio, though there is effects when ghosts are around.
Ghosts are awesome looking.
Monsters are not around every corner.
The game is much more believable than SH.
Cons:
Some people may not like to explore the large levels.
Environments are not as dark and scary or gory as SH3.

Fatal Frame 2 & Silent Hill 2
are the best horror games available on the PS2.

This game is scarrrrryyyyyyy
Okay i borrowed this game from my boyfriend and he played and i watched and i was so scared...i can't play the game in the nite because i get so freaked out..lol...i know its just a game but the firstt ime i played it i had nitemares...my bro and my bf already passed it, now im trying to pass it on my own...i dnt know how long it will take because i play like 15 min everyday before it gets dark....i have school all day..its a really cool game and i wanna get fatal frame now.

    lacking
...Anyway, DDR konamix has some rather interesting features like the edit mode which, from what I've read, lets you create your own steps to songs. (Actually this mode alone makes me consider purchasing this game in the future) Other than that its basically the same as DDR 4th mix, it has the same odd "each character has their own different group of songs" format, although in fourth mix after completing some certain thing you can have a mode to be able to access all the songs at once. I dont know about Konamix though...
As the name "Konamix" suggests, this game is only Konami original mixes. That means no Butterfly (..even though Butterfly isn't in 4th mix anyway), Dam Dariram, Bumble Bee or those popular songs. Because of the fact that Konami has some licensing problems or something they cannot get the songs that aren't by the "Konami artists" like Naoki. This is basically the main reason why I had to grade it down. Even though Konami had no choice in this matter its still very dissapointing to see no popular songs. Not to say there aren't good songs, .59 is a cool song and theres also B4U, plus like 500 Paranoia mixes (that I'm not too crazy about though).
If you can afford it, buy yourself a bootdisk/mod chip for ps1 and get the import version of DDR. You probably will be better off that way. Its what I did anyway..

Tight Game, but its missing something
I hate video games, but DDR is to good to be considered a video game. This game has helped me build stamina and quick thinking skills. DDR Konamix has an awesome song list with the original Paranoia and this is the only US release which features the very complicated Orion.78[AM-EuroMix] So why would I give it four stars? Because you can't use speed modifiers.[x1.5,x2,x3,x5,x8]
I know most DDR fans don't really care something like that, but some songs on here are impossible to do with only one speed.

This game is still a good buy, but I recommend DDRMAX or DDRMAX2 over this one.

    Run don't walk!
This is one of the best all around games you can find on any console. Dance Dance Revolution is an arcade dancing simulation game that is lots of fun for the entire family, has great replay value (you can play for hours on end), and is a great workout to boot!

DDR Konamix is the 3rd game that Konami has put out for DDR in the US and it is by far the best. It has over 50 songs, some of which are brand new for the US only. Most of the songs are japanese pop music, but they're very catchy and there's a lot of variety between fast and slow dance music.

The most important thing you must remember is to get the dance pad accessory with this game. You can play with the regular controller, but playing with the dance pad is the only way to really enjoy this game. Be sure to stick with dance pads from Konami or RedOctane as those are the only decent brands available.

NCAA Football is a must-have for all college football fans!
There are a lot of football games out this year like ESPN NFL 2K5, Madden NFL 2005, and of course NCAA Football 2005. I have played all of these games, and in my opinion you need to think of what you want in a football game before buying any of them. If you are a die-hard NFL fan looking for a realistic, but still strategic football game in which starting a team franchise isn't much of a plus for you, save your money and buy the $20.00 ESPN NFL 2K5. If you want a beautifully enhanced A.I. to rough it out with Madden NFL 2005 is your best bet due to the much more intelligent A.I. (mainly line backs and defense backs). Madden is also made better due to the ingenious Franchise mode. Madden has always dominated franchise so you should always expect the best from them in that department. Now on to NCAA Football 2005. This game has a few big changes that make it unique from any other football game. The first is homefield advantage. This makes it possible to pump up the crowd in a game and ice or lower your opponents composure. Each player has a meter in which their composure is shown. Players with lower composure have a much better chance of being shut down than a well-composed player. This makes homefield advantage very valuable. So in all honesty NCAA Football 2005 is agreat game that any college or professional should own.

A must buy for any college football FANATIC
Now this review applies to those crazy FANS who set out to turn Navy (SMU, Buffalo, etc.) into a winning programs. This review is for FANS that will shell out $50 just to have the roster updated for the 2004 season. I've been a fan of these games since 2001 and must say this is the greatest improvement overall. The improvements made from 2002-2003 where so insignificant compared to the changes from 2004-2005. First, the homefield advantage is horribly scary, unless you turn the vibration off (which I HIGHLY recommend if you are running a dynasty). While playing(I was Oregon State) a buddy(Oregon) at Autzen Stadium (#5 hardest place to play), after the opening play I was AMAZED. The screen was shaking, the controller was trying to jump out of my hands. After an hour of play, I was terrified at the effect homefield advantage actually had. If Rocky Top or the Swamp means anything to you, you will LOVE this game. This game is aimed toward the fan that gets up 6am for the fraternal Yuka Bash in order to be THE loudest, most obnoxious fan in the stadium. You know, the one that everyone turns too for the most vulgar statement about the free safety's mother. And now you can do THAT too by making your own sign that can be displayed throughout the game. This is a great feature because now you can express those tender moments you've had with your buddy's mom in a Create-A-Sign feature. All-in-all this is the final touch to make this game perfect for me. A humongous college football fan that now is represented in a game. I just can't wait until the feature; Create-A-Drunken-Frat/Sorority-Fan, Create-An-After-Game-Party, Create-A-Father's-Day-Weekend and the all too anticipated Create-Your-Own-Off-Campus-Party-For-Recruits

    NCAA football 2005 is Beasty
NCAA football 2005 is a very good game, much better than 2004 which was very good. THe first thing is that you have homefeild advantage. THat pumps up the crowd which then makes the player get nervous and mess up. Then next thing is the match-up stick which is a control to see if theplayer is good or bad and nervous or not nervous. this works for offense or defense and then you can change any player to any other player on the other team. Now when you score a TD you ca celebrate without a penalty by having your fans celebrate with signs. Then the Dynasty goes more in depth Sports Illustrated is better and players may not play because of late curfew or bad grades. Your players also need to be happy or they won't play. Now like Madden 2004 you can create your own playbook. Create-a-school, create-a-player, create-a-stadium has better things for you to use. So now you have to decide if this game is wwhat you want.

    caution
after reading all the great reviews below of this game, i decided to buy it. i am a big fan of college football 2k3. and that is why i caution viewers of this: unlike basketball, or college football by sega, this game does not have broadcast style camera. when i first bought this i was shocked and frustrated i could not get the camera angle i wanted. despite all the games innovation, they could have had a better camera angle, heck they do on the replays. i do not like rear view and side view is too far away. i contacted espn video to see if they added this feature in their nfl 2k5 game coming out. i have not heard from them, and i am doubtful they will. that is dissapointing. also what happened to the college football series?

I Really Wanted to Like This Game, But I Still Prefer Madden
I admit, I've been playing Madden for years. I'm so familiar with the Madden line that I can play the newest addition and tell you which positional AI was changed to provide a more realistic football game. Unfortunately, EA and Microsoft could never work out a deal regarding Xbox Live so the best way to play ANY football sim (human vs. human) isn't available on the Xbox's Madden unless you have company. Thus I decided to learn ESPN NFL Football. Like everyone will tell you, ESPN Football has one heck of a slick presentation. The halftime and weekly highlights almost feel like you're watching ESPN Sportscenter. Madden could learn a lot from ESPN's presentation. I usually ignore franchise mode when I play Madden but I thought ESPN had such a nice interface that I ended up playing the CPU a lot. Unfortunately, I never could get used to the game mechanics of ESPN football. One huge difference between Madden and ESPN is that players move much more realistically in Madden. Momentum is gone in ESPN and it almost feels like I'm controlling a player in an NFL Blitz game because it's so easy to cut and turn. But worst of all is the attrocious tackling in ESPN. You can play on the toughest difficulty level and an average halfback can look like Earl Campbell because he bounces off so many tackles. Speaking of difficulty levels, that was a real disappointment as well. Basically, when you increase the difficulty, all it does is make the CPU tougher, and you worse. So you can't tackle as well as your normally would but the CPU tackle goes way up! There are a lot of things in ESPN I wish Madden would try and I think if someone were ever able to combine both games, we would get the perfect football sim, but for now I'll stick with Madden. I would recommend ESPN for anyone that is new to football games as it's much easier to play than Madden and has an entertaining ESPN theme to it. There's a reason why NFL players stick with Madden though, it's still the best football sim out there.

    Wow. Sega Sports scores big!!
First, I must admit that I've been along time fan of the Madden series and have alot of respect for it. Madden 2004 is a great game, BUT is no where near ESPN Football.

This game is loaded and was very well thought out from the ground up. The running game is fantastic, and I love how you can charge your player up for a super move. It takes some pretty good timeing to get used to, however its fun and sometimes effective. Should we even mention the passing? It's awesome. I love having the ability to check out the defensive formation, see who is going to have one on one coverage and try and exploit the weakness its awesome. Oh, yeah and its also nice knowing that the computer on offense or defense is not going to auto adjust its-self to counter act what ever play you pick. And lastly there is the defense end of things. Gang tackling is a must and is very incouraged. However the ability to read what the offense is doing or what you think they are doing, just adds so much realism.

Next, I would like to mention the presentation. The graphics are almost perfect. The cheerleaders actually shake there money makers. And your fans go crazy, with face paint, signs, the whole 9 yards. Not to mention the half time summary is truly amazing. And then there are the instant replays WOW!!
Oh, my and then there is audio. The crowd ambience, music playing on the pa, the players constantly punking each other out. Some times calling the QB or HB by there first names.

This game is by far the best football game I have ever played. We have weekly touranments in the dorm, and it doesnt matter if you are playing or not, people still come and watch. This game is exciting, the graphics are outstanding, and the sound is out of this world.

    Good game Sega sports. GG.

      Average review score:

      Pretty Cool....but....
I do like the game quite a bit, but there's just a few things that could have made the game a lot better. You know Marvel Vs Capcom 2? You know how the fighting is super fast? You know how the supers on that game are easy? Those are the things. If cpm vs snk played like Marv vs Cpm 2 in terms of speed and gameflow, (meaning that you can do a super right in the middle of a combo without hinder) this game would be the best fighting game ive ever played. I hope you all know what Im getting at.

      At last a 2D fighter for PS2
I've been waiting for this game for quite a while and it's almost finally here. Capcom Vs SNK 2 lets you play as some of the most famous fighters from both of these companies' fighting games (mostly Street Fighter and King of Fighters). I've been doing quite a bit of research on this game and let me tell you IT LOOKS GREAT, the only problem I found was that some of the characters, especially Morrigan, look really outdated. There really is little consistency between the look of the several fighters. The backgrounds on the other hand look spectacular.

Gameplay-wise, the game is a big improvement over the original Capcom vs SNK. The new ratio system lets you assign ratios to the different fighter instead of having fixed values for each character. This lets you make teams with any characters you want. Also there are now 6 different grooves instead of just 2. I won't get into the details of the different grooves but having 6 unique ways of playing a character adds greatly to the replay value.

The number of characters in this game is also amazing, there are 44 characters (22 from each side) and 4 hidden ones (or so I've heard; Evil Ryu, Blood Riot Iori, Shin Akuma and God Rugal). Since I'm not really a King of Fighters fan this game gives me 20-something new fighters to play with. People who are familiar with both of these companies fighting games might not find as much novelty in the game as I will but there are still some interesting new characters. From Capcom you get Eagle, Kyosuke, Maki, Yun and Dan. From SNK Haohmaru, Hibiki, Athena, Joe, Chang and Choi, Todo and Rock Howard.

I would definitely recommend this game to any fighting game fan. Even if you have already played the original Capcom Vs SNK to death, I think you will find some new stuff in this game to keep you hooked for another couple of months. This game will definitely keep me busy until Tekken 4 and Virtua Fighter 4 hit the PS2.

Capcom vs. SNK 2, 2D fighting at it's best
One of the best 2D fighting games ever finally comes to the Playstation 2. Capcom vs. SNK 2 is the sequel to another great fighting game, with more characters, grooves and much more. All the characters from the first game are back plus the addition Rock Howard, Joe Higashi, Haohmaru, Kyosuke, Dan, Eagle, Maki etc. and the evil versions of certain characters ( Evil Ryu, Blood Iori, Shin Akuma and Ultimate Rugal). The graphics are excellent and control is top notch. The backgrounds are 3D and very nice and a few characters make cameo appearances ( The London Stage has Billy Kane from Fatal Fury and Dudley from Street Fighter 3). There are also pre-fight intros with certain characters just before each fight ( Joe vs. Mai, Kim vs. Chang, Hibiki vs. Rolento pus many more). Any who is a fan of the Street Fighter and King Of Fighters series will absolutely love this game. Hopefully when they make Capcom vs. SNK 3 they'll add whole bunch of new characters like Batsu, Roy and Daigo from Rival Schools, Genjuro, Sieger and Basara from Samurai Shodown, Haggar from Final Fight, Andy B., Wolfgang K. from Fatal Fury and a whole lot more.

Digimon World 3 is an adventure to try!
Digimon World 3 is a great game if you are a pokemon fan. It is adventurous, funny, and creative. If you are used to those simple easy to predict games that you might play over and over, don't expect that in this exciting game. As you keep on playing it may become addictive for people that are creative and crave adventure. As you keep on playing you can see cool 3D graphics of the storyline. It beats the old Digimon World games with flying colors!

        This game is ssooooooooooo cool!
I had this game for 3 days now, and I'm already like an expert on this game, well sort of, I can't find a missing Gabumon card this soccer girl lost in the Asuka inn (its a hotel in the city you first go to) so I could get kicking tree boots. Also I don't know how you get wild digimon to join your party(it means a group), If anybody knows please write a review on DMW3 so I could know.

          Gross and gory but fun
This game is awesome and gory. Not good for kids 12 and under though.Even though I'm just a kid I understand the humor and It's funny. There is some cursing like da** and a** but nothing real bad.I've seen a few of the movies. They are cool/funny.This is agreat game!

Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick = Greatness
This game is definitly one of the best games I've ever played. The controls are good, the fighting is great, the weapons are kick ..., the environments/scenarios, Bruce Campbell's lines, etc. are all just so great. Sure, the game is a little short, but it's still worth it, and I don't know about other people but after beating the game, all I wanted to do was play it again and again. Plus, the game has "extra" stuff which are good, such as galleries, a Bonus "Making of..." movie/video, and also 5 different arcade games for each level. Taking the price into consideration too, this game is a must-have.

Note: If you know the movies, you'll appreciate this game even more.

          Bruce Campbell stomping chomping fun
If you like the Evil Dead films then you will LOVE this game. If you are a fan of the man then you will be in heaven for the next couple of days. If you do not know who ASH is or what Evil Dead is then you are directed immediately to watch the films instead...

          (1)The Evil Dead.
(2)Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn
(3)Army of Darkness (Evil Dead 3)

... once you have done that you are now in a better position to enjoy this game release which tries to be Evil Dead 4, but isn't really. The story is interesting (Ash must save a town from the deadites which have taken over) but the gameplay is only so-so entertainment (good 3D environment though) and there is nothing new here we have not seen before elsewhere, but like I said you must be a fan to give this one 5 stars or else it is just 3 star material. Basically you must run around town (kinda plays like State of Emergency with the bad guys running after ya), close otherworld portals, find items, hack up zombies with a chainsaw, blow them away with a shotgun (cool over-the-sholder moves and everything), defeat the end bosses and save the gal.

For all intensive purposes if you like the Evil Dead movies or want to BE Bruce Campbell for a few hours a day then this is EXACTLY what you have been looking for. Don't even continue this review and just get the darn thing. For all those lowlifes out there who do not know what ED is then GO FIND OUT and come back here later when you get what all the fuss is over.

I also recommended checking out his book "If Chins Could Kill".

          HAIL TO THE KING BABY!

          Better than american idol games
Karaoke Revolution 2 and Dance Revolution Extreme are coming out soon!~!
~Anyway a couple of my friends are tone deaf (sorta) they sing reallly bad and nasal and throaty and dead..but to them they sound good. When they hear themselves played back they think they don't sound anything like the voice on the recorder! KARAOKE REVOLUTION PROVED they really do suck so that they'd let the game and everyone else help them. NOW my friends sing A LOT better lol. Even I sing better now. It's really fun to try to get a high score in this game. You end up singing until you either go deaf or mute lol. Like ddr where you can't stop playing until you collapse of thirst and tiredness. Seriously these games are sooooo addicting and fun to play with your friends at sleepovers. HOWEVER it is good to have it set up in a place where it won't bother people who don't want to hear it so the kids don't have to turn it down low (minimizing the fun level lol! Well sorry this is so long....LATER

          Great fun
Buy this game if you like singing and you have people around you who also like to sing or make fools of themselves.

Make sure that you like the selection of songs that comes with the game. I thought ~30 songs would be too small but because of the game element where you are trying to perfect a song, I was not bothered by it too much. Plus, I hope that the Expansion disc if they ever put one out will have 50+ songs.

Anyway, the first day I bought the game, my wife and I compete with me singing Celebration and her singing Don't Know Why by Norah Jones and she ended up kicking my butt. It was probably the most fun both of us had together with the PS2. Can't wait to have people over and have a contest.

Word of caution: the Logitech headset that comes with the game is either too small or not as good as the Sony one. It fit my wife (whose head is pretty small) well, but since I have a bigger head, it was kind of hard to get it to fit right. I ended up having to hold the mic portion of the headset close to my mouth in order for the sound to register properly.

Buy the one without the headset!
I'm still giving this game 5 stars, but do yourself a big favor and do NOT buy this version. Amazon also sells the same game without the headset. Use your savings to purchase the PS2 Handheld Mic! Your scores will be so much better because the game will be able to pick up your voice.

The included headset is child sized, and in order to get it to work, one needs to hold the mic to ones mouth and it still cuts out. Do yourself a favor and buy the this game without the included mic! And also pick up Karaoke Revolution 2 at the same time while you are at it so you'll have 70 songs to choose from!

True Crime: Streets of L.A. is a Grand-Theft-Auto-esque action/driving/shooter that allows you to take control of Nick Kang, a cop out to solve a strange rash of crimes and solve his father's mysterious murder. The game treats itself like a movie, with frequent dialogue and cinematics, a soundtrack filled with some of rap's heavy hitters, and some surprising voiceover talent, like Christopher Walken and Snoop Dogg.

The missions given to you tend to involve shooting up or beating up (there is a big distinction between gun fighting and kung fu) a room full of bad guys, or simply have you racing against the clock in your car. In between, you can roam around and solve simple street crimes (mugging, car jackings, etc), or earn upgrades for your driving, shooting, and fighting abilities. The upgrade mechanism is important because while it's an entertaining way to add new gameplay elements several hours in, the early game leaves you with so few moves that the game is hard, or worse, boring. The game also features a Good-Cop/Bad-Cop karma system that rewards or punishes you for doing the right or wrong thing. Arrest criminals in non-lethal manner to get better endings, or terrorize the populace and have both citizens and police turn on you.

While it can be an entertaining take on the Grand Theft Auto genre, True Crime tends to suffer from hit and miss execution. For every compelling game element, there's another equally awful one. There are several mission types that are completely devoid of any fun, melee fighting favors button mashing even after the nearly-useless string of upgrades, and the controls and camera seem to work against you more often than for you. Ultimately, hardcore Grand Theft Auto fans and the infinitely patient may be in for a treat, but everyone else is advised to think twice about this game.--Jon "Safety Monkey" Grover

          Pros:

          • Variety of mission types keeps game from getting overly repetitive
          • Karma system and plenty of alternate cinematics add to replay value
          • Excellent voice work and above average graphics
          Cons:
          • Controls feel sloppy and the camera will make you want to punch out your TV
          • Certain mission-types are just plain boring
          • Melee fighting favors button mashing over thought-out, timed attacks

          not as violent as said...
This game is the best game EVER!!! the branching storyline makes it the most realistic game in the world. I'm sorry rockstar, but nintendo has finally come up with a game better than GTA: Vice city!!! this game is rated m for mature, but it's totally off. For all u parents out there anoying you're kids with "violent video game" jive, this is the game for you're child: it's not as vilent as it seems, and there isn't as much blood as in VC.ANd the gameplay is an easy ten on ten. I mean, i'm thirteen years olf for crying ouloud! My cousin Jim lissel wrote a reviiew about this game, reawd it. Although it's basically the same as mine, i find it criticall for fellow gamers know how much less violent this game is than it appears to be.

True Crime Streets of LA Review and Comparison to GTA
This is a great game...Especially if you are a fan of the grand theft auto series... Although being very different from the grand theft auto series this is better... You can use combos moves in fights (unlike the GTAS fights where everything is random)... There are cool cars (most of them look are look alike licensed cars)... I rated this game 5 out of 5 BUY IT and no im not hatin' on Grand theft auto (its a good game to)... and the streets are exactly like the streets in LA...

          Love this Game
I bought the game yesterday after hearig glowing reviews about it. I must admit I didn't think that the game would be as excellent as it is, I mean the stories are intresting the gameplay action driving all together makes the game so enjoyable. I highly reccomend that you buy the game if you like great driving and action games . You'll love True Crime streets of LA
