Along the way you'll find several more items that will help you progress through the game's devious puzzles. Fortunately, items can be combined to create complex objects that can be used in solving these challenges. In addition to the puzzles, your character must also keep a healthy supply of food and fresh water. You'll also want to stay rested if you aim to survive. Since this title plays on the Game Boy Color, it is no surprise that the graphics are adequate without being too fancy. The sound effects are also decent, but not overwhelmingly impressive. --T. Byrl Baker
Pros:
- Unique puzzles
- Decent graphics
- May be too easy for the true puzzle fanatic, but it's still a lot of fun

Nearly all of the Pandora's Box conundrums resemble the traditional jigsaw puzzle, though you'll find plenty of visual twists, such as sliding pieces on a circular plane or having to solve a puzzle built on a complex 3-D object. Some deviate from this formula, but the most addictive puzzles follow this model, and those provide the most extended--and replayable--diversions.
For those overwhelmed by complex computer games, Pandora's Box: Puzzle Game of the Year Edition offers a simplistic interface and basic rules, easing computer novices into the puzzle environment. This edition features 40 new puzzle games, as well as the original 350 puzzles from the original Pandora's Box. There are five difficulty levels, plus various hints and wildcards that remove the frustration factor when you're unable to complete a particular puzzle. Can't StopYou don't have to compete worldwide as you do with Rubik's but more with yourself. I love puzzles and I never expected this much of a challenge when I purchased this game. Once you start you just can't seem to stop. You want to go on and on and on until you put everything that has escaped from Pandora's box back in. Then a few months later I started over, and was shocked to find I was not doing the same puzzles over again. Some of them were the same, but not all. It all depends on what you pick to solve. I love this game, and it sure takes your mind off of anything else that is bothering you. You get completely lost in it's solving. You can time yourself if you want, but you don't have to. Well worth purchasing. Does anyone know any more like this?
Very addictive!
A Puzzling Experience.

A cross between Tetris and traditional fighting games, Puzzle Fighter is simple to learn. You can easily play without having to memorize a gazillion special moves and secret codes. In one one-minute lesson from someone sitting on the floor in front of the television you can learn enough about the game to challenge an expert, and perhaps win!
But wait! Expert gamers shouldn't shy away from this one -- set yourself to a higher level and you'll even find that even grandma can be a challenging opponent. The fast pace will keep you hopping and your palms sweating.
Puzzle Fighter is a great game to play alone or with a house full of guests -- someone always want's to challenge the winner! Watch out though, Puzzle Fighter can be addicting!

Pokémon characters abound; your young cousin or little sister should be able to rattle off many of their names effortlessly. The game is designed for young gamers, and encourages problem solving--something that all parents should want their children to learn while playing a game. Thankfully, the game controls are easy to pick up, and the tasks are easy to execute.
For a puzzle game, this one has a good number of gameplay options and modes. Puzzle University looks simple, at first, but it proves to be a real brainteaser. In this mode, you must clear the entire screen in a limited number of moves--a twist that makes the game surprisingly addictive. It's good to see that Pokémon Puzzle Challenge has made some minor improvements on the now-classic game of Tetris.
Naturally, the graphics are better on the Nintendo 64 version; but, if you've got a long ride planned, or that plane's been delayed, this game will turn hours into minutes. If you're looking for a family-friendly title for all of the Game Boy Color users in your family, look no further than Pokémon Puzzle Challenge. --Todd Mowatt
Pros:
- Challenging and extremely addictive Tetris variant
- Fun for just about anyone
- Repetitive voice samples quickly become annoying

Fun Game
Fun, fun, fun!

Great Game, Great Fun!

Great Puzzle for My 2 Year OldLike all puzzles, once children have mastered them, they're ready to move to other toys. However, I recommend this for 2 year olds. The parent can play along and use it to build vocabulary (where is the dog? what sound does the dog make? let's put the dog puzzle piece in . . .).
Puzzles are wonderfulPersonally, I look for toys that are fairly quiet, easy and fun. If they are educational that is good too. I prefer toys that will grow with a child, foster independence and creativity. Puzzles are great!
These puzzles with knobs are excellent for clumsy little fingers to play with. The little knobs make it easier for the child to get the pieces in the spot.
I particularly like the bright pictures with the matching picture in the hole. After the child outgrows these, you can buy the puzzles that are not individual pictures (but rather each piece is part of a whole!) You can graduate to more pieces in a puzzle and few visual clues. So, this puzzle is a great introduction to other puzzles as well.
Another way to make this more challenging is you can mix up several puzzles and let your child work on three or four at once.
Wonderful. This is one toy I'm glad we have in our house!

Gameplay in Pokémon Puzzle League is a variation on the puzzle classic Tetris: players must clear blocks off the screen by switching adjacent horizontal blocks to create horizontal and vertical lines of three or more identically colored blocks. Blocks rise in rows from the bottom of the screen, and, once they reach the top, the game is over. While it's deceptively easy at first, the steadily increasing speed of the rising blocks requires players to make combos (more than three blocks in a line) and chains (creating multiple lines simultaneously), both of which pause the rise of the blocks temporarily.
Featuring six gaming modes and puzzles in both 2-D and 3-D, Pokémon Puzzle League is best played by one player versus the computer (in the Stadium) or in two-player "versus" mode. In these modes, creating combos and chains causes "garbage" blocks to fall from the top of your opponent's screen, which results in some villainously vindictive gameplay.--Joe Hon
Pros:
- Fun and challenging Tetris-like game for all ages
- Outstanding two-player "versus" gameplay
- 2-D and 3-D puzzles, six gaming modes, and very thorough tutorials
- "Puzzle University" mode lets players create their own puzzles
- Pokémon aspect of the game is purely thematic

Pokémon's next attack! That's not necessarily a bad thing though. If you're an avid gamer, you'll have probably found out by now that PPL is based on the excellent puzzle game, Tetris Attack. For those of you who've played it, you'll have probably discovered how amazingly entertaining and addictive it is. If you've never heard of it, Tetris Attack is a wonderfully playable game that bears no more resemblance to Tetris than the name. The idea is simple: Blocks of various colours rise from the floor and it's your task to get rid of them. You continuously switch blocks around the screen to try and match three or more of the same colour at which point they disappear and the blocks above fall down. Of course, in the event that the rising blocks should reach the top of the screen, it's Game Over for you, mate!
The strategies are much, MUCH more complex than Tetris and the game is infinitely more playable. Tetris Attack is to Tetris what Chess is to Snakes and Ladders. Like Chess, it's often the player who can see the most moves in advance who wins. Unlike Chess, there's a lot of emphasis on speed too and you'll be dripping with sweat as you try to prevent the mountain of blocks from reaching the top of the screen.
Like all the great puzzle games, PPL is deceptively simple to get into, but astonishingly tough to master. Clearing four blocks at once is not all that hard to do, but pulling off multiple combos requires all the brainpower of three supercomputers. That's no easy task when you have an opponent continuously dumping blocks on your screen. The computer AI shows an astonishing level of intelligence and can execute tricks that humans can only dream of. PPL also gives us our first definitive look at Ash on a game (unlike that masked gray haired individual in Stadium) and it also features Ricky: an obscure trainer from the cartoon who befriends Ash at the championships. So at least you know you're not fighting alone against the onslaught of blocks.
In the end, you know that the pokémon license alone will sell this game by the millions. Thankfully, it's actually worth all the hype.

For those unfamiliar with the game, the object is simply to get a set number of Lemmings from point A to point B in side-scrolling fashion. Of course, many obstacles stand in the way, and because the Lemmings are not very bright, they will continue to walk in a straight line even if it means their demise. In order to guide the Lemmings to safety, you assign them specific tasks to overcome the various obstacles-make a Lemming a Basher, for example, and he will bash through walls, while a Builder can build stairs to reach higher levels. What it all comes down to is a game that is simple to play, but which has a complexity that will have puzzle fanatics glued to their screens and impatient gamers ready to toss their monitors out the window. Some of the later puzzles in particular can take hours to complete, and the trial-and-error gameplay will cause some folks to simply give up in frustration. Fortunately, the non-linear level selection allows you to go back to easier levels when the difficulty gets too high. The point-and-click interface is easy to use and a zoom function lets you get right up close to the action for precision aiming. The game can be paused at any time, which comes in handy when several dozen Lemmings are wandering around the level. The goofy music and helium voices of the Lemmings fit perfectly with the gameplay, and the Lemmings make a lovely splat when they fall to their doom. The 3D graphics, though not spectacular, are pleasing to look at and are a nice update to the classic Lemmings style. With over 100 levels, Lemmings Revolution has enough gameplay to have puzzle fans scratching their heads for hours. Anyone looking for an addictive game should give Lemmings Revolution a spin.
Excellant Puzzle game for PC!! Addiction Personified! But beware - It DOES get tough and you will do well to complete all 200 levels (yes 200!)
Reviews of this game were not to hot but this is one of the most addicitve games I've played in ages. Even my girlfriend (who is not a big games fan) is hooked and wont stop till the level is completed!!
Theres not much to this game but the levels are well designed and its great for all Lemmings fans.
The game hasn't evolved too much with 3d advances, new ideas and originlity. Many people may decide that this is just a cash in but I got mine for £19.99 so it wasn;t at full price.
Its definitely more of the same with great graphics and gameplay.
Pure addiction! Goodbye social life!
Classic wich'll never dieThis game is absolutely great; almost as great as the original's, but pretty close it gets. And that's quite much, considering the "hype". It has the same skills as the original, but with few new twists--- I won't spoil them to you :)
This game is a puzzle; and a hard one. Me, as a veteran of Lemmings -games, finished this but it took a fine two weeks. And many many hours. For beginners this is gonna be tough one. If you have never heard of lemmings let me brief you. In lemmings you control a group of helpless cuties; Lemmings ( of course :) trying to lead them to the exit from the start. It sounds simple, but it isn't... You're gonna agree :) Buy this, because Lemmings never die...
A classic, worth five stars. Buy this and the originals as well ( I saw a window 95 -versions package of them )
This game is phenomenal. It's both fun and educational--good for most ages (10 and up). Kids will love it because of the concept and the challenge. You must monitor your fatigue, hunger, thirst, and health levels and replenish them when they get to an unsafe level. Parents will love it because it's very educational. It may teach you how to survive should you actually get stuck on a desert island.
Overall, this game is simply one of the best I've played in my short yet consequential life. It's a shame that this game isn't made anymore. You'll simply have to buy a used one!
