    Adult Paradise
I am not a child, but this pool brought out the "kid" in me! I was looking for a cheap and practical item to place in backyard for some "tanning," and this was the best deal! Best deal in terms of being spacious! I love it, and I plan to use it often when seeking a site to cool off in my backyard.

Not recommended for more than one adult, of course. It seems like a fun spot for kids too, but you may want to consider a larger pool for the children.

The Aqua pump is not very easy to use and not practical to blow the air into the ring.I recommend using a regular air pump...much faster. That is the only thing that has disappointed me. I spent ten bucks on an battery-operated pump that did not blow up the top ring!

    Not just for Kids
We got stuck in this huge heat wave and our community pool was full of kids. I was looking for a way to cool off and get a nice tan without the hastle so I bought this pool and a cheap $2 floating raft and it works perfect. I have a strict homeowners association and they won't let you buy anything larger. With the cheap raft you sit just enough under the water to keep cool but all the important parts are kept above the water to keep tan. The best part is it makes you feel like you are in a hammock so you can rock and sway in it while listening to the radio. The other best part is you are in the privacy of your own home and in the peace and quite, a nice way to take a quick nap as well. Also one final tip underinflate your ring as it will inflate more in the sun and you don't want it to pop. This will make sure it lasts longer.

Smaller than the 8 feet specified
I am in the process of returning this pool - not because there is any problem with it but because we have determined it is just too darn small. Our deck (fully supported with heavy duty concrete pilings) had an 9 foot 1 inch clearance between the bench at one end and the first step at the other end (11 feet the other way....) So we thought the 10' pool would definitely NOT fit and the 8 foot would be the way to go. Well, it turns out the even at the widest point this pool is noticably less than 8 feet. Its more like 7' 6". (at the widest point) Sounds picky, right? Yeah, but after having our 2 kids play in it for a day we've decided that this 8 foot pool is just too small; the 10 foot is the way to go. And if the 8' is any indication, the 10 foot should fit comfortably. So, if you are deciding between this hard-to-find size of 8' and the 10' pool I would suggest you go with the 10' unless you have hard and fast size limitations.
As a follow-up - the 10 foot pool does fit, albeit tight. It oozes under the bench by about 6 inches. Since the design is made so the sides slope inward, the middle and top portion of the pool does not touch the bench and thus does not create a hazard for the kids playing.

        GREAT for sleepovers!
We live a few hours from family and when we visit, we always sleep on the floor in the living room. I bought 2 of these (one Scooby) for my 6 and 3 year old children because they always had trouble sleeping on the hard floor and we were up all night which left them quite cranky the following day. Since we got these beds, they sleep peacefully through the whole night, I no longer need to lug their pillows or extra blankets. They absolutely love them, which is important. I have caught them jumping like it's a trampoline, but they haven't sprung a leak yet!

The ONLY improvement I would like them to change is the valve. We have a small portable air pump that would make inflation a snap, but their valve doesn't fit any of the pumps out there and I even inquired about an adaptor but they don't offer one so you're left pumping by hand which is a pain.

        Great Idea for nights awy
We love this bed (and so does our daughter!). It is so easy to inflate/deflate. Stores easily in its own carrier along with the pump. I want to get one for my son (not barbie,of course). A great traveling bed for any child!

        Barbie Bed a great item!
I bought this for my five year old daughter, who is a Barbie enthusiast. She absolutely love it. It's a quality toy for the price: the mattress is durable, easy to inflate/deflate, and easy to roll up/store. The sleeping bag is made of warm, soft fabric that washes well. The whole thing rolls up and transports easily to slumber parties, grandma's house, and pretend camping trips. Considering the price and quality of toys overall (especially in the Barbie category), I consider this one of the better values. I also think it would make a great birthday gift. I wish this bed was made in motifs for boys - my three year old son gets a kick out of it too!

Much better than a basic sleeping bag
This is a great investment for a little wiggles fan. The quick air pump works with your hands or sits on the floor for you to press on with your foot. It blows up completely in less than 5 min. It is comfy and sturdy. My 2 yr old and her 3 yr old have even jumped on it with no popping. It zippers up and is fleece like material so it is warm. It also comes with a bag that you sling over your shoulder or store it quickly away - more compact than a regular sleeping bag. Highly recommend!!

A great travel bed for an older toddler!
My husband and I bought this bed for our two year old daughter. We travel often to visit family, and she was outgrowing her pack-n-play. We bought this bed as an alternative. It was very easy to blow up, a hand pump is included but we wound up using a hair dryer set on "cool" to make it even quicker. She loves sleeping on it, and even wants to sleep on it at home! It also comes with a nice bag to store/carry the components in.

my kids love their ready beds
I have 2 of these and my kids love them. They are great to bring when staying at friends for a weekend or sleepovers. One bed holds air very well, the 2nd seems to have a very slow leak which is not a big deal. They have a junior size also which is 67 inches long as compared to the kids size which is 61 inches long.

            Review of Ready Beds
I have 2 children 3 1/2 and 2. At the weekend we took the readybeds (we have 2) to relatives and my husband pumped them up and 3 children jumped all over them for quite a while. At bedtime both my children slept all night in the readybeds (never having done so before) and in the morning they were still well inflated.

Since seeing the readybeds my cousin is now going to buy a Bob the Builder readybed for her 2 year old son for his birthday next week.

I am very impressed with my readybeds and would recommend them to anyone.

FUN, PRACTICAL, PORTABLE - A MUST HAVE!
A great idea. Really easy to use. My daughter loves it and makes sure we take it everywhere. Worlds Apart have thought of everything in developing this innovative product - comfortable, machine washable sleeping compartment with a durable, removable air bed that inflates and deflates really quickly. The pump is included and so is a neat shoulder bag - what more could you want?

              More Trouble Than It's Worth
I also was deceived about how quick set-up was for this pool. We bought ours last year. After filling it up we found out that the ground wasn't as level as we first thought. So we had to drain it and do it again. The sides are quite durable but the thin vinyl on the bottom sucks. After a day or 2 the bottom sprung a leak close to where the tough outside wall liner is and the thin vinyl liner join. We had 2 choices, patch it with glue made for underwater use or drain, dry and the patch and wait 24 hours to refill and try again. We left it up and patched it under water. Apparently the glue softens this very thin vinyl and the whole grew to 2wice it's size. The next morning it was empty. Although the box of glue shows this pool on the outside of it's cover it clearly is not recommened. We returned the pool and got a new one but this year same problem. We had to empty and refill 6 times. Thank goodness I have a well to fill it. Yesterday the seam split and we lost all the water and the pool. The consept isn't too bad but the material can be improved. For a single mother on a fixed income, my children are now dissappointed and I can't afford to buy a new one. Good luck if you decide to try it.

loved the pool, not so sure of the maintanence issues
we bought the 15x42 intex in may2003.unfortunately because the weather gods have been against us,we have only been able to use the pool for 4 days-bummer!we are now having repeated problems with the top ring!! after patching 6 or more holes,we are hoping(in vain?)that we will no longer have to pump it up twice a day.yeah the unlevel ground has been interesting, but not as much of an issue for us as some reviewers.hoping for more "pool days" soon!!!!!!!

              Don't expect them to last...
We purchased an Easy Set Pool last June and were initially thrilled with it. However, after storing it in our dry basement for the winter, the inferior vinyl of the inflatable ring is full of holes. We purchased Easy Set's patch and went througn an entire roll with no luck. Every patch gave once the ring was re-inflated. We have now purchased a far superior glue/patch (Goop) and our pool is full of water and staying that way. Easy Set has only a very limited 90 day warranty. I would not purchase this pool if you hope to use it for more than one year. We're certainly not holding our breath for next year!

Fisher Price Power Pump Fire Engine with 75 Balls
              Made by Moose Mountain
              Age Group: 12 months - 5 years
                Amazon base price: $54.99
                List price: $59.99 (that's 8% off!)
There's nothing like playing with a huge pile of colorful plastic balls: they're perfect for tossing, kicking, pushing around, or hiding underneath. This inflatable fire engine comes with 75 air-filled, soft flex balls. Pour them into the rectangular inflatable toy and it becomes an instant play area for kids. Made of heavy-duty vinyl, this bright red truck can be used inside or outdoors. The sides have round crawl-through holes, and the back area is open, so young firefighters can imagine standing up and hanging on while the driver uses the pretend steering wheel to speed to the rescue. Cool accessories include a red fireman's hat and a plastic yellow pump action "hose" that shoots one plastic ball at a time and can be handheld or attached to the fire engine's side. The balls arrive already inflated but the fire engine does not. A repair patch kit is also included. --Pam Lauer

A lot of fun for my 12-month-old twins
My twins got this for their first birthday and love it! They crawl in and out of the holes and play peek-a-boo with each other. Its a great toy!

Lots of Fun - Less on Quality...
We purchased the fire truck pit for my then 11 month old son for Christmas. It took him a couple of days to adjust to it (it is quite large!) but he soon loved it! I agree with the other comment about not coming with enough balls and the few balls that it does come with easily roll out of the crawl in holes when being used. Our son (and his father) loved playing with the pump ball thrower thingy. They played with it so much that the plastic got weak and broke off at the folds after a couple of mohts. Unfortunatly now after a group playdate with a few other 13 month olds, the side of the firetruck is not holding air. We can not find the hole anywhere either. It was a lot of fun. But now a waste of money after only a few months.

Fisher Price Power Pump Ball Pit
Recently purchased to replace a Moosemountain Choo Choo Train ball pit that was damaged. This one seems very similar although the sides are pretty low and if you have more balls than what it comes with they tend to fall out. Whenever my son enters the ball pit the balls come out of both sides. Overall it is a fun toy for him.

High-Output Air Pump - Double Quick III

File this under "why didn't I think of that." This high-volume pump, designed to inflate any raft you happen upon, forces air both on the upstroke and the down so you actually get your pumping done in half the time. Not only that, just switch the hose connection and it can be used to deflate as well. It comes with three different nozzle attachments so it will fit most valves as well as product information on the side of the box in 12 languages. It's not often the word "cool" comes to mind when describing a pump, but this one fits the bill. -- John Moe

Double Duty Pump, More than one use!
This pump will pump you up! It works beautifully at inflating not only your pool, toys, and balls- but your muscles as well!! It is definitely faster than a single mini pump! If you plan on inflating something large with it- I would say you will either need to tag team someone or be in really good shape. I inflated and Intex pool with it, and by the next day my arms and abs felt it. Love the added extra bo nus of a workout! But for real, it is a great product and came with 3 different filling 'needles' perfect for anything from pools to playgroud balls.

                  a good pump
this pump works well. you get inflation with both the up and down motion. it also has three tips to place on the tube, so it can inflate different sized openings.

by the way, if you are inflating a large item, it provides a pretty good workout on your arms and legs!!

                  Not a very durable pump
I purchased one of these pumps about 1 year ago. I used it to pump up an inflatable ball pit and it worked great. It inflates things quickly due to the output of air on both the up and down strokes. However, after using it only 6-8 times, the inner mechanism was not working properly and when it did still pump, the amount of air being pumped was reduced. Finally, it would not pump air at all. Not a great bargain at over a dollar per use. : (

The pump works, but it is too loud. I suggest ear plugs when using this product. I have a pump which works with a car, but I thought this would be handy for home use. My car pump is not as loud.

We just got the 12x3 Intex pool. Thank you for the tip on using old carpet. So far no problems.. We have only had it for three days. So I'm going to keep my fingers cross!! We have no dogs or cats and I have had the cover on it every night. The kids love it!

                      Summer of Fun!
Wow, I can't believe some of these reviews. For the past two years, we had an Intex pool (smaller than this one). This year, since the kids were getting bigger, we decided on a bigger pool. We learned from the Intex one that the ground needed to be level. It wasn't the previous years and I insisted we do it right this time (there's a one foot difference from one side to the other, we found out). We got a load of sand which, according to the instructions is a no-no. As long as you make the sand base wider than the pool (when it's filled so add a couple feet to the diameter), it's fine. Otherwise, the pool will just flop over the sides. The sand also helps cushion the bottom. Once we got it up and filled (which was not a problem since we'd done this before the past few years), we haven't had any problems. The filter actually seems to be a little stonger than the Intex - although to be fair, the pool is bigger and none of them are as strong as you need. I haven't used the pool vacuum yet but I like the design better than the Intex - that one was a nightmare. For the record, the sides have not caved for us yet but the Intex one did a couple of times when the kids leaned too hard - you just turn it back up. We've had no leaks and the ladder is fine. Not the strongest but suitable and easy to assemble. Bottom line, for the money, it does a good job, it just takes some patience.
