I am the 28 year old lucky recipient of the Special Edition Townhome, some deluxe furniture packs, and this grand piano. Firstly, as a pianist, it is just awesome to gaze at. However, it plays 4 classical pieces and single notes, encouraging a real moment for a child to engage in music interest or hone their skills if they are learning piano or another instrument. I have it situated by the terrace doors. The piano itself is austere and, well, grand. The wall screen, fabulous, separates the master bedroom suite from the claw - footed tub and bathroom my mom and I created. It is durable and elegant and coordinates with the entire home. The carpet is unusual and the bench is padded and large enough for mom and daughter to share in a piano lesson together! It brings back the memories of my childhood. I am very impressed.

I WILL BE 41 ON 12/1 I HAVE THE CLASSIC DOLL HOUSE,TOWN HOUSE AND RECENTLY PURCHASED VICTORIAN DOLL HOUSE FOR MYSELF I LOVE EVERTHING FISHER PRICE MAKES FOR THESE HOUSES I OWN ALL THE ASCESSORIES THEY MAKE I'AM CONSTANTLY IN SEARCH OF ANY NEW PRODUCTS THEY HAVE FOR THESE HOUSES.I LOVE TO REDECORATE THEM AND POSE THE FIGURES,THEN JUST SIT BACK AND STARE AT THEM I HAVE THEM SET UP ON TABLES IN A 2ND BEDROOM SO WHEN YOU WALK IN IT'S ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS YOU NOTICE, I HAVE JUST ONE COMPLAINT I WAS A LITTLE UP SET THAT I COULD'NT CHOOSE THE BLACK FAMILY FOR MY TOWN HOUSE"FP" DID'NT MAKE THAT AND OPTION LIKE THEY DID WITH THE OTHER 2 HOUSES I GOT THE TOWN HOUSE WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT 120.00 FOR THAT PRICE I FELT I SHOULD HAVE HAD A CHOICE, FOR THE GROWN-UP KID THESE ARE THE TOYS THAT I WANTED AS A KID,THESE ARE THE HOMES I WANT TO OWN AS AND ADULT AND I DO IN MY MIND AND THEY ARE ALL PAID FOR. 5 STARS FISHER PRICE VERY HAPPY HERE IN MICHIGAN

We've had this piano for over a year now and it is a favorite accessory for our FP dollhouse. Both of my daughters (5 and 2) love it. The piano is defnitely durable as it gets lots of attention. The screen and the other pieces are not as durable and don't get played with as much. This is definitely a must-have toy for any dollhouse fan.

My 5 yo son received this from Santa last Christmas and absolutly loves it! It's really a great deal. He could have had a larger much more expensive dollhouse but chose this one because it's portable. He's had no problems whatsover w/the handles. It is made of some sort of plywood-type wood so has scratched easily...but it doesn't seem like it will fall apart any time soon and that's taking into consideration how rough my son is w/it. It comes w/a lot of furniture but we aren't happy w/the dolls as they are not made to be dressed and undressed and they are flexible rope w/kind of stumpy wooden limbs. My son became a bit frustrated when he attempted to take their clothes off only to find he actually ripped them off and he didn't like the ropey bodies. They are the same flexi-dolls I've seen at Waldorf sites. I highly recommend buying additional dolls whether the same, if that's what your child likes, or ones made differently. But this dollhouse as-is is really a great starter set and you can't beat the price. I highly recommend it.

We just bought this doll house for our 5 year old daughter and it was an instant hit. For those considering making the purchase, here are my thoughts about this toy.

I think this doll house looks quaint, and for my part I think that wooden doll houses are just much nicer than plastic ones (even though there are some really cute plastic ones around). I particularly like the fact that the garage door and front door can open and close--very realistic!

The couple that comes with it is very cute and they have moveable legs, so they can sit on the furniture, etc. The furniture does not look like "real life" furniture (may be a problem for some people) but I thought it was nice anyway and also it is really sturdy. My daughter has a younger brother and we don't have to worry about him breaking anything because the pieces that came with the house are solid and well-made.

Some people mentioned the problem with the glued on labels. Perhaps the manufacturer has been reading these reviews because the labels on the house we bought came off quite easily (my 3 year old son pulled them off with no problem).

What disappointed me about this house were three things. First, although the house folds shut, which makes it portable as advertised, the handles don't fasten together. If you are carrying it you have to be careful to keep both handles together or the house will slip open and the furniture will fall out. I think they should have included a simple clasp that would keep both halves together.

Second, you can't take the clothes off the dolls. My daughter wanted to put the figures in the bath, but felt that she had to undress them first. So that wasn't a plus.

Finally, although I love the figures and the furniture, I'd like to be able to add to what I have. If you buy a more traditional type house it isn't difficult to buy more furniture. With this set, though, it would be hard to find furniture that matched.

All told, my complaints are few. I am glad we bought the toy, it was well worth the money, and my daughter loves it!

I ordered this dollhouse to keep in my home for my grandchildren to play with in years to come. Right now I have a granddaugter who will be 3 and I think she will love it. I did, however, have to spend 30 minutes getting the glue off the house from the labels.

I believe this house will bring many hours of play for my granchildren.

This dollhouse has shown that a lot of imagination and thought went into this piece. The only draw back is that it is VERY labor-intensive, but worth the effort. Older children MAY be able to put it together, but I would recommend they have adult assistance. One adult could put it together in one day - maybe a day and a half. The base and first level alone have around 100 parts so patience would be the best thing to have plenty of.

my 12Year old daughter started with Playmobil 8 years ago,are playmate she had whom was a boy introduced her to it.Thru the years we have bought so many pieces that I lost track,the doll house and all the funuture,the castle and all the funiture,the adventure set,that was her first,and is no longer being made,the cabins the animals,the pirate ship,yes a girl wanted the pirate ship,and the lagoon.Playmobil is one toy she always went back to playing with.She will play for hours on hours role playing.I thought we were done with toys,she is at the age of boys and makeup.So I went in and separted and put all the pieces back toghter,2 days of work and found out that I like it too.I really enjoyed all the craftmanship that goes into each piece.We have a room full of Playmobil,and I am going to keep buying it,because it somehting,a hobbie that my daughter and I can do together.Playmobil is a good learning tool to let kids use thier minds insted of watching tv,or playing the video games,and computer.
LET YOUR CHILD IMAGINE.And you might learn too.

Santa Claus brought this for my 2.5 year old daughter. She was too little! She did love to play with it, but the parts were too small (we never installed half of them) and hard for little fingers to manipulate. We thought it would "grow with her," but it really would have been better to wait! She is 4 now, and we may get it out again. If you are looking for a dollhouse for a younger child, try something simple like the Fisher-Price one, and but this one for a later birthday or Christmas.

My 7 year old daughter is a major bratz fan. She wanted a place for her Cloe doll to sleep so I got this for her. The hed board and foot board are light purple lips that have glitter on them. The cover is purple and it sparkles. It comes with two adorable pillows. It has a cute attachable tray that is in the shape of lips also. You can move the tray around to whatever point you want it to be at. It also comes with pink slippers for your bratz. My daughter played with it for three hours straight the day she got it. All her friends admire it when they come over and they all play with it for hours. When they come they say, "Lets go and play with your bratz beauty bed!" My daughter plays with it all the time and has yet to get tired of it. I recomend this for bratz fans!

SO BUY IT ITS WORTH IT!!

My almost 2.5-year-old daughter received this from us for Christmas to go with her dollhouse from Santa. She loves it! She piles all of her dolls into it, or just drives 2 adults around with the backseat full of pets. She plays with this as much as the house itself. I thought this was cuter than than the silver van, even though our girl rides in a real minivan everyday. It looks real, and it's easy to get the dolls in and out. Our daughter kept asking for a car for Christmas, and even told Santa in person that she wanted a car, so this worked out perfectly. The grandparents love it too!

The Loving Family convertible is a cute little car. It comes with a girl and dog. The trunk opens--and occasionally the trunk lid comes off, but it snaps back on easily. Unfortunately, the back seat is too little for anyone but the dog and baby to sit in--which frustrates my three-year-old. Other than that, it's a good toy.

My 3 1/2 yr. old daughter just got this and she loves it. She puts the people in very easy and takes off racing across the living room floor. She giggles the whole time. She also loves the dog that came with it. This is one vehicle that she can use all by herself without my having to fix something on it or help her get the people into it.

I just gave my 3 year old daughter this dollhouse today - I love playing with it as much as she does. I would encourage buying extra furniture to complete the look. The furniture that does come with the house is not moveable which is a great idea because these are the pieces that provide all the phrases and sounds and this way they won't get lost - good idea Fisher Price! The many stickers to come with the house completes the look. This house is very sturdy I am sure it will be played with many years from now. My 7 yr old son also plays with this along with his sister.

We bought this house for our daughter last Christmas and I must say it has been great! There are plenty of rooms for the family to go in. It comes with the dolls, a cat, a radio, and a few peices of furniture plus the furniture that is built-in the house. I still don't have all the rooms for it but my daughter doesn't even notice. Very durable and very much worth the price.

My almost 2.5 year old daughter received this wonderful dollhouse for Christmas from Santa. I was up til the early morning hours placing the 100+ stickers on it, but it was well worth it. I was so excited! When she walked out of her bedroom and saw her new house, she ran to it and said: Oh, look what Santa brought me! It is amazing to watch her interact with these dolls and role play. I was going to wait to give this to her until next Christmas, but she is advanced for her age and has always played well with her toys. She had been asking constantly for a car for Christmas, so that night she opened the (Loving Family) red convertible from Mommy and Daddy to go with her new house. She loves to drive the mom and dad, kids, and pets around in it, all at the same time! The sounds from the house are clear, not too loud, and def. not annoying. The radio plays when you set it on one the permanent chairs, and she makes the dolls dance to it. The dolls are great too, with their life-like hair and moveable arms and legs. This dollhouse would make a great gift for any little girl! Looking foward to many years of play with it!!

I bought this for my daughter when she was 2 actually, and she has always loved it and played with it. As she is turning 3 now, she plays with it even more. She has never lost interest in it, she has so much fun playing with it and I have fun playing with her too.
It is pretty durable too.
Any little Strawberry Shortcake fan needs to have this to go with her dolls!

I bought this item for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it! Everytime she has a friend over they play with it and even argue over it. The pices are durable - however -I have an 11 month old and have to be very careful because their are some very small pieces. This makes a great gift for girls between 3 and 4yrs old. It is a little pricey but for the true Strawberry Shortcake fans it is worth the money!

I must say, even though I had read the reviews that noted all the accesories that came with the Berry Happy Home, I was surprised to see the detail and variety of little parts to complete the home. I think the best part are the little books to put on the bookshelf on the wall. Or maybe the fact that the stickers can be placed anywhere, so you get to be creative and decorate the home yourself. I do love the ringing doorbell, and the lamp that lights up too! I also think that with so many of the dolls out today have on tons of makeup, wear skimpy clothes, and have distorted features, that this is a refreshingly wholesome line of toys and I hope they continue to grow and expand on the Strawberry Shortcake Line. This strawberry house is very well worth the price.

I bought this dollhouse for my daughter on her third christmas. I thought it was a really good dollhouse for the price, and was very excited about giving it to her. When we put it together, it was great. It was a big hit and everybody played with it. She played with it everyday for a month until it started to have problems. The wiring somehow got messed up so that if you hit the fireplace for instance, the phone would ring, and soforth. That was just the first problem. After that, the batteries would run down within a day because the switch wires were also messed up. You can't get the lights to turn off now. I don't feel like replacing the batteries everyday, or taking them out after every use, so I'm just getting rid of it. I didn't keep the box to return it, or otherwise I would be returning it for a refund. Kinda a waste in my book.

this is a great dollhouse in the fisher price collection though it is not exactly what I would choose because it is kind of rickity. That is not what you want to be happening, you kids playing nicely together and then it just falls on top of them. I gave it 4 stars on it's durability, because thats what happened to my three year old. it will be returned tomorrow.

I am delighted to finally recieve a non defective doll house. This doll house coordinates with all of the other loving family accesories. What a great idea. my daughter loves this house and the sound effects are a great special touch. The hard plastic material that the dollhouse is made from does NOT ship well. The first two homes I recieved were cracked along the hinges in different areas. The floor of one level is slightly split now , but not worth a third trip to the post office with this huge box. Fisher price has never disappointed me in the past , but the production of this is not the best I've seen. There is no easy way to pick it up. for... I had hoped to get better quality.

I bought the whole set,my two year old toddlers love it. I work with them at a daycare and it keeps them busy. I hope to get the schoolhouse and post office next.

I got this for my daughter for her Birthday, she just turned 3. I also baught the carriage too, My best friend got her the sweetshop/styling salon to go with the ones I got her. She LOVES them all! My seven year old daughter and all her friends love these toys too! I love the fact there small and don't take up lots of space, They are such cute toys! I like playing with them too! My husband even admitted they were pretty cool : )
I just purchased the rest of the set, every single thing avaliable! You can even order a playmat for the town to set up on, The only thing is there is no place for the school on the playmat, It must be a new item? Anyway these toys are great! I Highly reccomend these!

You may be familiar with the Country House or the Beach house - this pet shop and beauty salon is another in the set.

The great thing about these little houses/shops is that they are small and portable - all the loose accessories fit inside and can be carried to Grandmas, your favourite restaurant or the doctors waiting room. There is enough loose accessories to have fun with but not so many that you can't keep track of them when packing up. The figures are small but not too small so that Mum and Dad can comfortably play along as well.

My daughter (2.5 years) has the country house and the beach house and she loves taking the "family" from those houses to visit the petshop and see the dogs. And she loves taking everyone down to the beauty salon for a haircut.

A fantastisc little doll house for portable play and a great little town to collect and role play with.

We had came back from toysrus. Dropped off the stuff inside our home and relaxed for about 20 minutes. Within that time, I got this set out since I was interested in it also, lol, and she was just too into it! She threw a fit when we had to pull her away from it because we had to leave again...! Which was fine in a way since we knew SHE really made a good choice on which set to buy. And she's only 2 and some months.

This is a very cute toy. My daughter received a giant dollhouse for her second birthday in December 2003 made by her grandpa, and then many Loving Family accessories to go in it. She loves all of it. Even after Christmas came and went (I realize it's only January but at two years old, toys often hold her interest for a very short time), the dollhouse and accessories are the hands-down favorite. I love all the Loving Family items. They are darling, and realistic down to the tiniest details. She loves the happy birthday song it plays, as well as the pizza party song. Her grandma has an older version at her house, which played three songs and seemed a bit simpler to use (no legs to fold down, just a button to push to change the table's theme music), but this one is still pretty neat. I worried my daughter would be a bit young for these items but she absolutely loves them! Nothing has broken so far but I gave it four stars because I am assuming it's somewhat delicate just because it is so small and has some small accessories.

My daughter just got this, along with the dollhouse and other accessories, for Christmas. She will be 3 in a week and a half. I think it's a wonderful addition to the house. She has lots of fun playing with it. She always wants it on the birthday party side, but I'm sure as she gets older she'll want to change it sometimes. The balloons sing Happy Birthday when you set them on an interactive spot in the house, and you can press the candle on the cake and the candle on the pizza side to get more music. I wish the booster attached better to a chair because it always falls off, but that's not a huge deal. This is a must have addition to your loving family dollhouse!
