why i so badly want this item......

When I write this review, the rover is currently on the red planet performing all sorts of experiments. Buy it now before it becomes more expensive.

As the picture shows, you get 4 different models in this package - the full-blown Saturn V, which ends up being over a foot high, a lunar rover about the size of a typical LEGO vehicle, a command module, and a lunar lander.
It comes with clear, complete instructions. Mom or Dad will want to help the first time with the stickers, but other than that, these are kid-friendly designs.
Fun? - My son has put these together and taken them apart many, many times.
Educational Value? - He also loves to reproduce the entire lunar mission - blasting off, jettisoning the stages, orbiting the moon, landing on the moon, driving around, docking, and finally re-entering the atmosphere.
Durability? - This is LEGO, folks. I don't know how you COULD break this, short of taking a welding torch to the pieces.
Highly recommended.

Can anyone say "masterpiece?"Graphics: 4/5
For the Gameboy at the time, these were great. The picture is sharp and clear, just like the NES games. The only problem is you have less room on the screen to move around, but other than that, the graphics are fine.
Challenge: 4.25/5
This game is longer than any other Game Boy Mega Man, and for the most part tougher. Crystal Man's stage is a living nightmare. You're not gonna beat it on your first try.
Play Control: 3.5/5
Just like Mega Man 3 on the NES. Walk, shoot or charge, jump, slide. The Mega Buster has a slight kick in this game, so be careful or you may knock yourself off a cliff.
Theme/Fun: 4/5
It's a portable Mega Man game, and was by far the best one to its time. This is the one that introduced an item replicator, something very common in the classic series games now. Likewise, the game's got cool characters, weapons, and everything else.
Storyline: 4/5
Wily goes to a robot design contest and sabotages several entries to do his work for him. The plot sounds thin at first, but there are dialogue and cut scenes to establish it as an excellent one.
Music/sound: 4/5
Once again, remixed NES tunes in most places and good sound effects. The music in Wily's space fortress is just killer.
Overall: 4.75/5
If you only get one Mega Man Game Boy game, make it 4 or 5. They are tough to find, but well worth the effort if you can hunt them down. This is about as close as a Mega Man game gets to perfect.

Action packed game! This game has to have the most superb graphics I have seen in a Gameboy Color title, the team who made this really put alot of efforts into using every bit of power the GameboyColor can pump out. This game runs at 60 FPS all the time! Even when a ton of ennemies drop out from the skies! Make use of 5 killer weapons that you can upgrade! And wipe out those baddies with a bomb so big they'd wish they took a vacation.
I also sometimes find myself pausing and listening to the music. Especially in the second level, god that music is AMAZING. This is something else that makes this title very grand!
This high-action packed game will certainly make your "Games of the year" list!

Has Ptolemy, Copernicus, Galileo, Hawking, Moon landings, shuttle missions. There are real pictures of constellations and space views. Examples of constellations are also drawn in. Fun page, 2 more games.
Pages 24-25 is a know it all game, pretty much the end of the book. There are 26 pictures, some drawn and some of real photos. For example a photo of the sun and it will ask you to point to a ball of hot gas when you play the games on that page.
Page 26 is a glossary of 36 different words covered in the book. Touch it and you get the definition...food chain, habitat, spectrum, etc. A game to go with it also.
All in all, this is a nice book. I prefer these type to the story ones like Scooby Doo, although the kids like them too. Of course, a lot of the descriptions and lessons here just scratch the surface, but for the 8 year old level, that is what they need. Too much info and it would be confusing and they would lose interest. In my opinion you can't go wrong with this book. A regular book can look nice, but when the kids can touch a book and her so many different things, it makes it funner and more likely to stick. Plus, to play the games on each page, you have to listen to what the book tells you and if you get the answers right, you know the kids are learning something.

This is a great toy for kids to play with in the tub or pool after building!
I actually had the same toy (just an older version) when I was a kid, and I played with it constantly!

One of the most underrated games EVER!Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels is a brilliant strategy based FPS of old school PSX (there is a 3DO edition as well) set in the distant future.
The "Blood Angels" is a religious-political order(Try to think of them as future day Crusader/Templars) that has conquered space and established itself as the most efficient means of warfare. Even though some of the Crusader (They all happen to have Judeo-Christian names, such as Ezechiel, Jacob, etc.) are blessed with the gift of psychic powers -used to detect the presence of psychic activity- they all carry a wide arrange of weapons, including: Guns, Rifles, Flame-throwers, Grenade-throwers, Energy Swords, Chain-saws and Drills.
The game takes place inside a derelict spacecraft, taken over by a horde of super intelligent, albeit primitive, alien beings. Although not crafted in the art of technology, these creatures are efficient hunters, equipped with a powerful set of arms, legs and claws, capable of tearing apart a Blood Angel's armor like butter. Some of these aliens can develop psychic activity, slowly mutating until they develop a human-like physical appearance.
The missions are not your conventional FPS'. The first three or so missions you are nothing but a low Blood Angel who receives and most carry one orders, (The game environment usually includes more than one player, some of the missions can include more than 20 Blood Angels, with up to 10 Blood Angels at once on the screen!) but as you progress through the spaceship, you need to give the orders and carry on the mission with the less casualties possible. Some missions will be straight and easy, such as picking up a battery cell, closing doors, or defending entry ways while the rest of the Brothers carry on the mission. Other times, though, you will be forced to sacrifice a few of the Brothers in order to carry on the mission.
But there is more!!! Not only do you get the Space craft missions, but a wide set of training missions as well, some of them more difficult than the actual game itself!!
It is too bad this game is no longer available, (But it is even more bad that I traded my copy for a lame game called Tomb Raider 3!) if you enjoy strategy and FPS games, you should get your hands on this rarity as SOON as you see one, you won't be disappointed.
