Very addictive!
Classic Tetris Dx
Great Tetris Game!Tetris DX DOES Have a battery, but it's just basic tetris. I'm able to score at least 400,000 points regularly, so every time I top out I have to put up with that annoying rocket launch sequence, wheras with Tetris Worlds, when you top out, you can start the next game right away without having to put up with annoying rocket sequences. the bottom line: went I want to play Classic Tetris, I play Tetris DX. when I want Enhanced graphics and effects and Nostalgic Music, I play Tetris Worlds

Hours/Months of Fun For Coordinated PeopleMost of the songs really are pretty good. Some of my friends bagged on the very foreign feel of the game. No denial- this is a heavy load of Japanese weirdness. I really dig the whole deal, though, and I have soo much fun picking the game up any given time and playing through stages I've already beaten 100 times. It's that fun. At times, the control scheme allows the music to flow through you to where you truly feel you're playing an instrument.
Beginning with easy mode level 3, almost every song seemed absolutely impossible the first couple tries. You really just have relax and feel the music- the type of note sounds and sequences each stage has. Hard mode was a fun new challenge because you suffer more damage when you mess up, so near-mastery is required.
And then, there's the Master mode. The verses are entirely new, faster, and more complex... but the songs are even better. Every level blows you away your first few tries. At this point, if the music doesn't flow through you, you've got no chance. This highlights one problem, though- if you miss a note, then you don't get to hear it. So it's really tough to learn new, challenging verses when you can't hear how they go. Each song that you do master on this level, though, remains fun and challenging as long as you own the game. I still play through Master Mode levels 2, 3, and 4 once or twice almost daily for fun.
Level 7, though, the Sanbone Trio stage, is INSANELY DIFFICULT! You have to pass an opening sequence that requires you change the controller's position in your hands on the fly twice, just to get to some damn near impossible verses. If I ever beat this level...... I'll be very happy. This is my big, and probably only gripe with the game. Maybe also that levels 5 and 6 are not a chellenge at any difficulty. But [the money I paid] has never brought me more entertainment.
Time for a More Serious ReviewGitaroo Man is a music game that most people will be familiar with as long as they have played something like Parapa the Rappa. Like all games in this growing genre it is essentially timed button presses but fortunately Koei added some inovation. Thanks to the use of the analog stick you feel like you are playing an instrument but herein lies a problem. You need hand-eye coordination. If anyone reading this has a problem coordinating their hands and eyes please look at another product because this will be too difficult for you.
It took me alone a good while to learn how to perform these functions all at once. The songs are fun and catchy and, unlike Parapa, are very challenging. What I like about this is that even if you've beaten the same level 8 times, try it again and you'll probably have to resart a few times.
Initially you won't like the weird Japanesee feel or the steep learning curve but give it a try and soon you'll be hooked. While things like the battle mode seem wild at first soon you can pass by without much trouble. Just follow these steps and you'll be fine.
1. Listen to the music. It is easy to get lost in guard mode but once you learn the music more it is much easier to dodge the musical onslaught.
2. Follow the buttons as they go on the screen, not as they sound. I found myself pressing the buttons before they got to the center and I lost fairly quickly, concentrate on them getting to the center before pressing them and soon the music and the buttons coordinate perfectly.
3. Don't worry about the CPU's health. First concentrate on your own hide by dodging. When the tracker comes so you can attack, don't worry about hitting him, just hit the buttons at the right time. If you can save your own skin for a while and not screw up while attacking then the CPUs go down much much easier.
Well, I like the game but I am also disapointed on how few people will play it. Oh well, I guess some things just aren't going to happen.
Rock'n out Anime style

This cartridge definitely has more cute factor than the others- using a licensed character to teach the concepts... But it's working. My daughter loves her Leapster. She's almost five...

5-4-3-2-1 * RACK-0 * I WIN!!
Racko is a very fun game!RACKO is very fun, and involves a lot of strategy. The rules are simple enough that kids can enjoy the game as well, making RACKO a fun game for the entire family.

If done in order, the 30 puzzles in Mighty Mind progress in difficulty from using two semi-circles to make a circle, to using all 32 pieces to make a shape similar to a train with cow-catcher! The first 20 puzzles provide color clues in the picture to assist a child in selecting the needed shapes, but the last 10 are without clues and are the most challenging.
I'm at amazon checking the price vs. the manufacturer's website (1smartkid). The price here is a few cents more and is very likely for the PLASTIC shape pieces. The toy was originally made from very nice, colored WOODEN pieces and still is, but for about three dollars more. I'd recommend splurging for it - I don't know how well the plastic pieces would take being stepped on. The pieces do tend to fall to the floor - either by accident or in frustration! We are missing three shape pieces and I found the manufacturer's website while searching for replacement pieces, which can be had for about half the price of a new game. Instead of buying replacement pieces, I decided to upgrade to the wooden Super Mind set instead (exact same 32 shapes).
I just bought two dozen of these games at a fifteen percent case-discount from the manufacturer! I went to their site looking for replacement pieces for the wooden Mr. Mighty Mind (old name)and decided to buy birthday gifts for my two kids' friends in advance since my own children really enjoy this game. I bought a dozen of the Mighty Minds for the 3 year-olds for when they turn 4, and a dozen Super Minds for the 5 year-olds for when they turn 6. My daughter just turned 5 and is getting bored with Mr. Mighty Mind and I'm sure her age group will enjoy the more challenging Super Minds more. Mighty Mind is great for a 5 year old if they haven't done it before - but after hours and hours with it the more challenging Super Mind will be more fun.
TIP: I like to find an age-appropriate, gender-neutral gift for my kids to give as gifts, buy it in bulk (often at a discount!)and spend an hour wrapping them all in advance. I also had a roll of personalized stickers made for each of my kids that say "Happy Birthday from (Name)" and I put the stickers on after wrapping. SO MUCH CHEAPER than buying individual cards! Then, the day of a bday party, we grab a wrapped gift from the hall closet and go!
Mighty Mind and/or Super Mind are both great gifts for this purpose, because even if the child already has one, another set makes if more fun to play with a friend instead of all alone!

NASCAR Rumble lets you race 18 different courses in 6 locations from Daytona Beach to the Gold Country as you tear your way to the finish line. Even if you manage to find yourself in first place during the race, there is no guarantee that you're going to maintain your lead when you hit the finish line. Drivers can pick up crazy power-ups such as twisters and sonic booms, which send cars in front of them flipping off the track at the most inopportune times.
Graphics are stunning, from the water, trees, and mountains to the eye-popping detail of more than 30 NASCAR Cup cars and trucks. There are even seven NASCAR Legends, hidden rides, hidden tracks, and shortcuts, as well as a head-to-head two-player mode.
Purists may prefer NASCAR 2000, also from EA Sports, but in terms of action, NASCAR Rumble makes for a great trip. --Robb Guido
Pros:
- Wild, crazy, insane racing action, especially when you play in Mayhem mode
- Gorgeous graphics considering the speed of this game
- Not as deep or realistic as NASCAR 2000

Uplink-A review
Unique, suspenseful, and excitingAhhh, Uplink. Another one of those games that most people have never heard of. And if you haven't heard of it, and you are looking for an exciting and unique simulation, then you have been missing out. Uplink: Hacker Elite isn't just the only game of its kind. It is also an excellent game.
The game has a basic premise. You are a freelance hacker in the year 2010, free to commit all sorts of cyber crimes however you would like. It's kind of like Grand Theft Auto in cyberspace. It is executed very well. The simulation never gets "out of character", so to speak. The start game screen isn't even a typical start game screen - it's a "login" screen onto the game's virtual network.
What this game does a great job of doing is giving you a feeling of mischief that comes from poking your nose into places it is not supposed to be. You accept jobs off of a bulletin board, sabotaging corporate data, breaking into banks, and doing other assorted dirty deeds. You break into secure systems by hacking passwords, disabling firewalls, and other methods, and then work as fast as you can before you are traced. It's very exciting, and it gives you a devious pleasure when you successfully sabotage a company's files.
"Uplink: Hacker Elite" has all sorts of different things to explore. Did you get caught and get yourself a criminal record? Hack into the criminal database and erase it! Are you going to destroy a corporate database? Buy the stock of the company's competitor and make some money off of it. You have to either experiment and figure this stuff out for yourself, or use a walkthrough from the internet. The difficulty level of the game is insane, and it gives you almost no hints.
This game is certainly not for everyone. You will probably either love it or hate it. It requires lots of brainpower, experimentation and planning, and it can get extremely frustrating. This game is very unforgiving, and does not allow you to reload a saved game if you get caught (but there are ways around that). However, you won't find anything else like it out there, and it's very well done. If stealing files from a corporation and then framing someone else for the crime sounds like fun to you, then "Uplink: Hacker Elite" is the game for you.
A must have for gamers
