Uses everyday products you can use instead of buying this
I purchased this gift for Christmas for my 9 year old. He ripped open the package so he can make "gummi" candies. Little did we know that the "gummi" candy was tangerine jello. We added the "petrified potion mix" (the crunchy coating) That we Found out was white chocolate. The sour apple "venom" tasted like expired limes. The result tasted horrible. Go over a friends house and if they have this toy, try it before you buy it.

      Fun Race Track!
This was a good toy for the price. My 5 year old daughter had a blast with it and laughed hysterically when her car raced pass mine. I'd say with proper assembly, this toy should work fine and provide lots of fun and laughter!

      Rickety Raceway
Thought this would be a great toy for a four year old boy. He loved the cars and wanted to race them on the track, but we had a hard time getting them to run consistantly. Even the adults could not get them to run. It was hard to put together and stay assembled. After one afternoon of trying to get the cars to run properly, we were ready to give up on the whole thing.

      Matchbox Magna Wheels Rescue: EMT
      Made by Mattel
      Age Group: 36 months - 7 years
        Amazon base price: $5.29
The idea of causing mayhem has a long tradition in toys. From Smash-Up Derby to Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots to the latest WWE action figures, there's never been a shortage of people getting hurt. Fortunately, Matchbox offers up a positive alternative with this EMT set. A small driver unit can be attached to a large rolling base. Press a button on the unit to make sirens blare and hear a loud voice ordering "Emergency! 911! Get Help!" While such urgent commands should, in real life, be heard clearly, we found the volume a bit much for a toy. A mobile aid unit can also attach to the base and receive a removable patient on a stretcher from a little green ambulance. --Charlie Williams

This toy has become a favorite of my nephew!
My nephew, Max, is an active toddler that I am able to enjoy spending at least two days out of each week with, while his parents are at work.
This toy was given to Max by a family friend, who has two children of her own, and I am guessing has a pretty good idea of what kids will enjoy! It was a Christmas gift, and sat under our tree for a long time before he had a chance to open it.
While we have not had any "problems" with the siren going off on its own, the siren is somewhat loud, and personally, I do not find it unpleasant, but then, I haven't had a headache! His dad heard the siren, and laughed at "how cool" it was. I will add that the siren has not been activated very often during play, even though Max does know it can be.
We have tried to provide Max with a variety of play things to encourage his imagination and creativity. He spends a lot of time playing with his trucks and cars, and this toy allows him to rearrange the pieces and create different looking vehicles, and to have a new place to put the "patient who is getting the help he needs". This set has become a favorite toy of my nephew, and it is wonderful to see his joy as he plays!

Not good for under the Christmas Tree!
This toy was wonderful when I got it and wrapped it for christmas, however I don't know if it was damaged in transit or what but it has a habit of letting off the siren and fun noises while it is wrapped.Once we narrowed down which package was making the noise I moved it in case something was pressing on the button. It kept making noises and I eventually unwrapped it only to find the press button is in a place that nothing was even touching it. I have determined the toy either has a short in it or it is possessed. My recommendation is to only buy this toy if you plan on waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of "Emergency, Emergency... call for help" preceeded by sirens.

          The Club
I bought this set a while ago and I'm still playing with it. It's so fun! I just love the headsets and the records. It might not play any music but this way you can play your own music. It's great for your imagination! The only downside to it is that the velvet ropes are plastic so when you move them they might come off. Good thing you can put them back together!

          A strange little club
When I first saw the photos of the My Scene Club, I was excited. But in comparison to the Boutique and the Cafe, this one is nothing to be excited about. The concept of the love seat is cute, but the piece is so bulky that it doesn't fit easily into a typical home display. The pole with the two flat screens is a cute idea, but once assembled, it is somewhat flimsy. It is also too tall for the shelf I wanted to display the set on. The best thing about this set is the "velvet" ropes (actually plastic). It's cute, but wouldn't such a thing go on the "outside" of a real club, not the inside? I don't know...but I'll be glad with the My Scene Lounge is released. That item seems more like a real club than this item does.

Skipper as Velma from Scooby Doo
            Made by Mattel
            Age Group: 5 - 12 years
              Amazon base price: $9.97
              List price: $17.99 (that's 45% off!)
Skipper, Barbie’s kid sister, just barely passes as "Velma," the dowdy egghead from hit 70s cartoon "Scooby Doo." She’s a bit taller and thinner than the "real" Velma, but who else would try this? Barbie herself wouldn’t take the assignment, after she got one look at that orange-and-red monstrosity of an outfit. If the scruffy turtleneck or rolled knee socks didn’t make Babs say "ruh-roh!" the pleated mini-skirt sans undies would. So brave little Skipper is left to the task of wearing the stuff, holding up her mushroom hairdo in pride (or is she just trying to keep her over-sized spectacles from falling off?). She does, however, verify her identity as Velma by bringing along a velveteen version of Scooby-Doo (complete with Scooby snacks), and her trusty reporter’s notepad. --Diane Beall

              A gem in the rough
This doll was made to appeal to Scooby-Doo fans who also like Barbies, period. Nothing wrong with that--Mattel has licensing down to a science. Those who even bother to comment about the doll being too skinny are clearly not in tune with Barbie World--all Barbies are too skinny, but that is just something we accept or are forever doomed to whine about. Doen't matter if the doll is meant to be Velma or Vivian Leigh--Mattel makes 'em the way they want. The only exception I can think of in the recent past was the unique chubby body Mattel gave their Rosie O'Donnell doll. But of course who would have believed a skinny Rosie O'Donnell?

Where Velma shines however, is as a "makeover" doll. Shampoo out the hair spray, paint the pink lips some other color more mature, give her a nice outfit, lose the glasses...and voila', the Barbie fan has something fairly unique and different.

Velma will appeal to kids who like Scooby-Doo, but adult Barbie collectors and customizers shouldn't pass her by without looking at least twice.

Taking 'Helmet Hair' To a WHOLE New Level...
The 'Skipper as Velma' doll really isn't what I expeced, but really I should've known better... This toy takes Velma's helmet hair to a WHOLE new level, seeing as the hair itself could be used as a helmet. Someone at the factory must've hairsprayed the ... out of this thing, and then probably dipped it in a coat of Elmer's glue for good measure.

Also, Skipper herself wouldn't make a very good Velma. Way too skinny. I dunno about you, but in my opinion, the cartoon Velma was NO Barbie. Also, the nice, knee-length skirt of cartoon fame has been turned into a pleated miniskirt attached to the shirt so it really is a dress. But, as this IS a Barbie doll, That can be expected.

Actually, I find this toy pretty fun (not to mention funny). It is kind of cool, and I would buy another of the 'Scooby-Doo!' series Barbie dolls.

                Ok for younger kids
I bought this game for my 5 year old as a Christmas present. By New Years, he had it completed. It's a little on the easy side. Now he doesn't play it very much because he has already figured it out. There are some games which took him months to even get through them half way (like Rugrats or Toy Story 2). The only exiting level is where you have to photograph the animals then find the "passageway" to the top of the mountain where the "Yeti" appears. That's the only one he had a little trouble on.

                Greatest Game For GameBoy Color.
I got this game for Christmas and I love it. It has Six different games each with a different charater. THe whole idea is to help the thornberry's win is awards and you have to help them by beating all six games. ANd if they dont win you can do it the next year, which is just a different skill level. You acn save your game if you dont have time to finish it. Buy this game it is the best!!

                  BEHOLD THE FORBIDDEN ONE!
I just happen to be a pretty big Yu-Gi-Oh fan. As a fan I can tell you one of the most popular monsters, and not to mention every duelists worst nightmare, is Exodia the Forbidden One. Any Yugi fan will recognize this unbeatable monster. This model is awesome! Its so incredibly detailed not to mention HUGE! Its just so lifelike almost an exact replica of the cartoon! I assure you any Yu-Gi-Oh fanatic will love this. And as an added Bonus buy Slifer the Sky Dragon. That thing is Unbearably cool looking. And bigger than Exodia believe it or not! Both of these Models arent meant to be played with though. They fall apart if played with roughly, but make great displays to make anyones room into a Yugi fanatics room. Well hope that helps!

                  Its a model
This is a very detailed and through MODEL KIT! Notice that this is a model kit ad not a toy, I'd recommend it for a cllector of some sort. Also, be careful, some peices are more fragil than others.

                    Although my daughter loves it...
This is the new carriage and the only thing my daughter really wanted for her 4th birthday. Of course we bought it for her. Unfortunately, it has not been my favorite toy because every time she plays with it the horses come apart from the carriage. Which means it has to be put together again. It is all plastic, but seems to be strong for now. She does play with it alot and it does spark her princess imagination.
