This has been a great and overall stable PC Hockey game. I can't remember the first time I played it (since this review was writen April 16th 2001!). I felt it was my duty to review it, however, by todays standards, I doubt if you'll be able to find a copy. The graphics are funny, but pardonable by 1998 standards, the checking is outragous, the amount of shots on goals is way too much, but the one denominator that makes this games gameplay superior in my opinion is the strength of the goalie! True, you can belt the goalie from every angle 50 times and not score a goal, unrealistic, but its the only thing that saves this game from falling into the catagory that NHL 2001 fell into. EA Sports decided that the goalie was too hard to beat in NHL 99 so they lowered the skill of the goalies and raised that of the offensive players in titles such as NHL 2001 and 2002. This created a large lopside and now we have another problem (with todays EA Sports hockey games). Too many goals!

Yup, I still play my NHL 99 game alot. Its great! True, the shots to goal ratio is 70-40 some games, but thats really the only problem. After buying NHL 2001, I've gone back to playing NHL 99 several times because, in many ways, its more fun to play.

Iceman

This is one of the best games that I own. The graphics are great, the fights are great (and last a long time for more action!), the checks are big, he commentators are good, and the physics are realistic. I love this game, and recommend that you buy it. There are only a few minor glitches, like the commentator sometimes mixes up the scores for the teams, but nothing to significant. Buy it!

This game truly rocks. I enjoy the earth-shaking checks and player animations. Regular seasons on '99 are challenging to new comers;one tip to make a season easier is make your own team, like I did. Besides the infrequent frame jumping and inability for Internet play, a true value for the hockey enthusiast.

Lego Racers and the Create It game have been daily events at my house for a couple of months. My eldest turned 3 in March and he's a lego lover just like his dad. The game comes with 6 track layouts (and a 1-6 spinner, which makes decisions easy!). Sometimes he likes to make his own tracks, too! The race with no 'power ups' was a great way to start. I've slowly added things as weeks have passed. His attention span is great for 3 laps using the 'turbos' and the 'sheilds.' The nitros and oil slicks are a little too much and not much good with only two players anyway.

The puzzle-like track pieces are holding up well. If it wears out before my other son gets there, you can bet I'll get another copy!

Fantastic game. Bought last year, my son was four/will soon be five and has a great time playing with this. We enyoy it also. Simple directions, build your own cars. Friends love it too. At age five, my son can now follow the six different track layouts, so he sets it up and we play when it is ready.

My 4 and 1/2 year old is very big into lego racers, both the computer game, and in general, building his own from lego pieces. When he saw this in a board game, he got extremely excited to say the least. I am glad I picked it up. This game is easy to learn and easy to play. (And much more entertaining then candyland). No reading is really required (there are a few things to read, such as lose a turn or go back a few spaces, but having me read it aloud didn't hamper his pleasure of the game any.)
I like the fact that you can change the track layouts. They can be a little difficult connecting on a carpeted floor, but if you play on a table top or linolium floor it's fine.
All in all, worth the money and enjoyed by the family.

If you like puzzle games, then this game is for you. The object is to fill "gears" with four marbles of the same color. Once filled they will "explode". After all the gears have had marbles explode once you advance to the next level. The password feature is great also, because you can start where you left off. The levels get increasingly difficult, but it's not overly frustrating. The controls are easy once you know them. There are "traffic light" levels where you have to have the marbles explode in the order of colors displayed on the traffic light. There are also color blockers, transporters, directional arrows, etc. There is also a time limit to complete each level as well as a time limit to get a marble into play. If you can find this game, it's an absolute must have for any puzzle gamer.

This is such a great game. I'm a 22 year old female who is addicted to puzzle games for Gameboy. I got this one and cannot stop playing it! It has a password feature so you don't have to keep going through levels that you've already completed. I highly suggest it if you like puzzle games!!

This is a great game for puzzle lovers. I got hooked, got my mom/sister/brother/nine year old son hooked. The premise is very simple, just one or two controls to remember when playing, but the combinations start out fun and then get better. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who likes shanghai, tetris, or logic/puzzles.

THIS GAME IS THE BEST EVER! I'VE PLAYED IT AND BEAT IT! THE CHARACTERS YOU CAN BE ARE ARAGORN, LEGOLAS, GIMLI, SAM, AND FRODO. THERE ARE ALSO THREE SECRET CHARACTERS THAT YOU CAN UNLOCK, WHICH ARE MERRY, PIPPIN, AND FARAMIR. IF YOU WANT LOTS OF ACTION, THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU! DEFINITLY BUY THIS GAME!

"The battle of Helm's Deep is over....the battle for Middle-Earth is about to begin..." The video game "The Two Towers" leaves us on such a note. The Return of the King, will be, no doubt in my mind, will be the most ground-breaking video game anyone has seen. The Two Towers was unbelievably on the money for what a movie-made-into-a-game should be like. A hack and slash game, it did not only have realistic and believable situations but the characters and their moves were authentic and true to the movie. So what, do you ask, were the faults of this game? I'm sorry did I say faults in a plural sense. In my mind, there was only one fault to the game. Unexplorable environments. And guess what...The return of the king compensates for that. Wish granted. It also presents 3 new characters to the list: Gandalf, Frodo, and Sam. Such diversity in choices can lead two ways: Absolutely a superb game, or a weak spread "butter over to much bread" game. Hold the toast, thank you very much....because the game is not going to be a weak undeveloped game! The Return of The King will also present co-op play which will make the adventure so real and authentic to the book (especially if you have friends are named Frodo and Sam!) All in all, this will be the game that we will play over and over and over again and still not get sick of the adventure!

This review is for the return of the king. I have found this imformation from the game maker's themselves in a chatroom. This game has no definite due date but so far it is in October 2003. You can play as Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Frodo, Sam,and you can unlock 2-4 hidden characters. The smallest level is at least 2 times the size of the biggest Two Towers level. Also, unlike the Two Towers, it is 2 player, so you can play with a friend. And, you just don't play the parts from the Return of the King, but parts from the fellowship and the two towers. There are more enemies, such as mumakil(the giant elephants from the two towers movie), Haradrim(wicked men from the South),the Army of the dead, and mountain trolls instead of cave trolls. There will still be Uruk'hai and orcs but no goblins. Also, the enemies will be much smarter then the Two Towers. Lastly, expect everything from the Two Towers video game and more....

Don't you remember the times about 7 or so years ago before the vs. games like X-Men Vs. Street Fighter or Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter were out, when you were at your local mall's arcade room, and you spent so much time and needed money on this one game everyone was lining up to play, you kept winning and no one could beat you, you had a blast and you ruled the arcade, you used the Amazing Spider-Man, or Good Ol' Stars and Stripes himself, Captain America, and maybe a little Incredible Hulk was throw in just to show off your skills with multiple players, and you used the Infamouse Yellow, Blue, Green, and all other Gems you could get your hands on to build Speed, Strength, Power, Defence and pretty much eveything else with your character! Well I do, and I was so stocked when it came out, and now you can bring those great feelings back with the PSX Version of this classic fighter from Capcom!

Well, I did, and heres what I think!

Gameplay: Almost arcade perfect with minimal slowdowns, barely noticeable, and you can still pull off everything in here that was possible in the arcade version.

Sound(Music and Voice Track): Perfect, no muffled voices that match perfectly to all characters, and music is still here(and still rules)with no remixes(Thank God)! Music plays just like you would here it in the arcade(if you were you were lucky enough to here it in the arcade, and I actually did many a time)!

Graphics: Great considering the Ram limitations of the PSX(like that was a problem for this game in the 1st place), and they were done with POLYGONS, yes, POLYGONS!

Characters: You get a line up of the following characters:
1. Spider-Man (My favorite! "Maximum Spider!")

2. Captain America ("Justice Will Prevail")

3. The Incredible Hulk (What's to say, he's a "Monster" hahahahahaha...sorry.)

4. Magneto (He rules and can pull off great comboes!)

5. Wolverine (The cheep one)

6. Juggernaut (He's huge and probably deel's more than anyone!)

7. Iron Man (With the Infamouse "Proton Cannon!")

8. Blackheart (A good and Cheep caharacter, but not as much as Wolvie.)

9. Psylocke (One of my favorite X-men, and overall choice over Wolvie, to bad Gambit wasn't included.)

10. Shuma-Gorath (Not used by me, but still deel's damage needed to prevail in this game.)

Over-All: If I could, a 9.3/10.0, but I can't, so 4 out of 5, the reason being, could have been one point better if it weren't for the PSX limitations, but man, that definetly didn't stop me from getting it AT ALL! GET IT IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT!!

I still remember when I first bought this game back in 1997. It was when I first got my PS and I wasn't disappointed.

The graphics were pretty crisp and clear and it had a nice little selection of playable characters including Spiderman, Iron Man, The Hulk, Psylocke, Wolverine and others. For those who played Marvel vs. Capcom 2 before this one, the movement may feel a little slow to you. However, this was the first of the Marvel vs. Capcom style games so don't expect it to be as good as MVC2.

The default controls for this game are the easiest to work with of any of the Marvel titles. You'll find it easy to learn and it fits the PS controller perfectly. Air combos can be pulled off easily but it may take a while for some to learn how to do them.

On this game you'll find that the characters hyper combos are much more powerful than they are on MVC2. However, since this was the first of these type of fighter games, the characters have less moves to execute. The thing that really separates this game from all of the others is the Gems. There are 6 Gems that you may use during battle and different ones have different effects on certain characters. For example when Juggernaut uses the space gem, he turns silver and gains super armor. When Psylocke uses the Power gems she creates 3 copies of herself so then it's like fighting 3 of them at once. The final boss on this game is Thanos. He's better than the boss on the other Marvel titles because he's actually a challenge. He automatically starts the match with all 6 gems and he also has 6 different hyper combos he can do with each gem. Also this game actually has endings for the characters and the music is superior to all of the other titles except for Marvel vs. Street Fighter.

I recommend you buy this game if you can find it for a reasonable price. You won't be disappointed. It may seem outdated for those who played MVC2 before playing this but it's still enjoyable.

I bought this game and I thought this game was so cool. The characters are so detailed and the selection is not bad. It has everyone that is mostly liked. Captain America is the best in the Marvel Universe and in this game.

Ok, this game is the best pc skating game available now.....u ntil 10/25/00 when tony hawk pro skater 2 comes out for PC. The andy macdonald game is definitely worh the money, it's a lot of fun, the levels are huge, and there are lots of tricks to learn. I've been playing it for about a month now, and still haven't seen everything in the game,....But, the guy who said that it blows tony hawk away either doesn't skate, or has never played the tony hawk 2 pc demo. I cannot wait another 2 days for the full version. I have the THPS2 demo, and for the last week, I havent even booted up the andy mac game because there is so much to do in the one level you get with the demo. I love both of these games, and am so relieved that you no longer have to buy a game console to get a really good skateboarding game.

This game is awesome, the graphics are great, the moves are rad.the skateparks are awesome, there are a lot of hidden tracks that are easy to win, there's even new riders and boards that make the game even more awesome to play, you can really get some big time Air and pull off some rad moves while up there.. you can do some cool grinding and flat tricks, ride rails, walls, and jump all kind of obstacles that are on the numerous tracks available. THis game is just plain awesome to play...

WOW, this game is very good! it has a lot of pro skaters to choose from, nice graphics, awesome sound, a lot of levels, and 5 different ways to skate. This is the first REALLY good skating game for PC and if you have a PC but not a dreamcast, playstation, n64 but still want a skating game, this is for you! I like it a lot! and it worth the money!.

a ton of fun at first then slowely gets boring

THIS GAME IS AWESOME I PLAYED IT AT MY FREINDS HOUSE AND LIKED IT SO MUCH THAT I ORDERED IT TODAY THE GRAPHICS ARE GREAT. The graphics were like, so much better, i mean they were, i can't find any words other than, man, the graphics are like, so much better. I name my one team the "Afghanistanizians" and the other team the "USA" then I push them around and actually beat the USA in something. Ahh the bombs.......

Well, this plushie is modeled after the Kacheek, currently the no. 2 most popular neopet, right after Shoyrus. This raccoon-like (no, it's not at all like a dog) creature is cute, fuzzy, and wants to be your bestest pal! Not for giant hugs-the battery pack in the stomach is too hard. The reason I gave it 3-star education is because it does not require to be fed. Do you want really young kids to think that a pet doesn't need food? I didn't think so. It does, however, require to be loved. Ignore it and it will go to sleep (battery power saving mode). Yell at it a lot and it will get sick. In short, a cute (but not as cuddly) alternative to a pet.

This game is allot of fun. As a Dual Slalom rider/BMX cruiser rider as well as a PSX enthusiast i can say that this game is really chanllenging. Infact I have never cleared all of the courses to make it to the 3rd and final elite mode for the trails and courses... this is extreemly technical and will make you a better downhill 'thinker' if that makes sense... one downside to this game is that the trick function is next to impossible to master... as far as i know there is no game guide or cheatcodes available for this game making it even more of a challenge...

The only thing I didn't like about this game was the graphics. The controls are easy. The competition is hard which makes it fun. Youn will like it.

I purchased this game.... When it arrived i opened it up right away and started playing. Its awsome everythings very realistic, the wreaks, the sound, the graphics, the gameplay. If you are into extreme sports this is the buy for you, and it has great replay value, so you'll never get tired of it! This is a Great Buy!

You should buy this toy. It is so much fun and easy to learn how to use it.
There is so many things that it does.I never get board of it. You will be laughing and geting excited thats how i felt when got the nu jam guitar it was great. It lights up there is volume u can plug in head sets so no one can here. there is to different kinds of musc to play to. I sware this made me want to be a rock star its totally awesome. you will never want to put it down.

We just bought a couple of days ago and it's been in use practically every since we put batteries in it. We are fans of Bop It Extremes and thought we'd try out this toy by the same makers.
My kids are 3, 10 and 13 and all have a lot of fun with it. My husband has had a ball with it too. (I think he's played it more than they have! :) ) He enjoys the challenging modes and the fact you are making a kind of music with the toy.
Our 3 year old likes to play it in the "free jam" mode where he is not playing a game, but can play music on the guitar anyway he likes. We got some great video footage of him "jamming" on this guitar!

Adding headphones is a good idea for using when the "new" wears off and the grownups get tired of hearing it!!

GREAT toy. My 8 year old got it for XMas and simply loves it! Has several different "play modes" for different sounds and is quite durable. All of his friends want one! You won't be disappointed!
