Railroad Tycoon 2: Second Century Expansion Pack
Made by Gathering of Developers
Age Group: 5 years and up

    Used price: $5.95

Ride the rails back in time: From 1939 through 1950, do your part for the war effort. Deliver troops and supplies to the besieged Allied front. Rebuild the British rail system after its destruction in the Blitz. Protect Mother Russia from the advancing Germans.

Next stop, the modern era: Solve the transportation problems facing the modern world from 1950 to 2005. Help build a modern Metra passenger system for Munich. Manage the Chunnel system between England and France without drowning in debt. Be the visionary who links two of America's greatest cities, Los Angeles and San Francisco, with a high-speed rail.

Last stop, the future: From 2005 to 2030, worldwide flooding and melting ice caps wreak new havoc for the modern railroad tycoon. The United States is a watery wasteland. The Mediterranean is an empty basin with a blossoming Eden. Antarctica is a promising agricultural center. The heady task of providing rail systems for this strange and exotic world falls upon your shoulders. No doubt, only the most ingenious solutions will do.

    RT2
Railroad Tycoon2 is very, very, very fun,I play it more than I play The Microsoft Train Sim.Speeking of which:laing rail in the Medatraden sea(Because its gone!!)or filling the La Maca Fisser with cement in the Sanereo:Hell And High Water or making rails in(Relly Flooded)America, and(As I said)its
    very,very,very fun.

A Must For All Train Lovers!!
Railroad Tycoon II is one of the best PC games ever produced. It combines a realistic railroad (transportation) game with many fun elements of the railroading business from history. The scenarios are well designed and give the player loads of options for strategy and tactics. The random nature of the industries and economy makes each time you play a challenge. I would recommend this game to everyone who loves trains and missed their calling as a rail baron!

Addictive, and Effectively Adds Some Much-Needed Options
I've bought this game when it was first released, a long time ago, and I still play it today. The Graphics are very enticing and trains and structures can be seen from any view. When assigning a route a train can take on complicated tasks, which was very reassuring. In the original RT2 I was left wondering how to sell some things at one station and at the same time keep other cars to sell at a station on down the road. You can also build bridges that span huge oceans if you can afford it, which helps when trying to connect cities separated by a body of water. The campaign levels are astonishingly fun, as new buildings and trains are incorporated into this expansion, as well as new maps such as Antarctica.

Now that I have this expansion I could never go back to the original RT2 because of all the new features that are so incredibly user friendly and all the new options ensures that you can play a totally different game every time. This is a Must-Buy and is well, well worth the money.

    Rollcage
    Made by Psygnosis
Age Group: 5 years and up
      Amazon base price: $9.98
      List price: $14.98 (that's 33% off!)
      Used price: $3.20
Rollcage somehow manages to inject new life into a tired old game genre with glistening, spunky graphics, outrageous power-ups, and indestructible cars that bounce, but don't break. The game gets its name from the cars that suspend a slim-lined cockpit between four wheels that look to be borrowed from a monster truck. The result? Players can flip the cars completely over and continue driving, unscathed.

Rollcage's disregard for normal laws of physics means players can drive up rounded tunnel walls, scaling the ceiling at speeds well over 300 mph. But this game is no walk in the park. The uniquely adept computer opponents can quickly usurp your lead, sending you from first place to last. This phenomenon is due mostly to the clever power-ups in the game that are designed to thwart the competition. A time warp token cuts the engine power of your competitors' cars in half, effectively reducing their speed while maintaining yours. The leader missile, when fired, seeks out the current first-place car and explodes on impact, while the wormhole power-up engulfs the car in front of yours with a glowing ring of light and transports it behind your car in a high-tech version of leapfrog.

Music from techno artists Fatboy Slim, Pascal, and Freestyles adds a bit of fun. All the pieces of Rollcage fit together snugly to form a stylish, blistering fast racing game with enough strategy and surprise to keep you playing into the wee hours. --Jeff Young

      Pros:

      • Breathtaking graphics with flying sparks and spectacular wrecks
      • Excellent soundtrack keeps the pace super-fast
      Cons:
      • Yet another racing game for the PlayStation
      • Strong artificial intelligence (AI) makes racers unusually tough to beat

      Racing Advanced
I straight up love this game. I rented it a while back and bought it on sale last week. I'd forgotten how fun it is. It does take some getting used to, but the gameplay itself is immensely entertaining. The part I love most is the various boosts you can pick up, which isn't included in many other games. They allow you to slow your opponent down or speed yourself up. The tracks are also cool, all antigravity of course, so you can drive on the ceilings and when you come back down, your car will never flip. So if you like racing and have the $ to spare, buy this game.

      A truly enjoyable game
I am the pround owner of the second game, and have played the first one, and truly love this series. I get a kick out of forcing my opponents out of control, not only with the weapons, but also my car when I'm coming up to pass them. Flying at over 400 MPH and using all the weapons involved makes this fantasy game a game to buy, you may get lost at first, but I hardly ever get lost any more, it's rare once you get the hang of it, so I recomend this game for anyone looking for an exciting and truly amusing game.

      AWESOME GAME
This is the best racing game ever for playstation. It is kind of like Wipeout, only allot better. This game goes at incredibly fast speeds. There are 20 tracks to choose from. I just bought this game, and it is awesome. You can flip, you can turn, you can shoot missles, and a lot more. The 2 player modes is also awesome. BUY THIS GAME!

I recommend this game for people who like adventure's! Wario
can not die, he can only lose coins!! At the end of each level there is a game where you use up 50 coins and there is a number behind blocks and you guess what the number is!! This is a very fun game and I recommend it for those game freaks out there!!!

        This is the best!
This is the BEST game I have ever played. The REAL final chapter is awsome! You have to beat one of the game`s many Giant Spearmen (Which are actually GIANT Gooms)without touching the floor! And there are SIX different final bosses, and after you beat the game you get to play a mini game Flagman D.D. (which is just like Simon). I would recomend this game to EVERYONE!

        This game is GREAT!
This game ROCKS! I personally think it is one of the greatest games nitendo ever made. I recomend it to all game boy fans

        Scrabble (Mac)
        Made by MacSoft
          Amazon base price: $29.99
If you can't find anyone to play with you because you're just too good--or you just don't like cleaning up little wooden tiles--the Scrabble CD-ROM is for you. Up to four players (human or computer) can play on a variety of boards and backgrounds (try chrome in the desert for that Road Warrior look). You can choose your computer opponent from five levels of difficulty, from Novice to Champion, or you can create your own custom opponent, based on a chesslike rating.

Play is speedy and satisfying; the sounds of the tiles clicking on the board are alarmingly realistic. You can challenge words, be challenged yourself, or find definitions of words you don't know in the online Official Scrabble Dictionary. (You can even receive hints and suggestions from the "Maven.")

Online multiplayer is in full force, too. Play with bored students in Oxford using the network features; though this slows the game down depending on your Internet connection rate, you'll find you need more time to crush your human challengers anyway. Sharpen your skills with the minigames: find two- or three-letter words, do anagrams, or find the best play with a given setup. Even if you're a regular Scrabble player, you should find yourself returning to your computer time and again, either to brush up or to try again against the champion. --Rob Lightner

          Smart Scrabble
This product is great for improving your Scrabble game, and it's also a lot of fun. You can play against 1-3 computer opponents with varying skill levels, or against real people. Unless you're in tournament mode, you can take advantage of features such as a word lister that generates suggestions for how to score the highest points with the tiles you have. There are also features such as instant summaries of letters remaining to be played.

My one annoyance is with the dictionary: it challenges some words you'd think it would accept, while accepting some words you'd think it would reject. If in doubt, doublecheck a word with it prior to finalizing your move, or add words to your own custom dictionary.

Overall, though, MacSoft's Scrabble exemplifies the benefits of converting a board game to software. No more tedious adding up points for tiles--the computer does it all for you!

          Scrabble for Macs
This is a great way to play Scrabble if your partner doesn't play. It has a dictionary, word lists, and other guides. It would be nice if you could click once for a new game and not have go back to the menu and re-do your preferences. Another problem (with Macs) is, it crashes when interrupted by indexing and other automatic computer functions (updates, etc.) All in all it's an easy and fun way to squeeze a little Scrabble into your life, and to improve your game.

          A winner
I play this game on the new iBook (128 RAM; 10G). It may be necessary to restart your system before playing if you left the iBook on for many days without shutting it down. Otherwise Scrabble plays without a glitch.

The game is a joy to play. There are numerous modes (e.g., 2 or 3 letter words, anagrams, 'bingo' or 7 letter words, etc.); numerous set ups (one or many players, networking, human or computer players); and different levels of difficulty. Sometimes I play for the sole purpose of learning new words, in these sessions I use extensively the hint menu and the word suggestion menu. For a word lover it is pure joy.

The interface is beautiful--it is an excellent mix of the quaint traditional feel and possibilities of technology. Although different 'look and feel' are available from high tech, to desert, landscape, etc.

The game set up menu is a bit clunky (player selection, score summaries, etc.). Regardless this is a great design.

          Highly recommended for all ages

          Get this game
This is probably my favorite game right now. Everybody is saying get it for Xbox or gamecube because they have better graphics, and gamecube has an extended single-player mode. But PS2 is equal to them all. The graphics are still awesome, and if you play multiplayer, you won't be going outside for a long time. But, around the middle of the game for a level or two, the game gets a little into the trial-and-error deal. Otherwise, you must get this game no matter what.

Just as good as Halo for xbox! By: A 12 year old!
I have found out that the best systems to get this game on are gamecube and xbox. They will have the same graphics. Ps2 is not as good good on this game as the other consoles. But xbox and Ps2 will have online action plus original multiplayer when you play on the same console. Gamecube won't have online but will have multiplayer. But... Gamecube will have extra weopons and a longer single player mode. Ubisoft said each console with have something special on this game. Gamecube has better single player mode and ps2 and xbox have online. I stronly recomend buying this game for gamecube. I own an xbox and a gamecube so I hope I helped your desision on which console to get it on. So.... GET IT ON GAMECUBE!! ITS THE BEST BEST GAME TO HALO!!

          Xbox VS Gamecube VS PS2
I can't decide what system to get Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow on so I did a system over view on what version to buy. I have Xbox,PS2, and Gamecube so I had many options. The Xbox version is exclusive right now because of a deal with UBI Soft and Microsoft but the other versions are coming this month or maybe early next month. The Xbox version has a multiplayer version along with the PS2 version. The Xbox version we know will look better then the PS2 version but UBI Soft said the Gamecube version and Xbox version will be no diffrent besides the Gamecube version having a longer single player mode. The Gamecube version doesn't have online multiplayer but has extra weapons and a longer single player mode also including the GBA link up which I don't know what it will give you. So the PS2 version is out of here. Now Xbox vs Gamecube. The Gamecube and Xbox versions are already confirmed to look identical and will have no graphic diffrences. Xbox has the multiplayer while the Gamecube has a longer single player mode and more weapons. I will buy James Bond games if I want multiplayer games not Splinter Cell so that leaves me with the Gamecube version. I buy stealth games for single player modes not multiplayer modes so the Gamecube version is the one I would reccomenmd getting. I have my money already saved for this one it's going to be great.

            Golf Rules
I have wasted countless times on the couch playing this game with 3 of my friends and every time it is worth it. Dont expect this game to be easy at first, in fact, for being a relatively simple game, it is quite challenging. There are 4 different play modes, tournament, skins game, country club and practice modes that you can hone your skills on. You can have different types of weather, wind, rain, and if you find the sand or a tree, you can expect to lose at least a stroke. You can also create your own characters and choose what types of clubs are in your bag. Definitely worth it if you are looking for a golf game to play. better than mario golf anyday.

            Waialae Country Club
It's one of the only games in 64. Being a 4 player game we get to play with all our friends and they think it is great, too. The graphics are good.

            I love Waialae
I think that this game is awesome for anybody, it is pretty hard to get use to but it is awesome when you are good at it, which will not take long. There is good competetition in the computer and it keeps a handicap for it. If you are thinking about getting it do it.

The best soccer game i've ever played World Cup 98
When I first rented this game, I had never really liked soccer on a video game. That all changes in one night. At first i'm one not to read directions on a game that I have never played and learn as i'm playing. But the thing about this one was I started playing, and I was doing stuff right and winning. It was so easy to pick up that I played all night, by winning and losing just about one world cups. I also loved the oldschool, by being teams like the Scotland and Sweendens 1940's or 1960's I can't remeber. I would rank this game as one of the top ten video games of all time for sports games. Thanks alot!!! Go Jayhawks!!!!!!!!!!!!

              A soon to be classic
This is by far one of the best games that Fifa and EA Sports have created! The graphics are great, and the gameplay is smooth. The only problems i have with the game is the intro song by Chumba Wumba, and the poor commentary by those two annoying Brits!! I'm also pleased that you're able to choose from all of the countries participating in the World Cup, even the ones that haven't made it in a while (like Ecuador, which might i add just made it for the first time this year!!!). All in all, this game is great for anyone who loves soccer!!

              coolest game
All I got to say is THIS GAME ROCKS.

Not only is the 90's Game fun and enjoyable to play, but the questions and answers bring back lasting memories of movies, sports, TV shows and meaningful events from the decade. Correctly answering questions by relating them to personal memories and experiences allows all players to relive their experiences from the 90's. Whether you were a student, young adult or parent during the 90's, this game is sure to invoke sentimental feelings. I highly recommend it for groups of friends and families.

                90's Game Rocks
After the torrential rains of June, I bought the 90's game this summer as a rainy day activity for my beach house. But we didn't just play the 90's game on rainy afternoons, my housemates were itching to play this game when they woke up, on the beach and before going out at night. The 90's game is a fun game for groups -- never a dull moment, even if you didn't watch every re-run of 90210 and Melrose Place! Everyone can dominate at least some of the categories -- whether you are a music buff, sports fiend, movie aficionado or TV nut -- but it's never too easy to win, nor too difficult to cause boredom.

Although, I didn't think they'd really been gone all that long - I still had a tough time remembering the diner from "Saved By The Bell" (The Max, by the way). Regardless, this is much more fun than other trivia games, because even though you remember all the shows, music, movies, etc. from the past decade (as opposed to say stuff from the fities and sixties) - the answers lie in the details - which often are just on the tip of your tongue. The last time I played included a mixed group (some trivia buffs some clueless tag-alongs) and there was enough in there to please both sets. Great time had by all.

                  incredible!!
I had a stroke 5 years ago, so I only have use of my right hand. I would probably have rolled up into a little ball and wilted away if not for this controller. The ease of use is absolutely awesome. The slight problem with configuration of tne buttons can usually be resolved within the individual game. In the rare instance that it cannot, a little practice and perseverence will generally do the trick. I am currently finding that my new games,{which all seem to be analog}, are not responding to this controller and I am losing my mind trying to find a way to either make it work or find a ps2 model.
                  IS THERE ONE ?

the best thing since sliced bread.
If you are disabled like myself, and only have one hand that works and you enjoy the playstation than this ASCII grip is one of the most important item you could ever pick up! There is no other controllers that I could possibely use. Well done to Agetec for producing this model i just hope that when we get the PS2 (which launches here on the 24 Nov 00) it will still work otherwise i will be wacthing a lot of DVD untill another one handed controller comes out.

Fits better in your hand for long term play
I am a game tester for a company that develops for the Playstation, I spend upwards of 40 hours a week with my hands wrapped around a controller, and I LOVE this thing!!! (I use it as often as possible.) It fits very naturally and comfortably in either hand while making it easy for you to flip through a strategy guide/walkthrough, or take notes, or open a can of soda, or whatever. It did take some getting used to but it wasn't long before I adjusted. I'm not sure how the Grip would work with anything other then RPG/Survival Horror and Strategy games (That's all I've been using it for so far.) I really don't think it would be good for fighting games, because of the way the triangle, square, circle, and ex buttons are set up. (But, as I said, I haven't tried it yet.) If you're the kind of person who ends up spending hours on a game in a sitting, use this thing! You're hands will thank you for it. (I hope somebody makes one for the PS2.)
