It may be ok for older children
This toy might be alright for older children, but it definately can be difficult for the younger child. To rev the car in order for it to continue through the entire track you need to do it slowly, which my child has no patience for. Then, when you get it going, it can be very difficult to place it on the track so it is aimed correctly and stays on. Its diffucult for an adult, nevermind a young child. i would say it is definately for children over 7, which my child is not. the manufactorers say 4 and up .... that is wrong. my child gets very frusterated with the toy and it is sitting in his room unused.... a waste of money on my part. The track also doesnt stay together very well, and the sky line bridge part gets messed up very easily and it becomes not aligned and then it doesnt work, so i have to check it each time we try to play with it to make sure it is in the right position.

    Lots of fun
My son loves his "rev-ups rev-ups" as he calls them. He's almost three and plays with this all the time. We bought him the other playsets to go with it and a few more cars too. The only draw back we have is the tracks fall apart easily and for a three year old he can't fix them himself, so we were constantly repairing the tracks. We finally just used a little hot glue to secure them a little better and now he's good to go.

    Keeps Him Occupied
My little boy is 4 and he absolutely loves this Rev Ups track. He has tons of toys and cars and tracks and this is the only one he plays with for any length of time. The little magnetic cars are ingenious and will travel up or down any metal surface (like the refrigerator). The only drawback is that the box shows about 10 different cars available but I have not been able to find them. The track comes with one and my husband found one at [...] but when I went to find another they were unavailable.
But no matter, my little boy has loads of fun with the 2 he has and I am sure yours would too.

    Blue's Clues: Blue's Alphabet Book

Blue's Alphabet Book is an early childhood game all the way, teaching small--and we stress small--children how to recognize their ABCs and spell basic words. It's done by way of six very simple games that shouldn't put too much strain on little brains.

Most of the games stress simple recognition of letters, such as a xylophone game, where the computer plays a sequence of lettered keys, which kids must duplicate. There's also a leaf game, where a basket is marked with a letter, which kids must use to catch a leaf with that same letter on it. Other games teach a bit more, such as a soup game that helps kids to spell small words, and a memory game that has them trying to remember which bubbles contain which letters.

Blue's Alphabet Book contains some fun music and a small amount of voice acting, but the youngest children will need a parent to help them name the letters and sound out the words they spell. In other words, little ones should be able to play this title alone, but will absorb more with the help of an older onlooker. --Robb Guido

      Pros:

      • Colorful graphics
      • Games will help kids come to recognize their ABCs
      Cons:
      • Few voice samples

      Great learning tool
I bought a gameboy before my daughter turned 2 hoping to keep her busy on a long plane ride. She enjoyed just pushing the buttons at that point and it kept her entertained for short periods of time. Now she is almost 2 1/2 and has mastered each and every Blues Clues Game and begs to play it every night before bedtime. It teaches the alphabet, motor skills, and memory. She can remember "hidden" letters better than my husband and I! She is very proud that she knows how to play the games, and loves to teach us adults how to play!

      Excellent game for preschoolers!
In preparation for an overseas flight, I bought a Game Boy and three games for my 4 1/2 year old (with the intent of sharing with the 2 1/2 year old). Compared to the other games, the Blue Clues game had a number of excellent games, that TRULY involved pre-reading learning skills, and the graphics were colorful and engaging.

My 4 1/2 year old quickly understood the activities and stayed glued to the game, well, for the duration of the trip! (It was just what we needed). The 2 1/2 year old couldn't understand the "rules" but he was happy (for 15 minutes at a time) to just push buttons and watch Steve and his pals.

To the game's authors: Bravo!!! Job well done!!!

A terrific introduction to Gameboy for younger kids
I purchased this game for my son (age 4.5) for Christmas and am very pleased with it. I had been hesitant about introducing him to the Gameboy at this age, particularly since the games I have seen rely so heavily on violence or "levels" the player must reach to go on in the game. Blue's Clues is an exception. My son has no problem navigating the screens and I appreciate that the games start at a beginning level and only increase in difficulty as my son is successful with them. The games are too simple for my 7 year old but a great introduction for the younger set. (I agree with another reviewer that the sound is not terrific--it has a "buzzy quality"--but my son plays the game in the car with the sound off and still enjoys it.)

        Not-quite-fabulous
I've loved Barbies since they first came out, and I still believe dolls are to be PLAYED with, which is why I don't completely love this doll. She has awful hair, and what would it have cost them to throw a few snaps or some velcro on the back of her dress?

On the other hand, the dress IS gorgeous, and the shoes are fabulous. And I love her grave and dignified expression.

        Very Beautiful,Historical....
...And cheap! And I don't mean $$$ cheap. Unlike the other 'European' looking Dolls of the World that I own, this one is a little chinsy and it gets messed up. For example, the plastic rod in the bodice kept popping out and I didnt touch it, her hair uncurled and her hem between the blue and the goldish petticoat unraveled. I was suprised that all happened and I had to purchase a new one because my others D.O.T.W arent like that. But it is really pretty and fun to play with!!

Princess of the Danish Court Barbie---- What a find!
She reminds me of Cinderella from the Disney movie! This doll is very, VERY pretty, which is why she remains in her box on my display shelf. She comes at a good price, compared to other Barbie Collectibles which can go up to $300. The back of the box includes a history of Denmark, as well as a little story about this fairy-tale-like doll. Little kids can also enjoy Princess of Denmark (she's a Barbie, after all!).

          Its Ok.
It is a flash figure. Until DC Comics and Mattel decide to do something along the lines of DC Legends, similar to Toy Biz' Marvel Legends, we have to be thankful for ANYTHING that comes out.

Unfortunately, however, there is no detail to this line of figures. The bright side is, they do resemble the animated series, in that it is as 2 dimensional, as a drawing.

Nevertheless, since there seems to be a lack of variety in the DC world for reasonablly priced superhero figures, some accolades and applause is deservant for Mattel. We can only hope they drastically improve on the design quality; and, thank them for not gouging us on this line. A much better value than the 4 inch versions.

          Where's Green Lantern?
I think these large Justice League figures are great. I personally am not disappointed in the lack of articulation (joints where the figure's limbs can move), since I'm getting these for my very young son, and he doesn't care. Besides, these figures are done in the highly simplified "cartoon" style, which to me indicates that they'd naturally be less intricate mechanically. My GRIPE is that many of these toys are not shipped in equal quantities, so there are fewer of one than the others. I've seen tons of Batman figures, but not one Green Lantern, for instance. Many of these scarcer figures are horded by collectors/dealers, leaving people like me who actually want to buy them for their children with an incomplete set. It's sad this is the way the toy business works at times. STILL, these are great toys--very iconic, very well designed.

          Great for collectors
If you can't afford the $... maquette, this is great substitute.
I say it's great for collectors becoz there are few points of articulation so it looks more like a statue than a toy.

Only cons is that the botton half of flash is a slightly different red than from the top. This is no noticeable from a distance though.

Diva Starz We Know What's Stylin' : Nikki

Style her long color-streaked hair, mix and match her clothes, pass secret messages in her shoes, and listen to her talk! Diva Starz Nikki is programmed with four phrases (all about her, of course) and comes fashionably equipped with a pair of glitter jeans, a corduroy skirt and top, and a funky print blouse. But girls know shoes make or break the outfit, and Nikki is prepared for all seasons with bright orange-and-pink low tops as well as a pair of lavender knee-high boots. Extra platform soles are included to give Nikki more height, depending on the occasion or her date, and the set of clear red plastic soles can house secret messages Nikki wants to share with other Diva Starz. Diva Starz
I like the Diva Starz and I have all of them except two of the Glitter to Glam dolls, but they aren't like real people at all! They're like Barbie: the one with the blond hair is girly and wears pink all the time. The brown haired one likes sports and always wears purple and orange. The red haired one likes animals and plants and wears green and yellow. And the one with brown skin likes music and wears blue and purple. Miranda is more normal. And how did Nikki's eyes change from purple to green?! I have all four in the first set of Fashion Diva Starz but I think the only one here is Nikki so I'll tell you about all four here:
Alexa has blond hair and blue eyes. She comes wearing a pink shirt with a heart on it, glittery pants and pink shoes. Her other outfit is a denim jacket, pink skirt and blue boots.
Nikki, the one shown here, has brown hair and green eyes. She comes wearing a pink and green shirt, a red skirt and purple boots. Her other outfit is a red vest and denim sparkly pants with purple and orange shoes.
Miranda has white hair with pink streaks and green eyes. She's my favorite. She comes wearing a pink shirt, red jacket, red pants and red shoes. (But they're the same ones you get with her fashion pack.) Her other outfit is a pink dress and white boots.
Tia has brown skin, black hair, and brown eyes. She comes wearing a blue shirt and dark blue skirt with purple boots. Her other outfit is a pink shirt and white and green pants with blue and purple shoes.
There is no Summer in this set. They replaced her with Miranda. But Miranda's better. She's like a real girl. She has blond hair but she isn't girly.
If I could I would give these zero stars for educational. They aren't realistic at all.
They make fashion packs for these dolls.
Alexa's is a pink dress, pink shirt, pink boots and pink necklace. Nikki's is a green shirt and white pants with green boots. Miranda's is a pink and white tie dye shirt, denim pants, red necklace and red shoes. Tia's is a purple shirt, blue skirt and blue shoes. They each have a matching purse.

Fashion Diva Starz Nikki Series 1
Nikki has long brown hair with red streaks. Her eyes are green, but they are supposed to be purple! All the Diva Starz except the Fashion Diva Starz Nikkis all have purple eyes! I have all the Diva Starz, except Glitter to Glam Alexa and Tia. Nikki comes wearing a pink/green shirt, a red skirt, and purple boots. Her other outfit is a red vest, denim pants, and purple/orange shoes. Her other accessories are: a purple purse, a phone, red clear shoe stackers, purple shoe stackers, secret messages, a keychain, a magazine, 2 bottles of nailpolish, perfume, and hairclips. At first, when they started making Fashion Diva Starz, I thought they were ugly, but now I'm used to them.

Commercialisation of this doll is disturbing
The commercials for this doll show dolls going to clubs, the things these dolls are made to say is inappropriate for our age group. One quote from this doll on the official website is "Time to flirt in my glowing skirt!" what kind of message is the toy company trying to send us? What Kind of Toy store endorses these kinds of toys that give us the message that we should go to clubs and try to pick up boys we're suppose to be ding these kind of things? Then theirs also the issue of what is solicitored in clubs drugs, alcohol. I think that the commercialisation of what women are suppose to be like is influenicing what kinds of toys companies make and what kind of messages they give us!!!

            Big Disappointment; Difficult to Play
Initially my son and I had a difficult time even moving the machines. But he mastered it, and really loves playing alone.

It keeps his interest fairly well, but I think some other comparable games are better!

            My Pre-K Loves It
First off, let me just mention that this game was designed with very young children in mind, so I'd say that anyone over the age of maybe around 7 will find the game insanely easy. Basically the game revolves around top-view control of several different Catepillar trucks & tractors, which you control to complete a task to beat the level. As an example, in one that I recently played with my 4-year-old, we had to use a tractor to pick up logs, drive them over to a location where a bridge is being built, and press a button to drop the logs in place, thus making part of the bridge. Repeat three more times, picking up logs in different locations that little contruction guys point out. Basically, he seems to think it's really cool to control all the different styles of equipment, and the variety of settings helps to keep things somewhat interesting (in one phase you are building bridges, on another you are working on a farm, etc). Even though he really likes the game, I had to take away a star due to the repetitiveness of the game - most levels consist basically of "Drive here, press button. Drive there. Press button. Repeat." Even though the equipment and settings change, interest is lost after a while because there's little variety in gameplay. He keeps going back to it though, so it can't be that bad :)

            Exciting and Entertaining
I bought this game for my son for Christmas-along with his first video game (Gameboy Color)not really knowing how he was going to get along with it. Well, much to our suprise, he loves this game! His daddy and I have to "make" him put it down. It's a "nobody looses" type of game. For a child only being 4yrs. old, this was the perfect choice. It has even got self explanitory info. in it that helps the kids follow directions from "George the Foreman". He tells you what to do and where to drive to. Very nice game- hope the next choice we make is as good as this one was. Very highly recommend this.

FUN TOY THAT MY 4 YEAR OLD LOVES
I know that it's not meant for 4 year olds, but his grandparents picked it up. He really loves playing with it (especially outside since it wrecked our lower moldings) but we do have to charge it alot (which takes about 4 hours after the inital charging). It's worth getting just be prepared to charge it on a regular basis.

Nice RC for my 6 Year old (and me!)!!!
We got this RC after doing a lot of review reading and researching many other RC's. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well the Spider-man car worked after charging the battery pack and giving it a go. (you do have to purchase the battery pack separately).

My 6 year old had no problems using the remote control unit and the car worked flawlessly! We even were surprised at how well it kept going on our grass and much areas, through small ground craters and up and down slopes!

I am very happy that we went with this car and really have no regrets. The only thing that is disappointing is that the battery compartment doesn't have a cover...the battery slides into guides and surprisingly stays in place quite nicely! The other surpise was that the battery charge did last for about 45 minutes!

Get this RC car and you will have fun!!!

Okay, its been a week since I've written the above review and I have to say that our fun with this car has not diminished at all! Its still going strong and the battery's charge life is surprising me! Get this car for your kids and you won't regret it!!!!!!!

No fun if it won't run
My son received the SpiderMan monster car as a Xmas from his uncle. It is now almost St. Patrick's Day and I have just now found the 6V battery pack and charger required to operate this RC toy. How STUPID is that? I have no problem dropping a couple of bucks on batteries if they don't come with a toy. -- and 2 months trying to figure how what the heck a 6V was and where to get one is RIDICULOUS!!!! All that for a toy that costs $.. WITHOUT BATTERIES.

Having apparently shunned more glamorous former careers (ballerina, movie star), Barbie is ready to settle in to practice as a pediatrician in this charming play set. Doctor Barbie wears a pink smock done up in a very cute stork pattern, along with matching pink pants and the obligatory white shoes. Her office is nicely outfitted. It includes an exam table with two cradles, bottles, tiny baby toys, medical charts, baby announcements, birth certificates, a stethoscope, and a tongue depressor. Two tiny babies, all wrapped up warm and toasty, are also included. We liked how thoroughly stocked Barbie's office was, making this set not just fun and comprehensive, but also educational. --John Moe

Barbie Happy Family Baby Doctor By Mattel in
This is one of the few Barbie lines left that involves wholesome family values. This doll has pretty black hair styled with a headband, a good thing for show, but not for repeated styling. She has jointed arms with a hole in one finger, used for tiny accessories such as a pencil. This hole is very helpful because it holds the accessories in place for an easier playtime. Her uniform, while not reflecting that of a real doctor's, is cute and colorful. While a milk white uniform might bore a child, colors will keep your kid more entertained. Her stethescope is removable, and she comes with a pair of stylish white sneakers with heels (her feet must ache by the end of the day). She comes with various documents, baby bottles, baby pouder, medicines, etc. A dresser with clear rockable cradles on top holds two adorable babies, delicately wrapped in pink and blue blankets and intricately painted with the most adorable faces. The dresser has a shelf where Barbie's tools can be stored. All in all, this is a toy any little girl, or even a boy, could enjoy. It not only gives your children a lesson in child care, but also shows them love can be found in the smallest places, rather it would be in the world of Barbie, or in the hearts of 2 beautiful little babies.

                Perfect for the Happy Family
The durability of this toy is low, because like most barbie products the tiny peices will get lost in a week under adverage play. Of course, you have to allow for the fact the stuff has to look like Barbie can use it, so for as long as it last as a whole - it's a good set. I knew Barbie had to include herself in this set somehow and it's cute they put her on the back burner as a Doctor. And she comes with two extra babies if you want to add some other families with random dolls to hang out with Midge and Alan's kids. You can also bring Midge and Alan's baby for a check up. It's really a fun addition if you have the rest of the Happy Family and even if you don't you could have 'other Barbie' bring Krissy in for a checkup. I think it's cute they gave her the floral smock some kid doctors have instead of the standard white.

So with the Happy Family it promotes the education value of taking care of yourself while your preganant and takening care of baby. And without the Happy Family, with Families of your own invention, it can do the same. And if you don't think pregnant Midge is a good example, I'm sure a career Barbie is.

For the African-American version in particular, I'm glad you've embraced our different complextions. Barbie and babies all have beuatiful, unique skin tones. I remember when all Black dolls were the same chocolate color and all looked a like. Thank you for finally embracing our diversity.

She's a doctor but why does she look like a nurse?
I love the idea of this product but I don't understand why she is wearing a floral coat. This is something that you normally see on medical personnel other than a doctor! All of the doctors that I've seen wear a white doctor's coat or everyday clothing with their stethoscope.

                  Should be a display toy
My 4 year old loves action figures. He plays rough, and he uses his toy a lot. This action figure should have been sturdy and durable, considering its size. It broke in half within a month. He didn't drop it. It broke by use. The toy could move at the waist, side to side. Then one day it snapped in half at the waist. I would not recommend this for young children that could hurt themselves with it.

The Justice League lives at our house!
My son received this and several of the other Justice League members for his fourth birthday. He was ecstatic and let out a squeal of delight as he opened each one! He has put them in a "special place" in his room and gets them down each morning. As a mother, I think they are a lot of fun for a child. The more I get to know about these action figures, the more I realize how many adults collect them. I can understand how some opinions may be more critical than others(and much more educated than others). As a mom of a happy little boy, I give them 5 stars! My son's eyes were sure shining as he unveiled each of his Justice League buddies!

                  It's Ok.
The good thing about this figure is, it is a new Batman, sort of. The bad is, we've seen this before. Basically, it's the smaller JL Batman on some serious steroids.

It lacks detail, articulation, and creativity. It looks more 2 dimensional than the cartoon itself! The paint job is horrific on many of the figures. This is definately a series you will want to hand pick yourself, so you don't get stuck with figures with a bad paint job.
