    My Cat Loves Them Too!
I bought this for my cat, who loves boxes and I wanted to something attractive that I could reconfigure on whim. He thinks they're fun, but I, a 40 something person, adore them. I love trying to figure out new configurations. I'm now saving up for more, but am afraid my house will end up being decorated in "coolblox"!

    Best Toy of the Year!
CoolBlox is awesome! Every parent should buy a kit for their children for Christmas. I have 2 daughters who love it. It teaches them how to build and use their imagination. They play together for hours. With the soft texture I dont even have to worry about them getting hurt if they throw them at each other!

    Coolblox
My three kids love this kit & play happily for hours with this
    toy.
I will buy a larger kit so their friends can build as well.
I don't have to worry about them putting small pieces like
    Lego in their mouths.
They are soft & no one gets hurt when they throw them around.
I like the fact that they use their imagination,as well as
having pictures to follow if they want to.
    My chidren are 5,8,10yrs.old.
    They are durable & soft.
    I would definitely recommend Coolblox.

A good stand-in for Lego, but at a much lower cost
Mega Bloks makes several sizes of blocks -- "Baby" (for very small children), "Maxi" (for toddlers), "Mega" (fits Lego Duplo), and "Micro" (fits regular Lego). This product is a big bucketful of Micro Mega Bloks -- essentially, you get a big pile of Lego-equivalent, at a very reasonable price.

I've read over and over that Lego is supposedly superior to Mega Blok products because of the "fit," but I've tried connecting these Mega Bloks to each other, then to regular Lego, and comparing it to Lego-with-Lego. Unless you're a die-hard Lego afficionado, there just isn't that big a difference, folks. I'm sure the average 4-year-old building whatever his/her imagination dictates will not see a difference.

The bottom line? A good product at a good price.

      Just Like Other Brands
Firstly, unlike what the other reviewer stated, these blocks are NOT bigger than Legos. They are the same size, just 1/2 the price. They are awesome. I purchased a few of these to add some of the more common shapes to my Lego collection. The little guy that comes with it is not as nice as the Lego men, but every other peice is nearly identical. Even the colors match almost exactly. Buy these to expand your collection, but it does not come with wheels or many other extra parts, so be sure to get some other kits.

Fun for kids of all ages
Blocks are a kid must-have. Even the most paranoid parent (like my Mom, who refused to get me an Easy Bake Oven or Lite-Brite for ever-loving fear of burning myself) will get their kids blocks. This particular brand is like Legos, but better. They're HUGE, which makes them easy for younger kids to fit together. Their larger size also makes it impossible for babies to swallow. All 3 of my kids (ages 5, 4 and 13 months) play with these blocks together. My 4 year old knocked my socks off when he produced an "airplane" he'd made with them simply by looking at the side of the label. Educational? You bet. What else can you get for next to no money that sparks your child's imagination more than some sort of building blocks? These just happen to be my favorite. Oh- and they are VERY durable.

The perfect toy for any child who has interest in building
My 5 year old daughter loves this set. We bought a smaller set for Christmas 2003 when she had just turned 5 and she, I and my husband immediately became addicted. Very few toys can keep a 5 year old's attention for longer than a few minutes, but we would play with these for hours coming up with every combination we could think of. The shape and combination possibilities are limitless. You can even construct them to spin and move. She has learned so much about geometry, magnets, structure, and physics, it is amazing.

As a point of reference, she has not shown a huge amount of interest in Legos, but she plays with with Kids K'Nex constantly.

        Great!
These are great. My 10-year-old son got a set and has played with them a lot. They are very durable and very strong. Easy to make a lot of designs and encourages creativity. He also got some for his friend's birthday. Good stuff!

          Great educational toy!
I recently bought these blocks for my son's 3rd birthday. He is also into Legos so I thought that he would like this for building 'castles' and bigger houses. He loves it! I like it because he is learning about a wider variety of shapes than just the typical square, triangle, etc. He is learning about semi-circles, cylinders et al. The thing that I like best about this set is that the cleanup is just as important as the building. There is a definite sense of order that a child will naturally learn by putting this set away. All of the blocks are arranged into 5 boxes by type of shape, and then there is a drawing on the bottom of each box that tells the child where each piece is supposed to go. I told my son to "match the picture" and after just a few days, he insists on putting away the pieces by himself. Right now, I help him by putting half of the pieces into the box and he can then see how the rest of them fit in. I don't think that it will take very long before he gets it all right by himself. He also picks up each full box and stacks it onto the wagon. He then pulls on the handle to put it away in is place. I just wish the string were longer so that he didn't have to bend over to pull this (and he's little!), but I guess the company made it short for safety reasons. Overall, this is a great toy and worth the money.

          Oustanding toy...
My daughter is 5 and is nuts about blocks. Loves them at school, etc. and while I love to buy her the moon I was hesitant into sinking several hundred dollars into blocks since she is already 5 years old. I came across this set and it is terrfic. the shapes of the blocks are outlined in the storage containers so putting the blocks back is a lot of fun too, kind of like a puzzle! I really liked that it has wheels and can be moved so effortlessly to the kitchen floor, etc. I plan on adding the Melissa/Doug set to THIS set as well just to give extra blocks for play...PERSONALLY I think 100 blocks is necessary b/c she does seem to run out with the 68 piece set so I think adding the box of Melissa/Doug will give her some additional playing pieces... I really like this et and think it is well worth the money.

            One-year-old's Favorite Toy
Our son received this toy for his first birthday. We weren't exactly thrilled to have another block set... we already have two. Boy, were we wrong! Our son LOVES this set. There are a number of advantages to foam blocks in contrast to wooden. He doesn't damage anything by throwing them (himself included), he doesn't chew off any paint/varnish on the blocks and we even take them in the bathtub (they float and adhere to the sides of the tub). In addition, they come in a reusable storage bag. All the blocks easily repack in the bag, so we take them everywhere with us... to parks, vacations, visits to grandparents. This is his favorite toy. I know our son is supposedly a little young for this toy, but he loves stacking the blocks and placing them in and out of the bag. My only complaint is that we've toted the block bag around so often that the handle has broken. :)

            Best buy for blocks!
I purchased this set of blocks after much deliberation. Did I want another toy around the house with so many parts? Was it better to go with wooden blocks? Would it be age appropriate for my 2 year old even though the bag said 3 years? I ended up purchasing them for my son's 2nd birthday & I have no regrets. He loves them & has had a great time sharing them with his 4 year old brother. They play with them at least once a day & thankfully clean up is easy since they fit back into the bag they came in. The colors are very appealing & since they are constructed of foam there's no chance of injury if someone decides to throw one. Downside might be if you have a biter they would be very enticing to sink their teeth into. I plan on buying them for a gift next time I have the chance.

              Cool Cool Cool
My son loves this toy I think he would build a whole house out of them if he could. I hope they come out with more sets in the future.

I have two children ages 7 and 10. They love building it. It promotes teamwork; its soft, durable and they can throw it at each other without getting hurt. One child suffers from asthma,m but this is non allergenic so it's a wonderful toy and I highly highly recommend it to anyone.

                wonderfully surprised
My sons age 3 and 4 received this as a gift and I was surprised by how much they love this. Their imaginations ran wild with these magnets. They have kept themselves busy for hours playing with the magnets-they have found many uses beyond building with them. The only problem was that we needed to buy a bigger set because this small set does not have enough pieces for both of them to build the things that they want. Definitely worth the money!!!

Great for the imagination (but not for little children)
These little rods and balls really get your imagination going as you learn what shapes and angles build sturdy structures. I highly recommend this toy for young teens to adults. The only caveat is a big one: these are incredibly powerful magnets, and as such can permanently damage any electronics that have computer chips. (Name one that doesn't, besides your toaster.) Placing just one rod against any kind of display/TV screen will permanently alter its color display, reason enough to keep these out of the hands of young ones. Even so, our family can't get enough of these; we keep ordering more to see what else we can build!
