    Great
Trust me if you get your kids this toy they will love it. I got this scooter and it is the best one that I know of. It has the thick off road tires and trust me it will go off road. I have looked at quite a few scooters and by far this would have to be an all around tough scooter. The statistics clearly say that it goes 16mph beleive me it does it. it also has three lights to show were the battery is. There is red for low yellow for ok and green for good. So I just look down to see when I need to start heading home. And Blade Z .com says it goes 16-18mph if you race a scooter that goes 15mph I Know for a fact you will always win. I have never fallen and I have had one for 2 years!

      Same basic item, cheaper price.
I ordered this scooter for my 6 year old daughter. She had one of those "Switchboards" which was not worth the money I spent on it. This is replacing her barely usable off-road Switchboard. This scooter compares to the "Razor" brand, but is much cheaper. It seems slightly less sturdy than the Razor brand, but for younger children who aren't going to do tricks, that shouldn't matter. I saw this same scooter in-store at Toys R' Us for 4x what the price is here. At this price, there's no way you won't get your money's worth!

        my kids like this toy
We bought these scooters for our girls. They were 6 years old at the time. They have enjoyed them, but my little 2 1/2 year old boy really has a fun time scooting around on them. My 6 year olds don't like that the steering isnt the greatest, but still have lots of fun!

If you buy this for your child then you are making the right decision because this toy will tech your child how gravity works. This toy will also last along time and it will stay in contact. It will stay in contact for awhile because the lego don't break but it might fall apart.

This is the greatest Lego Sports set ever
Not only is easy to put together, which my finger pads appreciate, but there are a ton of different things that you can do with this set. We bought this for my 7 year old during a 4 day cabin vacation, and he literally played with it the entire time.

Finally grey tile spare parts pack
LEGO builders have often asked LEGO company for a bulk pack of (especially grey) tiles, which have all kinds of uses. This is a small set with lots of those in grey and brown, and most other pieces (including the tan baseplate) are of general use as well. Forget about the skateboarder; that's a bonus:-)

              ok
This game looks ok. It is cheaper than the tony hawk games, but I don't think the quality is as good. I'd rather save my money for something that's better made, like tony hawk's pro skater 2. I think there would be more detail than this one. It looks decent, I guess. You decide!

              It's avrage
Tony Hawk Pro Skater was better, and so was the sceond. I don't recomend bying this game for skateboarding fans, I'd rather stick to Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2.

              pretty cool
So-So graphics, cool assortment of tricks that aren't in thps1/2/3 (uh-oh, i feel that people are going to explode for that thps3 crack) and cool characters. The only con, you have to download seperate software to create levels (you heard me).

one of my all time best buys
I bought two of these scooters for my (then) four and six year old children. They are still in use regularly, by my kids as well as neighborhood kids aged from 4 - 12! Although I have since bought them both more expensive and "grown up" scooters, these still get by far the most use. I actually thought when I bought them that at least my 6 year old would soon outgrow it, but for the price I thought it might be worth it. I can't think of any other toy that they still have from 3 years ago that still gets as much use as these do. These have been WELL worth the money.

she enjoyed the design of the switchboard .

                  3 boys love it!
My kids love this! I have 3 boys (6, 7 and 9) and all 3 have enjoyed this very much. They can get a good amount of exercise. This is a "versatile" in that they can ride with others or alone. This switchboard withstands a fair amount of abuse too.

Only negative comments are: 1) My oldest son has long outgrown this, so I think the age range in the toy is incorrect. 2) Switching is not exactly easy for a child, and sometimes not easy for an adult either!

                  Switchboards?
I bought this item for my four year old grandson. I like that it is two active toys in one (& so does he). What I don't like is that as a scooter it is not steerable, esp. for a four year old who hasn't yet learned about shifting his weight on the board to change direction. He most often uses it as a skateboard (or a body-board) on our inclined driveway. It's also large & heavy for him to carry [and he's a rugged kid]. He most often ends up dragging one end on the ground. I probably will not buy another one of these for any of my three other grandchildren.

                  All Terrain Switchboard
                  Made by Fisher-Price
                  Age Group: 5 - 10 years
                    Amazon base price: $
                    List price: $49.99 (that's NaN% off!)
With two different configurations to choose from, the All Terrain Switchboard offers young riders more versatility than your typical scooter or skateboard. The Switchboard is shaped like an oversize skateboard with a built-in handle that can either be popped up or locked down. With the easy-grip handle in the up position the switchboard is a scooter for beginners; fold and lock the handle down and it's an off-road skateboard. The board itself is made of wood, with nonskid treads for extra traction, an extra-wide wheel base (14 inches wide), and rugged off-road wheels. The Switchboard is definitely on the heavy side and may be a little too cumbersome for younger kids, but it trades the extra weight for stability and durability. --Chris Burns

I guess it's okay for _very_ young children...
I bought this product for my daughter for Xmas two years ago. It hasn't got much use because it is difficult to steer on a narrow sidewalk. Even so, the wheels have become very loose on their plastic trucks, and I can't find a way to adjust them! If you're looking for a scooter, skip this and buy another type of scooter. If you're looking for something to train a young child to ride a skateboard, this may be for you. I'd recommend this off-road model as opposed to the one with the regluar skateboard wheels - the off-road wheels can take more abuse and they can handle riding on grass and bumps. Because of its limited speed and steering, I wouldn't recommend this for a child older than 4. Older kids will struggle to keep up with their friends riding regular scooters if they're riding a Switchboard!

                    looking
Thanks to all who wrote in. There were too many "accidents" to be ignored. The wide wheel base and the handle with a locking problem. It is always my luck to buy something and all the things mentioned that could go wrong - DO.

Thank you again for the reviews. I will keep looking.

This is the worst toy ever!
It looks fun in the picture, but there is a major design flaw with this toy - the wheels stick out so far that when the rider tries to go they end up slamming their ankle into the tire. Within 2 minutes of using this toy my son ripped open his ankle. This toy should be recalled. Do not buy it. I would send mine back, but we had already thrown out the packaging.
