Dog Dice Game
Made by Gamewright
Age Group: 5 - 8 years
    Amazon base price: $
    List price: $12.99 (that's NaN% off!)
Gamewright's Dog Dice, a Bingo game with a variety of lovable canine personalities, is an addictive pleasure for both kids and adults. Rather than numbers, the playing boards are decorated with squares depicting four dogs eating, frolicking with their child-owner, groveling for food, and getting into mischief. The title refers to the two dice that act as command central of the game: one die features the four distinctive dogs (Gizmo the mutt, Stretch the dachshund, Gigi the poodle, and McDuff the Scottie); the second die displays elements of a dog's life (pictures of a bone, food dish, the kid, a doghouse, plus the word trouble). Players match the two dice to a square on their boards--Gizmo in his doghouse, for example--then mark that picture with a small cardboard bone. The first to get a row of marked squares yells "Hot Dog!" and wins. In an ingenious twist, one can also achieve "Hot Dog!" by marking, canine-style, the four corners of one's playing board. The only drawback to this enchanting game is that there are only four boards in the set, thus limiting the number of players. Winner of awards from Dr. Toy and the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio. Dog Dice is for two to four players.

    Better than Bingo
Santa left this in our 3 year old daughters stocking (probably because he knew how much we enjoy Landlock, another Gamewright game). She had no trouble grasping the simple rules and yips with glee after every roll. The game has helped her with patience and turn taking and she was very happy to see that dogs can get into trouble too, not just 3 year olds. We've lost a few of the bone place holders but there are lots of spares provided and our dice have held up fine (possibly because we tend to play on the rug instead of at a table).

    Fun Family Game
Our daughter received this game for her 5th birthday. We've enjoyed many hours of playing it with her. It is fun and easy enough for her to play well and win (without cheating). Grownups get into it too! A worthwhile investment and a great edition to your games cupboard!!

    Great hit in school-based use!
Overall, I have to say this is a great game that kids of all ages enjoy. I recommend Dog Dice to anyone - whether you are a parent looking for a fun game for your children or an educator looking to expand your classroom repertoire of games. Get this game, you won't regret it!

As a speech-langauge pathologist in an elementary school, I am constantly looking for fun, durable, and educational games to use in therapy. Dog Dice has met all my requirements - at least to some degree. This game is one of the more popular games with my students. It is played by at least 3 kids four or five times a day. The kids love this game and don't realize that they are learning to attend to details as well as improving visual discrim skills. My one complaint is this - the bones are somewhat fragile and I've had to staple the middle of several to prolong their lives. Is there any way I can get some more to supplement the original supply? The dice have held up well and still have all the colors intact - unlike other people's dice.

    Jumbo Sequence: Box
    Made by Jax Ltd Inc
      Amazon base price: $
Jumbo Sequence is a game of strategy played on a colorful, cushioned vinyl playing mat (32 by 27 inches). Each player or team tries to score the required number of five-card sequences before their opponents can. To begin the sequence, a player discards one card and marks that card on the playing mat with a colored crowning chip. The player or team then attempts to mark a sequence of five cards up, down, across, or diagonally on the playing surface. Jumbo Sequence is an easily understood game for two pals or a crowd playing on teams. Includes 104 playing cards and 50 crowning chips in each color: red, blue, and yellow. --Margaret Quinn

      All our friends are hooked!
We bought the original Sequence game and loved it. So much fun!! Then we went to a friend's house and played the JUMBO Sequence and fell in love with that. It is so much easier to see and reach the game mat. Once you've played the JUMBO version you'll never want to go back to the original. All of our neighbors, friends, and family are hooked on this game and we never tire of it.

      We love this game !
This game is great for parties. The mat fits perfectly on the kitchen table. We have teams with 2 people on each team, even the kids join in. The mat is very durable....spills can just be wiped right off.

This game is so much fun!
This is a game that every household should own. It is very entertaining and gets more fun as you increase the number of players. It is very challenging and keeps you on your toes! My 7-year old loves to play it as much as we do.

Nitro Kart like a blast of Nitrous - Big Smile!
CRASH NITRO KART is basically a racing game. But it's a well-executed, good graphics, and a psycho amount of weapons and dangers kind of racing game! The gist is you chose to either play as one of Crash's team or one of the EVIL team members. Each character has varying levels of speed or turning ability, and this makes it all the more difficult! Add to that the varying levels of tracks, and multiple ways you can play (adventure, single race, time trial, etc!).

People will compare it to Mario Kart, but it's really comparable to any number of racing games from Simpson's Road Rage to Cartoon Network's Speedway. What makes this game tick are the surprises you get as you advance up the game levels. Hidden drivers crop up, new cheats, etc! By the end of it all you can even unlock characters like SPYRO who aren't even in CRASH games usually. This is a lot of fun, and works really well on the GBA. Cute enough for kids, but also challenging enough for adults. I found it actually very challenging to ramp up my driving skills. This was not easy to just pick up and instantly be a pro!

The Cube Link Advance cable connects the GameCube to the portable Game Boy Advance, allowing users to share information between games, access hidden areas, download minigames, and more. The cable can only be used with games designed to be compatible with this function. The cable is 6 feet long. One end attaches to the top of the Game Boy Advance and the other to an open controller port on the GameCube.

GBA to Game Cube "link cable" features and gameplay
It's to my understanding that, as of this writing, there are only 2 games on the market that take advantage of the features available with the use of this cable: "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle" and "Animal Forest" (Japanese-only). But, that's just the beginning!

        "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle":
If you've played Dreamcast's "Sonic Adventure" or "Sonic Adventure 2", then you're already enamoured with the beloved little critters called "Chaos" (pronounced "ch" as in "chocolate"). With Game Cube's version, "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle", just remove your Game Cube controller from it's port, plug one end of this "Cube Link Advanced" cable into it, and connect your GBA to the other end. You can then transfer Chaos from your Game Cube's "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle" game to your GBA.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Oh, I could do the same thing with the Dreamcast VMU. I transferred my Chao from my 'Sonic' game to my VMU, then took it for a 'walk' and played games with it." But, no! A Chao on a Dreamcast VMU doesn't come anywhere close to a Chao displayed in 32bit color on your GBA. And you'll be able to play REAL games with your Chao, like "Chao Karate" and "Chao Racing", just to name a few!

"Animal Forest" (Japanese-only at this time):
Even though I own a Japanese-import Game Cube, I have yet to get my hands on this game. Therefore, I can't tell you first-hand about what transfers to the GBA and it's gameplay thereafter. However, it looks like it'll be very similar to what I described above with the Chaos.

Another function of this "GBA-to-Game Cube" cable is that it will allow the use of a GBA as a Game Cube controller (with compatible games only). For instance, you'll be able to plan "secret" football plays on your GBA, then execute them in the Game Cube game so that your opponent won't be able to see them coming!

        Totally Amazing
Many months ago, my friend had a GameBoy Advance and I thought it was pretty dull. It was just another Gameboy handheld with nothing new. Then I realized. This small handheld had the same amount of bits as PS1!!! I never stopped to look at the graphics- which were amazing. He had F-Zero and Rampage Puzzle Attack, both great games, and I couldn't stop playing it when he let me borrow it.

A few days later, I purchased one with F-Zero Maximum Velocity. I couldn't sleep knowing I had it. Every second I would be playing it. It was the best handheld I ever had (I have had GameBoy, GameBoy Color, Gamegear, and NeoGeo). I had tons of hours of fun with it.

2 months later I went to Circuit City and in the video game section they had three competing consoles- PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox. It was the first time i heard of Gamecube and Xbox and since most of my friends had PS2, I had decided to get one of the others. I took home a convenient mini-disc the same size as a Gamecube game disc and put it in my computer. It had previews of many games the Gamecube would be launching.

This started my research of which one i should buy. I heard different opinions about both and most liked Gamecube. Plus it was 100 bucks cheaper which really helped my decision. I myself have always been promoting Nintendo. I have Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, and what would be a great add to the collection would be the GameCube!!!

A few days after my decision, my friend told me that Gameboy Advance could hook up to Gamecube, which really surprised me. I thought that would be awesome. The second after Christmas I became a Gamecube fanatic, and an anti-Xbox. Everything about Xbox makes me shudder. I don't even want to start about all the crappy features and all this Megahertz stuff. WHO CARES IF IT HAS A HARD DRIVE!!! All anyone cares about is the games!!! And the Gamecube games are excellent. I have done some research about what games that I would look foward to. Then i saw Kirby's Tilt and Tumble 2!! I downloaded a video about it and that great Shigeru guy was displaying how it worked. GBA was hooked up to the Gamecube and used as a controller to tilt Kriby around. This would be just like the Gameboy's classic but in a mixture of 128-bit and 32-bit graphics. Then I learned about the many games that would take advantage of this cable. Sonic was one of them. The first one I heard about was Animal Forest+, which is a sequel to the Japanese's N64 version. This looks like a great game.

When I saw a picture of this cable here, I was stunned. I thought: Now it's official. There is certainly gonna be all the great features Nintendo has promised before. The Wavebird controller. And the Internet connections. When I saw this I new i had to make a review. This cable is incredibly spectacular and a must-have if you have Gamecube and GBA. If I took the time to write this whole thing just for a 10 dollar cable that can do great things, you know it's good.

        i can t wait
i hav been goin to the video game store evry day to c if this is out, its gonna b great and i cant wait!

        L/E Pokemon Crystal Bundle

This limited-edition Game Boy Color console in the color of kiwi comes with a free copy of the game Pokémon Crystal. Quantities are limited, so catch yours while you can!

The Game Boy is that small, colorful handheld video game system that's clutched by folks playing it everywhere. Popular within a wide age group, including a good number of airport-lounging power executives, the Game Boy has a true hard-core fan base that comprises millions of kids around the globe.

Nintendo's Game Boy debuted in the late 1980s, and has since sold more than 60 million units worldwide--far outpacing other handheld game systems. With a catalog of more than 1,000 games and dozens of add-on peripherals, the Game Boy is a monster of a handheld game system, and a remarkably affordable one at that. Early March 1998 brought the release of the Game Boy Color system--an upgraded version of the original. It's equipped with an 8-bit CPU, which doubles the original Game Boy's computing power. The small LCD screen can display up to 56 colors simultaneously--out of a 32,000-color palette--delivered via boosted video-processing memory that provides remarkably sharp and vibrant graphics.

The hundreds of available games vary from tremendously compelling to instantly forgettable. Quality or not, the entire library of games designed for the original system is playable on Game Boy Color, but buyers should note that not all Game Boy Color games will work on the original Game Boy system.

The Game Boy Color system is available in an exotic array of colors and special editions. Accessories and add-on peripherals abound, enhancing the playing experience with everything from vibrating feedback to in-game bumps and crashes, extra battery power, and even a clever camera package that allows players to capture, tweak, and print images.

Best ever --- that is, until Ruby/Sapphire comes
Pokemon Crystal is a great game and with a GBC included, this is gonna be fantastic. Pokemon Crystal is just like its predecessors Gold & Silver.

          Pros:
          - The ability to choose to play as a boy or a girl
          - Defending Pokemon perform animations when sent into battle
          - New Suicune side-plot
          - New Unown side-plot
          - Game intro is different from Gold & Silver, and IMO more entertaining

          Cons:
          - GBC/A only
          - Like G/C, only has a certain amount of Pokemon
          - Not as good as the upcoming Ruby/Sapphire versions

Overall Crystal is near perfect but still has the same flaws as Gold & Silver versions. I suggest saving money for the Ruby/Sapphire versions coming early 2003.

          good overall with one exeption
just to quash thew rumor you cant catch celebi in this version only on the japanese version can you catch celebi

          Good as Gold
I rate the pokeman crystal bundle a five because it came with a game for $79.99 the game boy by its self is $69.99 plus the kids loved it so I feel it was a good deal.

Play in a well lit area, since there's not much color. Bottom line if you like playing the old version then you'll have playing this

          COOL
This is a really cool game and I reccomend it to people who like shoot 'em ups.

          Addicting!!!!
Mostly faithful replica of the arcade game with three levels of difficulty...I take this on trips with other games, but I always end up only playing this one. You will be hooked!

The best DBZ game and fighter on the GBA
Now if you have experimented with many of the DBZ games in the past, you should know that 95% of them were pretty horrible. Plagued down by slow gameplay, a poor story, sluggish controls, and mediocre sound and graphics have made the majority of the series a boring play. After the poor releases of the Legacy and Taiketsu GBA games, Supersonic Warriors seemed like it would follow the same fate. Boy was I wrong...SuperSonic Warriors is one of the most fun and innovative games I have played in a while, and being a fan of the anime makes it even more exciting. What makes the game great is all of the modes they have provided, one system that has been carried down from the Budokai series, is the point shop system. Basically when you win at the Challenge or Battle matches you win points, which you use to unlock characters, higher power levels, and new story modes. The story modes are very interesting and point out some cool storylines for certain characters that go beyond the show.

The character selection is impressive as well, including Cell, Gotenks, Goku, Trunks, 18, and more. There are a few I would've liked to see make their appearance in the game, but I do not want to give out any spoilers. On the topic of gameplay, I found it great because of one thing it had that the others were missing....Speed. If you have seen the show you know that what made the fighting great was the KI fights and intense speed, this game has both. Flying at will, moving at quick speeds, fast paced grappling, and great effects all make for a fun fighting experience. With all I have pointed out it sounds like it does take a while to master, but actually within an hour I was able to get the hang of the gist of it. All in all, DBZ SSW isn't the most complicated fighting game out there, but it certainly is one of funnest, and bonus points to it being portable!

It's the DBZ fighting game for the gameboy advanced!!!!!!!!!
You shuld buy this game cause it's great!!!! It got Fat Buu,super Buu, SS 3 gotenks, Trunks, Cyber frieaza and none of that stupid yamCha. If your thinking of geting this game, then stop. drop and buy this game. it's like budakai 1/2 where you have to buy stuff form the shop. do you people know hpow to get your Charecter level up? You can do close range attacks to kick your opponent away, then blast him with a long rage attacl like Burrning attack, kamahmaha, or a speicil beam cannon. to unlocksome more charexters you have to beat people in the challenge and z-mode and finish all of the If storris to earn some points. the beast team for the Z and challenge Modes is: krillin( cause He;s small and faster.) goku because he can use the kamahamaha and he can beat up most people. than your chioce of:super buu, frieza, cell, or Piccolo, or trunks or gotenks. But make sure you include krillion and goku. Them good.

          a cool game

This game is Fun, Lots'o' Fun
I've bought this game and It was great. I love overhead-style games. It gave this game a nice Dragon Warrior or Zelda feel. Not a steep learning curve but the select button is hard to get used to. The missions are long and easy at the beginning, but then they get longer, and harder. The only problem is there's less action and more puzzle solving. but, overall 4*'s

The action's on Boy, Game Boy
Made right after GoldenEye for the N64, Bond then made his move to Game Boy. At the time, people may have been expecting something similar to GoldenEye's shoot em up gameplay. Instead the setup was similar to that of The Legend Of Zelda, which made for an incredible game. Having an overhead perspective, you switch between weapons and items, traveling from area to area, questioning people and finding clues. James Bond 007 is a superb game with decent graphics, solid play control, a James Bond soundtrack, and excellent game play. This game is second only to the Legend Of Zelda's for great adventure game play.

            James Bond 007
I haven't played this gam yet. but I'm a big fan of 007. The only game I have so far is 007 The World Is Not Enough, but Iv'e played Goldeneye 007 as well. I'm also trying to collect all of the James Bond 007 movies, so if you know where to find one please let me know.

Players can play as either Jason Jarrett or Justin Labonte in the championship mode. With its realistic approach to the physics of driving and impact damage, this game demonstrates that racing can be more than just an arcade game. Full driver assistance is available--recommended car setups, traction control, ABS, and much more. Other features include commentary by Jason Jarrett's paternal grandfather, stock-car racing legend Nat Jarrett, along with music provided by the Offspring, Methods of Mayhem, Radiator, Lit, and Moby.

Jarrett & Labonte Stock Car Racing
Having read the other reviews, I kept wondering if I have played the same game. Because that's not how I saw it.

Physics/control: The car gets loose, it understeers, it spins, etc. The car also responds directly to the controllers movement -> this part I did not like. There should be a response lag (no matter how well a car handles) but it feels like I am controlling a remote control toy car. It seems Codemasters had to cut some corners on physics to put 12 cars on the track at the same time. I did notice different handling characteristics on the cars. 7/10.

Graphics/sound: Yuck is all I can say. It was very painful to look at, track-wise or car-wise. It is very difficult to see which way the track is going if you are on it for the 1st time. The cars look like they are made up of 10 polygons (yes I am exaggerating a little). I cannot tell which car is which (say, a BMW from Opel) unless I go by their colour schemes. The sound is OK: the engines sound different and effects are acceptable. 5/10.

Realism: This is where JLSR excels. The tracks are R/L tracks from around the world and they are quite realistic from track layout point of view. Also, you know the cars are from actual racing series which is also nice. The racing is more difficult than GT series and these guys drive dirty. I have only completed 3 national series and have won them with less than my average success (3~4 wins per series out of 6 total). The cockpit view gives the best impression of 'actual' driving but I found the front bumper view most accessible. This game has medium depth. I figure I can get to world championship level in less than 25 hours of play where as GT2 easily ate up 100 hours and them some more. I see no repeat play of JLSR once I win the world championship. 8/10.

Fun/Addictivity: Well, I played it two nights in a row and want to play some more. 6/10.

Overall rating = (7+5+8+6)/4 = a solid 65% from me!!! Only reason I got this game was to hype myself to the upcoming 'Pro Race Driver' from Codemasters June/02. If it has the 2nd gen. PS2 graphics, improved physics, I believe it will be a big hit in my books.

              Fantastic!!!!!!
One of THE best racing games for Playstation! My only negative is Watkins Glen should be the full circuit.

              Better Than Expected
First off let me say that I have little experience with racers... I have just two others, but have read tons of reviews. I bought Jarrett & Labonte after reading the rave reviews from others and it was even better than I expected. I doubt I will ever race with Gran Turismo again and Test Drive has been collecting dust for some time. This is a great game for one or more at double the price. At first I was disappointed in the graphic detail and clarity of the cars compared to Gran Turismo but after playing for more than the intial 6 hours, I can say that the car graphics are variable from mediocre to excellent, but the scenery is consistently outstanding and blows Gran Turismo away in this category. The racing itself with all the damage and fantastic sound effects is just plain fun and addictive. With a second person it is lots of laughs. Why go out for entertainment when you have this outstanding game. It is at the very top of my list and I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed with this racer. The depth of play goes as far as you want, but even right out of the box it is easy and fun. Control of the cars is more difficult than in Gran Turismo but everything else makes up for this. Menus are easy to navigate compared to Gran Turismo, with settings easy to access. Choosing a type of car and tweeking it is not important to me, but it can be done easily in this game and you get to do it right away rather than having to earn the right as in Gran Turismo. This is technology and superb game writing at its best. Get this game, but you are warned that it is very addictive.

                cool
There are awesome tracks and stuff. You can do cool stunts and flips and race against others. But, once you get to the harder levels, it gets REAL hard. Did I mention they have cool tracks?

                Great game great graphics
This is one of the best water jet games you will find. If you ask me buy it.I think it is great a tiny bit hard control but fine other wise.

                Yes you must buy this
What is everyones problem? This game is not hard...in fact its too easy! Ive beaten it with at least half the people on the master setting getting first place in every race on the master setting with chein, gunner, and miko. I mean cmon at least pu some effort into it. If you think this is hard your gonna die playing Jet Moto 2. This game is really great though. And dont whine about there not being computer opponents in the 2 player mode because if you beat it on the master setting with nine players then a code gives you this setting. In fact all the codes are great except the show off cameras and ice racing. I would definately buy this game, even if its old, its great cheap fun. I have over 40 playstation games and this one is among the best (the best i own is Castlevania SOTN) which slaughters Metal gear Solid. Buy Jet Moto now.
