Shame for the series
When I saw this game in the stores I was druling. Now that I played it I think GOD HELP THE IDIOT WHO MADE THIS!!!!!!Horrible graphics, gets rid of the FPS name, and simmilar levels.Sure I like strategy games like AVP extention. But this its its horrible!!!!!Yes it keeps up the story but, everything else brings it down to 0%.I don,t think it had music! If it did, I was to shocked to listen.BIG TIP FOR GAMERS, DON'T BUY IT...

Terrible waste of money
This is a top down view fighting game. You move through different levels looking for guns and killing aliens. I hate it. The graphics are poor. There is no memory. When you complete a level it gives you a stupid code to move to the next level. There should be a sign on the box if a game has memory or not.

Thanatos will blow you away
For its time and system the game is one of the best. The plot is intriguing enough to keep you playing and the fighting, albeit tough at times, is a whole lot of fun.
Graphics:7- For GameBoy color, the graphics are great, but again this is gameboy color, the graphics do have some flaws. The character and alien models arent all that great, but you can tell what is what and that is all that really matters. The background ares are fantastic though. suprisingly good in fact. the shooting effects are good too.
Sound:8- the music track is ok, nothing speacial. But the effects are very good, the noise when a gun goes off and when and alien dies are almost astounding.
Gameplay:10- possibly one of the most fun games on GBC. if it were put on Ps2 or the Gamecube, it could be a contender for game of the decade. It is so fun going into a shoot-out with double shotguns and bustin some heads, nothing in the world can match the exhiloiration of close combat with an advanced soldier boss and the last battle will have you challenged for a few tries. The overall chllenge is good too. I couldnt get past the second levelk until i had practiced for a week and a half. It ios very fun and will never get boring.
the weapons from the movie come in great handy and are fun to use. You can have double pulse rifles for pete's sake! The pistol and shotgun are nothing new, but the incinerator and smart gun will leave your enemies in the dust and the most awesome part... you can drive a power loader! It increses your armor and you can still use both weapons. Its like protoss shielding on Starcraft but better! There is no beating this game on gameboy.
Overall:9- there IS NO better game for any gameboy system except maybe matroid fusion, but to compare with that is a rare honor. this gakme stands ouyt as an outstanding edition to the gameboy archive and should be apart opf any gameboy afficionado's collection. buy it now before it gets out of print! It is well worth the money.

    Boring
Didn't like that you can't fight the bad guys with two rangers like you could in Light speed. My kids thought it wa boring!!

    A Nice Game
I changed my mind, I just had to get used to this game, I do recommend buying it if you are a fan of power rangers and it's worth the [item price].

    Galaga

Based on the classic 1980s arcade game, Galaga will have players once again blasting wave after wave of aliens as a lone starfighter pilot. The alien invaders have already destroyed the rest of the fleet, and it is now up to you to stop their advance towards Earth. While the game is set in a 3-D universe, players can still choose the classic top-down view, as well as behind-the-ship and side-scrolling views. There are 10 levels, each containing different challenges and bonus rounds. During the course of the game, players can collect new weapons to add to their arsenal, including aliens.

      It ain't what you think
I like others was hoping for the original arcade game simply available on the PS2.
Alas this was not to be.
I guess it is an ok game, but they really should have given it other name.
      JMHO

A [bad], shoot 'em up game
What's wrong with Galaga: DE? The music is great, but the game is not. The stage begins with a classic angle, followed by a side angle and end it with a pilot angle that is hard to shoot from, but easy to kill a swarm. There's no way you can save the game in progress after you turn it off, why?, because you can use up all 3 lives to continue the game. The classic Galaga is better!

      NOT a classic version!
...I immediately started playing but then realized this is a joke of a video game. I was looking for a replica of the arcade version from the 1980s but this game had nothing of that sort. I mean, they could at least put in some classic arcade version if they beat the game(if you ever do)! Plus, some of the silly little mode things are totally impossible to hit the dang aliens. The only reason I didn't give this game a big fat 1 is the bonus stages can sometimes be sort of fun and after you get off the first world thing, the second place has an interesting background. Hasbro Interactive should be ashamed of this poor attempt to take a classic video game and turn it into a fun game. This is not worth the money. If you see any good reviews about this game, I suggest you pretend they aren't even there because this game just plain STINKS!!!

        Terriific microscope for the money
This item is well worth it for the money. I played with it for 3 hours straight when we opened it up. It is a neat looking microscope and with lots of accessories. Great for the kids to learn and also adults! I bought this to look at specimens to see if we had lice, mites etc in our house. We could see that it was just dandruff & lint. Best to see at low resolution though, higher was blurry at times. I was going to get an expensive Meade brand microscope for this purpose, but this one did the job just fine and will continue to do so.

        OH PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You call this a microscope!? I had bought this last year just for the fun of it, and it comes in a large pack of cool looking things like dissecting stuff and stains. And oh boy all of it did not last very long. The first time I looked in it was nothing but blurrs and all sorts of [stuff]. I cant even reccomed this hunk of trash to begginers. ITS USLESS GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!
This goes out to begginers, If you want a worthy microscope, I reccomend going to .... They give you everything you need including strong optics microscopes. Trust me, you don't want this microscope or if it is even a microscope!

        Inexpensive Microscopes
One of the worst things people can do is sell someone a cheap microscope or telescope. Microscopes of this nature do more harm than good. The optics are plastic and extremely poor. The focusing is very course and very poor. The idea of using 750x power is very misleading, you need a lense with oil at that power. Get imformation on microscopes and buy a decent one. They are not that expensive new or buy a good quality used one for less than fifty dollars. Just don't but a cheap plastic miroscope. If someone has the interest don't ruin it with a bad microscope.

          Pretty bad
When it first came out, the graphics for this game were state-of-the-art. Now they are not good. The gameplay is very forgetable as well, it plays like a futuristic Tomb Raider with lousy puzzles.

The only possible reason to buy this game is that the voice of Blasto is done by the great Phil Hartman.

          Fun over Funny
The game was great for the first few levels, but it is very repeating. The control is good, but the view could be improved. Overall I would recommend renting the game, but don't make the mistake of buying it.

          Not all that great
From what I was hearing about "Blasto," I was expecting it to be an awesome game. After I played it, I thought it was mediocre. It has good graphics and a cool storyline, but its bad control ruins all the fun. "Blasto" has some cool territories to explore and some great effects, and for awhile it's a little bit of fun.

If adventure/sci-fi games are what you like, I would recommend renting "Blasto," but I wouldn't recommend buying it because you will get frustrated with the controls after a few minutes.

Great toy even from a physics standpoint
The toy is a practical example of a solar system in motion. Creating a mechanical solar system with an actual scaled speed showing the planets motion (as the apalled physics teacher stated) would simply be impractical as Pluto would appear motionless while Mercury whirl furiously around the sun. Presenting a drillpress-like danger to children. That level of realism is more appropriate in educational software. Secondly even if it were to accurately depict the proper speed of the planets orbits it would still "appal" physics teachers since all the model planets would still trace unrealistic circular orbits and distance scales could never be accurately shown. In its present form this model is an exciting demonstration of the solar system and an excellent decoration for any childs room.

No reviews found for this product.
            Don't!
I'm NOT a physics professor, but I guess my expectations were much higher than some of the other reviewers. [$$$]is too much money for this toy. If your purpose is to demonstrate to your child the workings of our Solar System, then a reasonably true movement of the planets around our Sun IS important. You won't get that with this toy. If all you're after is to provide your child with a fun model that demonstrates the order of the planets this model does that. I also wasn't impressed with the overhead constellation map.

No reviews found for this product.
The physics profs were too hard on this item
While this toy does not demonstrate the actual relative speeds of the planets around the Sun (planets closer to the Sun move faster), you shouldn't expect it to for 40 bucks. That kind of authenticity would cost a lot more. The educational value of this toy is still sound and anything that increases the awareness of the worlds outside our own for our kids is of value.

because i can't give ZERO stars...
              Background info:
I work at a movie theatre, we have an arcade, and RUSH 2049 is one of our games. I've been playing it for TWO years now... And I have officially declared it the best arcade game ever.
I decided to buy the Game Boy version of it, check it out... Play it whenever I didn't have 75 cents to play the arcade one.
I was so excited when I got it in the mail. I looked all over the house for my Game Boy (hey, I knew I had one; that's why I got the game... FINDING it was another story...) and finally found it. Popped in the game and started to play. The music and start screens were pretty cool looking, and then I got to the race. My mouth dropped open and I just sat there and stared at the screen. I didn't know what to do. IT'S HORRIBLE! I'm sorry, for those who say it has "wonderful graphics" or whatever, what have you been playing for the past 20 years? ATARI?! Hands down, this game was lame. I was upset because I paid nearly $10 for it. It's horrible.
If you love the arcade game (or even the 64/Dreamcast games) then DO NOT waste your money on this. It isn't even worth it.

              Alright.
I'd have to say that this game is not that bad, but is not that good either! The graphics are mostly good. The only really bad thing is that it is so easy! I beat it in two days. I didn't play it till a month after I got it because it has no storyline and is hard to get into. There are way better games out there, but maybe you will like it better than I did.

              I have to disagree
I must disagree with you. The graphics are VERY good for a gameboy, and the sound is good, too. I think that the cars go pretty fast, and the reason the music "goes on and off", is because every time you pass a checkpoint, a short tune starts to play. If it crashed your GameBoy, (how?), use the waranty.

                Its a waste of money
I bought this for my grandson for Christmas. The screen was so dark he couldn"t see it. The technical support staff told me to return it, I shipped it back to Ill., many weeks later it was returned to me with a note saying there was nothing wrong with it. I turned it on, it didn't work, I called the company, was told to send it back again. I just got it back for the second time, it still doesn't work, I spoke to the company today, was told to send it back again ( for the third time) and they will replace it, same thing they said last time. Its now past Easter, the "Christmas Gift" still doesn"t work, and I am out the cost of the computor plus shipping costs X2. No one should ever buy this product, its a piece of junk and the company doesn't stand behind its product. I would give o stars. or minus stars if I could.

Too advanced for a six-year old
I was disappointed with this product only because when we finally found one after they were all sold out at Christmas, the 100 activities that they boast about were mostly too advanced for a new 6-year-old, although the product indicates that it is appropriate for ages 6+. I called Scholastic, and they indicated that their manual says it is for 5+. Also, it does not have a verbal aspect to it, so you must be a very good reader (beyond the "easy reader" stage. This was especially hard due to the fact that many of the games are based on how quickly you can answer the question. Well, my 6-yr-old kindergartener just learned to read 3-4 months ago and is still reading "easy reader" books. In order for him to enjoy this, I would have to sit with him, and even then the material was just too advanced, and my son is very bright. Perhaps in a year it will be more his speed, but for $70, I'd rather return it and get something that he can use now.

                mom's friend
Both my younger daughters received these for Christmas and have spent hours each day playing with them. To them they are the real deal. They especially love the word processing feature. Their older sister even uses it to help her with her Spanish studies. The only thing to make it better would be to hook up a printer and the availability of more CD's. What a great gift!

                  BAD GAME
When I got this game, I thought it was going to be like the movie, with good graphics and a great theme, but then i started playing and I almost cried just looking at the HORRIBLE graphics, DO NOT BUY this game. I bought it just because i'm a fan of the movie, but stay away from it if you have the chance, it ruins all the good memories you have from the movie. I just want to say to the people who made this game SHAME ON YOU. The only reason i give 2 stars to this game is because i loved the movie and it resembles to the movie in a MINIMUM way

                  slow, frustrating
The game makes you think as at the end of a level it says you've only got eg. half the hidden goods so you go back but alas you can't find anything new?? plus I'm stuck on level 7 with leeloo for days hours of play and can't finish so can I find help no, noone will help? there's no walkthrus anywhere and every one I try to chat to about it can't help anyone out there shona.pruden@xtra.co.nz

                  take it from ME
Dont listen to those jerks saying it was a dumb game its relly cool even though the grapics were a little off ok. But befour you play the game you shoud defetly see the movie youll understand it beter.

                    This toy is junk.
In theory, this is a great toy. It is very realistic, and you are supposed to be able to put the astronauts in the command module and the LEM for great imaginative play.

In reality, this toy falls apart the minute you remove it from the packaging. You can't put the astronauts anywhere because they splinter and you can't pull the components apart as shown because pieces break off at the lightest touch.

It is NOT worth the price and NOT worth the disappointment on a child's face.

Purchased this item, and as the other reviewers have mentioned, it fell apart in our hands. NOT for Kids!!!!!!!!!! I am attempting to find another like item, but I have my doubts!

                    Durability is -1 star.

A flimsy toy that frustrates children and adults alike
My five year old son received this as a gift for Christmas, and by that evening, little pieces were falling off with no prodding. A footing from the lunar module fell off the next morning, and when I tried looking it over to see if it could be fixed, two more came off in my hands! My son is so frustrated, as he knows he is being careful as he attempts to play with it while more pieces simply break off. The metallic look of the set is very misleading - think aluminum foil as opposed to a heavier metal. My son has received similar sets, and they have fared well even after months of use. I am ready to toss this out (and would if I could take it away without him being upset as he really likes the astronaut voice recording). I would never recommend this set, as it has frustrated my five year old and my husband and I alike. My husband thought it could only have cost $5.00 or so, and nearly fell off his chair when I told him it was almost $40.00!! Too bad, as the educational value of an imaginary play toy like this is why people do pay so much for such a small toy. Hopefully the maker will get smart and start producing a better quality set to match the example they are trying to promote for our children.
