Nice, but, not the best DC Snowglobe
DC Direct made a huge hit with Batman A Dark WInter's Knight snowglobe. Harley Quinn is the 5th in this series of snowglobes.
A horrible thing was begun with the Wonder Woman globe, that continues with this one. However, it is perfect for this globe. I speak of the "bust" in the globe. Because this is a "Jack-in-the-box" snowglobe, it works great here.
The design is overall pretty nice too. It's definately a unique style, that works.
The major flaw in design, however, is the "music box". Actually, I find it quite annoying. What looks like a nice idea, loses its touch. The music is made by cranking the handle; the problem is, when you stop, the music stops. Like I said, annoying.
The music box is not all that loud either. Actually, I'd say the fan on people's PC's is louder than the music here.
      Bottom Line: Overall, nice snowglobe.
The Good. Nice, unique design. Nice idea to add a musicbox.
The Bad: The musicbox requires manual cranking; once you stop, the music stops. The music just isnt loud enough to be worth having.
For the complete package, I give this a 3 1/2 star out of 5 stars.

        Knight Bus
Well, This is surely a mattel toy! The figures feet not all the time fit in the pegs why would they stand while riding on the knight bus? Second there are no decals like the one in the movie.. like All Destinations Except Underwater. ell I wouldnt buy this at all if I were you! Take my word for it!

Good for the Olivia lover in your life
My daughter loves Olivia. She was given this toy but really doesn't play with it that much. She might be too young for it right now (she just turned three). It's very nice and feels great to play with. The ears and arms and legs move well and are held into the body with elastic. The clothing is *very* well made.

Meet the new Angel of Death, the Saint of Killers
The Angel of Death gave him his job and sent him from Hell to find Jesse Custer and Genesis (not to mention the McCready gang that killed him and his wife), so just stay out of his way or you will end up dead. It is that simple. The Saint of Killers Action Figure from DC Direct presents the accursed lawman from the "Preacher" comic book series. This figure came out at the same time as the final "Preacher" storyline, "Alamo." The figure is just over 6 inches tall and features six points of articulation. The hat is removable but the holster is not. Saint of Killer can use either his six-shooter or a rifle. The orange outfit is just a bit too bright for my tastes but they did a nice job on the head. Like most of the DC Direct line Saint of Killers works a lot better as a display figure than an actual toy. Other "Preacher" figures from DC Direct include Jesse Custer, Cassidy, and Tulip. For fans of that particular series, these are are average figures to have up on your shelf.

              Bumps too slow
My 4 year old son LOVES Spider-man and was excited to play with the permanently sitting action figure that is supposed to be sitting on the "jet cycle," but the "jet cycle" is so slow that he tossed it aside and only plays with the action figure that should have articulated legs so that it would have more play value. I'm not sure just how durable the cycle is since it's never played with.

Nice concept, but could be more exciting if it ran a bit quicker, and would have more play value if the figure was articulated in the legs.

                SPIDERMAN AND THE SHOCKER...SORT OF...
This is a nice Spiderman figure. Even though he looks too skinny and the webbing on his costume looks too close together when compared to other ToyBiz Spiderman figures, it has other redeeming qualities. This figure has decent--and more useful--articulation than most figures. Head, neck, shoulders, arms, elbows, mid forearms, waist, hips, knees, mid-shin, and ankles all bend and/or rotate. It has an interchangeable head so that you can pose him with a Peter Parker head so it seems as if he has taken off his mask for a little fresh air. He has two fists instead of the overused "web shooting" pose. Personally, I think this is wonderful. Spidey can finally trade punches with the bad guys instead of spin webs all the time. Also, the joint at the waist only turns far enough to the left or the right to allow the spring action inside to work and make it look like Spidey is throwing a punch. Again, I think this is great. All the other Spiderman action figures we have bought have this joint and it turns the figure all the way around 360 degrees. No one can do that in real life. Not to mention that it is also the first joint that gets loose and his body will twist and turn around even when you don't want him to. The accessory is OK. The Shocker can be "trapped" to the wall that he is permanently attached to by "punching" him. The webbing that traps him doesn't always wrap around the Shocker every time it is activated. Only the Shocker's head moves, unfortunately. It would have been real nice to have him as a separate action figure, though. Or, they could have made it a 2-in-1 action figure pack. A good product for kids.

                  Action Hair Klingon....
This figure could have been great. As with all toy companies AA did a great job on the alien figures [much more so than the human figures]. And the rubber even works on this figure as it does no interfere with the articulation. My only complaint is the fly-away hair. Since AA saw fit not to add any type of stand or peg holes in the bottom of the foot the figures often fall and cannot have that 'action' pose this hair requires [this guy would have looked better without the super model wind tunnel look].

                    Oaah! Geekin' this is!
Lookin' for a little something to get my Yoda-phile mom for Mother's Day, I stumbled upon this and found myself astounded by this neat little action figure diorama dealie of the little green dude. I couldn't believe the fairly high level of detail and sculpting this toy possessed (man, do I wish Hasbro put this kinda work into the regular action figure line). There wasn't much in the way of articulation (poseability), but this is due to the fact that this piece was meant to be displayed more than anything else.

The only thing I'm not too hip with is the fact that Yoda's wielding a lightsaber here. Call me weird (everybody I know does, BTW), but I just don't like seein' the little dude usin' a lightsaber. It's one of the reasons (among an endless sea of others) I wasn't too keen on Eppie II. I always saw Yoda as the type of Jedi master who didn't need to rely on weapons to kick some Sith @$$. This quirk of mine likely stems from him bein' much more philosophical-- and a lot less action-oriented-- in the 'Empire' and 'Jedi'. And yes, such musings as the weirdness of Yoda wielding a lightsaber ARE the kinda things that race through my mind on a regular basis. This is the kinda stuff we get-a-lifer types think about, to the exclusion of such things as proper hygiene, layin' off the carbs, and gettin' a girlfriend...

Live long and-- no wait, that's not right...
I just know you're gonna laugh at me when I tell you why I decided to get this little guy. It ain't due to my fandom of any of the Gundam shows; I haven't seen episode one of any of the series, or any of the movies. It might have a little to do with my finding the super-deformed look of this toy kinda cool-- it's cute, but in a macho, geekin' kinda way-- but it ain't the main reason why. Nope, the main reason I got this little runt is because of his extra set of red 'Spock-salute' hands; I thought he'd look kinda neat standing next to my Spock action figure, imitating his gesture. Now you know just how barren an existence I lead. I could at least try to hang out with the guys and make some effort to pick up a few chicks at the local clubs. But NO, I just gotta check out the latest cool-looking collectible tchochkes like the pathetic geekin' loser that I am, and write smart-@$$ customer reviews about them in a sad and fruitless attempt to fill the void where my social life should be. But do any of you care? Of course you don't! You don't give two doots one way or the other, do you, you heartless scumbags?! Oh dear God, just kill me now and get it over with! I'm SICK I tell you! SICK!!!

All right, time to leave the pity party and get on with the review. While I found this guy's articulation (poseability) superior to the imported SD Gundam snap-together models I own, I also discovered all those armor plates and other "kibble" keep the ol' Burninator from having a really good range of movement. And his rubberized plastic weapons aren't all that easy to fit into his rubberized plastic fist hands. 'Course, this could be seen as an upside, 'cuz you don't hafta worry so much about the swords slippin' outta his hands and gettin' lost-- which is something I've had problems with when it comes to my SD model figures.

Also notable is the toy's jet backpack which, when the jet part is pushed down, pops open the 'bots wings and opens up a chest panel and reveals a glowing red light underneath. The winged jetpack is detachable, but I couldn't tell you whether or not it's interchangeable with accessories from other figures in the SD Gundam line. Articulation points include a rotating head, shoulders, forearms just above the elbows, and wrists. The elbows also bend, and the hips and ankles are ball-jointed, allowing for quite a bit of free movement-- were the aforementioned "kibble" not in the way...

                      My ratings breakdowns:

Fun Factor: Three stars. The aforementioned limited range of movement in spite of surprisingly extensive articulation takes quite a bit of play value outta the little runt. He ain't half-bad as a display piece, though.

Durability Factor: Four stars. So long as you remember to replace the battery that powers the red chest light, this guy should hold up pretty well. A significant portion of this toy is made out of rubberized plastic (including all four hands, both swords, and the crests of the 'bot's kabuto "helmet"), especially those parts that, were they made of hard plastic, would likely break off if the toy were dropped onto the floor.

Educational factor: Two stars. Other than being an excellent object lesson why Japanese-designed toys are so much cooler-looking than American-designed ones, this thing probably ain't gonna help tutor you in those classes you're havin' trouble with...
