Kinder Garden Babies Water Lily: Lisa (African American)
Made by Toy Biz
Age Group: 36 months - 8 years
    Amazon base price: $
    List price: $24.99 (that's NaN% off!)
This is a simple and fun toy for the bath or pool. No batteries are required here--this little doll kicks and swims on mechanical power, while her squirt-ducky friend floats nearby. The big blue petals of Lisa's fabric flower (yellow and pink inside) unfold to reveal her, clad in a blue bathing suit with removable fabric swim cap and goggles. She has a vinyl head and waterproof nylon fabric body, with soft-stuffed arms, rigid legs, and hard torso. Turn the big flower-knob on her back, give it a pull, and put her in the water to see her swim. Or let her float serenely on her inflatable, transparent green lily pad while her mommy gets her bath. And when it's time for Lisa's shower, the shower (with flower outlet) attaches easily to the lily pad, and operates easily, too, with a squeeze of the rubber bulb pump. Lisa's lily-flower home has suction pads, so she can live close by the water, always ready for bathtime play. A patch kit is included for the vinyl lily pad. --Ava Natov

the most fun is in the opening...
my daughter got this when she was 2. she's now 3, and although this doll is in clear sight (we actually have a different one, but they're all similar), she's never picked it up again. i wouldn't recommend, even when it's this cheap.

      very disappointed in Colorado
This dollhouse was a gift for my daughters birthday, and she loves it. But, you cannot find any african american dolls to make it complete. You can find all of the caucasian pieces brother, sister giftset with grandma and baby sitter as well as other dolls to complete the caucasian doll house, but nothing for the african american dollhouse. I will be returning the dollhouse because of this, if you are going to make an african american dollhouses you should also make the families as you do the caucasian dollhouse. To all who are purchasing this dollhouse in the african american version, I would advise you not to. This dollhouse is not for our children. We don't want them to believe that most african american families only consist of a mom, dad, baby and dog. And I am very displeased with fisher price.

Consider the alternatives to Shoe Fairies
My daughter begged for this play set and other Shoe Fairies set. Parenting books tell you to pick your battles wisely. This is one battle I regret not picking. The toy is made rather cheaply, parts get stuck between tight crevices, don't play with it by a heating duct. Soon, the Columbia-Universal-Revolution Pictures live-action Peter Pan movie will come out. Moms & Dads, insist that your daughters wait for the nicer, more child-friendly Peter Pan merchandise. Some things are worth the fight.

          Buyer beware !
My 4 year old daughter just had to have the new baby born who could go swimming with her just like the commercials. Along with her new baby I bought this set to take with her doll swimming. The swimsuit is cute the hat is a little small (you really have to shove it on her and the fins are great.First I couldn't figure out why the snorkle would't fit in her mouth and it was because the google set up was backwards. The little nose cut out was on the top . That was an easy fix by just removing the frog eyes and putting them on the right way and turning around the snorkle.Still a problem. But the major flaw with this mask is that it will not stay on. They made the little knobbies that hold googles on too small and they slip right through The mask falls right off her which has made my daughter feel that she can't take care of her baby right and Asks why can't she do it.This is not what I intended for my daughter I expected joy. I had to sew my google straps as a quick fix but I know it won't last. Buyer beware !

Thomas & Friends Knapford Covered Bridge

            Amy
We recently started collecting the Thomas train items for our son. Just about everything we have purchased so far has been super, however this bridge is not the greatest. The problem is that the covered bridge and connecting track will not stay on the risers. The slightest bump and the track collapses. Hope this was helpful.

I as well brought this clock for my 7 yr. old daughter and thought it would be a good learning tool for her to tell time....boy was I fooled. I couldn't understand the directions to save my life! they were so complicated. I did not know if I was setting the time or the date. The lettering is terrible!
I agree with all the previous reviews. Not worth it...

                This toy is cool!
I love watching the shows with my brother it is fun and we learn a lot, But there is no 3-D effect! Also I can't find any other slides online for this projector.

                3-D Space Projector
This projector is just what everyone above has been saying...useless...Do not go and buy it!! I give it "0" stars. The negatives are very hard to make out. I couldn't tell if I was looking at Earth or Venus.

                Do not buy!
All of these negative reviews should tell you something! I wish I had bought this at Amazon, so I could've seen these reviews first. They are all correct. There is NO 3D effect at all. In fact, wearing the glasses is a viewing obstruction. We could see the pictures better without them. Also, I don't know if it was my imagination or my frustration, but it seemed that wearing the glasses actually gave me a headache! This would be a much better product if they didn't bother to try to make the images 3D. I too have been looking for slides that will fit into this projector. It wouldn't be bad with plain 2D images.

                15" Anne Geddes Baby Hedgehogs
                Made by Unimax Toys
                Age Group: 18 months - 6 years
                  Amazon base price: $
Like all the adorable baby animals in Anne Geddes's photography book Down in the Garden, this little hedgehog is a sweet, snoozing baby delight. Covered entirely in thick golden-brown fur with velour underside, legs, and arms, this snuggly little boy just wants to nap away in your arms. His little fuzzy hood can be removed, but not the rest of his suit. Nicely weighted with a beanbag filling, he measures 15 furry inches long and can be gently cleaned in the washing machine. --Marianne Painter

                  Not a play thing
I bought this doll because of how cute it is and it just called out to me. I see no educational value. As far as durability, it's up on a shelf just so I can see it every day. I am not a collector. I just buy things that strike my fancy, like this doll. I have also bought the small hedgehog doll and my kids have played with them for at least a year. If you want educational, get a leap pad. If you want cute and cuddly, get this doll.

                  What the...?
Ok. I received this gift for my newborn daughter for Christmas 2002. I just don't know what to think. Sure it's cute but does it really serve a ourpose other than that? Not really. My daughter is 2 months old and she'll have absolutely no idea as to what the heck it is for quite some time. It's more of a gift for someone who's a touch older by years!

                  Bratz Funky Fashion Makeover: Meygan
                  Made by MGA Entertainment
                  Age Group: 6 - 9 years
                    Amazon base price: $
If you know a young girl who loves experimenting with makeup and hairstyles, then Meygan may make a welcome companion. This bust of the Bratz fashion doll is situated on a gray star-shaped base and stands about 10 inches tall. Her chestnut brown hair is done up in two knotted ponytails, but those can be taken down for budding stylists who want to give Meygan a unique appearance. Hair extensions, two hair clips, and a plastic star-shaped hairbrush are provided for more options. Meygan also comes with the necessary items for a facial makeover. A container of clear gel and three containers of colored glitter (pink, purple, and silver) can be blended to create lip gloss, eye shadow, and blush. Use the two applicators and the fluffy white powder puff to apply the mixture to her face. A damp towel or tissue cleans her face for easy removal of mistakes or to start over on a new look. The makeup is also safe for young girls and can be cleaned off with soap and water. --Pam Lauer

                    Why bother?
It looks dumb, I mean you just style the hair and stuff! And why waste your money on something your kid will give away eventually!

                    Creepy
My daughter likes the Bratz dolls, but we agree that these giant decapitated Bratz heads are just plain creepy. The proportions of the Bratz' features, which look cutely amusing on the regular-size dolls, look scarey when blown up to human-size. Besides, the heads come fully made-up, so all you can really do with them is style their hair or put them in the oven to scare grandma.

                      i love KEN
I am a big fan of barbie, but after this public break up with Ken, Im not sure if i can enjoy my days playing with Barbie, knowing that Ken is no longer around, and a sun bleached kid named Blain from Australia has broken up the sweet 43 years of dating with Barbie and Ken. It's hard to deal with, and i hope i can cope, they should have at least made him look a little bit more muscular!although i believe that ken would be the way to go.

what will they do with him?

Sence barbie "broke up" with ken who is he gona date. i dont have any theresas or kristys. all i have is barbie dolls. i told my aunt and my mom i already have 73 barbies just barbies. so i wont get any more. Im not wasting my money an a Kristy or theresa. i did 1 for educational. what do you learn from this guy? not to date anyone else besides dumb blondes when you get dumped. i gave it 1 for duribality cuase his head kept falling off and the only way to get it back to normal is to squash it down so he has no neck. if you like unrealistic to much tan and toatly gay waste your money. him sayin dont buy it

                      Why?
Mattel has designed and manufactured hundreds of gorgeous Barbie dolls with magnificent clothing and stylish and/or ornate hairdos. Why can't they design a Ken doll that doesn't look like a square peg in a round hole?
This Cali Ken doll is a notch up from many other Kens in that his hair is approaching a style, albeit windblown. But look at this stance and the ridiculous look on his face. He looks shell-shocked.
I like his outfit. At least it doesn't look like it is falling off of him like most of Ken's suits and shirts do.
I would not buy it. I just don't think boy dolls are fun to play with. If I were going to buy a boy doll, it would be a GI Joe.
