Twist 'N Fold Big Yellow Bus
Made by PlayHut
Age Group: 36 months - 6 years
    Amazon base price: $19.99
    List price: $29.99 (that's 33% off!)
Long before children are old enough to ride a yellow school bus, they long to be a passenger in this intriguing vehicle. Toddlers and preschoolers will especially appreciate this nylon, pop-up bus that measures a whopping 50 inches tall, 36 inches long, and 25 inches wide and is shaped just like a real bus. Once the freestanding bus is set up (it literally pops out of a sack and snaps into shape), children can set up chairs and walk about inside, dreaming up all kinds of imaginative school stories and bus-driver dramas. The yellow and black bus comes with a built-in crawl-through divider between front and back. Park a chair in the driver's seat and children can turn the built-in steering wheel. Folding takes patience and practice, but it will all fit--amazingly--into a small storage sack.--Gail Hudson

    Great Bus!!
My daughter received this as a gift for her second birthday. She and her friends cannot get enough of the bus! She loves to have tea parties in the bus. I love the fact that if folds up and can be put away at the end of the day.

    This Bus Rocks!
This Yellow School Bus is a fabulous toy. Just like a real school bus, you can fill it with screaming children. This toy is a great sanity maker for all the frazzled parents out there. Take it from me, when I need to pour myself a glass of water in peace..just lead the screamin' varments right to that Yellow School bus and drop em' off at school! There are times that the school bus isnt so durable, but thats alright. As long as you leave it in the privacy of your own home and yard you'll be fine. (It tips over sometimes.) Other than that, it's worth every penny. My 2 year old son is a real bruiser and he loves to get tangled up in his school bus!

Great Product- Endless Fun and compacts easily for storage
My daughter (2 1/2) and her friends love playing in this bus- they spend endless hours being the bus driver and driving the kids to school. Also, when they're done, it folds up and slides under the couch for easy storage. Great Product!

    Grand Coupe Car
    Made by Little Tikes
    Age Group: 18 months - 4 years
      Amazon base price: $59.99
Little ones who crave the feel of a real car will love scooting about in this sturdy aqua and yellow plastic automobile. Like the cartoon character Fred Flintstone, children use the steering wheel for direction control (front wheels turn easily) while making the car go with their foot power. Only the driver's-side door opens and children can sit on a bench-style seat with legs poking down to the ground for easy feet access. Dash accessories include a pretend car key, a beeping horn button, a decal gas gauge, and a speedometer. An ample storage compartment in the back can hold pretend tools, emergency road supplies, or simply a snack for the road. Approximately 35 inches tall, 31 inches long, and 18 inches wide. --Gail Hudson

      Good quality
This car seems to be really sturdy and built better than other brands. My toddlers love it and fight over who gets to ride.

      Grand Coupe deserves it name!
When I was little I used to have one now I am going to get one for my brother. I work at a day care and they have one and all the kids do is fight over who gets to ride in the big boy car. It is a must have if you have a little kid. They all love it. They are probably going to buy another one for the day car because it is so popular. They got a Gamecube at the day care, but everyone still insists on using the Grand Coupe. There are kids from 6 months up to 7 years to older kids ride on top. No one has ever gotten hurt. It is the best toy. One time they where fighting over who got to go in it and they accidently pulled of the door the company sent a new door with all the hardware! It is a great buy!

      "A great car"!
My son has had this Grand Coupe Car for atleast 4 months. The high quality & overal shape for little tots to get in & out work out great! My 23 month old loves to get in, slam the door closed, & even turn the key that makes a click-sound. His overrall favorite part is that he loves being mobile & also if a grown-up pushes him around the house or outside. Mine gets the giggles whenever we do that. Little tikes also sells the gas pump that can attach to this car. There is a gas cap on the left side of the car. Kids get a kick out of pretending to fill up the tank! Also the feature my son also likes is the trunck in the back to store small favorite items! We are very please with this ride-in toy car! Highly recommend!

        speech therapist recommended
My daughter, who turns 2 this july, goes to speech therapy. The therapist pulls out this game to try to get my little one to not only speak, but to put the coins in the slot (follow direction), take them out, match them up, learn animals and colors. Also to take turns. This is a Wonderful teaching game! Please note the coins a small, and could be a choking hazard. But overall I recommend this game.

        Wonderful first game
This is a great first game. It is very short in duration and teaches the basics of game playing (taking your turn, wining, following rules) without being overly involved or lengthy. The bingo chip dispenser is great fun for toddlers and makes the game very enticing. I highly recommend this game! However, I think that this game is probably more appropriate for 2-4 year olds than 3-6 year olds. I've played this with several 2 years olds and they've gotten the game immediately. This was some of the best 9 dollars that I've spent and will be giving this as a gift many times.

A great game for building many skills
I bought this game for my 2 year old son and have been very pleased. His occupational therapist introduced it to him to help him with his fine motor skills. It takes two hands to put the little coins in the slot (one to hold the coin and one to hold the barn) and a little strength to pull the lever to get the coins out. Even though he is too young to play the game, he loves to match the animals to the cards. It has been great to teach him the animal names and sounds, too. He loves to play and it will grow with his cognative abilities. We highly recommend this toy!

My Little Pony: Cotton Candy Cafe
        Made by Hasbro
        Age Group: 4 - 7 years
          Amazon base price: $14.99
If your kids are still in that charming, syrupy-sweet phase of toddlerhood, maybe frequent visits to Ponyville will keep them there a bit longer. The place would give Norman Rockwell's paintings a run for their money--especially "Cotton Candy" Pony's rose-covered café. Ponies can host tea parties, have ice cream, eat cotton candy, and get unlimited refills of cake. Other sweet accessories include "café food," a tea service, trays and tableware, tables, a balcony, working cash register, slices of cake, and an oven. For human patrons, there's a brush for Cotton Candy's mane, a charm, a friendship ribbon, and decals for decorating both the café and their rooms. Diane Beall

          OK
upon opening this toy i dont think its as cute as it looks in the box. compare to the fisher price sweet street houses which have so much more detail for the same price. there is not that much to it but if your child loves my little pony she will probably like this.

          ok
my three year old daughter likes this toy. it is fun but the the railing falls off and my daughter and i get fustrated with the oven. the oven on ours will not stay shut, none of the other reviews have said anything about this so it must not be a commom problem. my daughter really likes the tea cups and cake part and has pony tea parties so over all it is a good toy.

          Very Poor Quality !!!!!!!
My twin daughters are very frustrated by the turrets falling off every time they touch the castle (they do not "snap" into place). The crown and the plastic heart never stay on and my daughters can't move the elevator up with out me. I struggle to get the elevator to move my self. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the quality of this toy!

            A preschool favorite
I'm buying this toy for my son's 3rd birthday because he makes a beeline to it everytime we go to our parent-child preschool class. He usually sets up a toy phone nearby, too. I get to be the customer and bring a basket of toy food to him which he "scans" on the notepad area. It's nice when toys leave something to the imagination. He loves the play bills and coins and pretending to make change. I believe that this toy will grow with my child and still be fun for him in a few years.

I figure that if this toy has survived daily use by multiple 2-4 year olds, it will survive around our house. If it doesn't, then I will update this posting!!!

Super buy on an educational and entertaining product
This item was used in my Sunday School classroom ages (4-7) earlier this year. Okay, so you are probably wondering in what application did I use this for in a Sunday School room? A: Matthew and Zacchaeus, the tax collectors.

Due to its popularity, I decided it was in my best interest to purchase a duplicate so that ten children would not be crowding around one register. The register was never not in use during the entire class time (1 hour and 15 minutes) except when I pulled them away for story time. Suffice it to say that it was a major hit.

It has been my experience that the special traits that make it a favorite with the children are: 1. Calculator features (the children who are familiar with numbers were thrilled that they could use it for real life addition and subtraction transactions). 2. Credit card that swipes through a slit in the register and note pad (these two items made the setting more "real life" as they are familiar with these adult items). 3. Size (this particular register is the largest available-unless you are willing to spring for a real one). END

              My Kids Liked It
I received Squashblox as a gift from a friend. At first, I had trouble putting stuff together, but the kids kept at it and played with them for hours. Once you get the hang of the velcro flaps, it's pretty easy to build some creative stuff. The train accessory was the favorite for my son and he played conductor with his friends. The blocks are well made and fun colors. The structures can be knocked down fairly easily, but then again they are landing in a bunch of cushions so no one gets hurt. And tearing down the creations is part of the fun. The blocks store neatly, although there are many little accessory pieces, so it would be nice if the manufacturer gave a bag to store the pieces in the future so they don't get lost. Overall a fun toy and neat concept I would recommend it to anyone with preschoolers in the house who tear apart the couch.

              Creative fun
I gave these blocks to my niece and nephew for birthdays. They seemed to have a great time coming up with all types of creations. The train set was fun, but they also used the blocks for hopscotch or small houses or even a toy box. It seemed like a good idea and product.

              Flop blocks
I bought this item for my 3 & 5 year old grandsons who LOVE to build things and love to create their own special places to play and hide. The 3 year old tried 1st and then enlisted the help of the 5 year old who rapidly became totally frustrated. Then Dad tried to help, but the "blocks" are not rigid enough to hold their shape if they are bumped or touched, so the construction collapses. No one gets hurt, but the kids were completely annoyed, then just wanted the blocks out of the way. In little over an hour the blocks had been consigned to the donations bin. (...)

Put some spring in your step! This sturdy pogo stick, sized junior-through-granny, will safely support bouncers weighing 80 to 160 pounds. It seems easier to tame than most, and you can quickly find yourself using the entire 8 inches of spring travel for blasting off. Awsome Pogo!!!
This stick is the the greatest thing ever! My friend just got it a few days ago in just the first few jumps he was already getting over a foot of air! it was was crazy even he was amazed. Even I who had never really done it before learned pretty fast on this stick. Plus the foam is awsome it feels really good on your hands and legs unlike other pogo sticks. but the foam at the bottom of the stick did tear a little but that doesn't really matter, oh and as for the tip it seems like whenever I see my friend hes bouncing on this pogostick and the tip hasn't worn very much at all.
I very highly recomend this pogostick for beginers or pros alike and its a very good price too. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAwsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                GREAT OUTDOOR TOY
Our new foam covered Master Pogo has stood up to punishing abuse by my children and thier friends. Contrary to other reviews, our rubber tip shows little sign of wear and will probably last for several more months. Our Pogos rubber tip does look different than our old Master Pogos, so I guess it was redesigned and is much improved.

According to my kids, the black and yellow foam covering makes the pogo very comfortable to ride because it doesn't hurt thie inside of their legs.

Safety is of course a major concern. I make sure everyone using the pogo wears a helmet. All and all this has proven to be a very durable toy, one that my kids will undoubtedly enjoy for many yeart to come. I hightly recommend it.

                Great Fun, but pros only
I think this pogo stick is great fun. Althogh there were some bad reviews, i still bought this item. I found it pretty good, I'm a good pogo-er, i even hold a record of 3024 jumps in my town.therefore i am qualified to use any pogo sick, and im considered to bee a pro. I just reccomend that you buy a replacement tip with it, and you need some pogo experience.

                Fashion Polly! Perfect Picnic Set
                Made by Mattel
                Age Group: 4 - 8 years
                  Amazon base price: $14.99
Polly is headed for a picnic accompanied by a handsome young fellow identified on the box as "her new friend Steven." And Steven is bound to be a good friend for some time to come as long as he keeps getting access to accessories such as these. Not only does the pair get to travel in style in a sporty SUV, they've also packed in-line skates to have more fun when they arrive at the picnic locale. They're dressed in cool summer clothes but also come equipped with plastic jackets, shoes, and long pants in case the weather turns brisk. A simple spread of plastic food has been toted along, although it looks like this pair may be too busy to eat. Best of all, Steven wears a shirt with "Steven" printed on it in big letters in case Polly or you forget who he is. --John Moe

                  Smarty's Workshop
                  Made by VTech Industries
                  Age Group: 36 months - 7 years
                    Amazon base price: $29.99
                    List price: $59.99 (that's 50% off!)
Smarty, a robot character who gestures and speaks, is designed to teach kids about numbers, shapes, and colors by engaging them in a number of home improvement projects. First the good points: Smarty, who is a kind of mechanical Bob the Builder, is nicely modeled, and his gestures really bring him to life, giving the feeling that he is actually talking to you. Likewise the included plastic tools are solid, chunky, and fun to hold and use. The bad news: the activities are repetitive and unsatisfying, the sound is unclear, and the learning content is questionable. The biggest problem is that the projects, which include building a pool and a picture frame, bear little relation to the activities that produce them, like hitting the red peg three times. When you complete a task, Smarty says "Good job!" and a highly pixilated image of whatever you just built appears. Not very satisfying--especially long term. Still, with music, talking, sawing, hammering, and all the rest, there is a lot for a child to do, even if it doesn't add up to a very meaningful experience. Bottom line: Smarty's Workshop looks great, and could still be fun despite some shortcomings. --David Stoesz

Take's a licking and keeps on ticking!
Smarty is great fun for both my two year old and my three year old. He is a little advanced for the two year old who doesn't count yet, but he holds up well to the abuse inflicted on him. I have never had a problem with Smarty locking up or breaking. I am amazed at all the things Smarty does for such a reasonable price!

                    Worth the time and money
My son is receptive delayed. So when he was playing with this more and more enabling him to take and follow directions, I was thrilled! He feels so proud when he finishes a project. And he loves being able to "build" things on his own.

It's a very positive toy, also, because it tells the person operating it "bravo done" and "very good."

The only durability problem I see is that he figured out early on how to remove the pencil from the hard hat when it's part of the function of the toy.

                    Always Breaking
I usually like v-tech toys although I had two Smarty's and I was not buying a third. I had to keep taking the batteries out to reset it, it was not worth the agravation. I was very dissapointed.

                    Playnest and Gym
                    Made by Galt America Inc
                    Age Group: 3 months - 1 years
                      Amazon base price: $69.99
They call it "a multisensory play environment and activity gym"; you may just think of it as a good way to get a rug-rat off the rug. The base of the play nest is an inflatable vinyl ring (39 inches external diameter) encased in a fabric cover that's festooned with animal scenes and a variety of textures, and flaps; four fabric-covered gym bars connect to the ring and meet at a point over your baby's head. You can attach various included soft toys (a sun that plays "You Are My Sunshine," a mirrored star) with links to the bars. For the youngest infant, this is a cozy place to watch the world; slightly older tots will enjoy the sense of security and a bit of assistance with sit-up play. Toddlers may give the play nest a second life by seeing whether they can throw the toys or themselves into it. --Richard Farr

                      Great Infant product
I purchased this product after I read an article in BABY MAGAZINE, that rated this Playnest& Gym top prize out of all the gyms they tested (12 ) The gym kept the babies attention for over 50 mins.. Upon reading this article my Wife and I purchased the Galt Playnest & Gym - and we have never looked back...this is a great baby product and I would recommend this gym for all new born babies. Other products sold on this site from Galt our also very good....

Great toy - buy it if you can get it!
I spent a long time looking around all the toy shops and online to see what there was for little babies. My son, Toby, at 4 months, did not like just lying on his back and watching things hanging above. The beauty of this toy is that you can safely put your baby in a semi-reclining position and not need to worry that he will fall out. He loved it from the moment he was put in it. All those bright colours and textures and noises facinated and excited him. He loved the upright position and soon he managed to sit up all by himself.

He is now 8 months old and we have removed the baby gym part. He lies happily in his ring reading his books - almost like grownups lounging in the sun on holiday. Or hangs over the side trying to catch his other toys which he had thrown out.

Your baby will love it - as have all the other reviewers. Great toy.

                      Hang in there
I bought this for my son about 3 months ago when he was about 4 months. I was looking for an activity gym that he could sit up in because he wasen't to keen on just laying down. I read all of the reviews and decided this was perfect. When we first received the product I too was a little shocked at the difference from online viewing to in person and was a little disappointed at the amount of money I had spent on it. When I put him in it, I think he might have been scared at the hanging toys or something but he didn't like it at all. I unclipped the toys and he liked to play with them. I recently tried to put him in it again at about 6 months, when he started to sit up more sturdy, without the toy bars. He loves it and will sit in it for a couple of hours, however if he falls over or gets to the laying position again he will fuss until I put him sitting again. It took time but I never regretted paying for this toy and would buy it again given the need!
