Atari at its Quarter Swilling Best
This collection of arcade titles belongs in any dedicated child of the 80's computer software cache. The murderous action of Missile Command, the rapid seek and destroy tactics of Asteroids, the Melee that is Centipede and its sequel: Millipede are without comparison. These games are the raw nerve that ate up your allowance and pizza money. Four bucks for a slice of Sbarro's pizza and an Orange Julius, and an hour's worth of time on Asteroids to see those three precious initials of yours atop the heap. What is more evocative or reminiscient of this glorious enterprise that was the ARCADE?
If you have even a vague nostalgia for memories like this, then you're cheating yourself if you dont invest in these staples now. The dreamcast and Playstation versions are quite well done also, hopefully Infogrammes will convert the collecton over to the PS2 soon. The Atari anniversiary collection is basically a reprise of this set, and is readily available.

    Atari Arcade fans say, "Yeah!"
This collection will satisfy the biggest of arcade game fans. It has a rare collection of Atari arcade games, those found in the original Microsoft Arcade (and some that aren't!) I removed Microsoft Arcade just for this! The makers do a perfect job of reproducing these classics down to the code! Millipede and Crystal Castles were a pleasant surprise and different games can be displayed on your system as a screen saver. I wish Atari/Hasbro would do more of their games in a collection, the experts at Digital Eclipse team up with Atari and Hasbro to make a fantastic collection of games leaving you hungry for more.

    Great Games
I had missed Battlezone, Atari stopped making video game machines,I found this game for my PC,it is great,I bought Gravis Xterminator Dual Control is good for battlezone, but very diffuclt to set the joystick. I use a mouse for missle commard and cenipede.but keyboard is diffuclt for battlezone, and mouse is not good for battlezone,My favorite one is battlezone in Atari, but good classic video gammes.

Pursuit of Language Trivia -- Great Fun!
While scanning the available games for something new and exciting, I found a new game to add to the game closet. The game is called Bethump'd With Words (the title coming from Shakespeare's King John) and is sort of a linguistic Trivial Pursuit.

The object of the game is to be the first to collect all of the letters in a randomly chosen, seven-letter word. This is accomplished by correctly answering questions from any of thirty different categories (e.g. idioms, homophones, Briticisms, Australianisms, history, etc.). Correct answers allow you to move about the board and land on letters or special spaces. There are six levels of questions and your level is chosen by your die roll. Special spaces allow you to take another turn or to move to a letter, consonant or vowel of your choice. Moving to a square occupied by another player gives you the option to move that player's piece to anywhere on the board.

The game is designed for play by two to eight players. A two player game I played took just under an hour. The play is smooth and the questions are fun making this a game I recommend.

      Bethumpe'd As a Family
Our family has enjoyed this game for several years. We all enjoy it, from those adults with advanced degrees down to my now 13 year old. We have found relatively few games that our divergent family can all enjoy together, but this certainly is one! There are six levels of questions dependant upon the roll of the die. (For our youngest children, 4 = 1; 5 = 2; 6 = 3; thus giving the twice the chance for the easier questions.) Sometimes we play teams, sometimes individuals. We also enjoy greatly the discussion engendered by many of the questions and their answer choices.

One of the best board games I've played
I've always wished there were a trivial pursuit for lit people, so I was delighted when I came across this game. There are thirty categories of questions, ranging from Australianisms to Calques to Spoonerisms, and they all deal with different aspects of language. The questions have six levels of difficulty; I've found that I don't always agree with the difficulty ratings and have found plenty of very hard level IIIs and IVs and some not-so-hard level VIs--but I'm fine with that, as I like surprises. One of my favorite things about Bethump'd with Words is that it's not the sort of game where the same person always wins, and it can get very close at the end, which makes for an exciting experience. I can almost guarantee that everyone will have learned something new before the game is over!
The board is not only durable but beautifully decorated. I would recommend Bethump'd with Words to anyone interested in board games, literature, language, trivia, or learning in general.

Fib or Not? This game is great...and that's not a fib!
This is a very fun, entertaining game. It's a great way to interact with and get to know others. We had a lot of laughs and surprises playing it. A bonus is that you can play it with as few as two people. Enjoy!

So you think you know everything?
My husband and I have never been short on conversation, so you'd think we'd know everything about each other and our friends. Well, we played this game at one of our parties and were surprised by the number of the interesting, adventurous and even silly little things we learned about everyone. One of the best things about Fib or Not? is that it was very very easy to play - it only took a couple minutes for all of us to get into the swing of the game.

The way it works is that players select subject cards to get a topic for a story. The cards have many great topics that help spur memories of stories (about you, your friends or someone you know). Then players take turns telling stories - but with a twist. The stories can be real or made up. The other players then have to guess if the story really happened or if they are being bluffed.

The game has cute characters that help set the stage for the lightheartedness of the game play, quality game pieces and voting chips that actually feel good in your hands (these weren't made in China!) and easy to understand instructions that also include some tips for good story telling.

In short, we had a blast playing the game and highly recommend it for any party or as an excuse to get together with friends.

Get the opportunity to lie for a good reason!
Forget everything mama told you about lying. It's welcome in this game. If your party is lifeless or everyone is sick of the usual activities, grab Fib or Not? to break the ice. Share wild stories, fact or fiction.

Get the party started with the storyteller who has to draw a card to get the topic of the story. The game has many story topics such as telling about a surprise party, getting a scar, or a fear. The pressure doesn't stop there because it's a race against the timer, too.

Each player takes a turn guessing if the story is a tall tale or the real deal. The more people the storyteller bamboozles, the more spaces to move closer to the winner's circle.

Expect to crack up before the game ends and go home talking about so and so's great story. A bonus is the opportunity for players to learn more about one another unless every story is fiction! The game works great at teen parties, college parties, adult get-togethers, family gatherings, and kid events.

Field & Stream Trophy Bass 4

          Realism Is the Key
Trophy Bass 4 is the most realistic fishing simulation I have ever played. Every weather condition has a different effect on the fish as to where they are located on each individual lake. Also every type of weather condition calls for different lure techniques for those situations. This game will test your knowledge and skill. If you do not have this game already I strongly suggest picking it up.

Field & Stream: Trophy Bass 4 will get you 'hooked'!
In the UK, as it could be said around the world, fishing has been described as THE favourite outdoor pastime and 'Field & Stream: Trophy Bass 4' has brought the thrill of the catch to the confines of your lounge.

It features over 30 species of freshwater gamefish including Stripers, Walleyes, Catfish and Muskies.

On your boat, you will have 1000's of rod, reel and lure combinations available to you along with underwater sonar, map and compass and two kinds of motor propulsion.

You can play either single fishing trip, career mode or even online in the multiplayer link-ups, fishing on dozens of reknowned lakes throughout the USA.

There is so much to this game that I cannot begin to give it justice. I'm 'hooked' and I can't even fish for 'reel'! (almost a pun there).

          If you love to fish...
I love to fish but I had an unfortunate injury some 20 years ago and I use a wheelchair to get around. This lets me fish whenever & places that I probably would not get a chance to go fishing at. I only wish it had a few more lakes in the northern part of the USA or even Canada. Even the great lakes would be cool. Overall I love the game and all the options that it gives you.

still one of the best space flight/combat sims
I was used to games like X-Wing but wanted a new one. Picked up Descent Freespace and was most impressed. The graphics are awesome as is the gameplay. Suffice it to say I never played X-Wing again. ;) Freespace is a tad bit old (1998) but still great! If you want an inexpensive game that is fun to play with tonnes of action and space dog fighting, get this one!

            Best Simulation Game Ever!
This game is the best simulation Interplay has created. You can control wingmen and order them around. If you use cheats, it won't let you pass the level, therefore pushing you to the limit. You can earn ranks and medals (I am a 1st Lt. Ace). The game is very hard to manuvere if you don't have a joystick. The game is awesome and is a must buy for any pilot!

            Old but Interesting
I played the game at a friends house on his computer. It is a standered machine, noting fancy. Annyway the game ran like a dream! The graphics are increadably good, especally considering the games age. I like most of the ships and almost all of the weapons. The plot is very good too. Overall I can not wiat until my copy of the new game "FreeSpace 2" comes. Yes the game was that good.

              great game for the family
this game gets my family together, it is fun and exciting. i love seeing my kids get so into a game and having the fun and excitement with even their dad, thanks

Why Would You Want Anything Else?
Who needs a first person shooter game, when you can blow each other up in hilarious animation? In this sort of Bomberman Compilation game you get the joys of the viuals of the Super Bomberman 3 era, but you can also play in the way old school viuals of 8 bit nintendo. I'm not kidding either, you really can play what is called retro style 1 player bomberman, and the graphics are the same as on the first bomberman for 8 bit nintendo. Anyway it's bomberman you get to blow each other up, get power up items, and have hours and hours of endless fun. I highly recommend this games for when all of your friends are over at your house, and especially reccomend this game for college students who need to take frustrations out on roomates (what better way to get back at each other than in a friendly game of bomberman?).

              bombermans the best
This game is awesome I play it all the time if you want a video game get this game is full of action and adventure!also up to five players can play and you could blow each other to smithereens!!!!!!!!!!!

              Broken Sword
              Made by Acclaim
Age Group: 12 years and up
                Amazon base price: $24.99
                Used price: $24.95
Despite the ominous-sounding title, Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars is actually a colorfully animated adventure game that casts you as an American vacationing in Paris. But don't let cartoonish graphics fool you into thinking this is kiddie fare, as the game opens with a malevolent-looking clown bombing a café where you're sitting, leaving a man dead and many questions unanswered. Fancying himself to be a better detective than the local authorities, your nosy tourist dives headfirst into mystery and intrigue, hot on the trail of the killer clown.

Broken Sword uses a basic point-and-click interface, where moving a pointer around various onscreen hot spots allows different actions to be performed. Pointer movement is rather slow, and the use of a PlayStation mouse is highly recommended. Also sluggish is the load time when moving from scene to scene, which disrupts the game's pacing a bit.

Those willing to have patience will find Broken Sword to be a decent adventure game. Crisp graphics, smooth animation, and respectable voice acting help further the game's quirky plot, although the dialogue is downright hammy at times. --Joe Hon

                Pros:

                • Crisp graphics, smooth animation, respectable voice acting
                • Good mystery game for would-be sleuths
                Cons:
                • Slow pointer movement
                • Annoying load time between scenes

                The Cream of the Crop
This is one of the best adventure games made for any system. it is NOT for kids. Don't be fooled by the fact that it uses cartoon-like animation. Not that it's violent or inappropriate. It is not. But it IS sophisticated. It's really made for adults. It has a fabulous plot and great brain teasing problems to solve in order to move forward with the story.

                Broken Sword,a masterpiece
Broken Sword,a game I tried at my cousins house.I think the game Broken Sword is an excellent game for anyone 13 and/or up.But it can also be for mature children who are 10.It dosen't have many curse words at all.I guess it's the thought of people dying that woulden't be appropriate for younger children. It also might be hard for younger children to understand the story.Well, now i'm going to tell you what the game is about.Your character is George Stobbard a tourist visiting Paris. Then while your having a drink at a cafe,a clown bombs the cafe and kills a man.You barely survive the blast. You want to get to the bottom of this. You ask witness's questions.Collect informaton of where he might be.And you try to get on the killers trail. You also collect clues along the way.Oh,and your on your own.The police stop looking for him and your on your own.Well, there is this girl who you meet, and she kind of gets involved. And you kind of like her.Well, you need to buy it to find out. It's a real entertaining game.I mean that's what video games are all about,am I right? It's really cheap too.The art is really cool too.It kind of looks like an adventure computer game. You know? Well i'm trying to say that it has like a flat not 3-D type art.It also has eery music, which is really cool.Well,I tottaly recommend it.Especially for people like me who like suspense and horror video games.

                  Not bad
Twenty bucks for a wooden folding chess board and chessmen is not a bad deal. However, the old adage "you get what you paid for" holds true here. Craftsman quality is missing in this product. The folding chess board has a magnetic strip to keep it folded. However, the chess board when unfolded for play is a bit lopsided. The wooden chessmen are standard Staunton pieces. However, they're not crafted quality pieces but are adequate enough for play. If you wanted a similar product but of higher quality then be prepared to fork over an additional $30-40 if not more. However, if you wanted a traveling chess set but don't want to pay alot of $$$ for one and don't mind the inferior quality found in this set then this is good buy.

Best Chess Set for a Great Price
Although I would have loved to have gotten my fiancee a more articulate chess set, this gem really fit my budget. When he opened it on Xmas day, he was blown away. He really enjoyed it, especially the size. The set comes with a fairly large chessboard and the pieces are nicely sized as well.

He has enjoyed many a chess game with me and our best friends. With all the use so far it has remained in excellent condition. The magnetic closure helps to secure the pieces in the inside of the fold up board. Thus, your floor will not be littered with pieces when you pick the board up.

                    Great Game
I have played all the commander keen games, and I'm glad they made a new one. This was a very fun game, and commander keen fan's should try out this game.

I didn't know there was a Game Boy version
I haven't played the GameBoy version, only the PC version. It was so much fun, however, that when I was a little kid I played it on my computer all the time. The only dissapointment was that you get killed if you get hurt just once.

                    Commander Keen
I loved Commander Keen so much because as soon as I finished one game I had to finish another.

My son can play this all day!!!
My 3 year old son LOVES this game and picks it more than any other when we're playing games. I like that the rules can grow with him.

                      GREAT fun and educational game!
My kids, 2.5 and 4.5 love fishing and playing this game. We make up how we are going to play and then Go Fish! It's great to get my 2.5 yr old to push the suction cup down (hand/eye and fine motor) and color recognition. It also works on my 4.5 yr olds number recognition - I may even write a few alphabet letters on them to help with those too. Taking turns is what it's all about at this age - we definately need to work on that! :)

                      Very Fun Game!!
My 3-year old loves this game and the fishing pole makes it very fun. I didn't think the suction cup would work very well, but it really does! Great game!
