    Great!
These are great. My 10-year-old son got a set and has played with them a lot. They are very durable and very strong. Easy to make a lot of designs and encourages creativity. He also got some for his friend's birthday. Good stuff!

Great for the imagination (but not for little children)
These little rods and balls really get your imagination going as you learn what shapes and angles build sturdy structures. I highly recommend this toy for young teens to adults. The only caveat is a big one: these are incredibly powerful magnets, and as such can permanently damage any electronics that have computer chips. (Name one that doesn't, besides your toaster.) Placing just one rod against any kind of display/TV screen will permanently alter its color display, reason enough to keep these out of the hands of young ones. Even so, our family can't get enough of these; we keep ordering more to see what else we can build!

      K'NEX 50 Model Building Set
      Made by K'NEX
      Age Group: 8 - 11 years
        Amazon base price: $49.99
You might never stop building once you get your hands on the 50-model building set from K'NEX. This super value set includes pieces to build over 50 moving machines, creatures, and rides, plus a bonus battery-powered motor to set the models in motion. A 225-page instruction manual features step-by-step instructions for three levels of building: friendly, moderate, and greater, depending on your child’s age and skill level. The color-coded rod-and-connector system and visual instructions make construction simple while teaching hand-eye coordination and planning skills, as kids build everything from a sea turtle to a racing car. The set's sturdy components can also be combined creatively to form unique original structures and designs, and are compatible with other K'NEX systems. When it's time to put them away, all the pieces fit nicely into the 17-by-12-by-6-inch blue plastic box with handle. Requires two AA batteries (not included) to operate the motor. --N. Mered

Most played with toy we own
My 7 year old son got this set for Christmas last year, and with all the toys we have for our 5 kids, this K'nex set gets the most use. He built with it every day for months, and still builds something new about every week with it. He has built about every model in the book and he is getting better at building his own ideas. We've gotten a lot of the models on video tape, and he loves to show his grandparents the new ones. I loved the sea turtle that "walked" across the floor, and he builds amusement park rides and puts little people in them. This thing keeps him busy for hours at a time, and he's getting another tub of them for his birthday. His little brother wants one for his birthday this year. The motor is very cool, and he figures out how to use it with the models that don't call for it. Since Christmas, he has only broken 2 pieces, so I thought that was pretty good. Highly recommended!

        I love K'NEX
I have had a KNEX set for 10 years or so. My daughter has always been envious of mine, and I don't let the kids play with it. She received money for christmas and bought this set. She has had a lot of fun putting together the models, however there are a couple of models in the book that there aren't quite enough pieces to build. If this were the only set in the house, it would be very disappointing to get as far as she did, then have to disassemble and start with another project.

        Lincoln Logs Grizzly Canyon
        Made by K'NEX
        Age Group: 36 months - 7 years
          Amazon base price: $16.99
The Grizzly Canyon Lookout is a 66-piece Lincoln Log playset that makes a little ranger station with a lookout tower. Set includes 57 logs, two windows, opening and closing door with frame, slanted roof, lookout tower with roof, flag, and friendly grizzly bear and ranger play figures. Parents can rest assured that Lincoln Log sets are every bit as much fun as they always were, and are still made with easy-fitting, durable real wood logs and plastic pieces. Grizzly Canyon Lookout can be combined with other Lincoln Log sets to create larger scenes. This is a toy that encourages imagination, tactile development, and shape recognition (and besides that, it's just plain fun). Be warned, however: small parts may present a choking hazard to children under 3 years. --Chris Livesay

          Create your own scene!
I strted using these when I was like 5 or so (now I'm 11). I liked them most to use the various pieces to recreate battles from the civil war and whatnot (I actually used the little ones for men- several different sets allow me to distinguish what side people were on). Now I'm a bit more creative, stacking 2 on top of each other to represent calvary or space ships, and creating huge fortesses to house my battles in. I have at least 3 large sets, and a total of over 600 peices; I never actually counted them. I think it is a great gift to any youngster, and imagination can keep it intesting for years to come.

Back from My Childhood - Now to My Son
My son received this Lincoln Log set along with others for Christmas Last year (age 6). I remembered the go ole days playing for hours, putting together these pieces. My son, is less thrilled in having to put them piece by piece togther. He liked the ideas of the models enclosed on packages, got frustrated when he was unable to complete the various styles. Once with a little help, placing the pieces as illustrations showed, he was very pleased with playing with the sets combined, making a little town. These Lincoln Log sets are a good way to help your childs confindence in their ability to create something of their own design. My son, rarely will pull out his Linclon Logs. When he does they are all emptied in one large pile on the floor and he builds what his imagination desires. In a years time, they have had more closet time than play time but, we like for our kids to play with the toys we did as children. ~

            Fun!!! Fun!!! Fun!!!
This toy is a lot of fun but it brakes easily. I wold suggest that if you are younger you should get someone older to help. But, other than that it is a lot of fun!

Great Gift for 9-11 year old who is tired with Knex and Lego
This is a wonderful construction toy for a child who is tired of Knex and Lego. Designing the track so that the marble stays on is a good lesson in momentum and angles. Probably too difficult for any child under 9.

May the Lego Bricks be with you.
This is one of the coolest Lego Star Wars mini sets. It is almost 100% resembles the actual Imperial Shuttle from the Star Wars Trilogy films. Go get it before all the stock captured by the Imperial Forces. I planned to get the Lego Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator mini set. It has cool landing gears and a movable ramp. Thank you.

              Add to Your Fleet
Star Wars mini vehicles allow users to create vast scenes from the movies without spending thousands of dollars. Each new model has at least one special piece so that you won't be able to duplicate it exactly by using other pieces in your collection.

The Imperial Shuttle is a nice looking model and the side wings do fold into the upright position.

The directions are standard Lego format and are easy to follow. The final construction is solid. There are no packaged instructions for combining parts of this model with others to create a different Star Wars vehicle (some of the other sets do).

All in all, very nicely done.

                A keeper!
I bought 2 of this for 2 3-yr-olds at my son's daycare. They happened to be Bob the Builder fans and really loved this toolset!

Build Fine-Motor Skills with a favorite toy!
Besides being one of my son's favorite toys, I feel great about him playing with it all the time because he is building on his fine motor skills. Also, it is adorable to watch him follow his father around the house when his father fixes things. Cleap up is made easy by the tool box that comes with it - and this toy is holding up unbelivablly well considering how quickly my son's toys normally break!

Probably even more fun for adults!
This is an amazing toy. I actually bought this at the brick-and-morter store, but have bought Supermags through this site and think a comparison would be interesting. I bought a set of Supermags for my son for Christmas when I happened to see it in a toy store. Little did I know what an effect it would have on us. I didn't know about Geomag at the time. We have been playing with the Supermag set for four months now and have bought over 25,000 additional pieces from this site. That's right - 25,000! We are building huge - over 6 feet tall - sculptures with these magnets. But I realized that I should buy some Geomags and compare them. Here is what I found:

-Both sets have the same magnetic strength and identical spheres, but the Geomags are a little longer than the Supermag long pieces.
-The Geomags are wider at the contact point, which doesn't allow as tight angles, but makes them hold their angles better.
-Supermag has two lengths for the magnets, which lets you build a greater variety of shapes, especially organic shapes.
-The panels that come with Geomag let you create squares, diamonds, and pentagons that hold their shape, but they are difficult for my 5 and 7 year-olds to put together.
-The Supermags allow you to build squares and diamonds (but not pentagons) using the other length pieces for braces.
-Because the Supermags are a little shorter, they don't work with the Geomag panels.

                      Great puzzle/toy
My 2 1/2 year son received this toy from his grandmother. He loves it. He can put it back together himself and is very proud of himself when he does it. The only difficulties we have had is one of the screws came apart and had to be reglued and one of the screws is bent due to a knot in the wood and is difficult to screw in. We have only had the train a few weeks but it is holding up otherwise pretty well to a 2 1/2 and 16 month old.
