Sometimes in the course of reviewing toys, even an experienced reviewer will be forced to exclaim, out loud, "Why didn't they have this when I was a kid?" And it really doesn't seem fair. Certain reviewers would have really appreciated this outdoor adventure equipment kit. It features a flashlight, a folding compass, a working camera, binoculars, a digital watch, and a telescope. Nothing in the kit is state-of-the-art, of course, nor would you expect it to be. But it all works well enough for a kid to learn a lot more about the great outdoors than they otherwise would. And that's why certain reviewers are kind of jealous of these kids today. --John Moe

junk pieces of plastic

I ordered three of these (the silver ones), one for my three and half year old son, and one each for his cousins aged 5 and 6. The set looked beautiful in the package, but when I opened the package and took the binoculars in hand, I realized I was holding a junk piece of plastic! One of the eyepieces broke within a minute due to the poorly designed (?) hinge. The telescope is supposedly a 10X power, but is just a plastic tube with two lenses on each end. The compass keeps pointing to the East as North. The flashlight seems like the best of the six items. A bonus wrist watch is so thick and huge that forget 6 year olds, it's big even for adults. The set also includes a fixed focus, fixed speed, no flash, reusable camera. I am sure it will take pictures, but I am not inclined to keep it. I am returning all the three sets. (...)

At (the price) my expectations were already not very high. But with this quality, this stuff is not even worth the packaging and shipping charges.

why people stop buying shooters

my title speaks for itself. this is not just a bad shooter game but a bad game period. the graphics are garbage (the ship looks like someone cut out triangles and taped them together) and the sound is like hearing soemone smashed cans together for the length of the game. no acceleration (at least not by the ship) and controlling the craft was difficult.i played raycrisis and expected better from akklaim but thats asking for too much. i wouldn't suggest anyone buy this game or pay full price for, you will be disappointed

Disappointed. Expected 3d puzzle which would look somewhat like the photo representation. Simply a 1/2" plywood puzzle which creates a silouette only. Very misleading advertisement. I returned mine as soon as I opened the box.

A Horrible Game

Novastorm is a shooter with some very cool space and planet landscapes. But the ship is absolutely unresponsive! It's easy to bump into things that can kill you and it's very hard to find the things that you're supposed to shoot! There are no FMV sequences either! DO NOT BUY!!!

My wife bought this piece of junk for my kids room, and I can't believe she wasted so much money for a piece of uninteresting plastic.

THis game is so boring! You walk around trying to find aliens, that's it. The objects and doors are really hard to see so you get stuck in area's really easy. I still haven't found one alien yet. I'll be selling this game soon.
