The BEST Virtual Video Game EVER!
Time Crisis 3 is the BEST virtual video game I have EVER played! It makes me feel like I'm actually the person shooting. It comes with one of the best light guns ever, called GunCon2, which is very easy to hook up. It's a challenging game that tests your first-person shooting skills. There are 3 different game modes. The 1st one is Arcade Mode, which is the mode that is available at the beginning at the game. You play as Alan Dunaway or Wesley Lambert (Depending on which USB Port you plugged the GunCon2 into your Playstation 2). The 2nd game mode is Rescue Mission Mode, where you play as Alicia Winston. The objective is the same. You just play from a different perspective and the missions are a little different. The last game mode is Crisis Mission Mode, which is training missions where you must fulfill a certain objective, such as defeating a certain amount of enemies or scoring a certain amount of points. You can also change the difficulty setting for every mode except Crisis.

Best gun game ever with guncon2!
The gameplay is ossum. Many unique opponents come out including bonus givers, machine gunners and other cool infantry. The best thing of the game is the new "Weapon Select" system. The other former games only had handgun, but now there are machine guns, shotguns, grenade launchers and many other unique weapons. The new Alicia scenario solves the mysteries that were not solved in the arcade mode. There are two new things about Alicia scenario. First, is the sniper rifle. You can only use this gun in special missions. Second, the weapon level. Every time you shoot an enemy, the gauge goes up and when the gauge is full, you level up. If you level up, your weapon's maximum capacity, range and power goes up. For example maching gun1 only shoots 4 bulets at a time and has Max 100 bullets. Machine gun2 shoots 7 at a time and has around 130 and Machine gun 3 shoots unlimited until you run out of the clip Max is about 150-170. Shotgun has increased power and range. For example, Shot Gun1 shoots 3 areas and has 20 bullets at its max. Shot gun 2 shoots 4 areas and has 24 bullets and so on. The maximum level you can get to for all weapons is level 5. The handgun and sniper rifle doesn't have the level system. You also get another full clip of ammo if you level up. The graphics are pretty dissapointing. It is barely better than Time Crisis 2. You should have a Guncon2 since it is hard to enjoy this game with a Dualshock controller.

Final rating:
Gameplay 5/5
This is what saved the game. The gameplay is ossum and the weapon select system makes you forget about the graphics for a while. You are simply "absorbed" into the game.

Graphics 2/5
This killed the game. The graphics are no better than fifa 2000(1999). Now you get how bad the graphics are. But the weapon select and the fun lets you "forget" about the bad graphics.

Sound 4/5
The sound effects are cool although when your bullet hits the metal, the sound can be pretty annoying. Well, there's almost never much to write about sound.

Movies 4/5
This is about the only part that has good graphics. This part is quite fun to watch and makes you understand the game better. I say you should watch the all movies throughout the game, since it has good graphics.

1-player light gun heaven, 2-players sux
Wow!!! what a game...This has to be one of the best light gun games out there! Nothing to complain about except for one flaw...the MULTIPLAYER MODE!!! If you have "only" 1 PS2 (which is how many most normal people have) when you try to play 2 players...the screen splits in half and you can barely see anything...i know this happens in time crisis II also..but damn...they should fix this...This problem does not occur when you have 2 copies of the game and 2 PS2s plus an iLink but who the heck has all the cash to buy $200+ more just to enjoy one game in multiplayer mode? But besides this, the one player mode is tight and the extra rescue mission mode is awesome as well!!!

It's an action game with adventure gameplay elements, such as hot shooting action and platform-style challenges. Nonlinear exploration of spectacular and surreal environments and the varied pacing of the interactive story line make for a truly immersive gaming experience.

    Fun Game, Controls are terrible
I enjoyed playing this game, the only draw back is the the controls!! I got so frustrated trying to get the character to move left, right etc. Whoever thought up these controls for this game sure did a BooBoo!! It's not like most games I have played where you move the joy stick and the character moves up or down, left to right, NO you basically have to stop her then turn her left to right, up, down, these controls are LOUSY. The story line is fantastic and it has beautiful scenery. Once you get the hang of moving her around its not bad. Good Luck.

    The Best Playstation Game Ever?
You bet it is! I loved playing this game. It was awesome! The gameplay was great. You could play as Vikki, herself, or Vikki with Leo, just Leo, or Vikki riding Leo. This game is full of non-stop adventure and action. It has a great story line that gets you involved. I found myself playing for at least 5 hours at a time. The music was good like everything else about this game. The levels were fun to play and my favorite world was The Prehistoric World. The dinosaurs were awesome. There is also a very cool two player mode. You can play in six diff. levels from the game. I heard other magazines gave this game really good reviews. I can believe it!! This PS2 game was well worth the money! Buy it now and you won't regret it!!!

One of the best games I've played.
I'm a gamer. I had so much fun playing this game that the kids wanted me to buy them a copy. Most everyone in the house, plus other people I know, from age 5 to 46, has played this game and loved it. I love the graphics, music, and gameplay. Now I'm looking for other Army Men games. I hope they make a sequel to this one.

I'm 46 years old and there are a few games I play over and over again; this is one of them. You play as Vikki, Vikki with Leo the lion, Vikki riding Leo, and just Leo. I love the gameplay variation, the beautiful levels, interesting puzzles, spansive adventure, and shooting action. Vikki can shoot in first-person or third-person mode. She can often auto-aim at times when it's really needed (especially helpful in the tree area). Locating all the gems adds extra replay value. All in all, I really love this game. No downside. And I still play it. I play many games over and over again: Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Tomb Raider, Devil May Cry, Drakan, Soul Reaver and more. So I have varied taste. Try this one. I give it a 6 out of 5.

Good game, great graphics, short win time
Just got the game and gun and within 2 hours had beat the game! I'm not sure that is how the developers had intended it to be, but let me give you a little insight as to why the game is so "short" as people indicate here.

Let's say by chance you are using a Mad Catz Blaster gun. And let's say you are using "burst" mode and auto reload. Now, you are virtually unstoppable. I'm pretty sure SEGA made this game without the intent of people blowing through it with burst on all of the time. For those of you who don't know, burst mode fires all of your rounds at one time with only a single pull of the trigger. That in and of itself, takes away from the skill it takes to win the game.

I'm an old Dreamcast owner and had the Japanese version of HOTD2, and frankly, I was more pleased with that game. So I'm glad it is included when you beat HOTD3.

For everyone that says the game is too short, play it with a gun that won't allow burst modes etc to make it more challenging. Although, it does only have 5 Chapters in the game.

Otherwise, the graphics are just great as most games are on the Xbox. It will entertain you for about 2-3 hours then you can move on to the HOTD2 for a longer enjoyment.

      Zombie Blasting Fun!!
I bought this game the day it came out, and man, it is awesome! First off, this is a light-gun game, meaning that you can use a light-gun peripheral to play it. This game is pure fun from the get go. I highly recommend you get the light-gun along with this game which is the Mad Catz Blaster and is the only light gun currently available for X-Box. The game has the best graphics I have ever seen in a light-gun game. I own Time Crisis 2, Vampire Night, and Endgame on PS2 and have seen/played Dino Stalker and Ninja Assault so I've been there. The graphics are phenomenal. This time around the characters are equipped with a shotgun, so when you shoot you get a wider blast. If you use the light-gun you can reload by shooting off-screen or pressing the button on the grip of the gun, or it will reload for you once you run out of ammo. The gameplay is fast, intense, and the story follows the previous two installments. Another great thing about this game is that it is really two games in one. Once you beat the game you can unlock and enable the complete and full Dreamcast version of "The House of the Dead 2" it is the exact same thing as the Dreamcast version and contains all the same modes (a direct port of the Dremacast version, so no X-Box enhanced graphics), but hey, you get a bonus game in this package, two full shooting games in one, you can't beat that. Some people complain that the game is too short, well the inclusion of House of the Dead 2 more than makes up for this. I think the lenght of the game could have been a bit longer, but it is a light-gun game and you have to keep in mind that people get tired of holding the gun and what not so a 1 or 2 hour light-gun game would not be the best idea. This game is pure fun from the get go. It is a must have for light-gun game aficionados and fans of zombie movies, you get the best of both worlds. Oh yeah, the game also includes a 15 minute feature of the upcoming House of hte Dead motion picture which hits theaters in 2003, this is another great bonus that comes with the game. House of the Dead 3 includes two modes, Survival (the main mode), and Time Attack. House of the Dead 2 has Arcade, Original, Boss Mode, and Training Mode. You can adjust the difficulty for both games and increase or decrease the number of lives and continues to suit your taste. This game is excellent, I have not played it with the controller so I can't help you there, but it works great with the gun. If you love zombie flicks, video games, shooting games, and having a blast then you owe it to yourself to get this game. I highly recommend the gun (Mad Catz Blaster) it works great with the game, accurate, comfortable, and gets the job done. I got to go now, going to blast some more zombies!!!
**PLEASE let me know if my review was at all helpful-thanx

      Fun
People think this game is short. Thats because its an arcade game. People whould not put out a game for an arcade thats 12 hours. You pay 25 cents and get a few minutes of fun. but now its availibal for xbox. Don't judge on length. It's got A+ graphics and supports the light gun. It's good

Boring and a waste of money.
Not much more to say except that this game wasn't worth the ten dollars I spent on it when I purchased it used. Though there is somewhat of a story line, the game is boring. It's one of those that you wished you had borrowed first before you purchased it.

I think the only thing that this game would be useful for is to use the disc as a coaster on an end table.

        Bottom line: F

        Smuggler's fun
At its core, the game is bout after bout of vehicular capture-the-flag, but adds a flare of racing and combat in for good measure, also. Sounds exciting? Well, being played alone, it isn't. And yet... the developers were quite obsessed with the mission mode and left little to be opened up in the 4-player options. That's a shame, too, because, though the multiplayer mode feels somewhat "tacked on," it is here where Smuggler's Run really shines. Despite some rendering and control issues, if you have friends -- even just one -- and a hankering to drive recklessly, this game can be a lot of fun.

        ya
I bought this game yesterday and I thought it was alot of fun. I played it all night. What u do is u have to pick up all these different things and take them to a certain base. But police are after u and there r other players trying to get your loot sometimes. U just ram right into them and u get ur loot back. And there is also a joyriding thing on it where u can just drive around all u want and explore the territory, similar to Midnight club except ur not in a city. bottom line, A.

          Pretty Fun
I think this is one of the better GBA games but the graphics are kind of bad.I still think this is a very exciting game and the missions are cool.Overall I think this game is pretty good.

          Driver 2 Advanced
Driver 2 advance is 80% similar to the PS1 version. It have the 2 instead of the 4 cities, Chicago and Rio. The area size isn't as big but it's a Game Boy, not enough power, but that's alright. The thing I don't like is when you turn the car, the it's a sharp turn not very smooth, and you don't have the options to turn it off. Also, the sound gets stuck and you have to turn it off. The thing that's great is the loading time when you drive down the street, in Driver for the PS1, you could only see maybe 50 feet down the street but on this one, you can see all the way down, it's amazing.

          Graphics: 4/5.
          Sound: 3/5.
          Music: 2/5.
          Difficulty: 3/5
          Game play: 3/5.
Area size of the cities: 3/5.
          Control: 3/5.
          Fun: 4/5.
          Colors: 3/5.
          Frustration: 3/5.
Chances of being bored with the game: 2/5.

          Astonishing
It is simply astonishing how closely Driver 2 Advance plays to the Playstation version of Driver 2. First thing you'll notice are the great 3-D graphics and smooth controls. You get to steal any car you can find in order to proceed on your mission and you go through the cities of Chicago and Rio de Janero in Brazil (fans of the PS version will notice that the Havana and Vegas locations are missing) and the cities are fairly large, and the best part is you can pretty go anywhere in the city while fulfilling one of the missions. The simplicity of Driver 2 Advance is also a breeze and a lot of fun. This is how to port a great game to the GBA, the developers at Sennari far succeeded my expectations (I thought the game would be godawful) and have created one of the best GBA titles available right now. All in all, Driver 2 Advance is a great, fun game that GBA owners should definitely check out. I only hope the upcoming GBA port of Grand Theft Auto 3 follows the same blueprint that Driver 2 does.

          I Loved It!
My daughters are 6 and 5 and they love this game. They love switching from SpongeBob to Patrick to Sandy. There are many missions and they look forward to earning golden spatulas. My seven year old will not leave this game alone. She likes this game more than watching cartoons. The only draw back is that it is only one player. However, the graphics are great and I actually enjoy watching her play.

OHHHHhH, who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
I wouldn't normally review a childrens game, but this is one of the best platformers ever! Now, I don't play too many games for kids, but I like Spongebob. He is always sooo happy. As proof that I don't play kids games, the latest game I've bought is Serious Sam, and I have been playing Halo for at least a year now.

The few things that hit me the wrong way were pretty serious. Firstly, Mermaid Man was not played by the same guy who does him usually and so was Mr. Krabs. That saddened me. Another thing was that it was just really easy up until I hit 50 or so golden spatulas. It was aggravating to me as a gamer, and probably all of the kids who bought this that it got so hard. You have to be anally punctual on every single jump, and I soon found myself cursing up a storm. For more cursing watch me play Mario Party....

          BeST GaMe EveR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when i got this game for christmas i couldnt put it down i got other games to but for that whole day this is wjat i played if you like the show then you'll like the game ok so the graphics arent the best but comeon there is so many places how can you get them all perfect there is a lot of characters from the show and you can be 3 diffrent people SpongeBob Patrick and Sandy all with there own special talents and this game doesnt get boring because there is alwaysa something new to find somewhere this is the best game i have the only bad thing is its 1 player they could have done like a capture the flag thing and you pick your character out of the whole town like mr. krabs squirward Larry plankton mrs. puff and a bunch of others but this game is still the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          I stand corrected.
I had previously written a review of this product that basically trashed it. Well I've got to eat my crow now. On an urge I purchased another one in the hopes that I may have just gotten a bad cable previously. Well, I was surprised to find out that I had been setting the cable up improperly.

At this price I give the Monster cable 4 stars for value and performance. I've played movies and games and I've loved every minute of it. Not only do you hear your games in Dolby Digital or DTS but the clarity is such that you'll often hear things that you won't hear from standard analog audio.

My only complaint is that for those like myself who are not familier with fiber optic cables Monster does not inform you that when connecting it to your xbox or your receiver that you should take the clear plastic off of the ends of the cable before you attempt to hook them up otherwise the reciever will not recieve the digital signal. Also if your Receiver has multiple digital outlets you may have to manually direct your reciever to recognize the connection. I was so impressed that I went out and bought a set of cables for my PS2.

          Works Amazing!
I bought this cable before reading all the reviews. Once I read them I became nervous that I was going to have many problems with it. What I found out when I got it is that most of the people who gave it bad reviews either didn't have an understanding of how it is supposed to be used, or didn't install it correctly. Maybe I'm wrong and there really was a bad batch of cables going around but here is some information that will help you avoid any problems with it.

*Take off the clear plastic caps on both ends (If you don't you won't be able to get 5.1 surround).
*Make sure everything is securly fastened.
*Turn Dolby Digital and DTS on in the audio options menu of the Xbox.
*When your Xbox is on with no game in it, it dosen't put out 5.1 even with the cable. So if you turn on your xbox once you've hooked the cable up and your reciver says its only going through 2 channels, don't panic, its supposed to do that.
*Most importantly many xbox games don't support dolby digital (5.1). Infact most don't, and it is impossible to get 5.1 surround out of a game that dosen't support it. So check the back of the game where its says the number of players and xbox live info. If a green box says "In Game Dolby Digital" you will get 5.1 surround with this cable. If not, you will only get 2 channels and a sub. So check the game first.
*May not be vital, but unplug your RCA audio from your tv or your reciver before you hook this up.

I hope this information helps. Don't let the few bad reviews scare you from buying this. If used correctly it will give you amazing sound. It is truly worth the money.

These do not work with some Gamelink 200 X
Don't buy these for the Gamelink 200 X, chances are that it won't work like it should.

I've had my Gamelink 200 X cables for around 2 years. I happen to buy a 5.1 system, so I decided to buy the Lightwave 100 X toslink cable from Monster Cable.

When I set everthing up and turned on my XBOX, I went to the audio settings only to find out that my Gamlink 200 X and Lightwave 100 X didn't unlock the Dolby Digital/DTS menu. I still only saw the "Mono, Stereo, Dolby Surrond" menu. Therefore, it only transmites the signal as PCM Stereo, and not Dolby Digital or DTS.

I contacted Timothy Pryde from Monster Cable to see if he could send me a replacement 200 X cable. He did, and that cable didn't work either. So I contacted him again, and he sent me another 200 X cable, that one didn't work either to my surprise.

After trying the second he sent, I just gave up, and asked him if he could just send me a Monster Video cable, so I could just buy Microsoft's Advanced AV pack. He said that was just fine.

Right now I'm waiting for a UPS slip to be e-mailed to me so I can send back the two cables he sent me. And when he recieves the cables, he said he will send me the Monster video cable.

He was really helpful, and all in all, I'm very happy with the outcome; he let me keep my Gamelink 200 X incase I need to use my XBOX with a TV set/system that doesn't have an optical input. And he said he was going to thurougly test the Gamelink 200 X cables to see what's the problem. He said he wasn't aware of this problem, and mentioned it as being "weird".

I gave the Lightwave 100 X 5 stars because it is a solid cable that works when used without the Gamelink 200 X.

Hopefully Monster Cable will find the problem and ship out newly modeled Gamelink 200 X cables.

Set in the year 2008, Ghost Recon is a Tom Clancy-inspired war game that puts you in command of a Special Forces unit pitted against Russian ultranationalists trying to rebuild the former Soviet Union. Although the story arc is grand in scale (in keeping with Clancy's style), the game doesn't involve you in the war's major battles. You'll actually spend most of your time behind enemy lines--rescuing downed fighter pilots, knocking out enemy patrols, ambushing armor columns.

You control a six-man squad, divided into two teams, and you have the opportunity to handpick your squad members (and their equipment) after each mission briefing. You can switch your point of view to any of the six active soldiers--the soldier you control automatically becomes the leader of his team, while the other team operates according to orders you give via a map interface. Thus, you can move one team into a covering position, leave them with orders to provide cover fire, and then lead the other team in to reach your objective. Or, break up your squad and try to achieve two objectives simultaneously.

The level of detail and realism is incredible, right down to the way the soldiers communicate in hushed tones and with gestures. The complexity of the game requires an elaborate controller setup that takes a while to get used to (luckily there are plenty of training missions designed to help you learn the multitude of movement, weapons, and command functions). Once you get the hang of it, you'll find it's worth the time spent in boot camp. --Maile Bohlmann

            Pros:

            • Incredible graphics and realism
            • Wide array of tactical options integrates strategy into the action
            • Missions are diverse and challenging

            Cons:

            • Controls are complicated, hard to master, and sometimes counterintuitive
            • Dramatic music and "drill sergeant" narration between missions is pretty campy
            • Enemy soldiers sometimes behave too predictably

Note: This review refers to the PlayStation2 version of this game.

            Ghost Glitch
Needless to say I won’t ever purchase another Clancy or Uni Soft game. I found the movements in Ghost Recon to be slow and clumsy and about every fourth play the game will freeze up entirely. The “combat” is unrealistic and the weapon systems wholly inaccurate. Very disappointing, but we live and learn. Peace.

            good game!
I read reviews that said this game was terrible because gamecube did not have online playing for it. Granted playing people online with this type of game would be fun BUT the gamecube version is still great! If you are looking for a really good war game this is it. I like Conflict Desert storm, but this is better...especially for the price! Stealth and Action roled into one, very realistic! You control 2 teams, and able to switch to any player on any team. Have different objectives that teams can complete simultaneously. Graphics are good, and the controls are NOT BAD for the gamecube. The Xbox and PS2 controls are horrible for this game, gamecubes are smooth and easy. Looking for a cheap game that is good, here it is...GHOST RECON!

            Ghost Recon for Gamecube
Overall, this is a great game for anyone who likes tactical shooters. It takes a lot of concentration. The weapons are cool, and the levels are cool, too. Multiplayer is the best part. I haven't done any missions yet. The blood aspect isn't really that graphic, Its just a little red on the ground. The guy doesn't even have bllod on him. This game should have been rated "T", but I'm not going to argue about that.
The snipers have congo camo, like in nam. It's really cool. They have a thermal view, too. If you like the run out and shoot em game, get unreal tournament, not this.

An improvement, but the downloads aren't so great
The 3rd edition of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" is slightly better than the 1st edition. There are more questions, Regis's comments are not as bombastic, and there are some minor graphics improvements. This 3rd edition boasts the ability to download additional questions from the Internet and add them to your game. However, there is one drawback to this. I thought once these additional questions were downloaded and installed, they would be merged with the original 600+ questions that came with the game. Nope. These "question packs", two of which are currently available as I write this, are played seperately. This means if you play a downloaded "question pack", you are asked the same 15 questions every time. That gets old quick.

              Millionaire Comes to Life
In this game, you are in the Millionaire World! If you love Millionaire, buy this game and you will feel like you are on the show.

It's even better than the 2nd edition
This game has it all, not only can you get 600 new questions that are in the game, but you can download new questions from the internet, pretty cool huh because i've play the internet version and i didn't even got to the 32000 dollar level (i got to the 8000 dollar question) i think the questions will be either easy or hard If you do have internet then go to abc.com go to the millonare site and you might see new downloadable questions on the site If you buy the game, i recommend that you first see all the 600 questions then download from the site I don't have game yet but i read the preview in a magazine and i think it's pretty cool now that you won't get the same questions over and over and over To close this review i have just one thing to say: Disney Inter active has sure done it again unlike the 2nd edition the 3rd is even better maybe even more

Best serious racing game on the PS2
After getting fed up with EA's F1 2001 (PS2) game, mostly because of raised expectations playing GT3 (car handling, not graphics- try turning off TCS and ABS), I decided to check out Sony Livepool's attempt, and now I am quite addicted. This is quite a different game than EA's entry, with far more realistic (and predictable) physics, savable car setups, and much better opponent AI.

While this game could certainly be improved in the graphics and sound departments, the gameplay is where this excells. In fact, I expect to log 100's of hours playing this thing- the gameplay is that good. Most people will be turned off by the learning curve, but that is actually where the fun begins. You can really feel yourself pushing the car to its limits, and the setups can really have an effect on how the car handles. If you screw up (and it'll happen quite a lot), it's super easy to just restart. I've heard plenty of complaints about playing the game with the Dual-shock controller, but I have had absolutely no problems with this. I'm sure it's awesome with the force-feedback wheel.

Why is this the best serious racing game on the PS2? GT3 would probably win this hands down if it had better opponent AI, but while it's easily the best driving game, Formula One 2001 offers a far more enjoyable racing experience.

While this game has its flaws, the essentials are there for a wonderful gameplay experience. I can't wait to play the sequel!

Great Value! Gets 5 stars in my book!
If you love F1 you will love this game. Ok, Graphics and Sounds are not as clean as the EA version but it depends on what you are looking for in a F1 Game: The overall Gameplay is closer to the real thing then any other Racing game in terms of all rules & regulations etc. (On the EA version you'll find a Minardi on the Pole position!???!) Forget Arcade here..... Learn the tracks, feel the car in wet and dry, practice and your in, just like the real drivers. Replay is a beauty, view from ANY CAR, from ANY ANGLE! Drivers are agressive and have real character. Menu rocks with real Samples of 18000 rpm! Spectator Mode is cool also. Save your Game almost any time, after the Warm up or after a great Hot lap and race later. Couple bugs found in heavy crashes.... froze on me once! Other than that, nothing but fun or should I say stress.... I give this a 5, I love F1. Perhaps the average Gamer will give this a 3.5 - 4.0. but I can recommend this to any real F1 fan.

                REAL DRIVERS ONLY!!
THIS GAME MAY NOT EXCELL IN THE GRAPHICS DEPARTMENT, BUT THE PHYSICS AND SKILL NEEDED TO DRIVE A F-1 CAR ARE REALLY ACCURATE. IT WILL TAKE TIME TO MASTER BUT THAT IS THE FUN PART. IF ONLY IT HAD A CAREER MODE IT WOULD BE THE BEST EVER!
