    OVERALL GREAT PUZZLE GAME
This is a really good puzzle game. The closest I can think of to relating it with another game in terms of gameplay would be Adventures of Lolo. The game could have been alittle better in as far as your characters action abilities such as jumping and weapons but it is still a great game. Toki Tori must rescue all his egg buddies that have been kidnapped and scattered throughout the game. Once you have grabbed a certain ammount of eggs back you advance to the next stage. Each stage is timed and you are given just enough tools in your possesion to complete a level at a time. The game does get really tough on your brain though making it a really challenging puzzle game for all ages.

    Another Excellent puzzle game
This is a wonderful puzzle game. You must use the tools you are given to figure out how to collect all of the eggs in the level. You can create crates, freeze enemies, suck up enemies, dig holes with the ghost, move objects, telewarp, become a bubble and float, and more. There are four levels with 10 puzzles each, and then 5 hard puzzles in each level. You do not need to complete the hard puzzles to continue. You really need to study each puzzle closely to determine which tools to use where. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys puzzle solving and has a lot of patience.

    Excellent puzzle solving game
I am an adult who is addicted to puzzle games (see Puzzled). This game is very challenging. You must gather all of the eggs in a certain area using special tools. You can build bridges, telewarp, suck up bad guys, move bricks, drop crates etc. You must study the level and figure out how to use the tools you are given to get to all of the eggs. You can retry a level over and over until you figure it out, but you can't continue until you do. This is not a game for an impatient person. It can take hours to solve one puzzle. (...)

      hours of independant play
My daughter loves this book so much. It is made so much better than a lot of wooden toys that fall apart at the edges. I do recomend that your child be over their "everything in the mouth" phase as the pictures on the pieces will wear off easily. Also, I wish this book had a simple latch to keep it shut without the pieces falling out.

One of the best toys ever!
My daughter (1 1/2) received this puzzle book as a gift and she loves it! Of all the puzzles we own this is the one she is drawn to time and time again. It is a great toy because she can occupy herself for at least 20 minutes or I can sit and play with her. I love that the puzzle pieces are just her hand size and slightly magnetized. The illustrations are also bright and colorful. I just bought this puzzle for my nephew too because it is such a great gift. The only reason I rated it 4 on durability is because the edges are slightly starting to wear, but considering that she plays with it several times a day everyday, I think it has worn well. I definately recommend this puzzle for kids this age.

      One of son's new favorites
My son received this for Christmas. He has chosen to read this book before bedtime each night since Christmas. He likes if I take out the pieces on each page and then he puts the pieces in correctly as I read each description.

        Good puzzle
My four and five year olds both enjoy this puzzle. They like that they can pick which picture to have the puzzle make each time.

        Fun but will not last.
I got this for my 1 year old son for Christmas and he loves it but, the paper wraping the blocks was coming off the first day, I went ahead and took the rest off and he is still having fun stacking and puting them the the box.

        Great design, poor finish quality
I gave this puzzle to my daughters (age 1.5 and 3.5) for Christmas. Practically the first day, the stickers started to peel here and there. It wasn't terrible, but it's obvious that over time this isn't going to hold up.

I'm terribly disappointed because I wanted such a neat puzzle to last for the grandchildren. This puzzle is advertised as a wooden puzzle, which implies quality construction. It may be made of wood under the stickers, but that doesn't mean it's going to last.

After purchasing the Cutting Food Box by Melissa & Doug, (which is a fabulous, durable, awesome toy) I foolishly assumed that this would be of the same great quality, probably with a painted-on finish. Or at least a layer of lamination over the stupid stickers to protect them!!!

Well, it's just typical cheap "made in China" junk.

I called the company to complain. The first lady I spoke to assured me that this was absolutely not supposed to happen, it must be that I just got a bad one. She told me she'd send me a new one right away.

Here I am, over a month later, no new puzzle has arrived. So I called again and spoke to a gentlemen who wasn't so helpful. Apparantly, they just entered my information today, so my puzzle should ship tomorrow. I can't believe it's taking them so long to ship me a new one. But I guess, since they've already taken my money I'm not a priority anymore.

To top it off, my replacement puzzle will be of the same construction, no improvements. I don't really even want it anymore, but the customer service guy "didn't know what else to tell me."

Well the bottom line is, don't waste your money on this one, at least not if you're expecting something long-lasting.

Get ready to spin that wheel! Vanna White is your hostess in this home version of TV's popular game show. Compete head-to-head with an opponent or against the computer's video contestants to score points and win big. Gameplay is similar to the hit TV program. Contestants must guess the correct letters to slowly uncover a surprise word or phrase. Each spin of the wheel determines the dollar value of a correct guess. You can also buy vowels to help you solve a puzzle. This game contains hundreds of unique phrases and words to guess, which ensures that you'll return to play numerous times.

There have been many home versions of Wheel of Fortune over the years, but this version boasts gameplay that is most faithful to the original televised version. The celebrity presence of hostess Vanna White adds an element of legitimacy to the game, but her canned commentaries do get old quickly. Where's Pat Sajak when you need him? --Brett Atwood

        Pros:

        • Hundreds of unique puzzles to solve
        • Faithful reproduction of the hit TV series
        Cons:
        • Vanna White irritates after prolonged exposure
        Average review score:

Nice challenge for the middle school set!
I use this one in my classroom on one of those "Freaky Fridays." The kids are arranged in equal-numbered teams with one student being the respective team captain. Although some of the solutions and categories are a little unfamiliar to them, with my guidance, they do fairly well.

I encourage other teachers to make this a part of their educational "challenge."

        Where's Pat?
Like almost everyone, I agree that Vanna's comments between plays are tiresome. But the game is as realistic as the TV show. Still, I would really like to know why she's hosting and not Pat Sajak.............

A Great Game... But Where is Pat?
This is excellent, get this one and shy away from the 2nd edition. This game plays like you are "really there". But why isn't Pat Sajack considered for the games? I think it would have been wonderful to have had both Pat and Vanna on the games, doing equal roles... Notice that on the earlier NES versions they had "...featuring Vanna White" For the PS2 version, which will probably come out next summer, it should be "...featuring Pat Sajack and Vanna White"... Just a though to you Hasbro Interactive people out there!

          Bubble Blast
Bust-A-Move is the best game for your Game Boy. YOu need to play in the light or you can't see the different colored bubbles. You can play against your friend(s) or the computer. You can get secret players after you win a certain amount of wins in a row.

          Bust-A-Move Rocks
This is a awsome game. Like no other. All the bust a moves are great. I'm always playing them. Just to let parents know, this game keeps kids busy for hours. Well, any way this is my all time favorite GameBoy game.

          It's More Addictive than Tetris
This game is a great buy! If you are a bust a move fan, you will love this and thank me for recommending it to you. There are four different ways you can play - you can play a puzzle game, against the computer, against a friend with GameBoy link, and you can take the bust a move challenge. The best part is, all of these variations are a blast to play. It's very addictive and never gets boring. The only complaint I have is that if you do not have a worm light, it can be difficult to distinguish the different colors of the bubbles, but after playing a couple of rounds you get used to it. I have taught many people how to play bust a move and every single person became an addict like me.

          Construction 9-piece Peg Puzzle
          Made by Melissa & Doug
          Age Group: 24 months - 5 years
            Amazon base price: $9.99
Preschoolers have an endless fascination with construction vehicles of all kinds. This wooden peg puzzle has nine laminated wooden pieces with pictures of seven different vehicles, a house under construction, and a collection of tools. The puzzle pieces have tiny red pegs for easy grasping. The same pictures that are on the pieces are also laminated on the board, making it easy for little ones to place pieces when reassembling the puzzle. The wooden puzzle frame has rounded corners and measures 8.5 by 12 inches. --Marcie Bovetz

            My son LOVES these puzzles!
These durable, well-constructed wooden puzzles are a big hit with the 18 months + crowd. I believe my son's love of trucks started with this educational puzzle. The pieces are easy for little hands to grasp with the attached pegs, the puzzle is easy yet developmentally sound for toddlers and definitely worth the money. Do yourself a favor though--get a puzzle holder if you plan on purchasing a few of these types of puzzles...

This is a very nice learning toy
We purchased this for our sons, after finally finding it @ Toys'R'Us.

The toy is beautifully hand-made -- as well as perfectly put together, however, it does chip very easily...

Being that usually a child, as young as 1 1/2 will begin using puzzles, if interested; I think they should coat the puzzle a little better to avoid the various bumps and scraps it might encounter..

Other then the slight chipping after less than a month, it is a very nice puzzle, which is actually easier for our kids to play with then the regular flat puzzles...I think it was a very good idea for motor skill improvement...

            nice, smooth, durable puzzle
This is a nice puzzle, but I perfer the Jumbo Knob Puzzle Farm. The Jumbo Knob Puzzle has a knob instead of a peg and it is easier for little children to grasp.

This puzzle will do just fine though, .... The edges are smooth and the base of the puzzle is thick enough that it is not going to break.

            Such a great game!
I just love Dr. Mario. I was a devoted Tetris player and saw that Dr. Mario was a similar puzzle-type game where you arrange the falling vitamin pills (speed increases just like in Tetris) in order to eradicate the blinking viruses. It's simple to learn, but the more you play, the more strategy you learn, making better choices in the placement of the pills. I find it's a good game to grab when you have just a few minutes to kill because you can play a quick one very easily. If you like Tetris, you'll love Dr. Mario, too.

            The greatest puzzle game ever?
In the late eighties and early nineties, Nintendo made a name for their Mario character by making him the star of many wildly successful platformer action/adventure games. By the time the eighties screeched to a halt, people knew that they could go to Mario for a high quality game. In the last part of the decade, Tetris caused a puzzle game revolution, and Nintendo obviously wanted to cash in on this, so they cast Mario in a puzzle game - appropriately entitled Dr. Mario. Read on for my review.

            PROS:
-The game is easy to learn, yet difficult to master. These are the best types of video games out there.
-Even on one of the old black and white Game Boys, the graphics for this game look pretty good.
-If you've got two Game Boys, two games, and two link cables, you can to an insanely fun two-player game!
-This game established that Mario is more than just an action/adventure game character - he's something more than that!

            CONS:
-This isn't really a direct flaw of the game, but when you play on a Game Boy Color/Advance/Player, the gray viruses and the gray capsules have somewhat of a different color to them - this could be confusing to new players. This is obviously due to the original game using tints rather than colors, since the original Game Boy was black and white.
-The Princess is in the instructions, but not the actual game. =(

            OVERALL:
-Got a Game Boy? If you own this game, good for you. If not, what the hell are you waiting for? Dr. Mario is arguably the greatest puzzle game of all time, and not owning it is the ultimate sin! Get on eBay or your local used video games dealer, and get yourself a copy. Better yet, get two, so you and a friend can link up!

            Even better than Tetris!
When I first bought Dr. Mario, I thought it be just an imatation of Tetris. It sort of is, but its even more fun. You have to get rid of all the germs by lining up pills of the same color onto each other. You suceed after you get rid of all the germs. Like Tetris, you die when the pills reach the top of the screen and have no where else to go. This game never gets old because I've had it for 6 years and still play it. You can adjust the speed of the game and the music. I highly recommend it.

            Fire Truck Puzzle

            Age Group: 24 months - 5 years
              Amazon base price: $9.99
This 8.5-by-12-inch natural wood puzzle has a laminated picture of a fully rigged fire truck, along with a faithful dalmatian, waiting for the next alarm. There are nine large puzzle pieces in this set, each with an attached red peg to make it easier for little hands to lift the pieces out of the frame. The same picture that is on the pieces is illustrated on the board, making it easy for little ones to match pieces when reassembling the puzzle. The puzzle pieces can also be reassembled outside the frame. --Marcie Bovetz

              Survived Destruct-o boy!
Soon after my sons 2nd birthday, I searched for puzzles that would challenge him more than the 1-piece, 1-hole type. What I found was stimulating for my little guy, and it gave us countless hours of one of one time together. The "Fire Truck Peg Puzzle" is different from other peg puzzles that have one piece per opening. This puzzle has one large opening, and no separations. The puzzle encourages young children to think, yet at the same time have fun, because it includes the same picture beneath the pieces. It requires more concentration than the stage-1 type of puzzle, and it was exactly what William needed.

I found this age group learns, and retain more information from realistic pictures, or photographs of everyday things, rather than animated illustrations. The manufacturer of this toy understands that, and although the Fire Truck is a rendered drawing, it closely resembles its real-life counterpart. The puzzle is designed well. By that, I mean the division of the pieces is perfectly presented. In addition, each piece includes a red peg so the puzzle is easy to work.

William has enjoyed this puzzle from the time I eyed it in the store. In fact, he's not ready to give it up, and why should he. He turns 3 next month, so he's had 8 good months with the "Fire Truck Peg Puzzle" and will probably continue to "work it" a while longer. It's held up well considering my sons destruct-o moods, and will probably carry on for the next generation's play and abuse. 2-years and up.

              Happy Playing,

              Mary

              great puzzle for toddlers
This is a great little puzzle for the truck loving toddler set. This was my daughter's first puzzle that involved pieces that can move around (i.e. that don't fit into a single slot). It only has 9 pieces and 7 of them are edge pieces so it is perfect for a kid figuring out the rules of this kind of puzzle. The picture underneath helps so it is challenging but not frustrating for a kid who already can do the slot puzzles. My daughter used it as a springboard and within a month of getting this had moved on to the the 23 piece Jumbo Firetruck Puzzle. Because of this, I think it is pretty clear that the recommended age range (2-5) is wrong. She got it when she was 19 months old, did it a lot for a month, then enjoyed doing it occasionally for a couple more months. At 23 months she has grown out of it. Even taking into account differences between kids, the upper age limit for this puzzle is probably 3.

              Great puzzle!
A definite must for the firetruck lover in your family. This keeps my toddler busy for quite awhile and he even talks to it! Very, very cute and durable too - it takes quite a slamming and hasn't even chipped.

                A bit confused
I tried playing with this game, but I couldn't figure out how to get the spiral game to work. That is the only one I have tried sp far and I've only been trying for about a half hour, but it gave me a head ache, so i gave up. But other than that, the game was a ton of fun and is sure to keep me busy for a long time.

An Uncle who bought a cool gift
I bought the Harry Potter Magic Puzzles for my nieces and I scored some major brownie points. They loved this at first because it was about their hero, Harry Potter, however, they play with it for hours on end. Putting the puzzles together is fun in itself, but then there are the cool magic tricks and the VERY COOL optical illusion using the spiral disk too. This is great for any kid interested in magic, as well jigsaw puzzles and Harry! A big thumbs up!

                ?
                This game is cool.
                anybody can play this game.

This puzzle is awesome!! I was a little scared at first I mean 1000 piece puzzle the last time I tried one it never got finished. This one was hard but not impossible. I really enjoyed working on this puzzle it was a blast!

One of the most fun puzzles that I've done
First off, let me say that I'm not a believer in the Tarot. Somehow, I would put it in the same category as my Magic 8 Ball. Apologies to anyone who I might of offended but that's just me.

That done, this was a fun puzzle to put together! And afterwards, you can do your own Tarot reading by picking a card and following the directions on the puzzle. After I finished the puzzle, I framed it and it makes a terrific conversation piece and I can still take it down to do a tarot reading. I would recommend putting this one to anyone who likes tarot and puzzles. :-)

                  That's my 2 cents,

                  Victor
