This was a gift to my newborn boy, but my 2 1/2 year old adores it!
Pros:
1. helps teach letters (each animal has the letter that starts its name on its back)
2. compact, portable
3. cute!
4. animals good for other play (my daughter likes to pretend to "save" them when they are stuck in a tree, or have them ride in her "airplane" (shoe)... and much much more
5. OK for babies (although the animals are smallish, ~ 3inches tall, they never presented a choking hazard for my son -- who likes to chew them)
6. The animals machine wash well (see chewing note above :) )
Cons:
1. Lots of pieces to lose -- we lost the lion for quite a while, but he showed up behind the entertainment center
2. Some of the animals are not so recognizable -- I think "N" is a newt, but it's hard to tell.

Despite the few cons, this is probably my favorite toy that my kids have. Thus, 5 stars all around!

I bought this for my daughter at 17 months and she loves it. Not only is it beautiful, it's the best quiet time toy ever!!

We've owned this toy for over 3 years. The manufacturer (Pockets of Learning) replaces missing pieces at no charge, not even shipping!

a long time ago i had no dogs and then when i got that i played with it all the time, and its the best rottweiler dog EVER!

I'm only here because I desperately need a replacement after it fell from the buggy on the way back from nursery. My son Charlie has taken this dog everywhere with him 24 hours a day for 2 years. The dog lost the tip of his nose after a particularly heavy wrestling match with my son, but the toy was robust enough to survive even this.

My daughter received her rottweiler puppy when she was two years old, she's almost 5 and she still plays with "princess".

I gave one 2 my b-friend 4 0ur 2 years of dating anneversary. He sleeps with it every night!!!!!! and surprize surprize1 He gave me one of those silly little Animal Alley Yorkshire Terriers 2! Is that not a dorable. I sleep with it every night!!!!!!

I bought this doll as a companion for my own Yorkshire Terrier, Buffy, when she was a puppy. Buffy has LOVED this little doll, she still sleeps with it and carries it with her. Four months later the doll has not lost anything but it's bow. I can wash it when it gets dirty and yes, the hair needs brushing occasionally but anyone who ever had a puppy knows how hard it is to find toys that last through teething. I recommend it for children and dogs alike.

I love this yorkshire terrier. I want him for Christmas. I have always wanted a real dog like this.

My son is almost one year old and he can not go to sleep at night if he does not have his 2 bears with him, one on each side. He loves to rub the satin with his fingers and cuddle with the bears. He used to wake up a few times a night and would cry until I came into his room. For the last 3 months since I put first one, then two bears into his crib, he no longer continues to cry at night. When he wakes up he will fuss very briefly. When I go into the room to make sure he is ok he will be cuddling his bears. They have helped me to get continuos sleep at night and made my son more comforitable and secure.

I love this teddy bear! It was given to me at my baby shower. The person who gave it too me had my baby's name embroidered inside the little the heart! There is nothing like seeing your baby's name on his first teddy bear. This was the most meaningful gift I received.

My son just turned a year old and a co-worker bought him a lamb just like the bear that you guys sell it has been a life saver. My son likes this lamb so much he takes it every where with him and he knows when we give him his lamb it is time for bed and he never fusses i love it. Thanks so much for this product.

I bought this for my son's first birthday. He Just loves his poney. He hugged it the minute I took it out of the box. He touches its mouth when it talks and he loves to climb on it and rock. He learned how to make it sing immediately and now he always gets on the poney and presses the ear to make it sing and he rocks happily. Sometimes if I start singing the poney song, he'll walk over to it and hop on and start rocking. It is a big, big hit! It took me a while to get the horse, since it kept selling out, but it was worth the wait.

We bought this horse for our sons 1st birthday and are a little disappointed that he seems afraid when we put him on it. I think it may be due to the fact that he is not yet walking and can't climb on or off by himself yet. He does however love the music it plays. I think when he gets a little older and more coordinated he will love this. The only thing that is a little misleading is the "cowboy" hat that comes with it. It is a hard red plastic hat that looks like more like a cross between a hardhat and a baseball cap. I guess because they put a sticker of a cowboy on the front they can get away with calling it a cowboy hat. That wouldn't be so bad if the hat weren't so big that it only fits an adult sized head. Basically the hat is useless, but the horse is a cute gift! Definitely recommended.

My son received this as a gift from my parents for his first birthday. It easily converts from the rocking horse to the ride-on horse. He wasn't able to reach the floor but still loved to be pushed in our living room and up and down the hallway. This ride is the perfect size for a little one, not overwhelmingly large. It rolls easily front and backwards, so that when he was able to touch the ground he could push himself. The only thing that has aggravated me is the motor in the mouth of the horse makes a grinding noise. My son loves the son the songs and he is able to push and play the music independently.

This horse model lets you use your imagination to explore. Open up a world of : Show Jumping, Cross Country , and Dressage. Or create a world of your own , full of wild horses! These horses seem to come alive as you play adventures with them. They are so durable, educational, and , of course, FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If your a horse lover these are the perfect toys!! :) HORSES RULE!!!!

Being a Breyer collecter almost all of my life, I would like to say that this toy is great! It is so unique in every way and it is the perfect mold for a show horse! This toy is not only fun to play with, but it is also very durable and strong. I think that this toy is educational for the horse-lover's mind. I shows us what a certin kind of horse would look like without them having to buy one.

This model is beautiful. each model is hand painted, and looks unique. these breyer models are hich quality and worth the money, but since there are some very weak parts of the model (like legs and tail) you have to be careful. Don't get it wrong, these are pretty strong. They are not exactly fragile or anything.... but overall pretty durable. It is also totally educational. The box comes with the name of the breed of horse, (in this case Bay Pinto) and its realistic features really help you learn about that particular breed and what it looks like. The thing i love about this model and all other breyer models is the close resemblance to the real thing. These are not cheesy barbie horses with cheap plastic and eyelashes... This could hardly be called a toy. It is something that adults could collect, and put around the house as decoration. Great for all ages!

is the most realistic plush Boston Terrier I have ever seen. Having the real thing (a year old Boston) just wasn't enough for my 2 girls. They each wanted their own puppy to mother, and this little guy was a perfect gift. Buy it for the Boston lover in your life. :o)

This is a nice stuffed playtoy. It is pretty authentic looking. Of course, it is nice for playing doggy with the little ones. However, it would be nice if it actually barked or did something more to keep the attention of the kids. It is simply a stuffed toy. Overall, it is well worth the price.

Now this is a "to cute" stuff toy. Its bright colored, crinkles on the feet, has a rattle in it and the tummy squeaks and its not 1 of those tiny stuffed toys that you buy thinking its larger. This one is larger. I bought this for my granddaughter Jamie and gave it to her today. She loved it instantly which of course makes the purchase worth every cent you pay. In this case the price is so reasonable that you can't go wrong.

My son got this toy for Christmas just before he turned 3 months old. It mostly sat at the end of his crib until he was about 5 months old and started to show an intrest in it. He loves the crinkles and the rattle feet.... and the "hair" made of yarn. He'll be 8 months in a week, and out of the 10 strings of yarn, two have come unlooped and one has completely come out. I'm afraid my son will choke on a loose string. Now, I only let him play with it when I'm right there with him, and it leaves his crib at night.

Hello, I am a proud owner of this little herd. I think these toys are very fun and educational because you can care for them , walk,trot,canter(slope) and even gallop them! I don't think these toys deserved 5 stares on durablity because one of my horses tail chiped. These are also very fun to play with if you have more StableMates to add to this herd! Because of how my horse chipped (and my freinds horses leg broke) I would'nt recamend giving these horses to cildren under 3 (the leg or any part of the horses body could break and be swallowed) or anyone who might play ruffly with there toys. These horses make great little aditions to any breyer collection.

This is a really good solid set with really pretty pony's.Personally I had a little trouble with standing up the grey thouroughbred mare,also, breyer reuses their molds so now I have many more than one mold in my herd.

Our family truly enjoys the Rush Hour game and tried this one as well - it is bigger and bulkly and convenient for travel. I alos find the puzzles to be a bit easier. The pieces don't slide as well as Rush Hour.

I knew this game at a friend's house and love it even I was 30 already at that time. I bought several when I went back to visit my family and they all love it. When I told my mom that I would give my brother's 1st grad boy a set, she told me he won't like it since he doesn't like the brain games. But he loves it soon after my sister explain to him the rules and he enjoys to do it. My little one, almost 23 months old now, likes those animals and loves to put all of those animals to the board one by one and kind of learn the size and arrange the place. It's not only for 8 and up.

I bought this for my 6 year old. She played with it for an hour the first time. It is a game she can play solo. After using the Junior cards, she went on to the beginner. She is still progressing. This is a great thinking game. I highly recommend it.
