Honor of the Samurai Card Game
Made by Gamewright
    Amazon base price: $14.99
    List price: $19.99 (that's 25% off!)
The Honor of the Samurai is a card game of intrigue, honor, and shame set in 16th-century Japan. The historical richness of this period is written into the game directions. The object is to serve your warlord and become the most honorable samurai of the land. As you seek honor, you must also protect yourself from attack. To do this, you need to gain power by raising armies, having ninja at your disposal, and guarding yourself with castles. The game requires planning and strategy. Includes 110 cards that have three basic attributes--honor, ki, and strength--each of which includes a number value. The beautifully drawn cards depict historical figures and authentic dress and design. There are six custom dice, and each face of these die has a family crest and an assigned numerical value. A Games magazine selection. --Margaret Quinn

    Honor of the Samurai
Honor of the Samurai is a great, intriguing game that all players will find interesting. It is played with cards, similar to the game Magic. Every player starts out with two main characters. Then you add cards on to the layout of the cards in front of you.Every card has a certain number of honor you collect every turn. When a player has 400 honor he/she wins the game. Cards also have ki to determine how many actions they get every turn, as well as strength to assist in attacking or defending. Cards can be stolen, so you have judge what to put down and what to hold onto in your hand. All cards have strengths and weaknesses, so again you must determine what you need to put down.
This a game composed of luck as well as strategy. It is educational in the way of strategy, but if you want to learn about Feudal Japan, find something else. This is an intriguing, fun game that is hard to stop playing. It is definitely a worthwhile purchase.

    Honor of the Samurai
Truly a great game, and well worth the purchase.

As a toy it is great fun, easy to play, and never the same game twice. Further, I well appreciate a fast paced, action packed card game where there is no booster packs or additional cards to purchase. All you need is in one box, ready to go and easy to use.

For its educational value, I'd give the game points for its historical accuracy, but limited, as most games are, I'd not use it to teach about Feudal Japan. Still, it remains a strategy game. Played well it can prove as thought-provoking as chess and serve to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Durability? I'd say it's as durable as the next, but I will award points for being well designed and put together. Unlike other games I've played, it's easy to get the game out of the box, and more so, everything can be put back (and fit) just as neatly as when I first opened it. And this, of course, keeps the game looking nice.

Over all, a great purchase... and one I will get use out of time and again.

The Card Game of Intrigue, Honour, and Shame
As an avid collector of board and card games, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of this title. While not as educational as some family games available, there are significant lessons to be learned. Younger players can build skills such as basic strategy and understanding the value of diplomacy. Older, more serious players can appreciate this game for its simple mechanics, subtle gameplay, and competitive gaming environment. Add this to the fun of interacting with other players in the political arena of ancient Japan, and Honor of the Samurai is sure to please. Highly Recommended.

Wonderful Way to spend an Evening
I played my first game of dominos with this set, and I had a blast! The "train" game is very easy to follow. It's a great way to spend some time with a few friends who aren't into trivia games.

      New Family Tradition Born
This was a Christmas gift for my family, and I taught them how to play, based on how I was taught several months ago. Everyone (all ages) LOVED the game! This set is just beautiful, and feels like quality/money in your hands. The dot colors are awesome, and when I had to play on a b&w set the whole game was different. I highly recommend this set, and am ordering several more for myself and friends! The dominoes are very fine. You will enjoy this purchase.

What a fun new twist to a classic game!
We took this set on vacation and aside from playing regular dominoes we also played one of the new games that was suggested in the box. What a blast!

My sister in law also mentioned that my 2 year old nephew also loves playing with these dominoes with her or on his own. He likes to match the colors and is learning to quickly count or identify the dot patterns and their numerical equivalent.

I recommend this game for families or for adults who enjoy getting together to play games.

This game is amazing. College students, this is where it's at! So much fun and there's no stopping the insanity!! I would reccomend this game to everyone, it's great for parties, entertaining, sitting around with friends, whatever. Totally amazing!

        R & R has another winner!
Brad parks, Phil Esposito, Mark Messier, Steve Vickers, Tomas Sandstrom, Marcel Dionne, Adam Graves and Wayne Gretsky all have what in common? First they all play hockey and secondly they all played for the New York Rangers.Describe Rush Limbaugh using any word you want. Now try to do the same thing in one word or better yet no words, think you can? If so then you are ready to play Time's Up by RNR Games, the game that has you winning by collecting the most names in the three rounds.

Following the easy directions, you deal out 40 cards between the players, make sure every player has the same number a cards, pick either the yellow or blue names and begin the fun. While the games ages are 12 and up, some of the names may be a little advanced for the younger players.

Round one you can use any word(s) to describe the name but you can't pass. Round 2 1 words clues gives you 1 guess per clue and passing is allowed. Round 3 is the best of all, with pantomimes and noises, again 1 guess per name and passing is allowed.

You get 30 seconds per team per round; you can change this to more time to add even more fun. Also the number of cards dealt out can increase for even more points. The game is broken down into 8 categories from Artist to Writer and you have easy to hard names. RNR Games has done it again!

Continuing the galaxy-spanning Star Ocean series, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time picks up the saga of Fate Linegod as he journeys with his family and friend, Sofia Esteed, to a protected planet under the control of the Galaxy Federation. Peace is short-lived as the planet is attacked and destroyed by unknown alien troops. As Fate and the survivors make their way toward a refugee camp, they come under attack yet again, and Fate's parents are lost. With that, the action and adventure of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time begins. The game features several new innovations in role-play gaming, including a real-time combat system in which characters have complete freedom of movement. Star Ocean: Till the End of Time also incorporates incredibly detailed real-time 3-D environments, which offer a 360-degree viewing radius that immerses players in vivid panoramic worlds.

One of the best RPG game is coming out soon.
If you remember the old Star Ocean, people will say that it had some fantastic graphic and music. Beware, fans of Star Ocean. The sequel to the game, Star Ocean 3, will be coming out with full 3-D graphic.

The battle system has changed a lot compared to the old Star Ocean. The characters that go into battle has been reduced to 3 characters from 4 characters. The reason they reduced it was because they wanted to make the battle system simple and to make the game hard. Some people complained about the old Star
Ocean because it was hard to find out where the characters were in the map, but Enix has fixed that problem.

*Sorry that the name of the characters are misspelled.

The background of the game is space, just like the old Star Ocean. The main character(human), Pait, goes on vacation to the planet Hida with his parents and his beautiful(you'll find out what I mean)sister. Unfortunately, Pait gets separated from his sister and parents because someone invades the planet Hida. After this, the main story begins.(Which I don't know)

?= I don't know how to spell it.

There are 6 main characters in this game and 5 races. The races are human, ?(an angel looking like race), ?(a race of a planet which I don't know how to spell. They are able to travel space), Fox Tail(a race that has fox ears and tails), and Blue Dolphin.

This game is going to be for gamers who love action RPG games like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. Thank you!

          little backround history
Seeing as the game hasn't been released yet this review is intended for those just looking into the series. You see star Ocean Till the end of time is actually Star Ocean 3. The original Star Ocean was a spinoff to Tales of Phantasia. By the way Tales of Phantasia is going to be rereleased for the Game boy advanced sometime later this year! Both the original star ocean and ToP never were released in the U.S but both can be found fansubbed as roms for the SNES. The 2nd star ocean was the first one realeased in the U.S and contained 86 endings! There's an anime series (unlicensed in the U.S) called Star Oceacn Ex that is based off of Star Ocean 2: a second story. There were tons of customizable options as well as being able to create your own items through skill that you developed by gaining expierence and fighting. Each character had so many techniques such as cooking and alchemy. Simply put the Star Ocean series are separate story lines with not much connection to them except high class cultures getting being forced to live in primitive places with magic and a Tolkein like atmosphere. Science Fiction meets fantasy. A signature of the series includes active real time battle situational fighting. This is a nice break from the turn based typical rpg stuff that we are used to. Star Ocean 3 will be the first 3 dimensional atmosphere and after observing the trailer, looks excellent! CG films are beautiful and the upgrade to 3-d will be a plus. The Star Ocean series are acknowledged for there, breathtaking, beautiful artwork and music that will put you in such a trance you will feel like your on morphine. The 5 star review is based off of my expierance with the 3 previous titles released under their name. I can't wait for this game to be released!
sigh... Setbacks have pushed the U.S release date back to september of 2003

          Ummm.. yeah
I just have a question... If I post questions in the reviews section of Amazon.com, am I an idiot? Anyone?

Tremendously better than regular Game Boy.
The Game Boy Color is a must have for any true fan! Not only are games now in color but the images are sharper and the sound has improved. I would suggest purchasing a different color console though if you are a male. Although the title of it says "Berry", it is more like a hot pink. It can be a bit awkward with such an unusual color for a boy to have but the features of the console itself far outweigh that detail. The only thing that I could find was missing from the Game Boy Color was a contrast adjustment. Unlike the traditional Game Boy, you are now unable to adjust the darkness/lightness of the screen. I sometimes find myself struggling to view the contents of the screen but it isn't that much of a problem. I definetly suggest that you buy the Game Boy Color, you won't regret it!

            Best Consol
This is the best game boy ever. The color is great and it has so many differnt games to choose from. Also you can take it anywhere because it is portable. I don't think thers one con about a gameboy color. If you don'y have one buy one immidently

            Close to Perfect!
Game Boy Color is absolutely fabulous. It's compact, and has a wide variety of games to purchase. Game Boy Color comes handy especially on long trips in the car with nothing to do, because this gives you something to do! The fact that it's in color is great, and that it comes in neat colors is great, too. It's definetly worth every penny.

            The Original Rummikub
            Made by Pressman Toy
              Amazon base price: $10.99
It's hard to find family games that are fun and challenging for both kids and adults, but Rummikub fills the bill on all counts. The rules are simple, the game is varied, and the fun is free for everyone! This version of Rummikub has 106 plastic tiles with numbers in different colors and four dark-blue plastic tile racks to hold the tiles during play. The object is similar to rummy card games, combining your tiles in runs (consecutive numbers in the same color) or sets (groups of the same number). The game rolls along at a fast clip, with wild-card joker tiles adding a bit of luck to the strategy needed to win. Get this game out the next time the power goes off and show the kids some old-fashioned fun. --Marcie Bovetz

Durable version of a fun game
Rummikub is basically the card game of Rummy transferred to tiles -- plastic tiles that resemble ivory in this case -- in a manner similar to Mah-Jongg tiles. The game rules are similar to Rummy. This is a durable set. There is some strategy in the game, but no more than in many card games, and luck remains a major component. Rummikub can be enjoyed by adults, kids, or a mixed-age group, making it a good game for families to buy. Chris da dolphin boy thanks you for reading this review.

              Challenging & Enjoyable
I have this tiles game for 6 yrs and I find it through these game sessions, we have built a closer relationship amongst friends and families. I am glad to introduce this tiles game to colleagues in my new company and we look forward playing the game during our lunch time. Now it takes only 10 mins for 5 of us to dispose all our tiles.

              Fun, Educational, and Easy
Rummikub is a grouping of tiles, like in the card game Rummy or Gin Rummy. The tiles are divided by color and number, and include 2 wilds. On your turn, you either take a new tile or try to set up groups of at least 3 using your tiles and the ones in play. The groups must be the same number, but different color (a set) or the same color, but consecutive numbers (a run). This can be thought-provoking, when you want to take from completed sets, but have to replenish the set. I recommend this for a relaxing and educational family game.

              Target Card Game
              Made by Enginuity LLC
                Amazon base price: $9.99
The Target card game takes only 5 minutes to learn and is fun for the whole family. Five target cards are placed face up in the center of the table, and each card describes a winning hand. Players take turns drawing a new card and attempting to match one of the target card combinations showing on the table. The rules are simple and the target cards make it easy for everyone to see what it takes to win. The game comes with one pack of target cards and one pack of playing cards. --Margaret Quinn

                Addicting
My family and my kids friends all love this game. We play it every chance we get. The kids (13 & 14 yr.old boys) even choose this over Playstation sometimes. Around here that seldom happens with other games.

                A lot of fun
I got this game for my mom's birthday. She's a game nut, and it seems like each time I see her she has a new game to try out. This one is especially fun because it's simple to understand (there's not much referring to the rules to figure out what you're supposed to be doing) and it's really fast-paced. I hate spending half my time playing a game waiting for someone to take their turn. There's none of that with Target. It's fun, and the action constantly changes.
I recommend the game to anyone tired of the typical card game.

                This game is so addictive!
My husband and I play this game at least once a day, and I don't think we will ever get bored. This is a game where skill and luck are needed. But skill can be dashed quickly, so it can be only luck for a few hands. Even if the cards are poorly shuffled, the game still plays great. Highly recomended!

One of the best PRO games ever!!!
i played the demo type on the Tony Hawk 4 game and i thought it sucked at first. but once i got the hang of it, it got really fun. I REALLY RECOMEND THIS GAME BECAUSE IT IS WAY BETTER THAN KELLY SLATER PRO SURFBOARDER!!! If u don't want to buy this game right away and want to try it out, rent, borrow , OR play the demo on THPS4!

                  This Game Is Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey you've got to try this game. If you like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer, Shawn Palmer's Pro Snowboarder, and Dave Mirra's pro BMX then you would like this game. Its like the same controls to all these games. Its graphics are good, and the cheats are cool!!This game is real cool so you should test it at least! I rated this game a 5 star game because it is just sooo fun. Try It!!!!

                  very good game

                    Better than FIFA, but
I gotta tell ya, I loved this game when I first played it. If you are thinking what to get FIFA or WE7, choose the second. It's fun for a really long time.

I played this game from 2 star difficulty to 4 star. It was fun. But now it's just frustrating. I own 4 star... I have 60% ball posession, 20 to 3 shots on target. And I lose 1-3.

It's VERY annoying. I get a striker in front of the keeper, alone, 10 meters from the goal. I tap the shoot button, the striker digs the ball and sends it high to the sky... ok... I try again, I get my 90-accuracy, 90-shot power striker 15 meters from the goal. I shoot. He shoots with his strong foot, but like 5 meters wide. -_- Ok. I try more. Every time my strikers mess up. Once, I lose the ball. The striker runs, shoots from 40 meters out, gets perfect top corner past my world-class goalie. I check his stats - 50 shot accuracy, 40 shot power.

                    Um, what???

This game may be more realistic, it may have way more stats and tactic options that FIFA, yes it has all that, but it also has something that totally ruins it.

It switches players for you. A lot. And when you want a certain player to go for the ball and try to switch automatically, he rarely gets switched to.

Imagine this: one striker, one defender, one goalie. You control the defender. You're running along with the defender, in a second you'll tackle him. At that instant, the game switches players, because the defender who was supposed to mark that particular forward came within reach. The defender you were using simply runs away - it's not his job to mark the guy. The forward jogs, fools the keeper as if he was a third grader and taps the ball into the empty net.

                    Sound realistic enough?

Or, you intercept a pass in opponent's box, but let the ball go too far. Theoretically, you have posession, because you touched the ball last. But the ball's too far away, so the controller switches to some defender on the other side of the pitch. And what do the rest of the players do? What any player should do when your partner got a ball near the box - make a run. So instead of having my players chase the ball, all 5 or 6 of them run like idiots towards the goal while the opponent defender simply clears it way out.

Defenders going up is another awesome thing. I've got my best defender, my central fullback, sent off. Next thing I see when I get a corner is BOTH of the remaining defenders in the opponent's box. Guess what happens next? Opponent clears the ball, my defensive mid watches their striker take the ball, run, do the same fake on the keeper and shoot the ball in.

Or take the "awesome" way the players go for the ball. If the opponent touched the ball the last and it's going over the endline, and NOBODY is going to get it, it seems imperative that your player runs (without your being able to control him) to get the ball, tries to trap it right before it crosses the line, and voila, you got a corner instead of a goal-kick. And then on that same corner, your keeper barely stops a header and it goes right back to the opponent striker... Oh no, why would you run? Five of my players, both within a slide-tackle reach from the player, stare as he puts the ball in.

Note that this happens to the comp 100 times less than it does to you.

No, I know, WE7 has many awesome options. You can do so much that you can't do in FIFA 2004. You can't score with a defender from 50 yards out 9 out of 10 shots you make, for example. But if this game is realistic, my uncle is Bill Gates.

Great potential. But the controlling of the players needs to be improved a LOT.

                    Better than EA FIFA
This is my very first PC soccer/football game and I think it's, it's fun and fantastic. My favorite features are:

                    1) Training mode - you can practice your gameplay before heading out on one of the play modes
                    2) Edit and create players - put yourself into the game with uber abilities. You can also edit the existing players. My USA Team can hang with the best and finally win the big one.
                    3) Comp vs Comp - it's like watching a soccer game on the telly. You can let the comp make all the decision or you can just play the manager by selecting formations, strategy, etc and then just watch the action.
                    4) Master league mode - there's no MLS league here which IMO is a bummer yet I can play the Euro teams I've never heard of.

The graphics are very well done and there doesn't appear to be any fps lag at all. Some people have reported problems with game speed, either it's too fast or too slow. Though I have not experience that at all. The gameplay is very smooth and fluidic. I still need to practice passing a lob. It's not as easy as with a FIFA game. It's probably my lack of skills.(...)

                    Best soccer for PC
I have played just about every soccer game out there made for a PC and this is by far the best. Gameplay is awesome, doesn't matter what team or what players, it's just fun to play this game. I agree with some people that at times, especially at the beginning, it can be hard to shoot, but with time it gets better. Passing and through balls are very nice. Player names are not very accurate (Japanese translations probably) but you can edit everything in this game, player name, face, uniform, shoes, name pronounciation and even name on the jersey. You can also create your own players and teams. When you win tournaments and cups you get points to open new features and even classic teams.
If you want a real soccer game, this is it. Forget EA Fifa titles. This game is the closest it comes to real soccer.
