Much better looking in person than in the picture. The sculpture is surperb and the paint is much more subtle and realistic than in the picture.

Hi Ho, Silver! Ever hear that call before? You might with this Breyer horse. The Lone Ranger's Silver is one of Breyers most beautiful creations. He is reared up to save the day. What is also great is that Silver comes with a video, titled: The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold. In that video, you can see Silver in action. I also recommend getting Tonto's Scout, Silver's and the Lone Ranger's sidekick. Get ready to saddle up!

I say that this toy is awesome (Dispite the price) I say "If your willing to collect/play with Breyer, your willing to lend the money.
These things don't come cheap now let me tell that. Well I started to collect them a while ago. I only have one because I sometimes have trouble finding a way to pay. Well, if your intrested in collecting, heres some thaings you might want. Barn,2-3 diffrent Breyer horses. (ones you like and can afford, and anything else you wanna add to a Breyer collection. I purchased this horse as an addition for my Horse collection and found that this was a TOY and not appropriate to add to my collection.

I was very disappointed and will give this to my grandson.

Also, I have paid less for nicer quality model horses, so if you are adding to an existing model horse collection, pass this by(...)

This is a very fine quality model of Rain that I would recommend to any fellow mare lover. The sculptor did an excellent job of giving her believable equine anatomy, yet she still has the look and beauty of Rain in the movie, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.

The model appears to be made of a heavy plastic and is well buffed to a dull sheen after painting. I have two of these and one of them has the seam on her croup so well smoothed that you cannot see where it is. The other has some minor sanding marks and a small depression that goes from the base of her tail, along her spine to her withers. This is only of concern to a collector, or mare fancier as it is not very noticeable. To me it detracts from the lovely, graceful shape of her rump and back. If you are worried make sure you look carefully before opening the box so you can return her and get another that pleases you.

There is a very small hole drilled in the left corner of her smile which I have been told by Breyer is so that the air can escape when the model is joined together. It is very minor and is much better than how they have done it in the past when they would poke a hole in the nostril of the model.

The painting is not perfect, but certainly acceptable. Her eyes are well indicated and her coat pattern closely follows that of her in the movie. Her mane and tail are flowing with some nice hollows and through-holes that simulate her hair wafting in the wind. She has a very cute expression with which you can't help fall in love.

Her pose is realistic and very stable on a table top. She is in tripod stance and we can see the bottoms of 3 of her hooves which actually have a very slight "V" at the heel and are slightly concave to indicate the frog and sole of a barefooted mare. This is a very nice detail that they added to her in my opinion. She can also be tilted back to balance on her hindlegs and tail so that she is rearing up in a very attractive manner! :) On the inside of her left hind upper leg she has a small silver painted logo of Spirit at the gallop. Summary: If you love horses in general, mares in particular, and Rain specifically, you will want to own this model. I will be buying at least two more for my collection. I use her for display still in her box, as a model for drawing her and horse anatomy, and as a reminder of how much I love horses and have enjoyed her movie, Spirit.

Hello, I am a 21 year old single mother of a little boy who will be turning 2 on April 25 and this horse is not hard to assemble at all!!! I dont know why so many people complain about how hard it is, but you just have to stick to it till the end. I did break out in a sweat, but hey this is good exercise!, and finished in half an hour. My son will be so thrilled to get this for his b-day since he always rides it when he sees it on display in toy stores and frankly, I dont know how much more my back could of handled being his "imaginary" horse but not anymore! LoL!

We have an active 2-year-old so for the birthday boy we purchased a Dakota spring horse at our local Toys R Us after researching these thru Amazon. The reviews I read were right, the assembly IS a nightmare. My husband is a furniture builder by trade and usually handy, but it took him over an hour, with ranting, to put this horse together. The assembly instructions make assumptions and are not particularly clear. It seems less thought was put into the direction book than should have been. HOWEVER, now that the horse is put together, it is a big hit with our son and the look on his face when he rides it makes even Daddy smile. Seems to be sturdy enough even for our rambunctious boy, a great climber, that didn't have any problem figuring out how to get on this toy. If you can possibly purchase this horse locally already assembled, it would be worth it. I think this will be something that will be played with a lot.

Do not let the other reviews scare you away from this great toy. The printed directions are a bit tricky to follow, but this is not hard to put together!! We were skeptical after reading reviews, but so happy that we decided to give it a go. Everything was in the box and ready to go. Our kids love it (perhaps not as much as nostalgic mom and dad do though!!!)

allthough I don't like barbies, I tried a demo of it(my sister wants to see it) And all you do is keep running to catch horses and that's all

This game is a great game for young girls. I got it for my daughter on PS2. She's ten and loved it. The story is basic, you have to rescue missing baby horses, but there are hidden coins and presents that let you unlock new outfits for Barbie and customize her horse. A couple of the puzzles were a little challenging, but nothing she couldn't figure out. It was fun for her to jump things and race her friends. Probably my biggest complaint is that controlling the horse takes a little to get the hang of, but after some practice, it became no problem. I recommend this game for any little girl who loves horses like my daughter. She and her brother had fun challenging each other with the multiplayer, too. It's not violent or dark and scary, just a fun and engaging adventure.

Like many girls my daughter loves horses. She is also fortunate enough to enjoy riding them too. And yes, in her spare time on those wet days, she has a lot of fun playing this game. Some aspects of the game are quite challenging at first - but learning it is part of the fun. We've had it for a month now and she's still discovering new things.

this is awesome! I love this. Its not even that fun but i luv it. alot. well anyways .....i think its a good game for young kids while older kids...well...its ..lets just say..not so good for them. So give a little kid this game and leave them with fun, or leave this game with an older kid and leave them with laughs..EITHER WAY THEIR HAVING FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought the game for my 6 1/2 year old granddaughters--they loved it except for the last race. It must be completed in 3 minutes and although they were doing everything right and doing it as fast as they could, the best time they could achieve was 3:21 min. Both became frustrated and haven't touched the game in 3 months. They found Nemo a much better challenge and the excitement when they completed the game was well worth the price.

I think that a girl over 11 would loose interest VERY quickly!

I just love Norwegian Fjords. They're my favorite pony breed so I bought this when it first came out a few years ago. My only complaint, I wish Breyer would come out with a new Norwegian Fjord. Maybe a foal or something...Oh, yeah. About the 2 stars for fun..This isn't really a fun toy. ..., these model horses are collector's items meaning don't give em to your 4-year-old to play with and bang up unless you like wasting money. However, if you have an older child who loves horses, this is definitely a great gift.

This Fjord horse is a very detailed model of many of the primitive horse breeds. Add stripes and he's a pretty good zebra. Change his color a bit, and he's a Mongolian wild horse or a Tarpan. This is a very versatile body type for customizers of models, probably the most versatile that Breyer makes.

First, I like this little guy's name. Makes me think of the Model T, which is appropriate since the Norwegian Fjord is one of the most primitive horses still in existance. It looks very much like the extinct Tarpan. Second, I'd like to salute Breyer for making models of lesser known horses so those of us who aren't likely to see one in the flesh can have an all around view of them. They've certainly captured the character of this spunky critter. He's on my shelf right next to Man 'O War and looks like he thinks he could take him on. Last, this toy is solid. Built just like the little Fjord, it's set low to the ground with sturdy legs and neck. Not likely to break easily.

This toy is pretty cool but the horse's hair is WAY TO LONG!!!!Maybe i am being to picky but the horse is not shaped the way it should be.The picture shows the barn open with the fence attached to the walls you can't attach the fence enless the barn is closed!Lots of tiny "perfume" bottles and cardboard things.There is a place to hang the Polly's clothes but the clothes don't stay on the hangers!There is a haystack that opens to a chair but she can't sit in it because her clothes won't bend that far!!!BUT over all the bad things it still is good toy for kids!

My 4 year old LOVES Polly Pocket. She loves all the little clothes, the tiny shoes, the accessories, the pets, the modes of transportation. Oh ... the adventures she and Polly and her friends have. She plays with it endlessly and has a great time.

I, as a parent, hate it. It's too small and fiddly for my big fingers ... and there is always something to be re-attached, re-configured or an item of clothing for Polly to put on that my daughter needs help with. She loves it when I sit down and play with her but I can't get my big fingers comfortable with this tiny toy.

I also have to constant worry of a choking hazard for her little brother (just turned 1) and I have to stand over her to ensure she packs up every single tiny piece of the set.

All the Polly Pocket sets we own have been gifts. As a parent - I would find something else to buy my daughter.

I am not a fan of this toy at all ... but then i am not a 4 year old little girl either.

Polly Pockets are very cute and fun toys. There rubbery clothes are easy to break but if you be careful they will last a long time. The Ride in Style Polly is so cute with the doll and the horse. I would recomend this toy to any girl from the age of 3 to 11. The Polly Dolls are fun for all ages!

This Arab stallion is black with 4 white stockings on his legs. He has a white blaze down his face. His head is lowered to a threataning pose with his tail raised to show his leadership. He is in a steady walking pose. This is a one of Breyer's most beautiful models. It is worth every dollar and coin spent.

This model depicts the Arabian breed pretty well. The only problem I have with it is my model sometimes has trouble standing because of the leg positions (and that's one thing about some models that really drives me crazy). But every horses is a little different, some have better legs than others.

I highly recommend this game to anyone who has a true interest in learning more about horses.

I got this game for my birthday.As soon as i opened it i had 2 play it.So we sat atthe table playin this game.It was fun but the answers were way to easy we ended up with everybody gettin every answer right so we just had 2 stop.I wish i could of played it longer but it got so boring i had to start playin herd your horses.A game a got last year for my birthday!So if u could make the game questions a little harder i would enjoy iy a lot lot more!

I havn't had that much of a chance to play this game but it is great. It is a trivia game for all horse lovers. you can play with up to four people. you have to answer enough questions of diffferent catagories such as care and riding to win.

I wish I had seen this spring horse before I purchased the
Disney Princess Spring Horse at Toys R Us for my 4 year old
granddaughter. I was told by Toys R Us that the manufacturer
of the Disney horse was dc planet toys. I can't get any informa-
tion from the manufacturer or anyone. She can't ride the horse
because the frame jumps when she rocks, the thing is really unsafe and I would discourage anyone from purchasing it. I can't
get my money back on the unsafe horse, or I would purchase the
Hedstrom 44" horse. The base is very different from the Disney
horse. Be sure you know what you are getting, before you spend
(...) Toys R Us. I just wish I had seen this horse then.

My twin girls (almost 3) love this horse!! We actually have an older version of it, but it is pretty much the same. Because ours is older, I can't say anything for the durability except that the one we have has lasted about 8 years. Every kid that comes to our house (usually around age 3-4) LOVES this horse!! It seems so simple, but my girls will take turns riding forever!! It does require an amount of supervision, especially with younger children. My girls also like it when I "bounce" them or "make the horsey go fast (bounce really fast)" They have lots of fun pretending, which is VERY educational! The assembly wasn't simple, but it wasn't terrible. Ours is hard to get level -- it took some twisting so it didn't rock. It is kind of big in our small playroom, but it actually wasn't as big as I expected. We plan to move it outside very soon.

I shopped around the internet for this horse and bought it here because it was the cheapest, but I didn't realize until I put it together that this one (from Amazon) DOES NOT have sound. Most "Midnight" models from Hedstrom have motion activated sounds. Also the paint was sprayed on very sparingly. Not the top quality I expected from Hedstrom. Too late now...
