Pretty Decent Racer for the GBC
This game for the gameboy color only apparently is a pretty good racing game overall. I think though that it suffers from many of the problems that some of the other Episode I games suffer from in that it feels like it could have been better. The graphics during the opening and while viewing the ships and planets are pretty good, but I feel like the graphics within the game itself could have been better. However that being said this game is still a lot of fun, and the rumble pack does add some nice features at times. The learning curve seems to be pretty gradual, I got through the first couple of wins pretty quickly but then it started to take me about 10 races on average to win a new race. If you want to beat all the races on all the planets it could take some serious playing time. Overall though this makes a great game if you are trying to beat records or if you just want something to do real quick while your waiting. One small note unlike many of the GameBoy games that I play a lot I find this one hard to play while moving/walking and thus its not a good game if you use your gameboy while working out like I do.

    The Best
The best Gameboy game that I have ever played is Star Wars Episode I Racer. It is extremely addictive, and quite fun. The little rumble pack included is quite cool. This game takes a while to beat, and it is entertaining to beat Sebulba at the end. The variety of its graphics make this game worth its price.

    Awesome GameBoy Game!
This is the best Game Boy Color game I have ever played in my life! The graphics are excellent, considering the graphical limits placed on the system. The sound is awesome, and I like the rumble pack that is included with the game. It has a great replay value, and the game play never really gets boring. The only thing I had trouble with was the tight turns, but even here it wasn't really a problem. Anyone who is a Star Wars fan, looking for a good GBC game, or buying for little kids should buy this game!

    Imaginarium Mini Rainbow Sphere
    Made by Hoberman Designs
      Amazon base price: $
      List price: $14.99 (that's NaN% off!)
The colorful Hoberman Mini Sphere comes out of the box looking like a futuristic Christmas-tree ornament. It's a cross between a ball and a star, and measures 5.5 inches across. But pick it up by any one of its dozens of plastic points and this amazing little feat of engineering, or imagineering, expands neatly into a lattice-like globe that's 12 inches in diameter. The inventor calls it a trapezoidal icosatetrahedron; you could also call it a Bucky Ball, but either way, it's a fascinating exercise in complex simplicity. The structure is rigid enough to roll and throw, yet if touched in the right way, it will suddenly collapse again, curling in on itself like a defensive hedgehog. An enclosed pamphlet describes various tricks you can do--if you're prepared to practice. And it's so aesthetically pleasing that Mom or Dad may swipe it for a desk ornament. --Richard Farr

Not strong enough for my house
We have 4 kids in our house and every time we saw this in a toy store, they played with it. I gave it to them on a Friday and by Monday night, it wouldn't collapse any more. They did have fun pulling on it and rolling it around, but it is not made to handle the tug of war games my 3 and 4 year olds put it through. It's fairly expensive for a toy that just opens and closes and isn't very durable. I don't see how people can say it's educational except to teach colors. It's like saying a ball or a slinky is educational. I wouldn't recommend this toy to a family with active children.

      Great office toy!
I keep one of these on my desk and it's great for when you want to do something with your hands while you're thinking. It even makes trips around the office, because other people borrow it to use while they're brainstorming. When you've got writer's block or are trying to puzzle out a difficult problem, it's better than a squeezy for working out your thoughts.

      The most amazing toy ever
We bought one small sphere and it's been the favorite toy of my nephews age 3 & 11. It's also amazed my almost 17 year old son. It's a stress reliever and entertainer all rolled into one. It hangs up, plays catch, spins on the floor to open and close and if you start at the top of the stairs with it closed by the time it gets to the bottom it's open. It's amazing. We find new things it will do every day. We just ordered our second one for my nephews and will soon be ordering the large sized one for my 17-year-old. Maybe he'll give me the small one to take to work. Well worth the price for the hours it has occupied my nephews.

        Brutally DIFFICULT!!!
This thing is hard, because this one lets you make a bit of progress and then you'll get a cheap death! Are the graphics good? Yes. As soon as you get this thing you might as well turn the brightness way up.

        Better then Duke Nukem 64..
How much better is Duke Nukem: Zero Hour, then Duke Nukem 64? It's better in every since of the word. This one is a 3rd person veiw. And, the graphic's are So, much better! No more choppy carb board Foe's. The weapon's are Awesome too! From a gun that shoot's thing's that bounces all through the area's, To a Volt cannon that you don't want to use under-water. In the game you through all kind's of Time Era's, too. The Multi-player mode is lacking though.

        COME GET SOME!!!
Duke Nukem: Zero Hour rocks!!! It has everything an excellent game needs! Huge guns, challenging levels, women, and a lot of levels! It's awesome, it even takes you to certain historical events. I got to kill Jack the Ripper. If you love shooting games and challenging gameplay than this is the perfect game. Even after you beat it you keep playing. Also an excellent multiplayer game. The best since Goldeneye's multiplayer. Also Duke's quotes are hilarious and and the posters you see as you're walking around the levels are classic. An awsome variety of aliens to kill so you're not killing the same thing repeatedly! This game proves that Nintendo is shedding it's "family" image and leaving the Dukester nearly uncensored! HAIL TO THE KING BABY!!!!

Vincent 's favorite Night time activitie
I purchased this for my son (He just turned 2) after he was totally taken with Baby Einstein's Baby Galileo's Dvd. It's a bit of a pain with the installation (fishing wire, and those very tiny star tac's ). But other than that its a great way for children to learn about the solar system.

          A must have!!!!!!!!

          I want one too
My daughter got one of these but never showed much interest, so we hung it in my 4-yo son's room. It was so cool, the planets glow really brightly and in different colors....Jupiter is kind of red and neptune is blueish. I take every opportunity to go in his room and watch these, I want my own set. Now all I need to do is convince my wife.
          Very cool toy.

Great game, just too easy :(
When i first hear about megaman extreme I ordered it, I get the game a friday in I played about 2 hours, the saturday I did play 1 hour and the sunday 1 hour, and guess what? Well the game was finished, i don't really think it is as dificult as too many people says, cuz i get everything in the game, ( including the street fighter moves ), and it wasn't dificult at all. Well the game is cool, and good graphics, good sound, but personally I would like games more dificult or at least long enought to play them for more than a simple weekend. If U like the megaman series get the game, but don't expect a game dificult, just expect another megaman. an easy one, and with some stages that U played before, in other megaman titles.

            6 stars.....
This game is amazing! It is a GBC port of 2 classic SNES games. It's amazing how you can put this all from the Super NES onto a Game boy color*. When you first play the game, there are four bosses: Chill penguin, Storm eagle, Flame stag, and Spark mandrill. When you beat these Bosses + 4 SIGMA levels, you unlock Hard mode.It won't be easy. (Don't beleive the game, Hard mode is actually EASIER than Normal mode.) In hard mode, you fight these guys: Wheel gator, Armored armadillo, Morph moth, Magna centipede. Oh, and watch out for zain and geemel, THEY'RE BIG TROUBLE without all 4 armor upgrades. Also, there's an attack of every color: Shotgun Ice[Light blue], Storm Tornado[Lavender], Speed burner[Red], Electric Spark[Yellow], Spin Wheel[Green], Rolling Shield[Orange], Silk Shot[Gray], and Magnet Mine[Blue].

**This game works on the original Game Boy.

            WOW
This game is basicly like megamanX1 and 2. Its very fun its got the same first level as X1 and the same last level boss to. but you cant be zero but oh well. hes not the greatest person in the world. this game has lost of challenges. also its got the same classic music and gaffics as X1. This is harder then X5 to tell everyone the truth. Lots of games are easyer then that game. anyway my final words are THIS GAME IS GREAT SO BUY IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

              moon tycoon
I first bought this without looking at the reveiws at amazon, but i found i thoroughly enjoyed it. It was the first tycoon game that was in 3d which was why i bought it. I really like tycoon games. This one was great! The missions are clearly possible, the graphics are great, the gameplay is great and the structures look really cool. Even the inflatable houses look neat. There are some cons though. Such as: The screen movement is choppy and it's VERY hard to keep your budget in tact. In the reagular version you start out with 50000 dollars to build your entire colony. When you finally finish you can look back at your work and enjoy it because the layout they made is beautiful, a real eye opener. I too wished when i was playing this game that i could just settle in one of my colonys. It is clear how any sim would want to settle in on someone's colony.
Recommendations: I would recommend this to anyone who is good at keeping good budget at these games.
              Not recemmended to: Gray Davis

              very nice sim game!
Moon Tycoon looked like an awesome game when I carefully examined the box. I bought it and it is cool! I do admit the fully 3D interface is tricky to get used to esp. after games like Simcity and Roller Coaster Tycoon. But with a little time I liked it. The graphics are really good with a highly textured lunar surface and fairly well rendered buildings. The map is quite big allowing for a large colony with plenty of room for expansion. You first need to build a control center then "inflatable homes" for your colonists. You also construct oxygen plants and power production plants. Everything is connected via either above, or below ground tunnels. As you progress thru the game more buildings become available due to "research", a common feature of games such as Starcraft and Roller Coaster Tycoon. You make money thru mining and exporting as well as tourists. You can trade goods with Earth or aliens (yes aliens). The game takes place in 2021 and Earth is in crisis as it runs out of natural resources. The game is refreshingly original and I recommend it to any sim fan! Check it out!

Move over Sim City...here's Moon Tycoon!
I've been waiting for a Space Sim game for years. The wait is over and its been worth it. Let me just point out the aspects that make it so worthy.

Gorgeous graphics. It really looks like you're on the Moon, flying around a space colony! You really have to play the game to understand. COMPLETE 3D camera freedom, beautiful Earth-rises, and just wait until night time and your colony night-lights turn on! I've spent hours just looking at the screen, drooling at the sights.

Balance of gameplay. The game itself plays perfectly for a kid, or the expert gamer, providing lots of layers of depth to suit your needs. Build homes, communications and utilitie as the foundation, then grow into a mining, production, research or tourist colony. The designers of this game have really taken a fresh approach to the Sim theme, taking it in whole new directions.

Cotnrols. The designers of this game have made a truly marvelous control system. You pick up the game in seconds, and the camera control fits like a glove. Other companies should take a look at the contol system here for pointers.

Concept and Story. Usually a major flaw in most games, the story behind Moon Tycoon is both dramatic and very possible in the near future. Its nice to see that some game designers are actually putting some substance in a game. Plus, the script has loads of humor and more references to sci-fi movies than you can imagine.

Lots more goodies. Two seperate soundtracks: either ambient or techno really let you immerse yourself into the game, 3D sound effects, and the coolest disasters ever in a game(you can bombard your colony with the "Armageddon" asteroid if you want!)

And finally...the price! I'm simply amazed by the 19.99 price tag. This game could easily go for 39.99 and still sell strong.
Probably the best value you can get for a game.

              I Highly Recommend!!!!

                THE BEST TOY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought this toy for my son for his 11 birthday. My son is very picky on toys. When he only saw the box he said it was the best toy he had. He ran into his room and started seting it up. He never leaves his room. He is always playing with the sea monkeys. I bought it a month ago and the sea monkeys are turning diffrent colors example; red, blue, green, yellow exa.He loves them SO much. This set is very strong. He droped it once with the Sea monkeys in it ,but the Sea monkeys were ok and the tank didnt break. I recemend this toy for starters and masters.

                What A Blast !
The world's favorite instant easy care pets, Sea Monkeys, now come in a new exciting kit that promises hours of fun and excitement !

Sea Monkeys, brine shrimps that live and grow longer than the ones found in aquariums, hatches instantly when the eggs are placed in water. The Sea Monkeys included in this kit can live longer, of up to TWO YEARS and grow larger than the Sea-Monkeys of previous kit. You can teach these little critters tricks and breed them. What's even more amazing about these Sea-Monkeys is that they can "brought back to life" from death !

In this new Space Shuttle kit, the basic equipment are included. The feeding spoon, the three essential packets to start your Sea-Monkeys, a booklet and a Space Shuttle tank with a built in air pump and light, makes keeping Sea-Monkeys much easier task than before !

A fantastic kit, not only it looks good, it can be used for educational purposes, to introduce children to the natural world, and as described in the booklet, it is great to "de-stress" any adult on the verge of going crazy.

One of the best Sea-Monkey kits around, this kit promises to excite and educate children and adult of all ages.

A must have for Sea Monkey lovers
Those who have been raising sea monkeys for a while will find this aquarium very useful especially because of the built-in air pump. This helps in avoiding water evaporation. Plus the space ship looks really cool. For those who do not know what a sea monkey is or have only thought about buying a kit, this is the one you should definitely get. Just add some water and the sea monkey eggs (included) and presto! You've got instant pets. These little shrimps help reduce stress and may even help create some responsibility on the young ones as they learn to take care of things. And since you have to feed these little companions only once a week (sea monkey food included) there is no necessity to worry too much about them. Oh and one other thing, check out the web on how to raise a rainbow of sea monkeys. Yes, you can make sea monkeys of different colors! If for curiosity alone (like myself) this is a must by toy for children and adults alike.

The brightest star in the strategy game constellation
If you like strategy games you've probably played Civilization II. Not doing so would be the same as saying you like desserts but have never tasted apple pie. Alpha Centauri is a rare treat for your strategy gaming taste buds. This game takes up where Civilization II left off - humanity departing Earth, heading for the star Alpha Centauri and it's planetary system to start afresh. We begin in typical human fashion - divided - the colonists have split into 7 factions, each seeking to develop their new home in their own fashion.

Gameplay is similar to Civilization II. As head of one of the factions you start with a single city, the first objective being exploration of the surrounding darkness and establishing your civilization. Quickly you encounter others and are faced with decisions. The game demands that you strike the right strategic balance between the imperatives of exploration, research, building and conquest. How will you seek to win? Through economic victory, military conquest or achieving transcendence? The ability to achieve different victories underlies one of the strengths of the game. Each faction has well developed philosophies and ideologies and their approach to life on Planet is influenced by these biases and it affects gameplay. For instance the Morganites emphasize economic development, the University faction pursues research, Gaians have an environmentally friendly approach to living on the planet and the UN group seeks peace and harmony. Beliefs affect behaviour and interaction between factions is excellently managed through a sophisticated diplomacy framework. Dealing with the Lord's believers and the militaristic Spartans is an exercise in patience and a lesson in managing aggression.

Another very sophisticated element is the ability to engage in social engineering which allows you to subtley shift your civilizations philosophy. Other strengths are the design workshop which allows for customization of units and the 'Governor' which can be fully automated to carry out city life according to the assigned imperatives (build, explore, research or military).

If the coming 'Empire Earth' lives up to it's promise, this game may be topped, but until then Alpha Centauri continues to shine as the brightest star in the strategy game genre.

                  A masterpiece...
I must admit, that when I first played Alpha Centauri I did'nt think too much of it. I got it of a friend, so I had to learn all of the controls without an instruction book. Now THAT is challenging. When I learned to play, however, I realised that this game could not have been made less complex than it is without slicing away some important pieces of the gameplay. The complexity is fascinating in itself, and the fact that the game is turn-based provides a relaxed feeling which is well needed in the current computer game climate. Alpha Centauri is an amazingly good game, on the border to perfection. It's time consuming, no doubt, but anyone with a bit of patience has countless hours of interesting gaming ahead of them.

                  Alien Resurrection
                  Made by Fox Interactive

Buy one from zShops for: $14.99
Take two parts weak plot, a hint of bad controls and crummy auto aiming, add a dash of overdone stretches of boredom amidst short stretches of rather fierce action, and you've got Alien: Resurrection's downside. But here's the upside: these are Ridley Scott's aliens, and they're coming for you relentlessly. The game gives you the heebie-jeebies when you're playing it all alone with the lights turned low. The tension often can become palpable as you reload your weapon, administer a health pack, and pray that the beasts don't hit you from a direction that you hadn't anticipated.

The premise of the game is pretty standard Alien fare: you, as Ripley, are locked in a life-or-death outer-space struggle to keep the devious Dr. Wren from bringing alien samples to earth. What more is there to know?

The atmosphere that's created by Alien: Resurrection's various environments, animations, and sounds is the primary reason to purchase this game. Because it relies heavily on suspense (the sense that these adversaries can be nowhere and everywhere at the same time has never been more real in a game), Alien: Resurrection sometimes can go even beyond what you'd consider merely scary to an entirely new terrorizing experience. The game engine supports all of this with atmospherics like lighting effects, fogging, dripping water (and blood?), and other particle effects, without causing you to endure much--if any--slowdown.

But suspense can go only so far. As in the movies, if the actual confrontations with the aliens don't live up to expectations, the whole game suffers. Even as they start off with a bang, the alien encounters follow a script. After making a dramatic entrance, they mostly just give you the bum's rush without any thought for using available cover, or even jogging from side to side as they advance. With their plodding movements, it's no surprise, when you actually get into the alien firefight that you've been expecting and craving, that the tension completely disappears. --Todd Mowatt

                    Pros:

                    • Genuinely suspenseful
                    • Great graphics and atmospherics
                    Cons:
                    • Weak plot, with boring stretches
                    • Predictable alien encounters
                    Average review score:

                    Most horrifying game ever
Although I didn't think the game was all that good, it is worth playing atleast once just to see how scary it is. The good things about it are that it's better than the movie, the graphics are great & smooth, and the controls are great too. But the bad things are that its pretty boring after awhile, and is way too hard even on the easiest mode. But if you like getting scared, nothing comes close to this, not even The Thing on ps2. The game is so dark that you can hardly see, but that makes it better. As you wonder down hallways, you feel as if you're totally safe, then several aliens will suddenly pop up from seemingly nowhere and attack. And if you happen to escape from and alien, he'll be gone when you return, but then he'll pop out again just when you think it's ok to move. Its really exciting.

                    An Alien Fans Dream
Alien Resurrection has to be my favorite Alien movie of the legacy and I was very pleased with the game. Sure, its a PS1 game but that doesn't change the fact that it is a great game. I think that the controls are great and very easy (unlike other reviewers). Many people have complained that using two analog sticks to move(one moves and strafes, the other looks)is tough but if you have ever played Max Payne on PS2, then I'm sure you'll get along just fine with these controls. As for the rest of the game, it is truely a masterpiece. The atmosphere is great and you actually feel that you are in the USM Auriga, traveling through the dark, seemingly abandoned tunnels, trying to escape the horrifying aliens that appear out of the shadows. There is no music (which adds suspense and panic), just the sounds of the creaky hull of the ship, Father: the super computers voice, and the breath of the nearby aliens. The sounds are actually recorded from the movie itself! The graphics are just the normal PS1 graphics you see in most PS1 games but they are just fine with me. The aliens can walk, jump, spit acid, communicate with eachother, and even crawl on walls and ceilings! And not only are there your standard aliens, but there are facehuggers that actually latch on to your face and put a chest burster in you that will explode from your chest after a while! Cool! And of course, as you've guessed, the alien queen and the newborn are in the game as well. This game is recommended to be played in the dark and it should be. It scares me to death in a good way in the dark and it makes you feel even more "in the game" in the dark. This is a must have game for any alien fan or just anyone who likes 1st person shooters. Go buy this game!! You won't be disappointed...

                    Control Freak
To really appreciate this game you need to play it with a playstation mouse, other reviews have raved about the graphics and how scary the game is but complained about the bad control method. I agree completely that to play the game with your standard analogue joypad is frustrating, but with a mouse it plays like any other FPS on the PC. If you don't have a mouse buy one it's worth it just to play this game at it's full potential.

This deluxe Ant Farm Village comes with two stackable mini ant farms (both with colorful 3-D scenes) that can connect to the central ant village. Start with any of the three habitats by themselves and then connect the others one at a time with the flexible ant-way travel tubes. The accompanying instruction book offers useful tips for successful ant farming as well as a wealth of information about the insects. All necessary materials to begin an ant farm are included--even a certificate for free ants within the continental U.S. and Canada (consumer must pay only shipping and handling). --Heather Hawkins

                      SAVE THE ANTS-TEACH COMPASSION
Please avoid purchasing this product unless you are ready to explain to your children the concepts of death and dying. After waiting over 2 months to receive the ants, they arrived in tiny tubes with ants and their numerous body parts smeared on the sides of the tubes. They travelled without food or water. Only 12 ants out of what looked to be 30 made it. Four were missing limbs. The ant food ordered extra never arrived so I gave them a mango sliver (small) and water. I lovingly would watch and pray that they would survive but they died one by one. The living ants piled up the dead and nervously avoided that area. The ant farm was a SAD, PATHETIC example of how we allow animals/insects to suffer at our hands on a daily basis. No matter how well I took care of them, they were doomed from the start. A friend purchased this for me. I would have NEVER bought this product but felt compelled to handle the situation. Please reconsider this item. Ants are living creatures-NOT TOYS! They are not disposable/replaceable! TEACH compassion. Uncle Milton never responded to my email concerning this matter.

                      Sadly dissapointed
We purchased this gift for our five year old because he has loved catching catrpillars and feeding and setting free the moth that would amerge. Little did we know were setting him up to learn about death in such a vivid fashion. It was just so cruel to find out that these ant would not be living and breeding, just tolling without purpose and dieing.
I would not recomend this item for anyone of any age.

                      Awesome Science Fair Project
We purchased the Uncle Milton Extrem Ant Farm for our daughter's school Science Fair. The ant farm worked out wonderfully. The ants made all their tunnels just as pictured. Further, the ants do NOT escape and in this farm they are easy to feed. We purchased our... cheaper then the certificate price that come with the Ant Farm and quicker shipment.
