Mega Man Zero
Made by Capcom
Age Group: 6 years and up
    Amazon base price: $29.99
    Used price: $25.45
Buy one from zShops for: $43.92
Fans of Mega Man side scrollers, rejoice--Mega Man Zero has finally come to the GBA. It may be the best Mega Man game designed on any platform, even though it doesn't exactly star Mega Man himself.

Mega Man Zero has basic Mega Man gameplay, though there are some notable differences. Zero can run, jump, dash, shoot, and swing a sword like Mega Man, but now he can also slide down the sides of walls and jump from wall to wall like Jackie Chan. Despite the fancy new moves, be warned: This is probably the most difficult Mega Man game ever made. Zero can't duck, nor can he shoot above or below himself. This makes fighting the many, many enemies difficult--especially when they approach from various angles.

While a side-scrolling action game, Mega Man Zero has definite role-playing game elements. For starters, Zero's skills improve over time. As Zero uses the sword, he will eventually be able to make double--and subsequently triple--attacks. Between missions, Zero can explore the resistance base, talk to people, and "download" various skills via the new Cyber Elf system. There are 70 Cyber Elves scattered throughout the game, and they're broadly lumped into three groups: Nurse Elves that heal, Hacker Elves that alter surroundings, and Animal Elves that boost Zero's abilities. Zero can even feed his Cyber Elves, and increase their power.

In some ways, the graphics of this game surpass the Mega Man games for the PlayStation. There are some outstanding anime cutscenes, the levels are well designed, and the sprites are tight and amazingly detailed. For looks alone, you should buy this game. The sound isn’t as stellar, but adds good ambience. --Bryan Karsh

    Pros:

    • New moves
    • Gorgeous graphics
    • Engaging story (including surprising twist with Mega Man)
    • Cyber Elf system

    Cons:

    • The game is very difficult--you can’t duck, nor can you shoot up or down
    • You no longer absorb skills from defeated bosses
    Average review score:

    Well made! But...
Colorful graphics, fluid animations, and blazing-fast action are all familiar qualities to the Mega Man fan. Mega Man Zero has all these elements, to the point that you may forget you're playing it on a GBA. If I had to make a complaint about this game, it would be based on it's difficulty level. I don't know if it's because my reflexes aren't as sharp as in my Pong days...but I can't get far at all in this game. Most games have a few "intro" levels to help you get comfortable with the gamplay mechanics, but in Zero, they're all over you quick-like.

If this is your first foray into the world of platform games...maybe this isn't the best choice. But if you don't frustrate easily, (and I'm talkin' traffic jams, DMV lines, and Christmas shopping at Wal-Mart on Christmas Eve) give it a try!

A very good MM game...But it's not right...
This is a very cool game I admit it great challenge great graphics yadda yadda but It's not the Blue Bomber!!! Instead it's some secondary character because of his huge fan base STOLE the game (X-series) from the main character and got his own this is unforgivable that Capcom would make the main character look pathetic just so they can hype up their fan favorite. (Tsk obviously money plays a huge role in this.)Look I've seen games where the secondary characters got their own game once in a while but THE MAIN CHARACTER IS THE MAIN CHARACTER!! HOW DARE THEY FORGET THAT! Overall buy this game if your looking for a good challenge or if your a Zero fan otherwise don't bother
    Pros:
    The challenge
    Gameplay/Graphics
A fair storyline (X is the focus for once)
    The Cyber Elves
    Cons:
Overtime raising those little guys becomes tedious

    Mega Man Hero!
To be truthful the Mega Man X series has started to become disappointing. Now capcom is giving us a new Mega Man series... but without Mega Man! How could this possibly work? By putting in one of the most loved characters from the Mega Man X series of course!

For those who don't know (and I certainly hope you do know this!), Zero was first introduced in the very first Mega Man X way back in 1993. He has since become one of the most beloved characters in video games and now he gets a game all to himself.

Mega Man Zero takes place in the same world as Mega Man X only years into the future where X and Zero are reveered as legends. But years have passed and Zero seems out of comission. He's later found by Ciel, who makes him operational again. Now questions arise such as where X might be. Not only that but X is presumed to be evil and up to no good. Now Zero is going to find out.

Mega Man Zero doesn't present any different gameplay for the Mega Man veteran. Its the same 2-D sidescrolling that Mega Man fans have grown up with. But this is NOT an easy game. Mega Man Zero is perhaps one of the hardest GBA games I've ever played... and I'm a Mega Man veteran. You select a level to go to just like past MM games. You battle through each level mauling through enemies until you get to the boss.

The game is a little different than other Mega Man games, however. For example, Zero ONLY gets a Z-Sabre and his arm cannon. He doesn't get abilities from bosses like Mega Man did. But his weapons do level up. For example his arm cannon (called a Z-Buster) begins with only firing one shot at a time. As his weapon levels up he'll be able to fire four shots and even charge up. He also gets different kinds of weapons such as the triple rod or a shield boomerang.

Mega Man Zero also throws in a few other twist. The game now has "Cyber Elfs" which are given to you by defeating certain enemies or you have to find them. There are over 70 Cyber Elves in the game and they give Zero remarkable abilities. Some restore his health... others slow down enemies. The creators also made it so that once you use the Elf, it's gone. This teaches you to use strategy.

That's not all the gameplay offers. The game also throws in some twist with the levels. Not everyone is "go for the goal". Some levels require you to beat it in a certain time, or reach certain objectives. You may also find a wounded ally and have to help him by taking him back to the beginning of a level once you beat the boss. So the game certainly isn't boring.

Mega Man Zero also looks and sounds BRILLIANT! A GRAND looking game, no doubt. For the GBA these graphics are top notch and the music definitely reminds some of Mega Man X. The games looks smooth and just wait 'til you see the detail on the bosses. The game just looks incredible!

The game does have its drawbacks however. The biggest problem is of course that its too hard for younger gamers. This game is NO cakewalk as it will take you the better half of the day to master it. The other problem is that its too short. The game can be completed in a day if you really work at it.

My last gripe is the control scheme. It takes time to get used to the controls for this game considering a HUGE emphasis is put on the shoulder buttons. It takes a moment to get used to (especially if you're playing on your SP since those shoulder buttons are small).

Mega Man Zero is an incredible game to behold. Any fan of the Mega Man X series should pick this up and give it a try, this is a GBA game to own!

    The Good
    +Amazing Graphics
    +Great Sound
+Zero gets his own game now!
    +Improved gameplay
    +Classic Mega Man gaming!

    The Bad
-HARD Game. Newcomers will have LOTS of trouble
    -Too Short
-Control Scheme takes time to get used to

    Madden is still the best.
Madden 2004 is the ultimate football game. Nothing compares in sports simulation. I have played all the fakes( NFL Gameday, NFL Fever, ESPN Football, and NFL Blitz Pro) and none of them have the features that Madden has. NCAA Football 2004 is the best college football sim and it's made by EA Sports. That tells you something. Electronic Arts makes the best games. Madden, NBA Live, NCAA Football, NCAA March Madness, and the rest of the awesome sports games people buy before they are even out. As soon as Madden 2005 is out I am getting it. I have been playing Madden since Madden 64 and it just gets better. The realistic teams and stadiums make it seem like Sunday afternoon in the
LAZ-BOY chair watching Kansas City vs. New England, Cinncinati vs. Cleveland you know what I'm talking about. I just finished playing against my dad. What a game. He was beating my 14 to 0 then I made 26 unanswered points. He got another touchdown. I missed a field goal. He got the ball at the 51 yard line and threw a hail marry to his reciever. His reciever ran to the five yard line where my safety stopped him. He threw two incomplete passes. It was fourth down, fourth quarter with three seconds left. He lined up in the I formation. He snapped the ball and threw it to his reciever. He got the touchdown. It was now 26 to 26. My Chiefs vs. his Vikings. He kicked the field goal and it was good. There was one second left. He kicked the ball to me and I ran and I ran. I got to the 40 yard line. It was over. The Minnesota Vikings beat the Kansas City Chiefs. It was the worst loss I have ever had. And my record is 30 and 4. I could win the Madden Challenge but because of one second I lost. That's why this game is just like a real football game. Every second counts.
So if you like NFL Football get this game. You won't regret it.

    Slow, Plodding, Poor Interface
I just don't see the quality product that everyone on Amazon is gushing about here. My experience with Madden was: frustratingly slow load/save times; confusing key interface on menus, poor menu design and interface; VERY annoying soundtrack filled with one-off; nearly unlistenable; basically idiotic, songs played at 1.5 time (why must every song on a videogame be played at a slightly too-fast speed?); an offseason mode in the Franchise game that takes about half and hour to complete; the graphics seems, to me, to be worse than Madden 2003, at least in terms of player appearance; the "Training Camp" mode takes FOREVER and is really annoying; and the much-touted "Owner Mode" isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

Also, the sheer amount of memory this game requires is a HUGE discouragement. Basically, you have to pay for the game AND another 20-40bucks for storage space.

    This series is seriously overrated.

After all these years still play it
I've been playing madden ever since madden'97. I don't think that's the first but anyways this really is the best football game of all time. This game is better than gameday, ncaa, or any of those games. Blitz has the less breakable rules which is fun but seriously dude, maddens the game. This game, even coaches should play so they can be avoiding stupid decisions. I mean c'mon you could challenge plays, that kicks ass...!!! The funniest thing is making your team and guy and start a franchise. Playing this game online is fun too.. Even though there's not really a challenge out there. (unless you think other wise) you seriously got to get this game dude, seriously. The graphics are sweet, the gameplay is sweet, the whole damn game is sweet. The think that made me give this game 4 stars is the fact that theres really nothing different between this and madden 2003. I mean there's probably a little different thing like the playmaker but really if you play this one and madden 2003 there's really no difference. You'd agree too...but anyways this games great I don't know about buying it but...yeah buy it...

This is the best MLB game of its time
O.k. first off, if you are planning to buy this game, I support you 100% Dont read reviews under 4 stars because they are wrong. MVP Baseball has the best gameplay of its kind. In dynasty mode you have your own E-mail Inbox so you can receive messages about contracts, player happiness, upcoming games and stragegy, suspensions, trade offers, etc. This game is so in-depth that you will never get bored. You can jump up walls to shag a homerun, perform diving catches, sliding catches, jumping catches too. Sliding is different to, u can slide headfirst, feet first, and u can hook slide. You can even charge the mound if you are hit by a pitch by simply pressing Y. You run at the pitcher and hit him then the dug outs charge on the fields. There are new uniforms such as the padres, and blue jays. new pitch types like the circle change, knucklecurve, and slurve. (slider and curveball combo.) All the trades are realistic and updated except A-Rod and Soriano. And the Barry Bonds thing isnt a big problem. He is replaced with a phenomenal hitter names James Dowd. All u have to do is go to Rosters, Edit player, and make him black, #25, and change his name to Barry Bonds. And it runs like NCAA College Football and Madden, u earn points and u can unlock unlockables such as Legendary Players; Babe Ruth, u get the point. Also old uniforms such as The yankees uniforms, red sox.
    Here is a break down
    Graphics- 9.5
    Gameplay- 10.0
    Sound- 10.0
Crowd Detail- 7.5 (the crowd actually have real looking bodies, no more mysterious red and blue blurrs in the stands.)
    New Features

    Pitcher Showdown
You pick a pitcher and pick another pitcher. You pick either 3,6,9, or 12 strikeouts. You pick a lineup to pitch to (the easier the team the mopre strikes.) Whoever reaches the limit first wins. If you walk or give up a homerun u loose points.

    New Pitching Views

New fielding capabilities, Sliding, and Diving, and Robbing Homers.

This game is a big improvement from MVP Baseball 2003. You can actually manually field, and play on Pro without getting killed. You end up having exciting games into long inning games and relying on the bullpen to win u the game.
Remember to change Default Rosters to NO at the dynasty screen or else the players you trade wobnt be on the team. I kept doin it and it got frustrating but then i realized i had to so that lol.

Arguably the Best Baseball Game Ever Made
I just purchased this game for the XBOX and it is amazing. From the graphics to the sound, it's definitely the best there is.

There are some problems, however. No baseball game has Barry Bonds, because he's not in the MLBPA, but they have replaced him with some created character (a white guy) with his same attributes). This ensures that Giants fans at least get to have their star power hitter. Also, Alex Rodriguez still plays for the Rangers in the game. It's an easy fix to change the official rosters to trade him and Soriano, but it's a little annoying.

Other than that, the 120 years of dynasty mode is straight up awesome and is sure to allow for some exciting baseball action well through the baseball season. The addition of the AA and AAA teams add depth and require you to monitor your prospects to ensure that you truly have a "dynasty."

The sound is nice and the game overall is very solid. Highly recommended. This is the game to buy for baseball fans this year. Don't bother with the other games. The online play that other games can offer doesn't hold a candle to the depth of this game.

    MVP Baseball Rocks!!!
By far the best baseball game ever! I'd recommend starting in the dynasty mode on rookie level. As you better yourself with pitching, batting, and fielding jump up to pro. This is where the game gets really good, and as you master pro, go to all-star! I love this baseball game, and I don't think I'll ever have to buy another one for at least 2-3 years :0

    PacMan Collection

If you're still suffering the lingering effects of Pac-Man fever, you'll be excited to hear that Namco's Pac-Man Collection repackages the infectious original with three other Pac-Man-themed games in a new anthology for the Game Boy Advance.

Pac-Man Collection contains the original Pac-Man, plus Pac-Attack, PacMania 3D, and the never-before-seen-out-of-the-arcade Pac-Man Arrangement game. Pac-Man plays like you remember, and like Namco Museums's picture perfect re-creation of Ms. Pac-Man, it features spot-on control, graphics, cartoon cutscenes, sound effects, and, best of all, music from the coin-op (who can forget that opening theme?). As such, it's easily the best of this collection.

PacMania 3D is basically a 3-D version of the original, and is just about as uninspired now as when it came out. Pac-Attack is a cool variation on such puzzlers as Tetris and Columns, and as such it's perfect for handheld gaming. Pac-Man Arrangement is an odd little game that plays much like the original but adds weird power-ups that, for example, make you gigantic.

Because Pac-Man Collection is a perfectly emulated package, there isn't much to gripe about, save that Ms. Pac-Man is a far, far better game than the original, and you'll have to shell out more money if you want that one. But for retro gamers on the go who also want to track down ghosts and eat power pills, this package is sure to sate your hunger. --Andrew S. Bub

      Pros:

      • Perfect graphics and sound
      • Perfect controls
      • Pac-Attack is a fun Tetris variant
      Cons:
      • It's missing the best Pac game, Ms. Pac-Man
      • Pac-Man Arrangement and PacMania 3D aren't really great games

you can never have too much pacman
I really love the Pacman game for GBA than the one I had for my CGB.This Pacman comes with four different games that are equally fun and intriguing to play. One of my favorite games is "Pacman Arrangement," which has a variety of cool mazes and music to go along with it. It also happens to be the only game I can beat! "Pac Attack," my other favorite games,is very similiar to Tetris. The hardest game for me to conquer is the hip, colorful 3D "Pac Mania." The mazes in this game change different themes every two levels and gradually become larger. The cool thing is that PacMan can *jump* over the ghosts- but they can jump too! No matter how many times I try, I can never get past the board with the orange roof, and when I quit my thumb is quite sore...Last, but definetly not least, is the original "PacMan." That's always fun and challenging.

Pac-man lives on as one of the best in retro-gaming...
Ever since I've worked at this summer day camp, Pac-man (along with Ms. Pac Man) were my favorites among their choice of arcade machines in the game rooms. Thus, bringing it back further to my nostalgic Atari days. No buttons; just the turn of a joystick. While the GBA unfortunately lacks that periphal, Pac-Man Collection offers 4 good games ranging in difficulty and strategy.

      Pros:
      - The Classic Pac Man game and the short-lived Pac-Mania
      - A chance for Pac-Mania to shine with superb graphics
      - Passwords for puzzle mode in Pac-Attack, allowing you to continue the last level you completed
-The settings menu. Need more lives? More levels? Feel free to splurge.
      -All the sounds and cut-scenes

      Cons:
-Because of the GBA's shape, the Full Screen and Scroll for Pac-Man aren't too great, since Full Screen shrinks the gamefield down considerably and Scroll only shows half at a time. Pac-Man is best when you can see the whole field in good detail
-Pac-Mania offers too-many-deaths since you can't really see ghosts coming from the bottom of the screen
-Pac-Arrangement is fun but the game ends quickly
-Pac-Attack's Normal Mode is tough; stick with Puzzle Mode

Although I wish the original Pac-Man had more level variety like Ms. Pac Man, this is still a must-have for the retro-gamers who actually played an Atari. Pretty cheap, too. So chop down on a must-have for your GBA!

      Thank you Majesco!
Wow -- What more can you say but PACMAN!!!! I love that little chompy guy. My GBA goes everywhere with me and Im chompign down pellets everywhere I go. Bout time A good pacman compilation came out! Well worth the money if u love pacman or the 80's!!

Super Mario Sunshine GameCube Bundle Pak
      Made by Nintendo
        Amazon base price: $119.99
        List price: $189.99 (that's 37% off!)
This special Nintendo GameCube bundle includes the 3-D adventure game Super Mario Sunshine. In Super Mario Sunshine, players chase a vandal who has been spreading graffiti around an island paradise and framing Mario for the misdeeds. The bundle also includes a Memory Card 59 so you can save your progress through the game.

Though it looks like a toy, don't be fooled: the Nintendo GameCube is a powerful video game console that rightly deserves its place among the other next-generation game systems. In fact, its playful, appealing design and small size (the unit is a not-quite-cubed 6 inches) aren't the only features that set it apart from the others.

For starters, Nintendo has quite clearly made this a game-only machine. It doesn't try to play your CD collection, run your movies, read your e-mail, or store your MP3 files. The company has concentrated its efforts on games. All the prelaunch titles we've seen play smoothly, with bright, fast graphics and great sound. Nintendo says its engineers have removed traditional bottlenecks that have, in the past, slowed down processing. New components designed by IBM and MoSys, as well as a large-capacity secondary memory cache, keep instructions moving through the system's microprocessor (MPU) at peak levels. In English: the GameCube is optimized to push speed up while pushing costs down; hence its position at the lower end of the price spectrum.

The GameCube is the first Nintendo video game system to use a disc-based medium rather than cartridges for its games. Moving the software to disc media generally means lower development costs for the publishers, which, in turn, trickles down to the consumer not only in price, but also in availability and quality, as it's then easier to try out untested game ideas (Pikmin, anyone?). While most other systems likewise have their games stored on discs, the GameCube's 3-inch format is smaller than everyone else's, and is so designed to fit in a shirt pocket as much as to deter would-be software pirates.

Of course, the main advantage of the GameCube is that it's the home field of one of the world's premier game designers: Nintendo. While powerhouses Electronic Arts and Sega make games for all systems (including this one), you can play Nintendo games only on a Nintendo system. And Nintendo, you might recall, has been hitting them out of the park since it started with Donkey Kong. In fact, here's a roll call of characters and series you won't find on the other consoles: Mario, Legend of Zelda, Perfect Dark, Metroid, Kirby, and, of course, Pokémon. A few names that the GameCube will share with the other guys: Madden, Tony Hawk, Sonic, Batman, and Star Wars.

The system also comes with four built-in controller ports, so you can easily plug in extra controllers and let friends join in for the multiplayer games--it's even got a built-in handle so you can easily move it to a friend's house. It comes with two memory card slots for saving your progress through games, and there's the capacity for future expansion into the world of online gaming.

In short, the GameCube isn't an all-in-one entertainment system, and neither is it the most powerful of the modern video game consoles. But for video game enthusiasts who want to stick with their favorite characters, its value cannot be beat. --Porter B. Hall

Mario Sunshine Nintendo GameCube Bundle Review
Absolutely fabulous system. It has great graphics and the game included was very fun. If you can get this system, do so right away. Or if Mario isn't your thing then they have a great Zelda bundle also. Overall great system.

        Cool system
[This review is ONLY for the Gamecube console. For my review of Super Mario Sunshine, check out the item's respective page.]

In late 2001, Nintendo released its latest console - The Gamecube (or GCN.) The new console would be doing battle with the other two big consoles - The Playstation 2, and the XBOX. To this day the battles for sales continue. Read on for pros and cons on this system.

        PROS:
        -Nintendo's first 128-bit system
-More affordable than other next-gen consoles
-Small size makes it easy to transport
-Features the most comfortable controller ever made for any system
-Large variety of games (this ISN'T just a kid's system)
-Can be connected to Game Boy Advance with some games
-Many games are available on this system only
        -More powerful than the PS2
-Nintendo is the most trusted name in gaming
-With an LCD screen (sold separately,) you can make the system portable
-A reliable wireless controller is available

        CONS:
-It uses discs, not cartridges. Discs can't save data, so you need a memory card. Likewise, it doesn't have a hard drive like the XBOX.
-No DVD or CDplayer. These are features considered standard on most modern consoles.
-Variety of games pales in comparison to the PS2
-Not quite as powerful a system as the XBOX
-Only includes one controller, and NO game
-Not enough "anthology" games (collections of games from past Nintendo systems)

Overall this is an excellent systems, but you may want to look the shortcomings over before you make the purchase. Still, Nintendo is the most trusted name in video gaming, and this console, in many ways, shows you why.

The system and the game is awesome!!
Ok, just to let everybody who reads this know, I am NOT a Nintendo freak. In fact I have a PS1 & PS2 also. But anyway this pack is great. You get the system (obviously including 1 controller)[$$] Mario Sunshine which is about ten times better than Luigi's Mansion [$$] and a Gamecube 59 Memory Card [$$] which would normally equal [$$$] dollars for only [$$]. The gamecube system is probably the most criticized of all systems just because it doesn't have a DVD player and has more child-friendly games. But the critics are wrong. If you want a DVD player, buy a DVD player. It's a GAMING SYSTEM not a DVD player. It has outstanding graphics great Nintendo and Sega titles, along with remarkably tiny game disks. As for Mario Sunshine, this game will keep all gaming fans from age 7-77 entertained. Now on to the reason why I only gave this bundle a **** rating. The memory card. This is the one bad apple that spoils the bunch. If you actually play your system then you'll probably get more than 1 game. Well this memory card is EXACTLY like a PS1 memory card. It judges the amount saved by blocks. That's why they call it memory card 59 because it has 59 blocks. Now thats all fine and dandy, but there's only one problem... most games take up more than 59 blocks in 1 SAVE. That's why I suggest with the purchase of this pack you also get either another memory card 59 or the new 251 memory card. Otherwise this is a great deal for a great system. Before I leave you alone I just have to say one thing to you detail nuts out there. WHO CARES WHAT COLOR THE SYSTEM IS. I mean its a good deal who cares if its purple. A color won't change the way the system plays. But anyway I strongly suggest you buy this system. ...

        Awesome!
I loved this game, as well as all my friends loved this game! In fact, everyone I know who ever played this game has love it! Even my one friend, who hasn't read a single Harry Potter book, loved it, as well as my brother, who thinks Harry Potter is the third anti-christ loved it! I would recommened that anyone should buy it, whether you have read or liked the books or not.

It gave me a reason to buy a PS2
The day JK Rowling invented Quidditch for the books, this game was begging to be created. I'm absolutly getting it. I was ready to give up video games when I found out they were making a Quidditch game. This is the game I've been waiting for. Yes, I'm a Harry Potter nut, so the opportunity to play Quidditch was one I could not pass up. And unlike the other Harry Potter games, this one takes you beyond Hogwarts and into the Wizard world with it's favorite sport. I knew it was time to invest in a good system for the game, so I'm finally getting a PS2. I mean how can anyone, especially a Harry Potter fan, pass up the opportunity to play this awesome sport?

A Mix of Basketball, Football & hockey on a Broom!
Playing this game is a real treat! There is nothing better than playing the Magical Pastime of quiditch. It is really amazing because it's like you're in the magical world. This game is one of the most fun things I've ever done, but what's really great is how you can actually go to the World Cup.

Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup is also unique because it is the first Harry Potter game with a Multiplayer option. This is one of the funnest parts about this game. You can battle a freind and crush him. Imagine you playign the Multiplayer Madden 2004, NBA LIVE, and NHL Hockey all rolled into one, in the Air...Pretty Cool, huh?

This game is unlike any sports games ever made, and that's why it will never be topped. Any sports fan, no matter if you like Harry potter or not, will love this game, it's just like a mix of basketball, football and hockey on a broomstick.

        Overview:

Fun-13/10, the multiplayer really gives it an excellent edge.

Gameplay- 11/10 Nice gameplay, and cool to do awesome moves.

Graphics- 10/10 just like watching the Harry Potter Movies

Difficulty-11/10 Starts of Boring when you're playing the Hogwarts teams, but get's progressively harder.

        Overall- 45/40, AMAZING game.

Amazing game, amazingly fun..Buy this great game, there is no sports game comparable to this game...it is very fun, not to metion difficult. BUY THIS GAME!!!

          rent first
Dead to Rights seemed interesting. I had bought Max Payne, Solid Snake, Grand Theft Auto and the Getaway and several other similar games of that genre and wasn't dissappointed. Unfortunatly I can't say the same for this one. It is engrossing, no lying about that, but there wasn't anything that kept my attention. The cut scenes were creativly done, but all you do is shoot, shoot, shoot, fist-fight alittle, die 18 million times and shoot some more; so much so that it left me feeling shell shocked. The ending was a letdown and the game was too short. The mini-games were weak and an unnecessary distraction (pushing buttons for a stripper to dance to distract bouncers? C'mon!) I had expected more challenges from these. The slow-motion diving was useless, too. I only used it twice in the game because you can still get shot while doing it and it's hard as hell to aim at enemies. I say before plopping down 50 dollars for it, RENT IT FIRST or wait until it goes on sale for 20 bucks(like I did).

          Gets a little repetetive
This is ausome at what it does. If you liked Max Payne you'll love this. You get to shoot whilst holding a weapon in each hand, slow mo dives, you can use your dog to charge at your enemies. There's some great hand to hand combat with disarming(getting gun of enemy)an enemy being the best. Push something like square and circle you'll automaticly do an ausome move.

There's the odd mini game such as dissarming bombs, pick locking and there's a Metal Gear like torture scene.

Adult film noir meets Matrix action
The Matrix meets the PS2 with Dead to Rights. You can use slow motion dives, peeking around corners, and your trusty german shepherd sidekick to take on the bad guys.

Slate and his dog, Shadow, are full film noir heroes, with the quiet 'gritty street' asides and the killing of the father in the first intro training sequence. You're a cop after those murderers, no matter what it takes.

The gameplay is full first person shooter, a la Splinter Cell and other related games. You peek around corners, sic your dog on them, and even guide your dog through pipes and obstacles to help you out. You move from mission to mission, working your way towards your objective.

There are mini-games in there as well to test your button mashing skills. Unforuntately the very first one is to have a stripper dance around a pole to distract the bouncers. That's a pretty clear indication that the game isn't meant for those under 18.

The gunfighting gives options for slo-mo scenes, with you diving and shooting people as you go. An adrenaline gauge tracks how many of these you can do. When you get into hand-to-hand combat, you can use combinations of kicks, punches and more to take out your opponents. So the game turns into a full fledged 3D fighting game.

The areas you play in are well done - not perhaps cutting edge graphics, but still rather complex. The strip club, for example, has a variety of lighting and the marble floors reflect them all quite accurately. You have a variety of weapons to use and puzzles to sort through. None are incredibly hard if you've gamed at all before, but all pose a challenge to think through.

Recommended for an adult gamer who likes the Vice City and Fighting games.

Jedi knights two jedi outcast for gamecube good or bad
            Levels and Graphics

Well for the Xbox i'v heard it's pretty good but for the gamecube it's the worst. I'v seen some of the greatest star wars games ever but Lucasarts didn't try real hard on the gamecube. Their faces look blurry and it probably doesn't have nearly as many weapons lightsaber moves, and force powers as the Xbox has. It doesn't have anything near the graphics they could have made it have.

            Voices and shound

I have to say that their voices are very good and sound like the actual people in the movie. Their sound is great but playing the game is horrible and it stinks.

            Levels

Well as Kyle Katarn you go through i'm gonna say maybe a little over twenty levels plus a bonus level of boring combat. I mean it's too repetive. Before you have your lightsaber you shoot guys hit a switch shoot guys shoot more guys move around a bit and so on and so on. WHen your shooting a guy you really just stand in front of him and shoot theres no moving around except for when they run but then you can just shoot them in the back. WHen your fighting with a lightsaber you don't have any moves like in the movies or anything. GET THIS GAME ANY YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

            The best game ever...
This game is extremely addicting and fun. Not only can you be a guy with a goatee, laser-gun and a light-saber but you can also use force powers like push, mind-trick, lightning and best of all, CHOKE!!! The game brings you along a bunch of worlds like Kashyyk and Bespin and a variety of terrain like swamps and mountain outposts. You also get to meet many species like the Rodian, Reborn, and Stormtroopers. You get to meet Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, and Tavion. (Too bad not Yoda *sigh*) In 2-player mode you get to duel a friend or play capture the flag. Also a big thing: you get to fight light-sabe wielding opponents. I really, really, really recomend this game!!!!!
            Plus it's only $24!!!!!!!!!!!

            THE BEST!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS THE BEST GAMECUBE GAME EVER!! I have the computer version and it has great internet play but the gamecube version has 2 player called jedi arena (has things like free for all, duel, jedi master and capture the flag) so you and a friend can play. It also has bots so its like playing online with 12 people exept cooler because a friend can play!! but thats not all you can play jedi arena with 1 player!!!!!! it also has singhe player levels! this game is a great! worth the money!!

PS: this game takes up 24 blocks for each game save you should get one or two 251 memory cards so you can save without trouble.

EA's Madden NFL 2003 maintains the series' status as one of the most engaging game franchises ever. This perennial favorite has updated everything from the spanking new venues (including the Seattle Seahawks Stadium) to the ability to now list pre-existing injuries to current players. If you haven't played previous versions, learning all the controls can be a daunting task. You can control everything from calling audibles to throwing a touch or bullet pass--all while the play clock runs down. But half the fun of this game is in the level of detail you can control, including off-season drafts and free-agent signings, game time, weather, and sensitivity to penalties. Madden NFL 2003 has taken video sports gameplay beyond the action on the field--although the gameplay is seamless and the graphics are impressive on the Xbox. They've created a world where you are equally the owner, general manager, coach, and player. The time and attention you must dedicate to creating your team, along with superbly realistic gameplay and sportscasting, immerse you in your team's fate, making the action all the more compelling. --Sung Nicholas Kim

              DO NOT BUY THIS GAME....YET
              Reasons:
Wait for about 2 years until the AI is true to NFL gameplay

              1. Uneven AI--- no matter the team, QB, etc...I used franchise mode to build a team with Mc Nabb at QBMcFarland at DT Ray Lewis at LB, Faulk at RB, Robinson, Galloway and Hines Ward as WR's...droped passes galore, missed tackles

              2. Flat passess no matter how you release the ball--an LB will intercept a pass 10 yards before its intended receiver

              3. You have to go in the game and manually adjust the AI to be more realistic...check the internet, people have actuall come up with what are more "true NFL" settings

              4. You have to use the Madden cheat cards to try to even the matchups

5.Computer will make you throw INT's or fumble to keep game score down between 14 to 28 points

you will break the game in two...I have ruined two...when you use instant replay to see your all-pro turned idiot DB's blow coverage, balls go right through hands, fumbilits when the computer is lossing

Second Best on Xbox to NFL Fever 2003
I am a die hard football fan first and a gamer second. I bought Madden 2003 and NFL Fever 2003 and played them side by side for a week, and Madden has gone back to the store! There is NO comparison to the realistic look and feel of NFL Fever compared to Madden. Sure, EA may have put more features like drills and cards to collect etc. but I bought this to actually play a football game, and NFL Fever allows you to do just that with better graphics and more realism! Not having owned any previous version of either, I gave both an equal amount of time, and even invited several friends to try both and NONE of them chose Madden after playing both. If you own an Xbox, there really is no better choice than NFL Fever 2003, sorry all of you with Sony or Nintendo, you have to settle for second best!

              Same strengths, same flaws
Another year, another Madden. One really can't go wrong this year, as both Sega and EA sports have put out 2 great games. Here is my take on Madden:

PROS: Very deep gameplay, multiple modes (great new Mini-camp option lets you work on specific aspects of football), realistic football simulation. Graphics are quite good, although a good bit of clipping happens, especially during replays. Game sounds are pretty good, too. Overall, a lot of fun.

CONS: Computer can still pick you apart with the passing game. QB's are hard to sack, even with the best D-line you can have, and average receivers will routinely make spectacular grabs while triple covered by pro bowl defensive backs. CPU clock management is better, but the computer will still call a play and line up with only 2 seconds to go before the 2 mnts warning. The control is good, but a bit jerky and unrealistic when tackling. The voice commentary gets old FAST. The good folks at EASports recycled at least half of Madden's "unique" sayings from last year's game, which is ... cheesy.

Overall the positives outweigh the negatives, but I just wish someone could get pass coverage right for a change...

              An almost flaw-less collection!
Of all the Mega Man games nothing beats the classic series, and the collection has all eight classic games on one disk. Two unreleased arcade games are also included. All eight games are almost perfect ports of the NES, SNES, and playstation games. The only parts that have been changed are the control setup (B is now jump, A is fire, X is rapid fire, and Y is slide)and the addition of the Navi mode which alerts you of danger, displays your health and special weapons, and it turns on new music in the playstation2 version. Overall the Mega Man Anniversary Collection is a great buy at only $29.99.

P.S. This game is actually rated E for Everyone, not Teen like it is displayed on this webesite.

              THIS GAME ROCKS
I've only owned 3 since this came out Megaman games(Megaman Legends,Megaman8,and Megaman battle network 3.) And I go on amazon and here it comes, in front of my eyes! GRAPHICS8/10 My aunt owned a NES and let me play megaman and everything looks the same.Still the 8-bit megaman. SOUND9/10 The sound is great except in Megaman8. They changed it all from the PS1 version. FUN10/10 This game is great fun and I recommend it to any megaman fan. (Megaman power battle rocks on high!!!!!!!) I finally figured out how to unlock it but I'm keeping it a secret. CONTROLS10/10 I know Capcom switched the controls and it took a little practice, but don't let that stop you from playing.(Everybody, STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CONTROLS!!!!!!!!!Thank you.) This is a very great game and if you missed out on megaman, buy it now! Thanks, Capcom!Thank you for everything!

Old school gaming has never looked or played so good !
I've waited for Capcom to do something special for Mega Man's 15th Anniversary, and finally it happened. For the first time ever, Capcom has released a collection of the classic Mega Man titles. Although the entire X series are not included in this collection, Mega Man Anniversary Collection, is every Mega Man fan's dream come true.

In this collection, you get the following:

              Mega Man (NES)
              Mega Man 2 (NES)
              Mega Man 3 (NES)
              Mega Man 4 (NES)
              Mega Man 5 (NES)
              Mega Man 6 (NES)
              Mega Man 7 (SNES)
              Mega Man 8 (PSX)
Mega Man: The Power Battle (Arcade)
Mega Man: The Power Fighters (Arcade)

Sadly, the two arcade games are unlockable. But I'm not gonna take one star down because of that.

              GRAPHICS:

If you've seen the graphics on all the Mega Man games, then that's exactly how they'll look like. No changes, no overhauls...just pure original vintage graphics. The only difference is that theres no slowdown or any errors like on the original NES carts. Capcom did a great job fixing all those slowdowns and errors.

              AUDIO:

Once again...the same thing ! However I dislike the voice acting in Mega Man 8. That's the only thing that annoys me.

              CONTROLS:

All the Mega Man games play exactly the same way as they should be. The only real change is that "B" is jump and "A" is fire. Plus the "Y" button enables you to do rapid fire. Now I've read a few reviews saying that the controls bite, and in result, they gave it one star. I have to disagree with them. The controls are actually pretty good, once you get the hang of it. And the slight changes are nothing to get mad about. At first, I didn't like the controls. But after a few minutes, I got used to it. These controls are actually pretty good.

              GAMEPLAY/VARIETY:

You get to do more than just play all the Mega Man games. You can also unlock a gripload of extras, such as remixed music inspired by the series, the two Mega Man arcade games, picture galleries, and lots lots more. Although it's kinda frustrating to try to unlock the arcade games (I'm guessing you have to beat all eight of the games to get them), it's always good to play through all the games...well in my opinion at least.

              FINAL OPINION:

I don't care what other people say about this collection. This is far by one of the best compilations I have ever owned ! Finally I get to play all Mega Man games without going through the trouble of buying a good conditioned NES and all the games, which is probably a LOT of money. You get all these games for $29.99...sweet deal ! This is a good way to celebrate Mega Man's 15th anniversary. Old school all the way !
