    the best second person shooter
this game is very simmilar to die hard vandetta but, BETTER.this game has foul language, lots of blood, and good graphics. in simmilar games if you didn't have a gun you had to get one by picking on up of their dead body after using your hands and feet to kill him but, in this game if you don't have a gun you can just break their neck and take it or grab their head flip them sidways and shoot them in the head. the game is also loaded with minigames. i would defiantly recomend this game but,i will say it may not be sutible for young children

    Gamecube??
First off I think this is supposed to be the Gamecube version (doesn't say). Dead to Rights plays just like an arcade game with the best of platform elements including extensive cinamatic sequences and an excellent controller set-up. The graphics remind me a little of Winback (N64) with the addition of 15+ sweet disarms and the ability to acquire a human shield. The only let down is the length sure there are 16 chapters but I'm on the 9th and its taken 4:20 (great #'s).

    GUNS GUNS GUNS!!
This is a cool game. Gun blazing action with good story line.
I Showed my cousin Jerry this and he copied me right away.
It is a cool shooting game with crap graphics. But you can do combos and stuff. Its mainly, BANG BANG BANG AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
    And Tap...tap...tap....Crack!! Thump...Shooting, snaping necks,
and fist fighting. If you like shoot em up action then get it and rubb it in there face.

a supreme innovation in the rts genre
Goblin Commander has its faults. The worst of them is the inherent low resolution of the television set, which means you just can't see much detail when the camera is pulled back. The game is also completely lacking in bells and whistles -- no single player skirmish maps, very basic music, and a silly linear storyline. With all that understood, this is not just the best console RTS, but the most innovative RTS on any platform to come along since Dungeon Keeper (a game that it clearly draws on; GC is almost a cross between DK and Warcraft), and probably the most innovative game of any kind since Grand Theft Auto 3. The major ingredients are: A, the great control interface, and B. the ability to direct-control units, which is seamlessly integreted into the gameplay as a strategic element. If you are an RTS fan, its almost worth buying a console just to play this game; if you are a console-only player, my goodness, are you in for a treat -- good RTS games were formerly the exclusive domain of the PC. You'll find out what you've been missing, and then some. (RTS, by the way, means real-time strategy -- do a web search for details).

    pretty simple
kinda dissapointed after reading the reviews, game was very easy to beat and after you beat it there's not much use for the game anymore cause you can't play skirmishes against the computer

I am so glad I traded in my old games...
Oh...my...god...THIS IS THE BEST RTS GAME TO EVER BE RELEASED!!!!!!! I at first looked at this game and thought that it would just be one of those games that had no effort put into it. Well, this teaches one thing: "Never judge a book(or video game) by it's cover". Though the graphics aren't the best that I have ever seen, they are great. The missions get longer and longer, making a great challenge that will have gamers up all night staring at their t.v. Now then, to bring out this game's full potential, make sure you have someone to beat in multiplayer. I was dissapionted that this game had no computer a.i. to play in multiplayer. One more dissapiontment is that there is no online feature for this game(though I am unable to use online). Even so, rush out to your local game store and purchase Goblin Commander: Unleash The Horde. You won't be dissapointed.(Also check out Starcraft for the PC.)

    Okay, But Lacks Certain Qualities
This game is deffinetly an improvement over the third but it lacks a few things that seperate from the best. For example: Because you can now hold up to 5 monsters on your ranch at a time, you'd think the designers might give you more vs. data slots. But they don't, which means that you can only have one full party of monster's data, plus one monster! Also, when your monster has to be retired, you can't save your vs. data so your stuck with what you have saved in the past.
Training in this game has improved dramatically with the introduction of training gadgets. You can customize your schedule so you don't have to fiddle around with the controls every week like in it's predeccessor.
Once you finish your training you have to go to "weekend activities" and choose to either enter a competition, go adventuring, go to town, or go to the next week.
The all new 3D adventuring in this game is amazing, walk around 4 levels, that you have to unlock as you go through the game, and search for treasures, do goals, or just try and get your monster a new move. You can also unlock the ability to fly, or ride on your monster.
Now about the battles. Your monster can now hold up to 9 moves, plus you can press any button you want, not just the button that's high-lighted, like in MR3. Also, when your monster does a move that annoying black screen, that shows up in MR3, doesn't show up. The second you hit the desired button, unless your monster is disobeying you, the monster does the move. What a relief!
Going to town is also a cool thing. You can go to 4 different towns and talk to people. You can also buy food, and items for your monsters at the item shop. I won't reveal any more of the game, but I will say, this game is deffinetly worth getting!

A game to rent and try out first
I realy liked this game. I've never played the others but i remember watching the tv show. Everything in this game was great. Except i would of rather like it for the characters to talk so u dont have to read. Also i wish that monsters would stay alive longer cause me i like to get them good leveled up to like 200 b4 batteling. And the main character.... The real mystery is he male or female?.. I would of liked it if they would have had a option of characters to pick from and they put great work in the graphics of the monsters but not so much on the main character. The training gets very very boring but its so freaking addicting I keep traing. I reneted the game and got to the third town but now i cant rent it for a while. :(
But over all a great game but some would rather rent to try out first.

    Fourth version is great
The game returns to it's former playing style (Rather than following MR-3's style, it's more like MR-1 and 2). The graphics are a nice 3D environment regarding your character, the monsters and the battles. The chat/shop modes are flat anime style drawings, however the characters do have facial expression changes during the appropriate moments of chatting.

Whether you're a seasoned MR breeder or new to the game, the fourth version will be easily playable while still offering challenges for us "old timers". The larger your CD/DVD collection is, the more likely you are to get more monster choices. The game will walk you through "extracting a monster" from your discs. Computer discs, music CD's, DVD's, and game console CD's are read by the game at specific points and will display a monster held within for you to keep or not.

The interface (the yes/no options) are a bit tricky, be careful when clicking through to speed text up as sometimes it will click "yes" when you're not ready and tend to destroy a battle or result in purchasing an item you really weren't ready to spend your money on.

The music is nice, low-key, and fits well with the scenes. The monster models are excellent, very cute. Their animations while training/fighting are well done.

All in all, I love the game despite the minor issues with the interface at times. I am a long time MR player, so I was already hooked before I ripped the plastic off the case. :)

    GameCube Memory Card 251

    Listen Up
Ok, there is nothing wrong with this memory card, exept it's worthless. If you want to get some bang for your buck just get a Madcats memory card. It holds 1041 chips of memory for the same price. do it

The only Memory Card to get right now
It's about time we no longer have the 59 memory card. The 251 is the only place to go for memory. You can buy other brands now that offer a 251, but lets face it they are not Nintendo. You have to have a memory card to save your games and this is the best one out. I own a bunch of memory cards and they are all this one. I would't buy another one to save my games on. Well that is until they make a bigger one.

    A Quality Product from Nintendo
If you read the VERY small print on your Game Cube warranty, any and all 3rd party (i.e. Intec, Mad Catz) products that you use on your system void your warranty with your Game Cube. When people ask me, I always recommend the original. The Original Memory card that Nintendo came out with was way too small for the games they were putting out on the market. The 251 is great! I had 5-59 block memory cards at one time, all with one file on it that was over half the size of the card. Having a 251 allows me to have one card in my system, with all my saved games, and plenty of space left over. This is a definite must have if you're buying a system.

Good looking, true to the story, but definitely a rental.
I'm going to start off by coming right out and saying that I played the first two titles in this franchise, and enjoyed them both. I've read the books, seen the movies, and have enjoyed (for the most part) the games. So as you read this review, appreciate that I'm not coming down on Harry Potter himself, nor am I slighting the world that Rowling has created in the books, and Warner Bros. have put to the screen. Nor am I even taking undo shots at the great and mighty Electronic Arts, although they deserve a few for getting a little lazy with this most recent addition to the line of Potter gaming titles.

First and foremost, let me air my chief complaint. You don't play Quidditch. Not once. In fact, you never touch a broom. The Quidditch matches are reduced to a static cut scene, where you're simply holding the Quidditch Cup. The cynic in me suspects that EA left it out to help drive sales of their stand-alone Quidditch title. But none of the speculation matters, it's simply not there.

My second issue is this game is exceptionally short. I'm not sure how long it took me to finish each of the first two, but it was longer (in each case) than the 5 hours or so it took me to play this one from start to finish. That's not braggadocio. I mean, for one, we're talking about a game in the Harry Potter franchise that has to be something that can appeal to, and be completed by, a wide age and ability range of gamers. So 'easy' isn't an issue here, particularly since a game like this isn't so much something you get for a challenge, but rather an opportunity to sort of live a little bit of Hogwarts. For another, I enjoy getting off the beaten path a bit in games. So this wasn't a case where I just raced through, I collected the pages, cards and beans (although there was really no point to it -- in the last title you spent beans on trinkets Ron's brothers had for sale, not so here). I played the side games, made sure I had A+ in each of the 3 'minigames', Buckbeak's bat chasing, owl racing, and dueling club. The point is, even if you allow yourself to be sidetracked, there will quickly come a point in the game where Dumbledore tells you to speak to him when you're ready to hear who won the House Cup. Make no mistake, that's the end. With no final cut scene, save a grimacing Snape as confetti falls, and some jumping around by the winning house, the game simply drops you out to the main menu. I'm not sure I've ever seen a more abrupt ending, it's a bit like the developers meant to do more, and simply ran out of time.

To wrap up my gripes, the control is a little wonky in this one, some sloppy camera angles allowing you at times to lose site of everything as you stare into the woodgrain of a bookcase, or a stone wall that has blocked your field of view. Games with this perspective have been around long enough that this should have been much cleaner.

I'm not all complaints though. This is, by far, the best visual presentation the franchise has enjoyed so far. There's a level of artistry in this game that really jumps out at you, and there are times when you'll find yourself admiring the composition of different scenes. They clearly went out of their way to make it look good.

So that's the quandary here. The game looks good. It plays adequately, and while brief, it's true to the story. So is it good? I'd have to shrug and say 'yes', and I'll give it 3 stars for the sake of this review. It's certainly worth a rental, and while I know some will scoff and flap their Hogwarts robes in outrage at the suggestion that this isn't worth buying -- I think that's an important point to make here, and one that I wish I had considered before plunking down cash for this game. Really, don't buy it unless you're making a point to collect.

I sort of imagine the development team for this game sitting around a table some time ago, in a meeting intended to lay the groundwork for the game. And in my imagination, a lot of great ideas are tossed around, but then someone in a suit with insectile eyes speaks up and says "Look, that's all great, but toss it out. What's important is the cover. As long as it says 'Harry Potter Prisoner of Azkaban', it will sell. Make it look pretty, but don't spend just a ton of time on this. Create a linear gauntlet of 'Point A' to 'Point B' light puzzle solving, use the voices of at least some of the actors from the movie -- and it will sell, and sell well." I don't know if that's how it happened, but this game falls well short of expectations driven by the first two titles. It's always those people in the suits...

You do play as Harry, Ron and Hermione. There is "new" action, such as flying Buckbeak, and Hedwig. But there's no depth to any of that. Some of the puzzles are clever, the visuals are terrific, the sound is solid. It is, in the end, a Harry Potter title, true to the book and the movie, and for that alone, this game will find its way into people's libraries. I simply hope EA gets its act together and really does something with the next title, so that I don't again feel like the game was merely an afterthought. The first two didn't feel or play like that, there's really no reason the third one should have.

    No Quidditch. How could they?

This game is going to be bloody brilliant
I have played both of the versions of the Sorcerors Stone and the Chamber Of Secrets and all three are my favorite games. I thought this game would probably have the same layout different storyline but I was amazed when I read about the new features. This game is going to be bloody brilliant. I've heard about the new feature where you get to be Ron or Hermione also, but come on I will and always will be Harry cause it is his tale and his game. But I'm just wonderin if there will be Co-op. XBOX bloody rocks!!!!!!!!!

    Confusing but good
It's great that the main character is a cute girly-girl (who can also fight) -it's about time! I like how you can wander around, but my problem is how the map isn't that easy to follow. It's kind of a pain and easy to get lost.
However, I am going to buy this game and finish it. =)
My favorites are Spyro, Ty, Dark Cloud 2, and Whiplash.

FUNNNN and not only for girls but boys too
i love to play but i dont like very tough games i loved kingdom heart ,jak and daxter when i bought kya it was based on a review when i got it i was not very interested to play it for weeks i thought its very tough and boring....but i was surprised.......really i am enjoying it and i cant stop playing it its for those who like to play easy but fun games with fun story...there are many things to do in this game it keeps you busy and not bored...its not easy easssssy...but not very tough
its a must not only for girls but boys as well....totaly LOVE IT

    AWESOME
Don't know how, but rented this at Blockbuster a week earlier than the release date. I don't play much video games since I am not every good ate them. but this game is super fun. The game starts and after a short movie, you jump right in to an action pack game. It has a combination of everything: skateboarding, flying, exploring, save-the-love one, fighting monsters, puzzles, etc. It's taking me some time to play, but, again, I am not a very good gamer. I find it easy enough and challenging enough. Which makes it fun. Happy Gaming!

Okay Puzzle Game - No Replay Value At All
The premise of this game is to use different skills to open a big lock, either by moving a key along or navigating a platform. The game starts out easy but gets extremely difficult at the higher levels. While the graphics are pretty good for GBA, the game does not offer much replay value once the puzzles are solved and the puzzles are somewhat tedious and repetitive. Younger children may like this if they are familiar with the Mario characters but the game will only be played until the puzzles are solved or until a difficult level is reached. Not up to par with the Super Mario series. In fact some of the move are reminiscent of the old Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr games. In short, not quite a "must-buy".

An excellent platforming puzzle game with a few flaws
First and foremost, Mario vs. Donkey Kong is the successor in gameplay to an old original Game Boy title simply called Donkey Kong, often referred to as Donkey Kong '94 to avoid confusion with the original arcade classic. In that excellent game, the object of each level was to acquire a key and make your way to a locked door to proceed to the next level. However, the puzzles were often very devious and required much thought. At the end of each world, you would have to battle Donkey Kong in order to move on to the next world.

Not much has changed since then, since Mario vs. Donkey follows the same basic format with a few twists. The new aspect of each level is that there are actually two parts with two different objectives to each level. In the first half of the level, you have to get the key in order to unlock the door in typical Donkey Kong '94 fashion. You have to manuever around enemies and spike pits to reach your objective, as well as climbing ropes similar to Donkey Kong Jr., using special-colored switches to make platforms appear, and working with conveyor belts. In the second half of each stage, you have to make your way to a Mini-Mario toy (an aspect of the simple and strange storyline). There are also three presents in each level that, if collected, will give you a chance to win extra lives at the end of each level.

The one major problem I have with the game is the controls. For the most part, they are very good, but they can be unresponsive sometimes, leading to unnecessary deaths and frustrated players. The ropes also tend to give me a fit, since you jump off in different ways depending on if you are grasping one or reaching out for another.

The challenge is very good. The first four worlds serve as an introduction, as the game doesn't start getting difficult until the fifth out of six worlds. The first four may lull you into a sense of false security, but when you get to the fifth, you'll start losing lives like crazy. The puzzles often require quite a bit of thinking and strategy. You can't just breeze through this game without a bit of thought and planning.

The game will keep you busy for quite a while. The box says that there are only six worlds, which is a bit misleading. After you finish the six worlds, you will unlock six more worlds with the same themes but different stages. In addition to this, there are many "Expert" levels that you can unlock by aquiring the high score in the normal levels. And believe me, these high scores are often not easy to get.

The graphics in the game are pretty nice, but they look a bit blocky. The backgrounds look great, though. The sound is a bit iffy, though. The music is wonderful and has many hummable themes, but the sound effects, especially Mario's voice, can be a bit grating.

All in all, the game is quite a bit of fun, and would be nearly perfect if the controls didn't have a habit of being unresponsive at key moments. It is a definite must-buy if you are a puzzle fan or have played and liked Donkey Kong '94.

    fun for kids and adults
Very interesting game. Good thing is that it is made of small and separate challenges. Continue feature allows you to start at the challenge you left off. Dont need to start all over again. Will save your game. Graphics and sound are excellent. Very addictive. Good for both kids and adults.

ROTK8 - Constantly Getting Better and Better
Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 is an excellent game. Like ROTK7, you can play any character in the game rather than just the ruler. The game follows the magic of the book, which heros that have herculean strength and some even have magical abilities. Significant characters from the previous games have had their abilities changed to better reflect the book which the game is based. For example, Cao Cao have great Charm, Political wisdom and intelligence, but him war experience is somewhat average, reflecting the fact that he was more of a strategist than a front line soldier.
I only had a few problems with the game. Titles, which officers could be given as the ruler's rank increased in ROTK7 have been removed. I liked being able to give my officers different titles. Also, I think there should be more intrigue in the game. Hardly any officers rebel against their rulers and start their own kingdom, only happening when the ruler dies and even that is rare.
Overall, this game is excellent and well worth the time of playing it. If you like Koei style strategy games, you will love this game.

      Take over Ancient China.
Some people play Halo. Some people play Counter-Strike. If you're a strategy fan, you're now playing Romance of the 3 Kingdoms 8. Released on August 12, 2003, Koei added a new title to their longest-running series. If you're familiar with, and enjoyed, previous titles in the Ro3K series, 8 is a perfect choice for you. If you're into games with fast paced action, walk right by. Fans of PC-style strategy games like Civilization and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri will be right at home with Ro3K8.

The game is very, very deep with tons of replay value. If you're an armchair general, get this game.

Top of the world, Ma !!
This version of RTK is the best by far in my opinion. To do away with all the melodrama of other critics...this is one is the most versatile of all the series. The "growing pains" of your created character are directly impacted within the RTK world you play in. Lets be for real, what are the chances of a 90 rated free officer offering his services to a new jack?

The concept of getting to know an free officer and building relations was great. The battle scenarios and help/ tutilage through the different characters is another plus. Lastly, the concept of 'observing' first to increase productivity is even greater.

This is the collectors edition for the RTKer who wants to experience true and thorough gameplay.

      Hello.
Why would anyone make a video game about rednecks?

big mutha truckers 5 star review.
I rate this game a five star game for a excellent reason. Big Mutha Truckers has awsome graphics. It also a funny and a cool game in the game you can choose between 4 members of the jakesn faimly,Bobbysue,Earl,Rawkus and Cletus. The object of the game is to collect the most money then your other three siblings. Also when you pick a player you cant change it until a game over. You can get gameover for a couple reasosns,if you take out loans you get a certain amount of time to pay them back or the loaners damage your truck and then if you still dont pay them back they can take your truck away and that can cause a game over. Also after 60 days if you dont have the most amuont of cash you also lose.If you own the most money at the end you win and get the faimly busniss. you can take out loans at bars you can also get jobs at the bars. You can find bar in the towns.A good way to make money to buy stuff in one town and sell it were its worth more money. You can find out were to buy and sell items at the bar also. There are also slot machines there to.I hope you found my review helpful.

Fun, funny, and a great price
Right under the $$$$ mark, this game provides hours and hours of entertainment.

Ma Jackson is the owner of Big Mutha Truckers, Inc., and has announced to her four kids that she is callin' it quits. Choosing the new owner of the company will not be easy.
Out of Ma's four kids because they are a unique and difficult bunch.
Ma comes up with solution- "Trial by Truckin'"- whoever wins will take control of the company. You can buy, sell, and swindle your way to the top. Sibling rivalry, obstacles and all kinds of adventure. As Ma always says, "When it comes to business, family don't mean squat!"

There are non-linear mission based style of gameplay that allows players to travel between five distinct cities. There are also 4 characters to choose from. This includes Bobbie-Sue, Cletus, Earl, and Rawkus -each with their own attributes and customized rigs.

Haul various types of cargo to earn money.

Listen to the 6 different radio stations while trucking around town.

Battle bikers, truck-jackers, and try to stay away from the corrupt Police force in some cities.

Customize your rig with upgrades from the garage, find new routes, hidden bonuses, and smash up cars.

The video games we used to play as kids....
My 9 year old son received a GameCube for Christmas and the 2 games he received were WaveRunner and Luigi's Mansion. Both of those games he liked, however I have motion sickness bad and cannot play alot of the games they have out now because of all the movement. I specifically bought this Namco Museum for me and guess what everybody loves it! It is great to be able to show my son some of the older games we used to play as kids. I just wish it had Centipede on it..That would be great. Enjoy all you Pacman and Galaga fans....

        classics revisited but missing something
I recieved this item for Christmas and was satisified with it. Games like Pacman and Pole Position bring back fond memories of my childhood. The games included are: Pacman, Ms. Pacman, Pole Position, Pole Position 2, Galaga, Galaxiga- as well as revamped versions of Dig Dug and Galaga. You can also unlock several games. The downside to this compilation is 1. the number of games- all in all theres really only 4-5 games to choose from. 2. the revamped version of Dig Dug is poor. Not that its poor in quality but the screen size is TINY and graphics are difficult to see. 3. All the game screens again are TINY, Pole Position and Pole Position 2 are exceptions- since they are full screen. All the other games have huge borders- I wish they were all full screen. Other than that its a decent compilation, but it left me wanting more (more games and full screen views). I recommend this if you are a big 80s game fan, only because if you've never played Pacman or Galaga you might be let down. Also the controls are difficult. For instance using the gamecube controller in pacman is just.. hard. You want to go straight but instead take a left= they're just very sensitive.

        Excellent. I highly recommend!
I remember when Galaga came out in the arcades. There were lines of people waiting to play it including me. This Namco collection is arcade perfect. I also LOVE the revamped versions of Pacman and Galaga. They are incredibly good in my opinion and highly addictive. This was the best $20 for the Cube that I have spent. Some people complain that the screen is small, but hey! The original Galaga was on a small horizontal screen as well, and the 25" monitors of today were unheard of. To me it just makes the game that much more perfect. I had a 10 yr old recommend this game to me! I couldn't believe it, he was not even alive when it originally came out and he said next to Smash Bro's, this was his second favorite game. 20 yrs and still kicking. GO AND BYE IT. Can't beat it for $20.
