It will make you crazy
Action puzzle gaming in your pocketThe game gets difficult quickly as new rows of blocks start to be added quickly by level 5 or 6. By level 10 you have to get 100 new lines to clear the level and they are coming even more quickly. At least when you lose you are able to restart the game on that level. Help is provided by black bombs which destroy all the surrounding blocks, and colored bombs which will destroy every identically colored block on the stack. There is some strategy to when you want to select blocks to remove them, sometimes it might be best to wait for more blocks to be added, and you have to pay attention to what is above that might fall on what's below.
Super Collapse has been available on the web for quite a while to play on a PC or Mac. If you have played that original, the GameBoy version is a bit more difficult when you have to pick blocks by moving the cursor around a block at a time instead of clicking with the mouse on the block you want to pick. Pointing the mouse is much easier to get to the block you want to choose.
The one mark against this game is that it doesn't save or keep high scores. There is a password that are given after 5 levels (and maybe every 5 after that - don't know - haven't gotten that far) but passwords are lame - Majesco, spring a few cents for saving next time.

Freeze and SlashThere is a long tutorial that teaches you how to use each form. A cool power in this game is that you can freeze time, when you have enough energy orbs. While time is frozen, your enemies are unable to move, but you will be able to execute deadly combo attacks with whatever forms you have.
Pros:
+freeze time
+cool looking combo attacks
+good music
+good sound effects
+nice graphics
+three transformation modes
Cons:
-cheap shots from enemies
-gets difficult fast
-becomes repetative
-linear gameplay
overall an average game. Freezing time and doing
combo attacks are fun, but very difficult to pull off.
I was also very annoyed by the cheap shots from the
cpu enemies.
Off on a tangent.I must say that this is one of the most original games I've played in a good long while. The screen distortion effects, time dialation concept (not too unlike "Bullet Time" effects) & just the whole game in general was well thought out, & even more brilliantly executed.
I hightly reccommend this game.

The first few levels play just like the original Asteroids game. Your ship starts in the middle of the screen, spins, and blasts asteroids. You can thrust about and pick up some nifty power-ups, but the game doesn't really heat up until later stages. For example, the second stage introduces dangerous black holes that you must avoid. Strangely enough, the final levels play somewhat like another classic game, Missile Command.
There are lots of hidden goodies in this game, from new ships to an embedded version of the original wire-frame Asteroids. Fortunately, this version offers more than a simple facelift to the aging arcade game. Asteroidsis simple enough to pick up and play for a few minutes, yet addictive enough to keep you occupied for hours. Retro arcade fans should put this one on their shortlist. --T. Byrl Baker
Pros:
- Good color support
- Addictive gameplay
- Hidden extras
- Very unforgiving collision detection

GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAT!
The best twenty dollar game everIf you love Animal Crossing, you will like this game. The main character even wears what appears to be a hat from Animal Crossing.
You play as Scooter, or other unlockable charavters, and are trying to save your planet. Your planet's power supplies are running out and to save them he must win the coveted "Super Ribbinite". Compete to become the Frolf Champion across 20 different courses on 5 different worlds. You must defeat all your opponents to win the Frolf Cup and the Super Ribbinite.
The game you play is a variation of golf, but instead of playing for low score, you are playing for points. You have up to ten shots to hit various targets and bonuses and need to sink the frog in the hole by shot ten.
No frogs are harmed in the game. You don't hit the frog. The frogs sit on a little catapult and jump when you activate the catapult. There are a variety of frogs in the game.
I'm a big believer in supporting developers who take chances and make games that are sequels or shooters. Ribbit King also has a very bizarre sense of humor in the cut scenes that made me laugh once or twice. You've wasted twenty bucks on worse things. :-) Buy this game!

My inner child has been damagedThis is Twisted Metal taken to the next level. Graphics on the Xbox are a little granular but gameplay is easy to master and fun. Missions are non-linear, so you can putz around cappin fools before you do some dirty work
Get this game if you want something fresh that will grab you by the poopoo! The best 39.99 I ever spent
BEST XBOX TITLE !!!!The plot mixes Road Warrior and the Stand; a deadly plague has apparently wiped out everyone who wasn't completely insane . You are the lone hero fighting car gangs in the post-apocalyptic southwestern USA. In single player you fight through a plotline revolving around control of paradise city, a fascist empire reminiscent of Las Vegas in the Stand.
The gameplay is twisted metal meets grand theft auto, fighting various enemy gang vehicles and foot soldiers from a variety of vehicles you unlock by completing missions and collecting car parts from secret locations. The cars are progressively faster and upgrades are available to perform cool stunts. Firing from the car with a variety of weapons, you can shoot forward with missiles, machine guns, and a flack cannon , or drop mines and bombs then quickly look back to see the results.
Roadkill appears to be ported from the play station 2 to the xbox, so the graphics are on par with the playstation 2, not up to graphics quality of the newest xbox games for sure
The graphics are cartonishly violent and some of the cut scenes are darkly hilarious, as are the various talk radio stations available on the car radio. My favorite was the takeoff on public radio's Cartalk, where the hosts discuss the pros and cons of the various weapons you can pick up in the game,: informative and entertaining .Midway did a great job in every aspect of Roadkill.
Better than GTA and Twisted MetalThe radio stations and animations between the missions are hilarious and the choice of vehicles you can drive is huge and they respond in a very realistic way.
I rate this game 9/10. It's going to be a big hit.

Great 2 player game, good bargain, but....HOWEVER, if you plan on buying this game for single player and expect it to be as fun...don't bother. It isn't very good as a SP game. This game gets TWO stars as a single player game, as your shooting is set to auto aim, and the shooting is controlled by pressing the A button. The auto-targeting system just aims at the nearest target, which ruins the experience that you get from Player 2 blasting away with a light gun. Starsky and Hutch are a team...and this is exactly the way this game was meant to be played. Single player mode isn't even half the experience.
This game is also compatible with a steering wheel. I'm sure the 2 player experience would be even better with the gun and wheel combined. However, investing in a gun and wheel for this game alone isn't worth it. If you already have a light gun and/or wheel for other games, then definatly pick this game up. Get it used...or new. Even new, it is a great price...but remember...make sure to get this if you have a buddy to team up with(and the light gun is key)
I use the XBOX light gun from innovation technologies and it works great, and the game is compatible with any licensed XBOX light gun.

Fun game, horrible portIts performance is just ridiculous. My computer's specs are way above the system requirements listed on the game's box, yet I can barely play the game most of the time! I have tried everything to boost the software's performance. I've turned off all of the fancy graphics features (I've even turned off display of trees and vegetation, ground textures, etc.). Just to see if the game would run any faster, I've even reinstalled OS 9 (I am running Panther right now) to run the it. Under OS 9, it does perform a little better, but not much. The game would run well for a bit, then it would freeze for a couple of minutes to do calculations before I can get on with the game again.
This is unfortunate, because I really like the game play, but its performance is just not acceptable.
Addictive, inventive SimTropico runs fine on my iBook G3 800 MHz with 640 MB, running Panther. I haven't had to adjust performance or anything.
The game sets you up as President of a small Carribean island, and you have to decide what to build, what to pay your workers, how much to embezzle, within a tight budget. There is a lot of complexity - more than in the Sims, for instance, and I am still exploring all the possible options, after a month of playing with the game. I haven't got into building TV stations, or imprisoning my enemies, for example, as I haven't had to fine tune to that extent.
Tropico is easy to learn, and there are three tutorial games included, which allow you to learn how some of the key parts of the game work. After that, you can either just run the sim as you want, or you can follow one of the 30 or so predefined challenges, where you have to build an airport, or embezzle a certain amount of money, or generate a particular level of tourist revenue, within a given time frame. These challenges are quite difficult, and require you to use all of the functions in the game.
I find it easy to get hooked on a game in the evening, and it's very hard to put the computer aside until I've run through a scenario. The good thing about Tropico is that there are varying levels, so relative novices can run through a game with no problems, but that doesn't mean you get bored, as there are plenty of features to explore at more challenging levels. Definitely a keeper!
If you like the Sims ... you will like Tropico :)
It leaves the game open for a sequel, and the endings are interesting. It has the same interesting complex plot, but the reasons for the puzzles aren't quite as good as in Riven. Many times the excuse is simply security, lessons for Atrus's sons, or naturally occuring in nature. Those are okay, but they could have added a little more.
The graphics are noticeably clearer than Riven, yet sometimes, unlike Riven, some things look like they're drawn out of colored pencils. The acting is good, though Catherine could be improved, and the ages are beautiful, with everything having a part and contributing to the overall age, which often is like a big machine with parts mutually depending on one another. Nice sound.Interesting presentation, with the menu like a book. The journals are realistically written and I love the cute little squees.
The solutions to puzzles are so well hidden, like in Riven, but are startlingly obvious when discovered. You think, "how could you have missed that?"
This game and Riven are my two overall favorites.
