PlayStation 2 Winter Sports Value Pack with NHL 2001
Made by Sony Computer Entertainment
Age Group: 6 years and up
    Amazon base price: $334.99
    List price: $499.99 (that's 33% off!)
Get maximum winter-sports action with this special PlayStation2 game pack, which includes the new PlayStation2 console (with controller), a bonus Dual Shock 2 controller, a PS2 vertical stand, and three games (Madden NFL 2001, SSX: Snowboard Supercross, and NHL 2001). At the heart of the PlayStation2 is the 128-bit Emotion Engine processor, which bringslightning-fast gameplay and unprecedented graphics power to your TV screen. We've packed in three AAA sports titles to get things started.

EA Sports' Madden NFL 2001 fully utilizes the PlayStation2's advanced hardware with ultrarealistic rushing, passing, blocking, and tackling. You can play the built-in AFC and NFC lineups, or even create your own player. The graphics power of the PlayStation2 brings a new level of detail to the game. As play progresses, you'll see the field start to collect scars from some of the rougher tackles, and the players will show some wear of their own, too.

If you can pull yourself away from the football game, there's also SSX: Snowboard Supercross. Game critics are raving about this fast-action winter title, which includes unconventional racing environments and a wide variety of boarders.

The game pack also includes NHL 2001. This game boasts all of the NHL's traditional and expansion teams, as well as 20 additional international teams. The motion-capture moves, high-end offensive and defensive artificial intelligence, customizable options, and jaw-dropping graphics combine to make this game a must-have for any hockey fan.

To help you go head-to-head with your opponents, this bundle also includes a bonus Dual Shock 2 controller. Also, we've included the official PS2 vertical stand, which turns your machine into a tower of sleek gaming power.

    About These Bundles:

Amazon.com and Toysrus.com are pleased to offer these special PlayStation2 bundles. When you select a bundle for purchase, Amazon.com will ship your selection in a single box. Of course, you're free to add additional PlayStation2 games or accessories to your order. Depending on item availability, these additional items might ship separately.

    Well worth the wait
Well, I waited just like everyone else, and finally got one. On top of this I ordered Nascar 2k1. After doing nothing but playing the 3 games that came along with this (Madden, NHL, SSX), I'd have to say I really am throughly enjoying this system more than my Sega. I love my Dreamcast, don't get me wrong, but you can notice subtle differences between the two which make Sony just barely edge out the Dreamcast in my eyes. You can really tell that the game creators are really putting effort into pushing the PSX2 to it's limits right off, which is a VERY nice change compared to PSX1. There are tons of options, marked increase in graphical capability and I personally like the dual shock control over the dreamcast's rumble pack. I'm very glad I waited my time to get this system. The 500 beans are well worth it.

    I waited...and waited...and finally got lucky!
All right - I admit I am a little old for video games - But this one is wild. The graphics are tremendous, the sound potential is awesome and I'm hooked on SSX Snowboard Racing. The Madden Football 2001 Game is a bit intimidating, the NHLII is the coolest game (sic) and backward compatibility means garage sale, and close out games galore. I picked up a couple of classics for under 10 bucks from the local retailer. My younger friends and family can hardly wait to challenge me but I'm practicing up so I don't disgrace myself - the controlers are faitly intuitive and if I were to make a constructive criticism would be to either make the system unit heavier (so it doesn't slide around in the horizontal position when you are trying to reboot the system) or put more tenacious rubber feet on the thing so it doesn't slide around. I look forward to internet shared gaming via cable modem - Welcome to the new millenium!

Great game console - Poor DVD player
The video game graphics are amazing!! Totally awesome!! Used to get headaches after awhile when I would play Playstation games, but since I've got the Playstation 2 I can literally play for hours and still feel great afterwards!!

As a DVD player though, it's not very good, I went out a purchased between 30 and 40 DVD's within the first month of getting the console and I would say about 20 of the DVD's would freeze a few times or the PS2 would stop and say "unable to read disc." I would check the DVD out by playing it in the DVD player in my personal computer and it played fine. So I wouldn't recommend taking the DVD's back to the store if it doesn't play on your PS2, it's most likely the PS2.

Football is a violent sport to begin with, but what would it be like without rules? The answer is Blitz 2001, a wild, arcade-style football free-for-all. While the core concepts of Blitz are essentially the same as real football--throw and run to score touchdowns while trying to prevent your opponent from doing the same--the play here tends to get a bit dirty without details like penalties and good sportsmanship.

In Blitz, the key to stopping the pass is tackling receivers before they ever get into their routes. After a great play, celebration is over the top, with players doing cartwheels, pretending to ride horses, and shouting at the top of their lungs. But the victimized party doesn't have to sit back and just take it. They can pick up the celebrating player and throw him to the turf--and then jump on top of him.

Because this is the Nintendo 64, the graphics are clear and the movement is fast, which is crucial to the success of a game like this and the main reason why the Blitz series on the technically inferior PlayStation has never quite cut it. Of course, four can play at once, which is where Blitz really shines, and new to the game this year are some entertaining minigames. Adding to the cartoonish fun of this game, a player can literally catch on fire--like some mythological football demigod--after reeling in three balls in a row or making three consecutive sacks. It's funny and kind of scary to see several flaming linebackers accelerating toward the quarterback.

The one small catch to all this is that players who bought Blitz 2000 will notice very few differences besides updated rosters, leaving it a dubious purchase for those familiar with the franchise. Those new to it, however, are sure to discover reserves of testosterone that they never thought they had. --Robb Guido

      Pros:

      • Playing with three other players is infinitely fun
      • Includes new minigames, such as a QB challenge
      Cons:
      • It's the same gameplay as Blitz 2000 with only minor technical improvements

Awesome game but dont know to get it or the 2001 ,2000 version

      not many changes done so.....

      Awesome Game!
This game is very, very up-to-date. They have the Rams and the Titans as the best teams. The graphics aren't the best but the game play is very good. You are in control of the game 100% no questions asked. You call the plays and there is 3 pages of plays to choose from. This game also has the season and tournament options. The game also has mini-party games. There are many to choose from. They're awesome if you're alone or if you're at a sleepover with a 100 friends. Definetly worth buying. I paid lots for mine!

      A lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is great. I like this better than the regular football games.

Definately one of the better games on the market
Word of warning to any football fan: This is an outrageous game, with fast gameplay and no mercy style, and this will make any other football game seem boring. So if you bought Madden recently or something avoid this until it bores you out. Anyway, this is a really fun game to play, and it will drive you haywire, recievers not able to catch the ball all the time after a perfect pass, and especially the CPU assistance (gives losing team a total unfair advantage to prevent blowouts), which is too implemented. So far, I have beaten about 18 of the 30 teams and I have noticed that you will drop a lot of balls because the computer hits you hard. But the CPU players always hang on to it. So you may bounce off the wall at that, and some offensive plays are useless and never give you a good result, but all in all, this game is highly reccommended at its new price since it recently went platinum.

      best blitz
Blitz is a really good game it gives you a good amount of plays to do and the new ones are to complicated this has good graphics you can jump on people after the play is over thats fun you can use turbo when you press R1 all the peopl,e i've talked to that have owned the game say it's the best game that is in football if your purchasing it on amazon.com it's a really good price of only [amt].

      Football for everyone
This game is a game for people who don't like football games. And if you do like regular style football games, you will enjoy the change. Give it a try, you can't beat the price!

Duel Masters is a unorignal ripoff!
Duelmasters is a ripoff because it is not orignal I mean seriously it takes shields from pokemon a.k.a [prizes] Attack values and combat system from Yu-gi-oh! And mana fro Magic: The gathering it just rips off every card game out there. I don't now what you see in this if you really want to play a good Trading card game try Magic The gathering or Marvel Vs.

        BEST CARD GAME EVER!
Duel Masters is a great game. It combines good elements of all the other card games like Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon, but has all sorts of innovative new rules. The shield idea is especially good because you don't have to keep track of life points. The games are fairly quick, so you can play it when you only have a little bit of time. The best thing about this game, however, it that there are no superpowerful instant-win cards. Any decent deck has a chance of beating any other deck. Buy this if you enjoy TCG games.

A little too complex for me...
It is pretty complicated, so I play by my own rules. For all you Lupe freaks, you should make a necklace that is a replica of a moon charm and wear it. I am thinking of framing all my Lupe and HoloGraphic cards. If you are in luv with lupes, neomail me at LigerXzero04. (Jeran is the best!!!) Aishas make me choke, lol. I hate cats. If u seem to be a cat hater, *cough* neomail me. I am working on new rules where you can equip your pet with multiple things for example: Equip Jeran's sword as weapon, wooden blocking shield as defence, Jeran's armour as body armour or clothes. And Grundo helmet as something for yer head. (Pretty cool eh?)

Perfect for a starter 2 Neopets TCG
I am have been a Neopets player for nearly 2 years, and I just got this set in christmas 2003. This set had pretty bad cards but it has alot of extremely good cards also. If you play Neopets, neomail my account LigerXzero04.

I like Neopets a LOT! (GO JERAN! Hope he didn't die in that plot twist.) So, naturally, I wanted to buy the TCG. So, I did, and I was NOT disappointed. It was fun building my own deck, but I can't play it yet... okay, I'm rambling. And you can do two things with the two decks: give one to a friend or keep them both. So, get this (and the expansions for maximum entertainment)!

NHL Hitz 2003 is an ice-melting inferno of blistering hockey. It features a new franchise mode for deep gameplay, a full season with every team and every game, in-depth stat tracking, international and all-star teams, fantasy teams and stadiums, and a soundtrack with Rob Zombie and Powerman 5000.

EA now has a decent competetor
This game is a great upgrade from last year. The Franchise mode is one of the best in any video game. You have to build your new franchise up from scratch playing local ice rink teams, all the way up to NHL Teams. And it's not easy either. One Problm with EA's NHL series, was that it was to easy to score. In this game, you really have fight your way to the net to score. This game is one of the most original games on the market. Joe Strummer R.I.P. 1952 - 2002

            Tippy
This game is _awsome_. The play isn't particularly faithful to the actual sport, but as a video game, it's killer. It's fun enough as a one player game, but the more people you play with, the better it gets. I never write reviews, but people have to know that this is one of the best sports games ever. The word must get out.

            I was really surprised :)
Im a big fan of hockey.....and I loved this game, everyone so far has given it big numbers and they arent wrong....my ONLY fault with the game is that there are only 5 players on the ice (including the goalie) there should be 6....but other than that I love it. I especially like the mardi gras heads you can add to your player to make them look all crazy and you can adjust the players size and face and even sex? (either this game is sorta Politically correct or women will soon be joining the NHL hehe) I liked the nicknames you can give your players too. I really like being able to make your own team with its original uniforms and name, and you can buy improved equipment and enhance your players abilities as they gain experience.....the game is easy to get the hang of and lots of fun on all levels....its easy at first but gets REALLY hard as you go on...so it kinda eases you into wanting to play more to improve your team and take on harder and harder challenges. I just rented this game from blockbuster video but I would like to buy it....I didnt want to bring it back hehe I only played with one player but I could see this game being GREAT at parties hehe. It even has good music from contemporary bands, makes me feel like im going to the hockey game.....all in all one of the better games for the PS2 ive played so far, I think computer games may eventually replace movies for entertainment because you dont have to just passivly just sit there and zone out and drool in front of the screen....you actually affect the outcome of whats going on in front of you...but you know that already hehe

            NCAA Football 2003

Football junkies have long been accustomed to loving gridiron video games while tolerating their weaknesses. We appreciate the fact that developers try to incorporate genuine college or pro atmospheres into the games, but it drives us nuts when the fight songs are incorrect, the out patterns are automatic, or the running game is unrealistically easy or hard.

But then along comes NCAA Football 2003 by EA Sports, a game so good that after a few weeks, even your dog will wonder why you never find the time to communicate anymore. Start with the AI--by far the best yet in a college game. Defenses not only react to your play calling and adjust their strategies as the game evolves, but they expertly disguise their coverages and swarm to the ball with speed and decisiveness. In addition, your computer opponent actually makes intelligent clock decisions when time is running out (shocking!). The running game at times is a bit easy on the lower difficulty levels (especially if a back like Oregon's Onterrio Smith has the ball), but that's why they made All-American and Heisman levels.

The graphics, as are typical in football video games over the last couple of years, are extremely good, and the between-play animations provide extra spark to the rivalries (taunting runs rampant). But the graphics aren't the star of the show--it's the dynasty mode, stupid. With enough special features and stat categories to keep college football hopheads happy for months--including a comprehensive recruiting engine, a customizable intro screen that features your favorite school's colors and fight song, and a Trophy Room that displays all your bowl and rivalry game hardware--NCAA Football 2003 just might make fans forget the depressing length of the off-season. --Rivers Janssen

              Pros:

              • Terrific AI
              • Fans of almost any Division I program will be happy with the team-specific features
              • Passing engine actually requires you to read defenses intelligently

              Cons:

              • Commentary is a bit predictable

Note: This review refers to the PlayStation2 version of the game.

              Simply Amazing
wow. i just got my gamecaube as a very, very early christmas gift, and the first game i bought was NCAA 2003....i haven't stopped playing since i first popped that little mini game disc in my new GC system! it is i n c r e d i b l e! the graphics are silky smooth...the animations are fantastic...and the gameplay is superb. gone are the days of the "money" plays...gone are the days of the easy sack...this is college footabll gameplay on the highest level. the pagentry...the mascots...the cheerleaders on the sidelines! i can't say enough about this game! the running game can be very tough, and the passing game is very challenging...but, of course, EA Sports included "slider bars" so you can customize whatever you want about the gameplay. the commentary is terrific with Corso and Herbstreit (sp?) in the booth adding color...the stadium sound effects are insane...the crowd goes nuts... and the bands play on!! whew! did you get all that?? look, i bought the GameCube because i did alot of research, and everyone said how great the sports games were on this little miracle box, and they weren't lyin'. if there is one game you MUST own for the GameCube it is NCAA College Football 2003....it is simply an amazing game. Deep deep dynasty mode...creat-a-school, create-a-player, 50 all mascot teams (yes, you can battle it out on the grid iron with Testudo vs. the Nitanny Lion mascots!), career stats, tropy room, rivalry games with trophies on the line....the list goes on.....buy this game, now.
              GO PENN STATE!

              peace,

              cicatelli

Not bad at all... fun to play right outta the box...
I was thinking of just waiting for the new madden but I got impatient and bought EA's NCAA Football 2003 instead. The graphics are great, the gameplay is smooth, and the controls make sense.

              Some things I like:

The passing is easy, you don't have to press a button before you can pass, making quick releases possible.

It is easy to set the difficulty to exactly how you want it. They have junior varsity through heisman, but each element of the game from run blocking to pass rushing is yery customizable, which makes for competitive games.

The dynasty mode is fun, and you can even customize your schedule to an extent.

You can knock over the first down chain guys when you go out of bounds, and the crowds sound realistic.

The announcers aren't too repetitive, and they actually use the player's names when talking about them (in the second year of my dynasty when they have names, in the first year they have only numbers).

Recruiting is fun, more fun than drafting players.

Overall, this is a sweet game, and I recommend it highly.

              WOW!!!
I bought this game and wow! The graphics are amazing and the rosters are right on target. The controls are pretty simple and the play calling is easy. It includes all of the NCAA division one football teams and has all of the players on the rosters. It is really fun because you win trophies from playing your rivals. It also features all of the fight songs for each team. There are also modes where you can create a team and a player, play seasons or own a dynasty, and play mascot mode to have a little fun. All in all, this game is the best sports game I have ever played.

              Tony Hawk Pro Skater

Tony Hawk, famous for his 720 move (a mid-air 360-degree somersault done twice), is widely credited as being one of the best skateboarders in the world. Hawk lends his technical advice and character likeness to this nine-level title, which is among the better skating titles on the PlayStation. While it is cool to play as Hawk, would-be skate pros can also choose to play as one of eight other skaters. Each character has a different riding style and at least three unique tricks to master.

Solo players will skate to win the world championship, with over 100 moves available to score points, including slides, grinds, and landing tricks. A split screen allows players to compete against each other. During this head-to-head mode, you can score style points, race between obstacles, or play tag. If you opt for graffiti mode, both players compete against each other by "tagging" objects while performing their tricks. A replay mode is available for players to view highlights at the end of a game.

The level design is enormous, with 10 interactive courses, including skate and pool parks, half pipes, and a downtown area. Each skating environment is filled with secret places, shortcuts, and obstacles. Once you get the moves down, you can perform a trick off of just about any object that you see. Tony Hawk is not the only star in this game--the music stands strong on its own. Cool cuts come from Primus and the Dead Kennedys--which can be inspiring during the frantic onscreen action. While game control is relatively solid, there are some minor problems in tight areas.

This title is so large it is overwhelming, given the enormity of levels and available moves. However, persistent skate pros will master this game with a little practice. (Fortunately, there is a practice mode to scrape your knees on.) --Kasty Thomas

                Pros:

                • Variety of moves and tricks
                • Excellent course design and graphics
                • Solid controls
                Cons:
                • Control problems in tight areas

The game that spawned numerous sequels and rip offs
Extreme sports video games, up until the year 2000, were usually extremely lacking. The games often suffered from poor play control and graphics, and seemed rushed. But at long last, in the year 2000, Activision set out to correct all that had been done wrong previously with such titles. They went the extra mile to try to make the perfect skateboarding game. Did they succeed? Read on for my review of Tony Hawk Pro Skater.

                PROS:
-UNLIKE A NUMBER OF EXTREME SPORTS TITLES, THIS ONE USES ACTUAL PEOPLE! As the title of the game may have implied, Tony Hawk is a playable character. In addition to Hawk, there are a number of other pro boarders selectable.
-THE GAME USES ACTUAL MUSIC BY ACTUAL BANDS! Most extreme sports titles feature lame, generic music that sounds like it would be better off elsewhere. In this game, that is NOT true. Bands like Goldfinger and Primus contributed music to this game, and their contributuions are one of the things that make this game so great. The other bands that contributed aren't as well known, but their songs are no less excellent.
-NO TWO CHARACTERS ARE EXACTLY ALIKE. Although every character plays in a similar fashion, each one has his or her own special moves. Likewise, what one character may lack in one area he may make up for in another, while with another character it may be vice versa.
-THERE ARE A NUMBER OF INTERESTING LOCATIONS. This game's settings are another great strength that it has. You'll go everywhere from an abandoned warehouse to an abandoned mall, and even a dam! There is no shortage of cool places to go in this games.

                CONS:
-CONTROLS TAKE SOME GETTING USED TO. If you've never played any game by Activision that uses this same game engine, expect to take some time adjusting to the controls. Once you get the hang of them, though, you'll end up liking them.
-LATER ENTRIES IN THE SERIES WERE CONSIDERABLY BETTER. Although this was a good game, the later games were better, featuring more characters (and some even cooler secret ones), more secrets, and more music. Oh well, this game is still good.
-THE GAME GETS TOO HARD, TOO FAST. This game starts easy, but gets hard after a few short play sessions. Expect to blister your thumbs a lot, and often times accomplish nothing for it.

                OVERALL:
Overall this is a very good game. Sure, it's overrated, but that's because it's a good game! If you want the best skateboarding games out there, the games in the Tony Hawk series are exactly what you're looking for.

This Game Makes You Want To Disconnect Your Phone
When it comes to playing video games on either PC or Playstation, I favor mostly RPGs and Strategy games. And as for sports, I focus mainly on football and hockey. It's never too late to broaden your horizons. I finally got around to picking this game up after I bought Tony Hawk 2 for my niece this Christmas. She kicked my arse rather rapidly, but that was okay because in the process I got seriously addicted to playing this game. Seeing as how I haven't done any skating in almost 15 years (I'm 23 now), I kinda allowed my self to forget how much damned fun it was. Yeah, stop laughing. Anyway, I fired up THPS last night and the world just kinda...well...went away for awhile. Graphics are not too shabby, and you never suffer death by camera like in a few other games I've played. Sound effects are excellent. I could do without the punk soundtrack, since I never got into that. I prefer the soundtrack on THPS2. But that's okay, since I just load Outkast into my stereo and continue to bust some sick moves. Controls are near-perfect, and get even moreso once you master the moves. I'm going to be playing this one for a while.

One of the best sports games ever!
From warehouses, schools, and malls to big citys and a ship, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is an awesome sports game! So many moves available, it has to be one of the best games i own. It has awesome features like options to save and replay your runs in any level any time you want, you can do a two minute run in any level with Single Session, and you can play in any level as long as you want in Free Skate.

Although, this game does suffer a little bit of damage. The first mistake is the lack of challange up to the sixth level:

1st Level: Warehouse - Way too easy, i got all five tapes in one turn.
2nd Level: School - SIMPLE, if you can't get all five tapes then there's something wrong with you.
3rd Level: Mall - Easy as well, took a few trys to get the secret tape, but, now that i know where it's at this level is easy as ...
4th Level, 1st Competition: Skate Park - Come on! These judges are way too easy to impress, you don't even have to get 10,000 to win the gold!
5th Level: Downtown - Bit more challenging, but most of its easy.
6th Level: Downhill Jam - The hardest level in the game, there are several things wrong here. First, S-K-A-T-E, how in the ... are you supposed to get SKATE when the E is at an almost impossible position? I've seen it done but it's hard as ... to get. Second, the secret tape is way to hard to get, i mean, come on, you have to have slow mode on to get it, otherwise, it's very very hard to reach. Why didn't they put this as the last level instead of Streets? It's way harder than that level.
7th Level, 2nd Competion: Burnside - Great challenge, awesome layout.
8th Level: Streets - The best level for the fact that every challenge is as easy as it is hard.
9th Level, 3rd Competition: Roswell - Very hard to impress judges, but great layout. (Remember, you have to get all gold in all three competitions to get your video)

                Hope you enjoyed my review.

                WCW/NWO Revenge
                Made by THQ
Age Group: 5 years and up
                  Amazon base price: $19.98
                  List price: $39.99 (that's 50% off!)
                  Used price: $0.97
Buy one from zShops for: $10.95
WCW/nWo Revenge improves on its predecessor, WCW vs. nWo World Tour, in almost every way. First, the graphics have improved so that the characters are very lifelike and the fights are a bit more realistic. You will also see a huge roster of familiar faces and pay-per-view backdrops such as Starrcade, Superbrawl, and Halloween Havoc. Unfortunately, the sound has not improved, leaving you with just the oohs and ahhs of the crowd plus the WCW Nitro theme. Sorry, no commentary.

The gameplay is very similar to WCW vs. nWo World Tour except that timing has become much more important--you don't just pound the buttons for special moves. There are several game modes, including challenges for all WCW belts (some are available only after you unlock them), battle royal, handicapped matches, and exhibition matches. Furthermore, winning belts will unlock other wrestlers such as Kidman, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and Curt Hennig.

Although there is room for improvement, WCW/nWo fans will enjoy WCW/nWo Revenge. --Hugh Arnold

                  Pros:

                  • Great graphics
                  • Diverse roster
                  • Better gameplay
                  Cons:
                  • Weak sound

                  N64's BEST wrestling game, PERIOD!
When I started playing with N64, I think I was 7, but I bought WCW World Tour, and while it was all good and all, it was missing SOMETHING.

Enter WCW/nWo Revenge. The game definately puts World Tour to shame. And if you guys know WWF Warzone, you can see that Bret Hart is in this game. Apart from the theme music(Horrible), no cage and no Triple threat, this game is still the best.

THQ could've made this game better. They could've:
*Added cage and triple threat(More Game modes)

*Put in Thunder, Uncensored, Spring Stampede, Slamboree, Great American Bash, Road Wild, Fall Brawl and World War 3 as well (Arenas).

*Replaced the other 2 factions (DOA and another one I can't remember), and it's wrestlers with more wrestlers, like Norman Smiley, The Cat, Johnny Swinger, Villano V, Silver King, Wrath and Ric Flair(More Wrestlers).

*Made the career a little more like Wrestlemania 2000, where you had some storylines and stuff. (Better career).

*Make the edit-a-wrestler like No Mercy's edit-a-wrestler, as well as create new wrestlers. (Better edit-a-wrestler.)

Apart from that, it's the best WCW game EVER, although Thunder was close. Well, that's that. GET Revenge, and you won't rgret it. Also get WWF Wrestlemania 2000... if you can.

The game is great except for the sound!
"Revenge is just too sweet!!!" The game is almost perfect except for the sound is very weak. The entrance music is bad and the no commentary isn't good at all. The gameplay is a lot of fun. I could play the game for 24 hours straight if I had the chance. My favorite modes are the 40 man Battle Royal and the Championship modes. I like playing for the tag team belts with my friend. The controls are easy to learn. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out the moves after browsing through the guide book. The options are cool to mess around with. Overall I give Revenge a 5 for its cool gameplay, the sweet costume edit, and the neat options. I personally do not own Revenge because I don't have an N64 only a playstation. I have played it at my friends houses though and it is awesome!!!

                  What a game!
What a game! This game takes the action packed World Championship Wrestling programs to your Nintendo 64! The game features TV, US, Tag, and World Title Tournaments and INCREDIBLE control! Unlike WWF Warzone, There are no codes to memorize to do a finisher, It's real easy! And the character likenesses are incredible! Some of the characters are Hollywood Hogan Giant Brian Adams w/ Vincent Scott Hall w/ Dusty Rhodes Scott "Flash" Norton Eric Bischoff w/ Miss Elizabeth Big Poppa Pump, Scott Steiner Curt Hennig w/ Rick Rude Kevin Nash Sting Lex Luger Macho Man Randy Savage w/ Miss ELizabeth Konan Raven Lodi Sick Boy Riggs Reese Kidman Roddy Piper Diamond Dallas Page w/ Kimberly Goldberg Bret "Hitman" Hart Chris Benoit Rick Steiner Fit Finley Booker T Saturn Disco Inferno Jim Neidhart British Bulldog Glacier Meng w Jimmy Hart Van Hammer Kanyon/Mortis Yugi Nagata w/ Sonny Ohno Larry Zbysko Barberian La Parka Stevie Ray Chris Jericho Eddy Guerrero Psychosis Rey Mysterio Jr Dean Malenko Juvintud Guerrera Chavo Guerrero Jr Ultimo Dragon Alex Wright

As wella s several "fake" wrestlers that have similar moves to Ric Flair, The Rock, Taz, and more.

Greatest wrestling game I've ever played. A combination of good graphics and GREAT gameplay make it that. until WCW/nWo Mania comes out, which will feature alot of this as well as a Cage match and create your own, and the abillity to fight in the parking lots!, This will be the best game. Attitude can't hold a candle!

Enjoy it! And like Hollywood Hogan said "Revenge is ust too sweeet!"

                    A Great game
The game is great, you get the best basketball players. The multiplayer is good. And the the story is well-built.

                    Phat.
In the beginning, there was NBA Jam. And it was good.

But lo, then the NBA Jam series began to be less good. Various other basketball games came along, and for a while it seemed that we would be subjected to "serious" basketball simulations for the rest of eternity, or else just horrible ripoffs of NBA Jam. And it was not so good.

But then, along with the next-gen systems came NBA Street, a slick basketball game that wasn't a full-strength simulation and yet wasn't a (complete) NBA Jam clone! It was good.

And now there is NBA Street 2. And lo, it is very good.

They've taken the gameplay of the original NBA Street and polished it up real nicely. The new cel-shaded engine looks awesome -- it gives everything a sort of cartoonish 70s edge without becoming goofy or overly unrealistic. They added dozens of new trick moves, tons of new (and old) players, and some much-needed new abilities (such as trick counters, special passes, and a way to control someone who's not the ball carrier). You can also play 3- and 4-player games now, while Street 1 limited you to just 2.

Other improvements include the new "Be A Legend" mode, where you can build a custom player up from humble beginnings (you start out at a neighborhood court in New York City) to be a national powerhouse on the street-ball circuit. There are a number of real-life courts featured in the game, rendered in fairly amazing detail (including a great-looking 3D crowd). They've also ditched their annoying announcer (Joe "The Show") for a real NYC DJ, who provides some high-quality (if occasionally odd) commentary that takes much longer to get old. Custom teams can now only have 5 players on them (down from 15), which means you can no longer have *every* good player in the game on your team at the same time. Gamebreaker shots (which subtract points from your opponent) are back, as are new, hard-to-pull-off-but-unblockable "Level 2 Gamebreakers" (which are just pretty damn cool to watch). There's also a new set of music, featuring the new "EA Trax" feature (basically, EA licensed a bunch of artists whose music is featured in all their games now).

Is there a downside? Well, you can play 3- and 4-player games, but you can't put 3 human players on the same team! That's kind of a bummer. Also, the AI is still pretty weak, even on the highest settings (the game compensates by basically crippling your characters stats' at the higher settings, which is *not* the way you should do it!). But it's still a lot of fun, and the multiplayer's great.

Anyone who enjoys arcade basketball will find NBA Street 2 to be a great game, and a big improvement over the original. If you're not sure, give it a rent, and it'll probably win you over.

Best basketball game since NBA Street!
The first NBA street had alot of cool characters that you could rally up against or place beside you on your team. Also you can create your own player and the items that you the player have to unlock are countless. This is the exact same for NBA Street Vol. 2 but with a little more. I love how they suped all modes up and the pace of the basketball game is even better on screen than before. I still wish they had a few different camera angles to play the game but that works easily for instant replay mode where you can move around your whole character to watch every millimeter he made to make that fabulous dunk. Anyways this is a good game to buy mainly because I'm not a real basketball fan but I really like this game and the length it takes to complete everything and unlock every cool hidden item the game contains is very lengthy!
