    AS GOOD AS THEY COME!
WHOA! What a gorgeous figure! The detail is AMAZING! hes got a Morgul Blade and a regular sword! His knees are a bit unstable but it doesnt really matter much...

    Definitely a must-have!

    Nifty
Not a bad model for the die hard minion of evil fans. The Witchking is decked out in both rubber and cloth robes, giving a nice amount of detail to him. He's got both his Morgul Blade and his regular sword (though mine was a tad wobbly). He is also fully posable but I found that he has a hard time keeping his knees locked, so making him stand on his feet straight was impossible. My only thanks is that the rubber robes help act as a support.

      Eomer okay
A nice addition for the collector, but surprisingly plain. Sword is the only extra. Details of clothing and gear very nice. Face sculpt is clean and neat but looks rather odd, possibly on account of he's screaming. ;-) Only thing I question is - why are his eyes *green*? He's got hazel brown eyes, but these are painted bright green. Plus they have his beard blond as his hair, and it's properly a light brown, darker than his hair. Not bad over all though, and well put together, stands alone well.

Smaller packaging, smaller price, same toy? Nice!
Did you miss the Two Towers Eomer figure the first time around? Now's an excellent time to grab it up! You may not have deluxe packaging, but you only want that if you're a collector.

This is only an average figure among the figures of the Lord of the Rings series. The head is kind of big, and the body is kind of thin. The "sword-slashing action" entails his waist swiveling to the left, and then spring-sliding back into the normal pose. He is hard to stand on his feet (I use stick-tack on his feet to make it work), and his mouth is wide open. It looks a little cool, but the only pose you can put him in is an angry pose. His sword (which is somewhat floppy) does not come fitted into its sheath, and thus does not fit as well. The sheath itself rides way up Éomer chest, even when you readjust it. Another beef I have with this figure is that his hands cannot relax at his sides; when positioned all of the way down, they are about an inch and a half out from his waist. He comes with his Rohan helmet, which is kind of neat. It does fit on his head well. Otherwise, I wasn't as pleased with the quality of this figure, but it is nevertheless a good buy.

        Fifth figure difference
This review is mostly in responce to the first review. The fifth figure in the Hulk 5-pack that I purchased was not Kingpin, it was in fact a Hulk figure. I don't know if I got lucky, or if they are putting more than one type of fifth figure in the sets. I don't want to give away what Hulk figure I got, but I will say he is well worth it.

I also have the Spider-Man and X-Men sets. Sabertooth came in the X-men set, and I also got Rhino in the Spider-Man set. With the fact that Kingpin is not in all the Hulk sets (I can tell the picture on Amazon's website is not the kingpin) maybe there's a chance that other sets include the black costume Spider-Man, or Marvel girl.

Actually this has only two Hulk figures and three Daredevil
First off, Marvel and Art Asylum are losing some sales here because this is not a 5-Pak of Marvel Minimate Hulk Figures. In fact, three of the figures are from the Daredevil series. You do get both the Hulk and Puny Banner, although the latter actually appears to be a bit bigger than his green skinned alter ego, but you also have Daredevil, Elektra, and the Kingpin, which means the Man Without Fear comes out ahead in this set (which was originally known as Marvel Minimates Series One). This is a set of the 2-inch mini minimates, not to be confused with the 3-inch minimates of individual figures just as Captain Kirk and Ozzy Osbourne. You would think that if they can bulk up the Kingpin that the Hulk could be bulked up as well, but, no Ol' Greenskin and Hornhead (he really does have horns) look like they would tip the scales about evenly.

The figures have a dozen points of articulation--ball-jointed shoulders and neck, bending elbows and twisting wrists, twisting waist and ankles, bending knees, and limited motion ball-joints for the thighs--so you can pose them in all sorts of interesting and unsanctioned poses (however, the more you actually play with them, the less durable they are going to be, so all you Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner fans try to control yourselves as much as possible). In terms of accessories, Bruce Banner can take off his lab coat (remove his head first, please), DD has his billy clubs, Elektra has her sais, and the Kingpin has a cane (instead of his silver tipped walking stick; go figure). Daredevil is in his red costume, but I believe older versions of this series had the original yellow costume; he has a pouch on his utility belt for holding his billyclubs. The Kingpen has a molded cigar in one hand and his diamond ring on the other.

Final Note: You can have extra fun by putting the Kingpin on a diet (i.e., switch his head with that of Puny Banner). Other Marvel Minimate 5-Pack feature Spider-Man and the X-Men. Can the Fantastic Four (with Doctor Doom as the fifth) and the Avengers be far behind? We shall see. These Minimates are certainly carving out their own little niche of the action figure market.

This is the best 5-pack of them all!!!!!
This is the best 5-pack of them all cause all the figures in this one are very cool. The two spider man's come with their gray web, its so cool. Venom and the green goblin are cool, too. Venom has sharp little claws, as opposed to the usual blunt hands of other minimates. And the green goblin comes with a pumpkin and a purse. The hidden figure the rhino is only available in this 5-pack so get it while its still here. It is so cool cause he has a horn on his head which is cool and you can remove the thing off his head, you know. This is why this is the best 5-pack of them all.

Now Spider-Man and the Green Goblin can have mini-fights
What you get in the Marvel Minimates 5-Pack of Spider-Man figures are really miniature Minimates: these are 2-inch figures, which are an inch shorter than the Minimates of Captain Kirk, Ozzy Osbourne, Li Mu Bai and their friends that you can get in the individual sets. However, you still get all 14 points of articulation. The five figures you get with this set are Spider-Man, a battle-damaged Spider-Man, Venom (not to be confused with the black Spider-Man outfit), the Green Goblin, and the Rhino. There are more Spider-Man Minimates to be had out there, but they come in different collections and through various offers from Art Aslyum (e.g., Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson Minimates). As always, durability is a question of how much you play with the little fellows. Just arrange them in a nice little tableau and leave them alone. There are also Marvel Minimate 5-Pack sets available for the X-Men and the Hulk (in other words, the movies that came out this summer), as well as Minimates for Daredevil and the Silver Surfer. It will be interesting to see how far the Minimate fad goes, but they are off to a pretty good start.

Masters of the Universe Battle Hawk: He-Man Combat Aircraft
          Made by Arco Toys Ltd
          Age Group: 6 - 10 years
            Amazon base price: $12.99
He may be the most powerful man in the universe, but even He-Man can use a little help fighting off the bad guys from time to time. Compatible with other figures from the Masters of the Universe series, this Battle Hawk combat aircraft is designed to help He-Man as he struggles to save Eternia from the clutches of the sinister Skeletor and his evil horde. The adjustable aircraft is equipped with attack claws, wing-mounted guns, tail feathers, and two turret guns that can fire plastic missiles at enemies on the ground or in the air. Pinch Battle Hawk's tail feathers together and he shifts into attack mode. He-Man figure is not included. --Chris Burns

            Another cool MOTU
Great toy to add to MOTU collections. My son, 9, loves all of them!

Pretty cool toy, I must say
This toy just looks great. The color scheme is much better than the red and black one in early previews. The wings can fold back for diving attacks on enemies and even flap. The guns on the front can even move via a rotating articulation point. Also, compared to the evil arial counterpart...this Battle Hawk fits figures better. They stradle it, like a horse...where with The Terrordactyl, the figures sit on a flatter much more awkward surface. It even displays fairly well. The legs have decent articulation, but not so much that the darn thing topples over. Flying vehicles are always more fun and free for your figures, and this one is a good vehicle to own.

              Go Get him Skeletor!!
MY sons love that now they can battle with HeMan's Battlecat!! Now Skeletor and HeMan can have an even playing field, although I think the edge goes to the Raptor. Very cool looking Beast Rider, very durable construction and a lot of fun to bounce around on those spring back legs. You can strap just about any of the figures on his back. As with the other HeMAn figures we have, my kids love them and play with them all day. A definate favorite of their friends when they come over to play.

Didn't like it at first, but changed my mind
I originally thought this toy looked weird. When I got it out of the box and into my hands I started to change my mind. Not too bad. Color scheme is great! Look closely to see cyborg components sculpted onto him...reminds me of prototypes for that Powers of Grayskull line from back in the day. Fires a flame shaped projectile from his mouth - just push button on side of the noggin'. Use lever on back to activate slashing action of the front arms. Removeable claw weapons augment this further. Has odd leg articulation. Pistons move up and down manually to give a little movement. Not really a bad toy once you get to know it. I do kinda wish his jaws were articulated. Good toy.

                SO COOL
This is a great toy. I think that probably its best for adults, but i bought it and im a kid. Nothing went wrong. Its really durable, so i'd give it 5 stars. I'd definetly think the it's 5 stars for fun(i would give it 10 stars if i could)! Educational, not really, so 3 stars, but it does show how to kick Smith's (...). It looks exactly like Neo and its extremely detailed. BUY THIS TOY! You won't be dissapointed.

I have to sya that this toy is a good addition for any matrix fan. Its very durable and especially since its a model. I would suggest getting the Agent Smith one because they connect together and make a scene. it's good to look at!

Cardinal Jim Edmonds make a routine catch in the outfield
I was sort of surprise that McFarlane Toys did not decide to recall the most celebrated catch that Jim Edmonds ever made, but of course he was playing for the California Angels and not the St. Louis Cardinals at the time. On June 10, 1997 the Angels were in Kansas City. In the fifth inning, with two men on and the score tied, David Howard of the Royals was at bat with Edmonds playing his usually shallow center field. Howard lined a shot to straightway center. Edmonds turned his back and took off running, then dove, fully extending his body horizontal to the ground, and caught the ball over his shoulder, landing on the warning track a few feet from the centerfield wall. We are talking Willie Mays in the 1953 World Series catching Vic Wertz's blast at the Polo Ground, but instead of the catch and throw we have the dive and a catch. When "Baseball Weekly" named its 10 Most Amazing Plays of all time, the Edmonds catch was #3 (Mays was #2 and Ozzie Smith was #1).

So what we have here for the MLB Series 6 figure is Jim Edmonds in the Cardinals home uniform stretching out to make what would be an ordinary, routine, run-of-the-mill catch for the perennial Gold Glove outfielder. I think he seems to be higher off the ground than he would be in the real world, but then this is an action figure. As always, the fun is in the details with this McFarlane figure: notice that the ball is just about nestled in the glove, the black painted under his eyes, and that the fingers on Edmond's left hand are splayed. Along with the figure of the Minnesota Twins' Torii Hunter leaping over the outfield fence to rob someone of a home run and the New York Yankees' Bernie Williams gliding along to make a catch, this Jim Edmonds figure is one of the few showing a major leaguer on defense in something of a signature pose. Apparently you have to be a Gold Glove winning center fielder to get this special treatment.

Sammy Sosa does his home run hop on the road
Tired of the same old batter at the plate pose for your McFarlane baseball figures? Well, this MLB Series 6 Figure of Sammy Sosa is certainly unique because nobody else does the little hop out of the batters box after going long ball like the Cubs slugging right fielder. As a nice touch, Sosa's black (uncorked) bat is also about to hit the ground, although I suppose it could be bouncing up in the air as well. One of the strengths of the McFarlane figures has always been the details, and you can see all of the blades of grass on the side of the base, just like it was lifted out of the ground from whatever field the Cubbies are visiting. I always like the way the uniforms look.

McFarlane put out a Sammy Sosa figure with the first series, which showed the Cubs slugger at the plate earlier in his post-swing after bashing another long ball over Waveland Avenue. So this Series 6 figure would come after that one, except in the first one Sosa had the blue Cubs jersey and this one has the road grey (a white/pin-stripped version in also available). Ironically, I always liked the way Sosa stands coiled at the bat waiting for the pitch, so I would not have minded that being selected as the pose. On the other hand, what other McFarlane sports figure can you use to make snow angels? There are also figures of Sosa's Cub teammates Kerry Wood and Mark Prior, so you might as well make an effort to track down the big three of the Chicago Northside.

Great Desk Display for Cub Fans....
Macfarlane Toys started putting these figures out a few years ago, and continually improve the quality in my opinion. I still remember the first set, which were not licensed by MLB. The Mark McGwire figure was amazingly perfect in depicting his swing, but the Sammy Sosa figure was a bit less impressive.

This figure captures AMAZING quality of detail: the face even looks exactly like Sammy Sosa. We have all seen the "hop" when Sosa connects with one of his long drives, and this figure captures that trademark of Sosa's effectively.

I just hope that Macfarlane can pull off production of Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Jackie Robinson, Joe DiMaggio, and most of all - Ted Williams.

                    Those would be classics.

                      2002 World Series MVP
This Troy Glaus action figure is a wonderful symbol of the Angels 2002 World Series Championship. Who better to serve as that symbol than Troy Glaus, the World Series MVP? The attention to detail is amazing. This is a great toy for 50 year old Angel fans like me. If you like Troy Glaus of the Angels, you will love this action figure portraying Glaus just as he is about to take his home run trot. I understand that a Garrett Anderson figure is comming out this summer. Go Angels!

2002 World Series MVP sculpted magnificently
The Anaheim Angels paid attention to all of the important details in their journey to the 2002 World Series Championship title. Mcfarlane toys captures all of the right details of the 2002 World Series MVP. In my area these toys are nowhere to be found on store shelves so it was great to be able to get this product from Toys R Us Online /Amazon. The product is so cool that I've got one for myself as well as my son. Get yours while supplies last!
