Not that great. However when I started playing, I realized that the game play was too much like playing puzzles. Gets redundant and dull and boring. And the music is annoying. Just not my type of game but that's just my opinion. I prefer Final Fantasy type RPGs.
The best game you've never heard of.You play Larharl, the Demon Prince of the Netherworld. You've just awoken from a two year nap to find your Father, the Overlord has died, and everyone else is fighting over your throne. So, with your not quite faithful vassal Etna and a squadron of Penguins, you set out to reclaim your birth-right.
Sound funny? Well it is. The storyline is played out in Episodes, and is full of pop culture references, [physical] innuendo, and a few bad puns. And despite that, the characters have depth. And they're not the only things.
Aside from the storyline battles, you can delve into the hidden world in literally every item in the game. These dungeons are randomly created, and can go down up to 100 levels (or more?). Each level you complete makes the item that much better, in addition to affording you more XP and items. And there's also the Dark Assembly, a Congress of Demons who can make serious changes to the basic game, if you bribe them enough or beat them into submission.
But beware... This game will eat up every free second you have, and a some you don't...
The Real Final Fantasy Tactics Advance? At first, I had the feeling that this game could have been done on the Playstation One, but the average graphics soon became unnoticeable once the action started. This is where the genre has gotten a real facelift, allowing for many, many options during the fighting, which translate into much more strategy.
The options outside of battle are good, too, including the ability to create your own characters. Now that I can do this, I wonder how I've ever liked a strategy game without it. The game play is smooth, which helps differentiate it from a Playstation game, and everything works well to set the mood.
The music in Disgaea is great, catchy music with enough variation to avoid becoming stale. In fact, the whole game manages to keep from getting stale, even doing the same map multiple times for extra experience.
The story of Disgaea is good, and while it seems familiar much of the time, it's pretty original. The cut scenes are well done, and often hilarious, sometimes poking fun at the lack of actual strategy found in other games of this genre.
So if you liked Final Fantasy Tactics, you will like this game. If you didn't like it because it didn't actually have all that much strategy, you should like this game. If you never played Final Fantasy Tactics, but you are looking for a game that is a lot of fun and has a good story, this is a good game to get. Disgaea is a very solid purchase, combining all the important elements of what makes a great game and even sometimes managing to be original.

"This special offer lets video gamers with Halo envy easily and affordably adopt Xbox," said Bill Nielsen, director of U.S. marketing for Xbox at Microsoft. "We expect collectors, as well as those who have been waiting for the right time to purchase their Xbox system, to jump at this unique opportunity."
Halo
Hailed as "absolutely brilliant" by Electronic Gaming Monthly, Halo is a futuristic odyssey that challenges players to save humankind from extermination by aliens. Developed exclusively for Xbox by Bungie Studios, part of Microsoft Game Studios, the game has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide and spawned a legion of devotees who participate in competitions, tournaments and game nights.
Xbox
With a 733MHz processor, 64MB of Memory, 8 gigabyte hard drive, built-in ethernet port, and NVIDIA graphics processing unit, the Xbox is the most advanced home console system available. This translucent green Halo-branded system comes with one "S"-style controller and all necessary cables.

Hey...it's greenWell, if you want an XBox, there is nothing wrong with this bundle...the pack in game is nice( one of the best FPS console shooters ever), the system indeed looks better in it's translucent green rather than the huge black box it usually is, and the controller...well, it 's a Controller S and it's translucent green too...and well, it says Halo on it. The Halo disc does contain some old footage of the upcoming Halo 2, along with a quick 'making of' video.
Kudos to MS for bringing out colored consoles (oddly, this system has prompted XBox and Halo fans to get rid of their old ones just to get the "Halo System")...it works in Japan (see Hello Kitty Dreamcasts, Power Ranger hued PS2's, and Japan only Blue Kasumi DOA XBoxes) . We'll see if it works here. Sony, I'd like my translucent blue PS2 now please. :)
In a word, awesomeFor starters, the translucent green shell looks great. They also include a matching S-pad, which is good, because I think the s-pad is much more comfortable than the original controller. Both the controller and the system deck have a halo badge on them, which is a nice touch.
It also (being that it's the halo bundle) comes with a copy of Halo. Not that I need to tell you this, but Halo is an AWESOME game- actually, it's the best console shooter out, in my opinion. It has the best multiplayer I've seen in a long time, and the single player, so far, is great.
Now, I should inform you, I am not a microsoft fanboy. In fact, if I am biased in any way, it would be in favor of nintendo. I actually don't like microsoft at all, being that they are monopolizing just about everything. All predjudices aside though, this is a great system, and I was willing to conform just enough to bring myself to buy it, and feed the beast that is Bill Gates.
I highly reccomend this bundle pack. It's a great time to buy it, since Halo 2 is coming out in a few months, and it gives you time to enjoy the original. This game will go unsurpassed for a long long time.

MUCH better than the original!I haven't made it to the ending yet, so I don't know if the ending is any good or not. I do wish they'd have let you capture or kill Saddam, but in real life he escaped Baghdad so he might as well have escaped here too.
There's a variety of weapons to use, including smoke grenades when you need to hide behind some cover (VERY useful on the levels when you encounter tanks which can only be destroyed by laying mines, using C4 or RPG's.)
Your squad AI is also very intelligent mostly, as is the enemy AI.
There's also an element of strategy involved with some parts of levels, and some entire levels. It's not just a straight shooter, sometimes you've got to use stealth and it makes the level easier. If you just go in guns blazing the enemy AI realizes you're there and opens up on you, which usually ends up being very bad for you and your squad, particularly if there's a tank involved.
Overall, this is a great game and a lot of fun. If you like Freedom Fighters or SOCOM or SOCOM II you'll like this game too.
Great to REPLAY!I enjoyed being able to set each man up for a different purpose and planning strategy on the best way to fight the enemy.
As others have mentioned this game was short. I think after I got the hang of it I played it in a couple of hours maybe less, I can't remember exactly how long.
I love this game though it's on my REPLAY list! The easy mode is perfect for people like me who need to get the hang of a game before going all out on it. I like a game that allows you to play an easy version before heading into hard warfare. Even on easy mode you have to have good strategy to play well.
LOVE The game and look forward to a sequel!

Players take on the role of a blue-collar worker who evolves into a charismatic and fearless freedom fighter obsessed with finding and freeing his brother, who has been taken hostage along with other New Yorkers by the Soviets. You must recruit and lead an army of urban guerillas to take on the Soviet threat in the streets of New York City. Freedom: The Battle for Liberty Island provides two layers of gameplay: A strategic turn-based mode that centers on base operations in an underground sewer system and an action mode that unfolds in the streets where fierce battles are won or lost and resources are captured.

In a alternate world where the "Soviets" ended WW2,the soviets have grown very powerful. They have defeated most(or all)of Europe, took over Mexico, and are circling around America. Its Summer of 2003 and Plumbers Chris and Troy Stone get a call from a girl named Isabella to come fix her sink. When they get their, nobodys home..."Bang",Soviets invade the room, take Troy, and invade the city.As Chris you must take back the city and defeat the Soviets.

This installment introduces a 3-D battle system that still manages to maintain a 2-D feel. For example, pushing up on your controller makes you sidestep your opponent's attacks, yet it also allows you to jump by tapping up plus a direction. A revamped fighting system offers up to three different fighting styles for each fighter (one includes a weapon technique). The multiple styles provide countless variations of attacks for any given fighter. Different combinations of punches and kicks allow for lengthy and powerful chain attacks similar to the Mortal Kombat of old. Fatalities are also back and are rich in graphic representation.
New fighters join the cast of old favorites such as Sonya, Kano, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Scorpion, Johnny Cage, Jax, Cyrax, Kung Lao, Kitana, Quan Chi, Reptile, and Shang Tsung. The lavish environments surround your fighters with animated backgrounds and rich skylines. On some levels there are even breakable objects and hazards that you can interact with, such as pools of acid--the perfect landing place for a thrown opponent.
In addition to regular modes of gameplay (arcade, versus, etc.) there is an option called Konquest mode. This mode allows you to learn more about fighting styles, read up on each character's personal history, and gain Koins which can then be spent in the Krypt to unlock a host of new characters, costumes, and early concept drawings. The additional content offered with this title is plentiful, including "The Making of Deadly Alliance" and "The History of Mortal Kombat" featurettes.
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance successfully reinvents the series by dishing up a unique mix of improved graphics and stylized gameplay without compromising those features that made the MK series popular in the first place. --Carlos Rodela
Pros:
- Complex gameplay
- Realistic 3-D graphics
- Hundreds of unlockable features
Cons:
- Weak story line
- Unbalanced combo system

okay but too easy

The manual says the battery life is about 100 hours for fresh high quality alkaline batteries, very good! There is an orange LED power indicator on controller and when battery life gets low the LED dims! There is a green LED on the receiver, it lights up when the controller is in action, pretty neat! The wavebird is very well designed!
The controller to receiver 'wireless' connection is very solid! You can point the controller in any direction, under blanket, behind a door, outside from the window, or play behind your back, the controller never loses its communication with the receiver.
Overall this controller is great. If you want an extra/more controllers, get the wavebird instead of the regular Nintendo Gamecube controller.
Wireless Whirled Out
Perfect controllerAnd speaking of the lack of rumble feature, some people are grumbling about it. Think about it. You'd need the rumble motor and a receiver in the controller. These would add additional bulk and weight. The new receiver on the controller would have to be running constantly, even though it would receive a signal a fraction of the time. This would require a lot more battery power (think eight double-A's instead of two, or add $50 to the price for a good Lithium-ion battery). Batteries tend to be very heavy, so again, more weight. So you'd be adding weight, bulk, and price for a feature that a lot of people don't care about anyway. Maybe they should sell a wireless rumble pack that has its own batteries and can be strapped to the controller?

Nintendo Made This Controller? Why Am I Not Surprised?Don't even ask me what we'll ever need the D-Pad for, I don't know! However this is a cool color though, so I gusse that count's for something! Otherwise I don't recomend! Nintendo has has a bad reputation with making bad controllers (N64 anyone?), and this one is no different!

You are J.C. Denton, a powerful, nanotechnologically augmented antiterrorist agent. It's up to you to stop the conspirators from achieving their goals. But this world is full of lies and betrayal, a world where nothing is as it seems and entire nations can seemingly be turned against you at the push of a button. To succeed, you must travel the globe in a quest for knowledge, develop your character's nanotech augmentations and strengths as you see fit, build a network of allies to assist you, and determine when stealth and strategy are more important than action. And each time you think you've got the mystery solved and the game figured out, there's another, deeper mystery to unravel. You will never know whom to trust, who your friends are, who's in the conspiracy, and who's innocent. Maybe no one is.
