Yahtzee Deluxe Edition
Made by Milton Bradley
    Amazon base price: $15.99
Yahtzee has been called America's favorite dice game and, with tattered boxes closeted in homes across the nation, that claim is not hard to believe. Put five dice in a shaker, mix in strategy, add luck, stir--then let the fun begin! So how do you improve on something this good? By sprucing it up. Yahtzee Deluxe is aglitter with sparking dice, a velvet-lined playing tray, a sturdy cushioned shaker that has the feel of soft leather, and detailed score cards that make totaling points easier than ever. The detailed instruction booklet even includes a section on the history of dice. The plush playing surface is set inside a light plastic frame that seems a trifle small, but this is a minor complaint. As a handsome replacement for an old, faded game, or a brand-new source of family fun, Yahtzee Deluxe offers the same excitement that has been entertaining players since it was first released in 1956. --George Laney

    The best Yahtzee ever!
This is a great value and we have enjoyed many hours entertainment from this simple FUN game.

    YAHTZEE IS AN ENDURABLE CLASSIC!
Yahtzee is one of my two all-time FAVORITE games. Everyone knows the educational value for children, the fun and conversation it inspires...but there's so much more to Yahtzee. Although luck has something to do with Yahtzee, skill and cunning also play an important part. Also, Yahtzee can be as competitive as you'd LIKE it to be (ante up!). It also is a game that will inspire very warm and wonderful memories. I will always remember my two late uncles' weekly Yahtzee nights. They were very close brothers but, in adulthood, the constraints of family and responsibilities did not allow them to spend much time together alone...until they established their weekly Yahtzee night! They would play for hours on end to the sounds of the dice shaking and spilling, the mild cussing, the laughter and smiles! I carry it with me wherever I go and, inevitably, a routine visit becomes a Yahtzee PARTY! New friends, laughter and fun...how can you beat a combination like that (unless it's a five-of-a-kind YAHTZEE)!!!!!

An ingenious blend of strategy and luck
Perhaps the most brilliant (and educational) aspect of Yahtzee is that players learn about probability without even knowing it. Yahtzee is played with five dice that players roll (up to three times, picking up any of the five for a re-roll) in an attempt to fill out different categories on their score cards. 3 and 4-of-a-kind, short and long straights, and so on. The more you play the more you gain an intuitive feel for which are easy and which are difficult to make. You learn about the disparities between the points a particular category pays and its difficulty to obtain with the dice. You learn to plan for different outcomes and to change your plans on the fly, in response to the dice rolls.

But the beauty of Yahtzee is that all of this calculating takes a back seat to the fun of rolling the dice, filling out the scorecard and finding yourself absorbed by the drama that unfolds with each game. It's a brilliant balance that, magically, never gets old. Perhaps it's the simiplicity, perhaps it's the nearly infinite variety of games - whatever, it marks Yahtzee as one of a handful of classic games.

The deluxe edition adds a touch of class to the proceedings, providing handsome gold sparkle dice, a felt lined dice cup (which makes shaking the dice just a notch more special), and a small felt-lined stadium to roll the dice into. The latter, while gratifying in its own way, is perhaps slightly less thrilling than rolling the dice into the top part of the cardboard box and hearing them clatter against the sides.

Yahtzee can be played by a wide variety of ages. It can be played competitively against others, or simply against yourself for a high-score.

    Sled Storm

Age Group: 5 years and up
      Amazon base price: $19.98
      List price: $39.99 (that's 50% off!)

Rev up your snow-hog. Electronic Arts is speeding off the asphalt and into the tree line with its latest racing title, Sled Storm. Snowmobile racing may seem like a last-stab attempt at creating a new racing game for the PlayStation, but the result is irresistible and addictive.

Sled Storm lets players control their riders' turns by leaning them right or left to take sharp corners without flipping over the mechanized beasts. The game does a fantastic job of depicting the weight of these vehicles as they careen off jumps and plummet like boulders. Stay off the brakes, seek out shortcuts, learn trick moves to earn extra points, and plow over anything on the course that looks suspiciously cute--such as snowmen or bunnies (for bonus points). Point totals at the end of the race can be converted to cash for sled upgrades. That's about all you need to know to compete.

With songs by goth-rock god Rob Zombie, Sled Storm offers a winter wonderland full of racing fun. A four-player split-screen mode is the best way to play the game, but the artificial intelligence (AI) in the one-player games is realistic enough to give players some decent competition. Forgo your inhibitions and ride, baby, ride! --Jeff Young

      Pros:

      • The first snowmobile racing experience on any video game platform
      • Deep one-player championship mode encourages many hours of playing and replaying
      Cons:
      • Not very original--another racing game for the PlayStation

      What a great game!
I have had my playstation for about 4 years now, and I find myself playing Twisted Metal 2 all the time because it was the only game that had any real staying power and is fun in 2 player mode so my wife and I could play together. We decided to pick up Sled Storm on a whim, without having read any reviews, and we are real glad we did. This game is a LOT of fun... it is fun doing the tricks, it's fun impronving the snow mobile, it's fun unlocking tracks, and it's fun unlocking characters. Each track is very unique, and all have good jumping opportunities to do tricks and score points. The open mountain tracks also have some great shortcuts you should look out for. Finally, we have found another game that we can play together and not get tired of.

A whole new type of game
Sled Storm is making it's own path in the snow. This game combines the upgrade ability of GT and the fun tricks of Cool Boarders into one stellar game. Two of Playstations all time greats are now in one. Sled Storm can be hours of fun by trying to win the Championship with one character, or by trying to win it with everyone. You can use the Open Mountain tracks to upgrade your sled to have some real fun on the SnoCross tracks. Or you can upgrade your sled to race against your friends, and with up to 4 people playing at a time it can get really fun. If you have a group of friends who like to play together this game could keep you interested for hours. Sled Storm is a must buy, and I don't care what kind of gamer you are, you will enjoy this game.

      Good Game
This Game is a very fun. It has good graphics. It is hard, but fun.

      Frog Juice Card Game
      Made by Gamewright
      Age Group: 8 - 12 years
        Amazon base price: $9.99
How would you create a magic spell? You might need some unicorn horn or some eye of newt, or maybe some bats or toadstools or star and moon dust. But be forewarned as you're stirring up your potion--you'd better be wary of a black cat or the powerful All-Purpose Witch Wash! One of your opponents might even be brewing up an Uglifying Spell. ("Results guaranteed to crack mirrors at a single glance!") All of these magical ingredients are part of Frog Juice, an imaginative card game for two to four players that uses fairy-tale elements from fair maids to frogs to create a game that both kids and adults will enjoy. This game of strategy includes 44 ingredient cards and 15 power cards, each with an illustration that looks like it came straight out of a fairy-tale book. Cards are played in the center of the game and then captured by other players by matching numerical values or by using stronger powers. --Marcie Bovetz

        This game rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Frog Juice is a really fun game for the whole family. There are witches, witch wash, and spells. My family could play it all day. It is very fun. That's it.

        Frog Juice
I have boys age 7 and 11 and both love this game. It's a great family game for all ages. I can play with the kids and they have as much of a chance of winning as I do. Our 7 year old often wins and we don't have to go easy on him.

A terrific action game that'll keep you on your toes!
Time Crisis packs a punch more than most other gun games. First of all, it relies more on action than carnage, which is a superb idea. Secondly, the gameplay's got a twist to it, allowing you to dodge bullets as well as shoot at the enemies. Last but not least, there's a whole new subgame exclusive to the home version! Time Crisis is one of the best gun games ever made and it's a blast for those who have a craving for action.

        Awesome Perp maiming action!
Wow! Now this is my style of a gun game!

Everybody who loves gun games played this when it hit the arcades years back. But when two years ago Namco said it would be converting it onto playstation I drooled!

Namco did an amazing job with this belter! Not only do they convert the arcade game perfectly they see it fit to include add ons! And I don't mean like many magazines quoted an extra level. I'm talking about a totally exclusive multi-routed game! Brilliant! Not content with giving you more of the same they make it a heart stopping extra that plays far better than the arcade mode! An amazing thing to pull off by any means!

The hide feature is also the most interactive ideas for a gun game ever! Instead of having to shoot grenades or die, if you are quick you can duck behind an obstacle and rise after the projectile has passed you by.

The gun they developed also played a blinder! Easily becoming one of the best guns on the market it was the first to feature a video link cable that made accuracy far better.

Everything about this is great. It may seem a little short but then again, with the action at this level it would be practically impossible for endurance durations anyway!

Buy it! Even if you're not a gun gamer, I assure you that this will literally blow you away!

        MUST HAVE
This is a great lightgun game and it's better than project Titan. If you've got a big TV then you're are lucky and you can fully exsperince this game. In some arcades the light guns are out of acuracy but the guncon is perfect on your playstation and there's added features that the arcade version didn't have.

Buy this along with DIE HARD

Based on one of the most popular cartoons in the Looney Tunes library, players will direct Ralph Wolf throughout the flock of sheep while avoiding detection by Sam Sheep-dog. Your mission, of course, is to use all sorts of outrageous mail-order equipment (Acme, naturally) to get to some delicious lamb chops.

          fun and different
          excelent game !
(at least i hope it's the same game i think...)
there are many things that could have been improved - it's a short game and the graphics is not impresive BUT, it's a lot of fun for cartoon lovers. using the tools and moves makes the game realy look like a cartoon, and at times it's realy very funny. the characters are great.
in Israel it's released as "sheep, dog 'n' wolf" for some reson, or maybe it's a nother game.
          i'm waiting for a level editor !

          in short :
pro - great fun, amusing and different.
con - short, i get the feeling they rushed it and could have done it better.

          BEAAAAAUTIFUL!
This is one of the best graphics in a PS one game that I have seen in a loooong time. Loony Tunes has gone all out to high performances for this wonderful masterpiece of classic Acme mayhem.
You're beloved un-hero Willie E. Coyote and his second most famous archenemy Ralph come together to serve up a hilarious and perfectly animated parody to the cartoon TV. show. Only this time victory is Coyote's favor as he uses a series of new objects and tricks taught to him by the sly and greedy Daffy Duck to raid the sheep and win the final battle between good and really hungry.
I have played this game a lot so far and have only reached the 7th level but I have had tons of fun and laughs getting there. Buy this game now and you can be helping Coyote achieve at least one of his dreams. I only hope they plan on using this game's design and graphics to create a Playstation game involving Roadrunner.

One of the funnest games I have seen in a long, long time!
Ok, so if you are reading this, wich you are, I take it you are looking for a fun game! Well, you have found the right website!
Amazon sells this game for a lot cheeper then I have seen around and I highly recomend this game to you if you have children from the ages 3-100, (i really hope you dont on the count of I am pretty sure you are a kid)anyone of any age would love this game, unless you have a really bad temper, then dont buy it... but anyways, it usually takes a while to load, it is worth the wait though! Daffy Duck is a 'cool' dude who gets you, Ralf Wolf onto a tv show! (talk about 15 mins. of fame)and you have to go into a 3d world that is just like the cartoons from Sam's (the sheep dog) harry face to the tippy top of Ralf's fuzzy, long, dumb face! You will have to use a lot of brain power (witch Ralf lacks to have)to trick the old dog and take the sheep home to have a lovly feast of lambchops! Anyways, there are a lot of fun ACME gagets to use, the graphics are a little choppy, because it is only on an older platform, the Sony Playstation, and Daffy's voice does get a little annoying... but the game is fun enough to keep you interested, trust me! I hope that you will rent it first and see your oppinion of the game, and then, write a review about it! If you buy it, I hope you have fun! (dont worry, you will...)And I hope this helped you out there who are interested in the fun game!

          Bop It - Extreme 2
          Made by Hasbro
            Amazon base price: $24.99
Even electronic toys have gone extreme. Kids love the original Bop It, an electronic toy that challenges response time to pull, twist, and bop different parts of the toy. The Extreme 2 version adds two more tasks, more sounds, and a taunting, smart-aleck announcer who directs the game. As you get better, the game moves faster until you miss a beat and lose, accompanied by a fair amount of noise and ridicule from the toy. People who don't think they'd ever want to play Bop It Extreme 2 won't be able to put it down; it instills a compulsive need to bop till you drop. It can be played in a group and makes a good party game--even for serious adults. --Lynne Sampson

            The Best game!
Bop it Extreme 2 is the best! My sister got it for her birthday but, I love playing it! Before I could only get 1 or 2 but, now I have 38.
I play it when I wake up, when I have extra time, & before I go to bed!
I like all the things you can play on it and, that it has a volume control and, that it tells you what the high score is.
This game is really fun! People should purchase this item.

Bop it extreme 2 vs Bop it extreme
Hi, I'm a 19 years old college student attending UCSD. I live in a suit with other students and we use to hang out, but we got nothing to do. I decided to buy this toy to promote some social interactions. To my surprise, everybody just jumps in and have a blast. We played endless Pass it! games. It REALLY trains your reflex skill. I find it so much fun that I had to write a review, which I rarely do.

As for the difference between the Bop It Extreme and the Bop It Extreme 2 versions.(I had this question when I buy this toy)
            1) The Bop It Extreme 2 version has 3 levels of volume, while the Bop It Extreme has one LOUD volume.
            2) The Bop It Extreme 2 has an earphone jack for personal enjoyment, while the Bop It Extreme doesn't.
            3) The Bop It Extreme 2 TELLS you at the end your score(i.e. "You scored forty-eght"), while the Bop It Extreme plays different sounds to denote score(i.e. "whistle, whistle, rachet, rachet, rachet, drum, drum, drum, drum"). Hence requiring you to count and decipher which sound worth more points than other.
            4) The Bop It Extreme 2 has more music than the Bop It Extreme as advertised.
            5) The Bop It Extreme 2 has rubber grip and better grip-mold for the Spin it! wheel.
            6) The Bop It Extreme 2 just looks much cooler, hands down! :D

Playing this game Solo is fun, but get together w/ your friends and you all will have a BLAST!

No reviews found for this product.
            NOT soooo great,
VERY,VERY noisey. It is hard for me to get a high score. They whant you to do it so fast. (Yes, I know a game should be challinging.) And to tell you it takes a odd number of batterys,3 of 'em. One time the batterys got corroded so it made it hard to get out. I never did play with it again. The sound got scratchy too. (...)I do not recomend any of the Bop It toys to anyone.

3 People beating up 1 person! GREAT!
This game has the best tag feature. You can do either a 2, or 3 person tag attack. If you decide not to use a TAG ATTACK, you could do one of your SPECIAL ATTACKS. Each character has about three special attacks which they perform by themselves. There are over 20 characters and all of them have good special attacks. One of my favorites is a 12 year old girl who gives you a beat down with her tennis rackets.
The game also has a story mode where you can view a comic book story between fights.
MY ONLY COMPLAINT: You need a special code to get the last boss Demon Hyo. Even if you beat the game a hundred times, Demon Hyo will not be selectable without the code.

              BURN, JUSTICE ACADEMY, BURN!
"Project Justice" is the DC version of the Arcade hit "Burning Justice Academy" from Capcom Japan. This here is among the best streetfighting games to combine fantasy fighter moves with easy-to-do combos. It's a chapter of the Streetfighter EX series with a candy-colored Marvel vs. Capcom-like shell. All characters are simple to play and benefit from great animation and fast movements. Ever had trouble doing Capcom's famous air juggles? Well, this game enables characters to do air juggles more easily because anyone knocked in the air takes quite a while to heal back.

My favorite PJ characters are as follows...

              1. Kyosuke- He can be considered the Ken of the game. His wavey projectile is short range, but his best attacks are the ones that send his foes up to the air, like Lightning Uppercut and his somersault kick. The hyper version of the Lightning Uppercut can also be an effective launcher for an air juggle. Plus, you've got to love his sleek fashion statement.

              2. Hinata- The cutest character in the entire game, decked out in a fuku, hair-band, short skirt and a backpack (Geez, she fights while carrying books on her back?), Hinata is all about close range/mid-air fighting. She has a miniature fireball that can score multiple hits and spinning fists for her anti-air. Her best attack, though, is her gyrating kick that sears in fire if executed with the strong kick button. Beware; Hinata's hypers need her to get real close to her foes.

              3. Shoma- The angry baseball boy, Shoma holds his best attribute with a long-range baseball bat, making him among the very few with a definite weapon. The bat gives him access to launch opponents into the air, plus it can knock opponents a few feet away from him should they be too stressful at the moment. Shoma also whips mean baseballs that cover more distance than other projectiles in the game. Because of his terrific range, though, Shoma has problems when fighting up close. His hyper combos are fairly good (though Hundred Balls is much quicker in the air), and his double team (where you send the foe flying to his slugger) gives lots of damage and breathing space at once.

              4. Roberto- Definitely a favorite character to PJ fans, Roberto the soccer jock is all about kicking. His combo launcher covers a wide angle and his kicks and punches are fast, making him the most well-rounded of the Gorin classmates. Roberto's soccer ball is a healthy tactic, but try to use his regular kicks, punches and headbutts to put the most pressure on your foes. Also use any of Roberto's throws; all are strong and keep the opponent far off. His flying anti-air bicycle kick is hard to describe, but it's a great way to confuse your opponents, so use it sparingly when you have the chance! Roberto's hypers can be close or long range, but use them after you've trapped your foe in a quick combo chain.

That's all for now. Go play "Project Justice" after school, and you won't think having an education is such a bore.

The best Dreamcast fighting game is here!! Soul what???
Rival Schools: Project Justice is great! I didn't think that this game would be this good because I was not impressed with the PS1 version. But boy was I wrong!! This game is tight! The graphics are clean, the characters are cool and origional, the story mode is decent and the extras add replay value to the title.

I once owned both this and Soul Calibur and I must say that this is better that Soul Crap...er I mean Calibur. The moves are more along the lines of Street Fighter but not played out and overdone. Almost all the characters are playable and entertaining (unlike any Street Fifgter game) and the game itself is a joy to play.

On a bad note my only turn-off is that the last boss has a demon posessed sword (was that a hot idea in 1999, 2000?). This, in my opinion, is a tired and weak excuse for a last boss, it reminds me of the lame and seriously dark (and demonic) story line of Soul Calibur.

If it were not for that lack of origionality in designing a last boss then this game would be one of the greatest of all time. As it is its just great and worth it to any Dreamcast owner.

                Wonderful learning game!
This game was bought for my 3 year old daughter. She/we have so much fun with it! It promotes turn taking, matching, sorting, problem solving and fine motor skills! If your looking for a great game that you can also use as an educational tool, this ones for you :)

Every child should have this game
This is a great game for a wide range of ages. There are a variety of ways to play from simply emptying the jar and putting back the pieces to matching the shapes, in addition to using it as a memory game or first to match all wins game. The game is very durable and lots of fun

Fun and educational for your toddler
Our son received this game for his 4th birthday and he LOVES it! He is always asking someone to play it with him and he has quickly learned the rules for the easier level of play (put all the cream cookie halves in the cookie jar, deal the plain halves, and taking turns in succession to try and pick the cream halves' shapes that match the plain ones). The first one to match all their cookie halves wins. This simple game has taught him how to take turns, rules, and shape identification. He never has a problem with losing a game, but that's probably because he's eager to play another round.

What I also like about this "game" is that even a younger child can play with it. Just to find two matching shapes and put them together will keep a young toddler occupied.

We certainly recommend this fun, durable, educational and inexpensive toy to anyone looking for a gift for that 2-5 year old.

                  The Empire Strikes Back...but Good!!
Tired of seeing Imperial Tie Fighters drop like flies against a target as slow and vulnerable as a patched-up Correlian freighter? Than this game is for you. The original Tie Fighter was a sequel to the original X-wing Fighter" game - both have been updated for Win 95 and 98 with better sound and graphics in the flight sequences. Between the flying, however, the graphics on each look like a throwback to the game's 486-era ancestor - with still characters and MIDI music (stereo sound is available during flights, so anybody who needs an excuse to hear that John Williams music should get either game). Since the collectors ed. of each game is strongly rooted to the earlier games, and with the original Tie Fighter having been the better title, the new Tie Fighter Collector's Ed. beats the XWCE. Besides the better and more believable interiors of the Imperial craft - the target computer in TF shows the ship and what direction it's pointing relative to you) is a better story. Here, you not only fight for the empire (how's that for a switch) but for its inner circle as well. Most of the time, the interests run in the same direction as the high command - now you have to investigate ships that your commanders want you to destroy, and you may find yourself getting shot at by some of your fellow Tie pilots. Even the obstacle course is better - with the complex tunnels and moving doors reminding me muc of the Death Star run from "Jedi". You start out flying the simple basic Tie Fighter (no shields and no hyperdrive) working your way up to the Tie Interceptor and up to the Tie Advanced. Not of all of your missions pit you against the rebellion - instead you'll spend more time fighting pirates or against both sides in civil wars (you need the empire's permission to war against anybody) or against imperial defectors (complete with their own star destroyer and squadrons of the latest in TF technology. A complex storyline will have you saving the empire from a coup and even flying alongside Darth Vader himself (if you screw that mission, you'll have to apologize in person).

Storyline and graphics aside, TF suffers for much of the same reason as XW - canned missions that have you blasting away at just about everybody can get pretty repetitive. You're the weak link - there are a few set mission goals and if any are missed, the mission is a failure (you'd think with their fleets of cruisers and their clouds of fighters, the empire could afford to miss a few hundred). Also, the XW/TF series has been advanced in meaningful but slow steps - with the collectors ed being a great facelift for the older games, but not a great improvement on them. If you've got at least an old P-200 MMX with a decent 3d card (I had the Voodoo2) you should make the jump to the X-Wing v. Tie Fighter, making sure that your version comes with the "Balance of Power" campaign. XWvTF was geared for Multi-player, but supported it poorly. Nevertheless, single-play is always going to a problem for scripted-mission games like these, and the newer games have somewhat better graphics and sound. If you're running a P3, I'd suggest going up a notch to "X-Wing Alliance". The collectors edition of either of the first two games is strongly recommended for those whose systems top out below 200MHz.

One of the true all-time greats
Along with such games as X-COM: UFO Defense and Civilization 2, a true classic. Why is is one of the greatest games of all time? One very simple reason. The graphics don't make the game good, the GAME-PLAY makes the game good. You get to be the bad guy, and that's always cool.
If you haven't played it, you are missing out on alot. I first played in on my big old 486 25 MHz with a whopping 8 Meg of RAM. I still have it loaded on my newest system, a 1.5 GHz 256 Meg system, with a video card that has 4 times the amount of my system RAM on that first computer.

You know you love the Dark Side...
There is something extremely thrilling about playing the bad guy for a change. I was always happy to earn a medal after completing a mission in the X-Wing games, but I LOVED earning the Emperor's blessings as a TIE Fighter pilot. Goose bumps! I got goose bumps on missions of vital import to the Empire. I felt like I could take on the entire Rebel Alliance myself.

The style of dogfighting is so different in a TIE because you ain't gots no shields!!!! :-) You simple must not get hit or pray that its a glancing shot you can shake off over time by outmaneuvering the enemy.

Playing for the Empire opens up a diffrent sort of game. It is a lot fresher than the X-wing games, which make you feel like the understudy to Luke Skywalker since you are essentially taking on his place as Top Gun in Rogue Squadron. I mean, how many times can you blow up the Death Star in a Star Wars game? That type of game you can find over and over. But in TIE Fighter, there is a new perspective, much more intrigue and mystery. Lots of suprises. Hey, you are working for the bad guys, not everyone on your team plays well with others.

There is a reason that this is considered one of the best games of ALL time. It is that good. And a minor spoiler... I nearly cried when I got the pleasure to fly as wingman to HIM. The Force IS strong with this one.... the Dark Side of the Force.

Lara Croft is back... and repackaged. The sequel to the top-selling action adventure game Tomb Raider has now been rereleased as part of Sony's discount Greatest Hits program--which means that you can now get one of the most popular games for the PlayStation at a reduced price. Tomb Raider II offers a stunning game environment decorated with 3-D graphics that are improved from the original game in the series.

While fans of the original game will immediately feel comfortable with the controls and gameplay of this sequel, Tomb Raider II may initially intimidate players not familiar with the series. The controls do seem a little awkward at first, but you can safely learn the ropes by exploring the numerous training exercises accessible in Lara's house.

Once you get trained, you're ready to jump, roll, run, and shoot through multiple levels of action. There are some notable improvements for this sequel, including bigger and better levels than the original. In addition, there are more enemies to contend with. This title is a must-have with the new price. --Mike Byer

The Rare Case Where A Sequal Stomps an Original
From the Great Wall of China to the canals of Venice, Tomb Raider II is the rare case in which a sequel is better than an original. In fact, I find this game to be my favorite of the series. In it the legendary Lara Croft sets out to find the Dagger of Xion. In her quest she navigates the globe, and even takes a couple of trips to strange and magical new worlds.

Tomb Raider II offers significant improvements over the original, and its game play exceeds the other games that follow in the series. The game has drastically overhauled weapons and artificial intelligence. Though the puzzles are not as hard as later versions, they still are quite difficult. Lara has new moves, many new weapons, and more dangerous foes. What more could a Tomb Raider fan - or even the casual gamer - ask for?

I highly recommend this game, whether you are an avid Tomb Raider fan or somebody new to the series. I don't believe you will be disappointed - in fact, you will probably find many hours of action filled entertainment. And if you do enjoy it, I strongly recommend other games in this series.

Best in an outstanding adventure series
In retrospect, with 4 games behind her, Tomb Raider II captures most of Lara's finest moments. The cerebral, compelling Egyptian storyline of TR1 is sorely missed, but is replaced with a spectacular variance in exotic locales - Tibet, beneath the ocean, Italian villas, and much more. Each level is a lavish challenge. Although the control is somewhat frustrating at first, you'll find that it becomes empowering and intuitive the more you play. The plotline is compelling and a wonderful adventure, and the variance in the number of foes and puzzles you must overcome will keep you interested throughout the months it takes to beat this colossal game. The problems? Well, the main one is the difficulty level. Since Eidos included the "save anywhere" feature in this game, they felt a sick and twisted need to make the game extremely difficult at the most awkward moments. You'll find yourself tearing your hair out or destroying random objects as you fail to guide Miss Lara through the gauntlet for the 100th time. But, when you succeed, the satisfaction of victory is sincere and overwhelming. An outstanding adventure game, for all fans of Indiana Jones, 1930s serials, Edgar Rice Burroughs, and the best "exotic" action flicks. Buy this!

                  The best "Tomb Raider" game!
Even though the first "Tomb Raider" was good, the second one is even better! I absolutely love "Tomb Raider 2"! Everything is much better then the first one. There's improved graphics, better locales, more weapons and enemies and awesome vechicles.
It was a blast to play! In fact, it's the only "Tomb Raider"(along with the original) game I fully enjoyed playing, and it's the only one I beat in the series.

Your beautiful Lara Croft, who travels around the globe, including China, Venice, a sunken ship, the Tibetian mountains and a Dragon lair, to retreive and find out about an ancient prized possesion called the Dagger of Xion.

Lara looks way better then the first one. She's better "developed" and her new moves are great. I also found there's more human enemies then in the first one, making Lara feel like an gunman then an archaelogist. But that's ok, since I really liked the locales. Out of all the breaktaking locations here in this game, I liked Venice the best, there you could drive boats, trapple gondolas, and kill many assassins. Along with the boats, you can ride a snowmobile!

I liked the characters and enemies in this game. You can encounter monks, yetis, sharks, as well as the ultimate foe, a gigantic, fire-breathing dragon, which appears at the end of the game. What a climax! I also liked the very last level, "Home Sweet Home" where you battle foes at Lara's mansion. There's also the usual challenging puzzles to solve, things to find.

Even though it's an old game, "Tomb Raider 2" is action-packed entertainment and the best entry in the series. You'll enjoy it to the last minute! I know I did!
