My daughter got this for her birthday (in the caucasian version) and I kept it because she has been really into doing her dolls' hair lately. She just turned 4 years old. I loved the way she was able to put the barrettes on herself and brush the dolls hair. Also, they have stickers that peel and they can be put on your daughter or on Barbie-it's actually really cool, a lot of fun, and kept her busy for a while. The mess was really controlled because the glitter does not come out easily, which is a GOOD thing! I would say that the one MAJOR drawback to the Barbie Shimmer N Glitz is that Barbie seems to have a slight vitamin deficiency or something because all of her hair FALLS OUT!! Every time you brush Barbie's hair, there are chunks of hair that come out. That is not normal!!! For now, it is fine because Barbie has lots of hair, but eventually she will look like she's on chemo or something. So, overall, it's a fun toy for your princess, but beware of the hair coming out all over the place.

Well I bought this for my daughter and what do you know like almost all the other reviews about the Barbie fashions...the clothing I got was not like the picture that is advertisting it! The clothing is cute though but if they are selling something, they should have the correct picture potraying the item that is for sale. Other than that it is a lot of cute Barbie clothing for a fairly good price. Now if only they sold Skipper and Ken clothing on Amazon.com. :)

The figurines look OK. Even the strangely-colored Batman seems so work. I do hate the absence of the stand, however. The toys would not stand on their own, and, because of the way the joints are made, they cannot be sat down either.

This figure is really nice for any Batman fan or collector. His main feature is his relatively long and flexible tail. It is a bendy type tail that can be bent in various poses and is pretty durable. He comes with a piece of a broken pipe for swinging at his enemies and a ripped, plastic shirt. The shirt will stay on very well unless you really want it off. Then, you'll have to cut it off. When you move his left arm up and down, his jaw moves up and down. Neat effect. His head moves from side to side, but not up and down--which would have been real nice. He would have received 5 stars if he had a little more articulation in the elbows, knees, hips, and the aforementioned head. However, for the price, you really can't go wrong buying this figure. He plays or displays very nicely. One thing my children have done is to use him as the Lizard when they play with their Spiderman figures. So, he can serve as two, different characters and you still don't have to pay the price of two. Well worth the money.

This hard to find Mr. Freeze figure is beautifully done. A lot of nice detailing on the figure and a sinister look of determination on his face. He has a water-squirting gun accessory that he carries on his back or it can be removed easily when not in use. There are 2 black hoses that you can hook up from the accessory to Mr. Freeze's wrists--a nice effect. The most important feature on this figure--in my mind--is the fact that when you twist him back and forth at his waist, his head moves correspondingly with the motion. VERY COOL!! First of all, I hate it when toy manufacturers make the figure's waist turn all the way around 360 degrees. NO ONE CAN DO THAT! Also when you throw a punch, your head and face don't move with the motion of your hand, but stay locked on the target. This figure can do that. Very realistic. The figure would have received 5 stars if it had a little more articulation at the elbows, shoulders, hips, and ankles. A very good buy and well worth the money you will pay for it. Every Batman fan needs this figure.

This is another one of mattel's repaints and hence Batman variations. But unlike several of the other figures, this one actually works for me. It shows Batman as a futuristic knight with a bunch of techno accessories. The color scheme also works great. One downside about the accessories, as with all mattel figures ther doesn't seem to be any instructions on how to place them on the figure save for the picture on the back of the box. And since, this one has by far the most accessories it gets a little confusing for kids (some adults also). All in all, the good outweighs the confusing therefore it's a good buy.

My son got this for his 4th birthday last week and loved it, even though it didn't glow in the dark as he thought the package art implied. However, it would no longer move forward (it has a "push and go" mechanism) after 4 days, and the back wheel would practically not move at all after 5 days. My son has not been rough with it - he's just been pushing it along the floor. The missile launcher on the back of the batcycle comes as a separate piece that snaps on, but will not stay on (not that I mind, but some of the kids might). He still likes the way it looks, but it's rather frustrating now that it doesn't move. The description does not mention it, but the batman figure does not come off the batcycle.

I HAVE HEARD MANY CRITICAL COMMENTS ABOUT THIS DOLL....MOST OBVIOUSLY, HER PREGNANCY. I HAVE SEEN THIS DOLL PULLED FROM SHELVES, AND SOLD WITH A BIG BELLY, AND WITH A FLAT BELLY. I CONSIDERED IT LAST CHRISTMAS, BUT THIS YEAR I DECIDED TO PURCHASE HER, BECAUSE PREGNANCY IS A BEAUTIFUL THING. I DO NOT FEEL THAT IT IS A BAD INFLUENCE ON YOUNG MINDS, BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS SEEN SOMEONE PREGNANT BEFORE.
I HAVE ALSO INVESTED IN THIS ENTIRE SERIES, AND LOOK FORWARD TO PRESENTING IT TO MY 6 YR. OLD.

As a kid growing up, I couldn't wait to get more of the orange plastic track so my brother and I could make yet another spectacular, unique Hot Wheels race track together. The loop-the-loops, the high banks, the jumps over the lakes (mud puddles)with our awesome racing machines were so much fun, we thought we were right in the cars speeding along at 200 mph. Do you remember that? Do you remember your favorite Hot Wheels car/racecar/truck/roadster? Well it's all in this game. The awesome tracks, the spectacular jumps, side by side racing, right down to the painted flames on the sides of the cars. Great fun for kids and adults who remember being kids.

My husband received this item as a Christmas gift. If you don't appreciate potty-related humor, this might not be a toy for you. Otherwise, it's great for laughs. Would make a fun party gift.
