Good idea, mediocre executionPROS:
-The number of platformers for ALL systems has been dropping greatly in recent years due to all the hype for three-dimensional games, so it's good to see a new Bomberman game.
-You can save your progress with a password.
-The game looks and plays like a side-scroller should, for the most part.
CONS:
-The time limit is bound to get on your nerves.
-How exactly do those bombs stay suspended in midair?
-Boss characters are UNREALISTICALLY DIFFICULT.
-The Jump Mode is just plain stupid.
-No multiplayer mode.
-Though a good idea, the game ultimately falls flat.
OVERALL:
This is a good game if you can't get enough of Bomberman or side-scrolling puzzle-action games. Just don't buy this expecting anything revolutionary - you won't get anything of that sort.

Some how addicting...
Don't Take Gamespot's Word for it...
2D gaming at it's...weirdest?The enemies are also incredibly strange--take for example, a giant butterfly woman with a vaccuum cleaner attached to her rear(Serah), a gender-switching nemesis with a sword/gun (Zohar), and the two rulers of the S and Ms (Hal and Megido). They both have incredibly long noses, but other than that are the opposites of each other; while Hal is brilliant and leans toward making his Guardian Angels (robotic bodyguards) to conquer his foes, Megido is incredibly violent and powerful and shows up more than a few times during the game.
Overall, this is an excellent game. If you find it anywhere, buy it on the spot. You won't regret it, believe you me. Everything from Nazo2unit's wonderful techno/rock/classical music to the old-school 2D graphics to the story, translation and gameplay is perfect. As Shyna would say, "Call me crazy, but as a general rule I don't purchase flora from giant homocidal flying fish!"

Like the previous Spider-Man Game Boy title, Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six takes place on a two-dimensional series of battlefields. Spidey can wall-crawl, stick to ceilings, punch, kick, and jump, and shoot webs. He can also web-swing from platform to platform. They've given him a few new moves that let him do leaping attacks, and a power-up that makes him invulnerable. The action begins on the docks and moves to other locations, such as a warehouse and office building. A supervillain boss defends each stage; figuring out how to defeat his cronies will keep you on your toes.
The gameplay is simple, but Spidey has a nice array of powers that keep the combat and movement interesting. The game features 18 levels and countless thugs to beat up. Cool comic-book-style cutscenes bookend each level nicely.
Fans of the webhead will be delighted to face off against so many of the wall crawler's cooler rogues gallery in a single game. Plus, the colorful yet minimalist graphics don't disappoint, as Spidey is drawn larger this time around and moves quite easily. But the game's best selling point is the creativity found in the simple yet fun-to-swing-around-in level design. --Andrew S. Bub
Pros:
- Faithful to the hero and the comics
- A good variety of boss villains
- Excellent level design
- Repetitive action
- No replay value

It's goodrumble Spiderman2: The Sinister Six for GBC. As Spidey, you are called upon to save a kidnapped auntie M (aunt May for those of you who aren't familiar) from the many-tentacled clucthes of Doc Ock. All of Spidey's powers are yours to use, including the ability to cling to walls, super strength, speed, and web-slinging and more. Spiderman 2 contains game play similar to its PS1 cousin, with suberb graphics and sound rounding out and impressive title.

Each platoon of worms is given an assortment of weapons, tools, and utilities with which to dispose of the enemy in any way necessary. Players can reconfigure platoon weapons for each game to create war zones.
Use the Internet to challenge players in the next town, country, or continent.

nice game to play with a friendIts really humoristic and quite exciting to play if you and your friend are equally skilled. And its easy to learn: in about an hour you can learn the basics.
But worms 1 was far better... I gave away my worms 2 cd to a friend, but no-one touches worms 1 !

You explore five ships inside and out, panning, zooming, and rotating your way through dozens of 3-D props and objects. Along the way, you can activate consoles, phasers, monitors, and tricorders as if you were in command of the ship. The program features more than 1,600 linked hot spots that simulate real Starship commands. The graphic simulations of the ships are impressive, and moving your way around is easy. No doubt this is the closest experience to being on one of the Starship bridges you could have without actually being there (or on a Star Trek set).
There is only one problem with this program--nothing happens. Once you've looked around the ships, there's not much else for you to do. You may be disappointed that there are no Klingons to fight and no place to beam to. Unless you are a Trekkie fascinated by every ounce of Star Trek trivia, you might fall asleep in the Captain's Chair.

Ensign you have the conn. You get to go on any of five Star Trek Bridges and push buttons and shoot probes and phasers. The best part is you get to pick up props like phasers and hyprosprase. You even get to open a tricorder. The games mostly free-roaming, actualy it is all free roaming. It's live action to exept for the original enterprise which is cheap 3-D. The only bad part is that you can get bored after your first three days of playing. It's not like you sit there for a month and try to beat it. It is a game to come back to and play every once and a while though. COOLEST STAR TREK GAME EVER.
P.S. I hear people buy this game and get disapointed because they can't free roam the whole ship. I do have another game called STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION INTERACTIVE TECHNICAL MANUAL that let's you free-roam every main room on the enterprise-D only. Including Enginering, Ten Foraward, Transportation (like beaming) and even the captains quarters. Check this game out to!
Most under rated of Star Trek CD's. Could use update.

it's all right
BUY THIS!This version of the game also has a whole additional game on it also, and with a 3D video card (even the most basic), the graphics are amazing. Dated, but hey, this puts the graphics of the old SNES to shame. It is VERY easy to set up and get started, and can be as tough as you want it. I've hardly even scratched the surface of all the various features and levels and know I have a lot of future fun in store for me with this. The music, while in midi form, is (to me) almost indistinguishable from MP3 quality stuff. And you get a lot of music. All sorts of variations on John William's great Star Wars scores.
There are also a ton of options. You can turn the music up or down, or off. You can turn the sound effects (also great) up or down or off. You can play your OWN music (MP3's) if you want while playing the game. Try some electronica/trance, or some Pink Floyd! Get creative, have fun. You can give yourself unlimited weapons and make yourself and your ship invulnerable to damage. The possibilites truly are endless. This is halfway between an arcade type shooter and a true space combat simulator, with various levels of both. In a short time, I have played the game for dozens of hours already, and am still discovering new things, and cool features. There is a neat pilot training feature, a "film" room, talking characters and background voices, it goes on and on. I can't believe I waited so long to buy/play this, but then, I am but a young, struggling Jedi-starfighter who has been deserted on a lonely planet for awhile.
If you have ever wanted to fly off into space in a variety of ships and enjoy the trip without leaving your PC, and if you are at all even the most casual Star Wars fan, you just gotta buy this, and now! You don't know what you're missing if you've never played. Smoke 'em if you've got 'em, and/or have a drink to warm your innards, turn down the lights, get that gamepad or joystick in hand, put on the headphones, and escape into the ride of your life. .. Amazing! And I haven't touched any of my old SNES rom games since buying this. Best [$$] you'll ever invest in a whole universe of fun, which you can visit any time you want to escape from earthbound reality for awhile. Did I mention that although it's a jewel case, there's a HUGE free instructional manual? What are you waiting for?
I know more recent and better graphically-enhanced Star Wars games are out there, and I've sampled them, but the system requirements on this make it playable for almost ANYONE with a PC, and for now, I'd like you to stop reading this, and go click this classic gem (and still unequaled in many ways) into your shopping cart NOW! You will thank me later, and as always, "May the Force be with you..."

Good Port of a PC TitleYou are Material Defender 1032, a mercenary hired by the Post-Terran Mining Corporation to douse a robotic rebellion in their intergalactic mines. It seems that a mysterious alien virus has overtaken control of the robots and is coercing them to attack Earth. Thus, you are sent to purge the PTMC mines by destroying their fusion Reactors.
The objectives of each level are fairly simple. Find the appropriate colored keys to open the proper doors in order to find the Reactor. Upon finding the Reactor, you can destroy it setting off a countdown sequence during which you must race to the exit as fast as possible. It is a compelling formula that never grows old.
The Playstation version of Descent is a worthy port of its PC counterpart. It offers new features including:
- An awesome new Redbook soundtrack. Some of the tunes come from the PC version of Descent 2, but most are actually remixes of the MIDI music found in the original PC Descent game.
- New movies. The game is marked by several CG-animated movies, including lengthy renderings of the introduction sequence and the ending sequence in full-motion.
- Colored lighting. During countdown sequences, the entire mine turns red and the lights pulsate. Weapons also have a colorful hue about them when they hit walls or other objects.
Still, the Playstation version is inferior in some respects. The most obvious is the framerate. It can be rather choppy at times and I would guesstimate it hovers around 15-20 fps. Moreover, it would have been cool if the multiplayer modes were split-screen instead of requiring two televisions, two Playstations, and two copies of Descent.
Needless to say, though, if you've never played Descent here's a good place to start. One of the more remarkable aspects of this port is how well the PSX controller was used. Anyone who has played Descent on the PC knows there are a ton of controls. Yet, somehow, Parallax simplified it all to fit on a PSX controller in a very intuitive, natural fashion.
Descent
Truly the master of all true 3-D games!
