I also appreciate having a male doll toy which I think is important for boys, it makes a pleasant contrast to all the tough, plastic building toys Sam plays with a lot.
Sam did loose his jacket and accesories within days, but besides that, Diego is an excellent toy for soft play and language learning as well.

I, as a parent, hate it. It's too small and fiddly for my big fingers ... and there is always something to be re-attached, re-configured or an item of clothing for Polly to put on that my daughter needs help with. She loves it when I sit down and play with her but I can't get my big fingers comfortable with this tiny toy.
I also have to constant worry of a choking hazard for her little brother (just turned 1) and I have to stand over her to ensure she packs up every single tiny piece of the set.
All the Polly Pocket sets we own have been gifts. As a parent - I would find something else to buy my daughter.
I am not a fan of this toy at all ... but then i am not a 4 year old little girl either.

Fun Toy; [Crummy] MarionetteCons: It doesn't really look like Chris -- is that supposed to be a goatee? Also, it's a pretty [crummy] marionette. The joints are really stiff and it's almost impossible to get it to "do the moves".
Interesting toy idea!

One form of Happy D features her blonde hair in complete cornrows flowing long and parted from the middle, much like Christina Aguilera had throughout 2001. Another features Christina's long white hair with piles of black streaks & some little braided strands- much like Christina had her hair in the last half of 2002 (her most known hair style) and it's even in her 2002 Olympics performance outfit.
This version's doll is the best souvenier a Christina Aguilera (or Justin Timberlake) fan could have! It features Christina with white hair, and black hair on the bottom half to replicate that "Dirrty" video hair. If that's not enough, it features the red, white & black leather outfit she wore on that video when she was on a bike. Yes, an EXACT replicate of that outfit (okay, well, the pant legs aren't cut out into chaps because that would be very inappropriate for children.). If that's not enough, it has an EXACT replicate of the red motorcycle she rides in her "Dirrty" video. You couldn't imagine how excited I was considering "Dirrty" is my favorite music video of all time & she is my favorite singer!
Also included with her is a replicate of her current touring partner, Justin Timberlake, complete with his recent facial hair & in one of those urban type outfits he's been sporting lately. He doesn't look as much like himself as the other doll looks like Christina. It was clearly packaged toward Christina fan anyhow.
=D
Her head is way too big for her body and way bigger then any other Barbie, or Ken doll's head, and her her body is too small to fit in any clothes other then pre-teen Skipper. Liam is a little taller then most Kens, so that makes Happy D even shorter. And with her Cruella de Ville hair, she looks like a total freak!!!!!!!
I dont know why they made them look like such an odd couple, but I wouldnt reccemend this set for the girl doll, but the bike and the male doll are awsome!
p.s. the helmets dont fit well at all!

Our family came with a dollhouse and the mother came with part of the body broken so the leg and arm on one side swing around unnervingly when you try to pose her. The son's feet both came off after two weeks and we're not sure if we can glue them back on so they'll stay.
I'm dissapointed and expect the rest of the family to deteriorate in turn. I will have to look around to find another doll family about the same size for my little girl to use in this dollhouse. ...

Where Velma shines however, is as a "makeover" doll. Shampoo out the hair spray, paint the pink lips some other color more mature, give her a nice outfit, lose the glasses...and voila', the Barbie fan has something fairly unique and different.
Velma will appeal to kids who like Scooby-Doo, but adult Barbie collectors and customizers shouldn't pass her by without looking at least twice.
Also, Skipper herself wouldn't make a very good Velma. Way too skinny. I dunno about you, but in my opinion, the cartoon Velma was NO Barbie. Also, the nice, knee-length skirt of cartoon fame has been turned into a pleated miniskirt attached to the shirt so it really is a dress. But, as this IS a Barbie doll, That can be expected.
Actually, I find this toy pretty fun (not to mention funny). It is kind of cool, and I would buy another of the 'Scooby-Doo!' series Barbie dolls.
