Atari at its Quarter Swilling Best

The object of the game is to be the first to collect all of the letters in a randomly chosen, seven-letter word. This is accomplished by correctly answering questions from any of thirty different categories (e.g. idioms, homophones, Briticisms, Australianisms, history, etc.). Correct answers allow you to move about the board and land on letters or special spaces. There are six levels of questions and your level is chosen by your die roll. Special spaces allow you to take another turn or to move to a letter, consonant or vowel of your choice. Moving to a square occupied by another player gives you the option to move that player's piece to anywhere on the board.
The game is designed for play by two to eight players. A two player game I played took just under an hour. The play is smooth and the questions are fun making this a game I recommend.
The board is not only durable but beautifully decorated. I would recommend Bethump'd with Words to anyone interested in board games, literature, language, trivia, or learning in general.

The way it works is that players select subject cards to get a topic for a story. The cards have many great topics that help spur memories of stories (about you, your friends or someone you know). Then players take turns telling stories - but with a twist. The stories can be real or made up. The other players then have to guess if the story really happened or if they are being bluffed.
The game has cute characters that help set the stage for the lightheartedness of the game play, quality game pieces and voting chips that actually feel good in your hands (these weren't made in China!) and easy to understand instructions that also include some tips for good story telling.
In short, we had a blast playing the game and highly recommend it for any party or as an excuse to get together with friends.
Get the party started with the storyteller who has to draw a card to get the topic of the story. The game has many story topics such as telling about a surprise party, getting a scar, or a fear. The pressure doesn't stop there because it's a race against the timer, too.
Each player takes a turn guessing if the story is a tall tale or the real deal. The more people the storyteller bamboozles, the more spaces to move closer to the winner's circle.
Expect to crack up before the game ends and go home talking about so and so's great story. A bonus is the opportunity for players to learn more about one another unless every story is fiction! The game works great at teen parties, college parties, adult get-togethers, family gatherings, and kid events.

Realism Is the Key
Field & Stream: Trophy Bass 4 will get you 'hooked'!It features over 30 species of freshwater gamefish including Stripers, Walleyes, Catfish and Muskies.
On your boat, you will have 1000's of rod, reel and lure combinations available to you along with underwater sonar, map and compass and two kinds of motor propulsion.
You can play either single fishing trip, career mode or even online in the multiplayer link-ups, fishing on dozens of reknowned lakes throughout the USA.
There is so much to this game that I cannot begin to give it justice. I'm 'hooked' and I can't even fish for 'reel'! (almost a pun there).

Broken Sword uses a basic point-and-click interface, where moving a pointer around various onscreen hot spots allows different actions to be performed. Pointer movement is rather slow, and the use of a PlayStation mouse is highly recommended. Also sluggish is the load time when moving from scene to scene, which disrupts the game's pacing a bit.
Those willing to have patience will find Broken Sword to be a decent adventure game. Crisp graphics, smooth animation, and respectable voice acting help further the game's quirky plot, although the dialogue is downright hammy at times. --Joe Hon
Pros:
- Crisp graphics, smooth animation, respectable voice acting
- Good mystery game for would-be sleuths
- Slow pointer movement
- Annoying load time between scenes

Best Chess Set for a Great PriceHe has enjoyed many a chess game with me and our best friends. With all the use so far it has remained in excellent condition. The magnetic closure helps to secure the pieces in the inside of the fold up board. Thus, your floor will not be littered with pieces when you pick the board up.

I didn't know there was a Game Boy version
Commander Keen

If you have even a vague nostalgia for memories like this, then you're cheating yourself if you dont invest in these staples now. The dreamcast and Playstation versions are quite well done also, hopefully Infogrammes will convert the collecton over to the PS2 soon. The Atari anniversiary collection is basically a reprise of this set, and is readily available.
